Bella smiled, realizing how zoned in on what was happening with Ronnie that she had failed to acknowledge Seth, she waved to him quickly, “You look very handsome!” She smiled again, dropping her hands to her side as she turned to Esme. The fact that Esme found no harm in what Bella had said to Ronnie gave her great comfort. Esme was such an amazing influence , and Bella knew if she could be half as cordial and respectful of others as Esme was, that she could be proud of her actions. She gave a small nod, still unsure of how long she would be able to keep that outlook towards Ronnie. Bella smiled as Edward pulled her out to the dance floor, and quickly gave a small wave of her fingers to Esme as she followed her husband to the dance floor. She turned to face him with a small smile as she wrapped one of her arms around his neck. “ You look dazzling this evening if I must say so myself, Edward,” She smiled, biting the edge of her lip before she stood on her toes to kiss his cheek, resting her head into the crane of his neck. She closed her eyes as she took in the scent that made her feel more safe than anything else in the world.

Nate was a little taken back at Alicia’s thanks, and mentally reminded himself that she was not a normal child by many standards, and that she grew differently. He did not bother to stop the laugh and bright smile to his face when Alicia asked if he had saved many princesses. Nathaniel then remembered his costume, and what it would seem like to a child. He also realized that he could honestly tell Alicia that he had saved true princesses. Nathaniel could still feel a friendly smile grace his lips as he nodded in answer to Alicia’s question, “Yes little one, I have saved a princess or two in my day.” Nathaniel knew that a few at the party would realize that his comments were more then just those meant to appease a child’s curiosity.
Nathaniel offered another smile when Nessie greeted him saying it was good to see him. Nate smiled slightly and nodded his head, “As it is good to see you as well Nessie, you seemed to be confined to your home lately.” He waited patiently as Nessie reminded her daughter of who he was, and of the gift he had given to her not long after her birth. Nathaniel by no means expected little Alicia to remember him, or the day that he had brought the gifts for the small family. But he did appreciate that Nessie remembered that morning with clarity. Alicia then thanked Nathaniel for the blanket a few moments later, and she began to take in the party going on around her.
Nathaniel nodded his head to the little girl in front of him, “You are quite welcome little one.” Nate then looked to Nessie and bowed his head, “I should allow you to go back to visiting with your family; I hope you have a good evening.”

William wondered for a few seconds if he had put Vanessa on the spot too much by walking around her. He had only meant for it to be a joke, but he did not see much on her face in the way of annoyance as she watched him. "well, yeah, turning into a pixie can do that to people.” William nodded with a grin, “Good point, and that is sorta the whole point of putting on a costume is to be someone else.” William felt his grin grow slightly as he noticed her blushing at his compliment. Vanessa thanked him and returned the compliment about his own costume. William stepped back and held his arms out slightly turning in a circle, “You like it? It took a long while for it to come in; there for a couple days I wondered if it was going to be here on time.”
Vanessa applauded his achievement of not spilling anything on his new couch. “Yeah and if you don’t believe me you should come over sometime and see for yourself.” William grinned jokingly knowing that Vanessa probably did actually believe him.

Renesmee was glad to see that Alicia remembered who Nathaniel was by mentioning her blanket, which she never slept without now. She smiled as Nathaniel obliged Alicia's curiousity about saving a princess because he was dressed as a prince. Her daughter had one of the most active imaginations she had ever seen, but she was grateful for those like Nathaniel who actually took the time to nuture that imagination. Looking back at him, she nodded about being confined to her home lately. "It was more or less me trying to figure out how to be a new mom," she said, laughing lightly. "But now that Alicia's older, getting out is easier and a lot more fun for us."
Looking around at the rest of the party, she saw that both of her parents had now arrived, so almost everyone in their family was now here. "I should probably go say hello to my parents and Alice, especially," she said in reply to Nathaniel mentioning allowing her to get back to her family. "Thank you so much Nathaniel and I hope to see you again in the near future." With those words, she looked back to her husband and smiled. "How about we go say hi to my parents first. I know my mom's probably itching to see Alicia."

“Good point, and that is sorta the whole point of putting on a costume is to be someone else.” She smiled back at him. "I've always wanted to be a pixie. Even when I was little. My friends would play princess and I would play pixie...to say the least, I didn't fit in well." She said, joking. She had always wanted to be a pixie, but she fit in extremely well. The girls like when she played pixie. They used to think the pixie could give them pixie dust and grant their wishes. She smiled remembering the days back at her old house. “You like it? It took a long while for it to come in; there for a couple days I wondered if it was going to be here on time.” She laughed a little. "Well, it did. And you look like Prince Charming!" She said, stepping forward a little and adjusting his jacket. “Yeah and if you don’t believe me you should come over sometime and see for yourself.” She laughed and smiled. "I guess I'll have to. I really don't believe you haven't spilt anything on it yet. There have been at least 5 football games. Aren't guys supposed to get really into those and scream at the tv and spill stuff?" She asked jokingly. That was just the stereotype she imagined.

Jacob had gotten side tracked by watching some of the people across the room and he missed most of the exchange between Nessie, Alicia and Nathaniel, but he smiled. He knew that Nathaniel was a very important person in the Black's family now because of how he had taken care of Nessie and Alicia in their time of need, while Jacob had to be with the pack. Jacob would be forever grateful to him. Then he heard Nessie suggest seeing her parents first because Bella would probably be itching to see Alicia. Jacob nodded in agreement and then took her hand and led the way. When Jacob realized that Bella and Edward were now on the dance floor, he turned Nessie and said "Hmm, your parents seem a little bit preoccupied right now, let's detour to Esme and Alice. He then turned a bit to steer their course in their direction, then he noticed that there was a new girl with them, no doubt that they would all be introduced within the next few moments.
As they walked up Jacob smiled. "Trick or treat? He jokingly asked, using it as a way to break the ice and announce their coming. To Alice he winked and he knew that since he wouldn't be able to get away from it, he initiated giving Esme a hug. He didn't mind though, Esme was a wonderful person and he was comforted that she was a part of their family, even if it was his extended family.

As Alice introduced Elena to Esme, she felt as though Elena would love Esme just as much as everyone else did. It was a proven fact that once you met Esme you simply just adored her. Alice appreciated her family more than anyone could imagine, especially given that she had no recollection of the human family that had abandoned her in the insane asylum when she had visions as a human. Within a few moments, she caught sight of her beloved niece, godchild, and nephew as they were making their way over. Admittedly, she loved their costumes and how they dressed together as a family. Alice missed dressing up as a couple, but she pushed that from her mind as they made their way over.
As Jacob winked, she couldn't help but smile and laugh, her voice chiming like bells. "It's good to see you too Jacob," she said. She immediately turned her attention to Renesmee and the adorable child in her arms. It had been quite sometime since she had last seen Renesmee and Alicia, so it was wonderful to see them there at the party. It lifted her spirits and brought a smile to her face. "Hello little one," she said gently, so not to startle Alicia. "Do you remember who I am?" she asked sweetly.

Simply nodding as Jacob suggested they go see Esme and Alice instead, Renesmee followed her husband across the room to where her grandmother and aunt were standing with someone else that she did not recognize. When they arrived, Jacob greeted them in his usual sarcastic manner laced with humor, giving Esme a hug and Alice a wink. Renesme couldn't help but laugh at her husband because this was just how he was on a daily basis, regardless of if it was Halloween or not. That was only one of the many reasons she was married to him and she loved every moment of it. He kept her life interesting.
A moment later, Alice had turned her attention on Renesmee and Alicia. Renesmee knew that Alicia had recognized Alice a few minutes earlier, so she would be a little more comfortable with her approaching than if it were someone else. As Alice greeted Alicia and asked her if she knew who she was, Renesmee waited for her daughter to respond in her own way, knowing it would take her a minute as she was still only a child.

Alicia smiled when Alice asked if she remembered who she was. Still wearing a smile she looked down at the ground shyly and whispered “Alice.” Alicia sounded like it was hard for her to spit out the name at first, but being the rather shy child she was around unfamiliar people, or people she did not know very well it was perfectly normal. She looked back up into Alice’s eyes and grinned a rather wide smile. You could probably compare this encounter looking much like the kind you might see at Disney World when a child gets his or her first chance to meet Mickey Mouse. “You look pretty.” She said quickly with a smile before burying her face into her mother shoulders and looking back at Alice every now and then.
Alicia watched as her father and mother closely making sure she was not acting too terribly shy. Her parents depending on their actions and emotions tended to fill her up with peace and energy to interact with the world around her.

Post by Raine Aurora-North on Nov 18, 2009 13:49:27 GMT -5
Raine sighed and watched as her cousin Jay walked past her and out the house, and she heard when he started his bike and drove off to his flat in town. Raine looked around at all the happy people at the party and knew she would never be able to have what they all had, a life with friends and family. She had Arkan and Jay, and im some way she had the Cullens too, but they never called her when there was any problems around with protecting the family. No one needed her to help, and she had devoted her life to Arkan and protecting his new family. But if they didnt even call her when help was needed, what good could she do there anymore. She looked at Arkans hand in hers, they belonged together, which was everything she needed, she just couldnt help wishing the Cullen would accept them as a part of their family too. She kissed Arkan and walked down the stairs and through the living room where everyone was having a great party and walked over to a tall vampire, she believed he was Nathaniel from what she had heard about him. "Hello, i dont think we have been introduced to each other, my name is Raine North, im married to Arkan north, the newest Cullen member even tho he dont carry the name. And i believe you are Nathaniel, the man who has helped my family alot lately." Raine said and reached her hand out for him to shake if he wished too. She looked around and saw Nessie with her daughter and Jacob. She waved to Nessie, Nessie had been the one to open her arms for Raine, they had been best friends before she married Jacob, just after they came back from England. She smiled remembering their hunting trips together, and their long talks. And Raine had been Nessies brides maid, and Rosalie the maid of honor.

“So what have you been doing lately?” Jordan said with a smile after leaning in and kissing Wesley. “I have not been doing anything to exciting beyond the normal little annoying things of life. Sometimes I wish that bills would just pay themselves.” Jordan laughed. “I also have to admit this is a rather interesting party. I have already met a few vampires myself.” Jordan flashed a smile. “But nothing compares to the person that is standing right in front of me.”
Jordan was finally very excited that Wesley was with her now. She felt slightly embarrassed at the fact she had not spotted him sooner, but did not think much of it because now he was her with her and that is all that mattered. Jordan looked around the room and spotted Elena who was now talking to some of the Cullen’s. Jordan smiled when she saw Alicia dressed up like a little tinker bell. “That child is so adorable.” She thought to herself. Looking back at Wesley she smiled and rapped her arms around him.

Alice smiled brightly as Alicia remembered her name, saying it softly. She understood that her little goddaughter was a shy one, but knew that if she were anything like Jacob or Renesmee, she would soon be over that and the center of attention in everyone's lives. When she buried her face into Renesmee's shoulder, Alice couldn't help but giggle a little at the display. It was in that moment that she longed for a child of her own, one she knew she would never have the way that Bella had Renesmee or even Renesmee had Alicia. That was one joy should would never know, but she put that behind her to live in the moment she had with her godchild. "And you are adorable," she chirped. "I didn't realize that we had our own little Tinkerbell."
Looking around the room once more, Alice caught sight of some other people that had recently arrived. She was excited to see the party turning out so well, but even more excited that her niece and godchild were there. Turning back to Alicia, she smiled warmly. "Would it be okay if I hold you for a few minutes sweetie?" she asked. "I promise I'll give you right back to your mommy if you want me to." Alice had not held Alicia since she was a newborn and was hoping that Alicia would allow her that opportunity.

Alicia was silent for a few seconds before agreeing to Alice’s request. After carefully observing her mother she felt that it was ok to allow Alice to hold her. Alicia was still a little nervous and shy but she tried to hide it. A smile spread across Alicia’s face and she nodded before quickly looking back at her mother for approval. Alicia had a lot she wanted to say, but still being very unsure with her unfamiliar environment she held back. The more Alicia looked at Alice the more comfortable she was beginning to get. She felt that maybe there was some kind of unknown connection between her and the women that was smiling brightly at her. Sticking her thumb in her mouth her eyes wandered down to the ground shyly as she waited for her mother to exchange her.
The lights of the party sparkled brightly from her left side and for a bit she started to pay attention to them. It was very easy for Alicia to get distracted by all the decorations that were all around her.

Renesmee was very glad that Alicia remembered Alice and that she was becoming a little more comfortable with their environment. It was a big deal to take a toddler to a family gathering, much less a party at the mansion, but Renesmee knew that her family had been itching to see the baby for quite some time now. As Alice asked to hold Alicia, she watched as her daughter shyly agreed to this, looking back up at her for reassurance. When she nodded, Alicia relaxed and she handed her over to Alice gently. She knew that the two of them had an unspoken connection and had since the moment she found out she was pregnant with Alicia. It was like they were twin souls that were born years apart; something Renesmee could not explain nor comprehend.
Without her baby in her arms, Renesmee felt a little cold, but was comforted by the presence of her husband and the fact that her daughter was less than five feet away in Alice's arms. Looking around at the party, she could feel the tension melting away of coming here. Everything was falling into place again, like it always used to...before everything went haywire. Tonight was definitely one of the best nights they had had in a while.

Alice smiled and held out her arms as Renesmee handed Alicia to her gently. The little girl was warm in her cold arms, but it was a nice feeling. Her scent was a perfect blend from her mother of human and vampire so that it masked the wolf smell, which really didn't bother Alice much anymore after spending thirty years near and around Jacob. Breathing in the scent of the little one, Alice couldn't have felt any happier than she did in that moment. Looking down at Alicia, she kissed the top of her head with the lightest of touches. "You look a lot like your mommy," she said softly to her, "but you have your daddy's smile for sure."
In that moment, Alice had a small vision of Renesmee and Jacob away on a trip so that Alicia was left with Bella and Edward. When she saw that, she smiled and knew that things were only going to get better for the family. Alicia was now a part of their family in every way. Swaying side to side a little, Alice rhythmically rocked Alicia to keep her comforted and calm in this very new and somewhat terrifying environment.
