“Hmmm.” She smiled, watching him and taking a look at his costume. He looked like a prince. She kind of wanted to laugh, but also thought it was very handsome. "Well, was your guess right?" She asked, eyebrows raised. She hoped he had known it was her. If he had guessed someone else, Lucy or Katelyn, if he even knew them yet, then it would be kind of awkward. You never saw it in movies were the guy guessed another girl's name. “Hey haven’t seen you in awhile, how’s it going?” She smiled brightly. "Great. The carriage turned into a pumpkin for quite a while. I was stuck at home doing chores for the wicked stepmother." She smiled, thinking how hilarious that would have been if she had come as Cinderella. "What about you? Hows that couch? Any spills yet?" She said, smirking a little at the joke from the furniture store.

Alicia clung to her mother as her eyes curiously looked around the room in awe. She was slightly shy being around the amounts of new people that were gathered but she was also very interested by all the various costumes in the room. Of course to Alicia, she really believed that Dorothy and the various other characters were the real deal minus her mother and father of course. She recognized a few faces, but not enough to really remember anything about them.
She locked her eyes on a flapper in the distance and smiled. Gently she tugged on her mother’s dress and silently pointed out all the girls in the room were wearing dresses and whispered “they are sooooo pretty.” She began to bounce a little bit with excitement, but then immediately went back into her sky shell, using her mother as a means of protection just in case something happened.

Renesmee watched delightedly as her daughter looked around hesitantly for a moment, enthralled with the sights and other people in the room. She remembered back to her first party thrown by Alice, though it had been so many years ago. It had been her birthday, so it was an intimate family affair, but it was still just as lavish and beautiful as this party was. Alice was definitely the most professional party planner Renesmee had ever known or come across. They never had to hire anyone because Alice took care of all the details and did most of the decorating herself to occupy her time. It was almost like a past-time for her, like piano playing was for her father and playing sports was for her uncles.
She noticed that Alicia had locked her eyes on Alice for a moment and she smiled, knowing that Alicia would recognize her a little bit as her godmother. Feeling a little tug on her dress, she looked down at her daughter once again and listened as Alicia declared the other women in the room pretty. "Yes they are sweetheart," she said, kissing the top of her daughter's head softly. "Do you see your godmommy anywhere?" she asked, looking into Alicia's wide, chocolate eyes. "She's very pretty, is not very tall, and has short, dark hair." Renesmee knew that by describing Alice to Alicia, it would help her pick out her godmother a little easier.

More and more people began to show up, however, Jacob hadn't really been paying them any attention because at the moment he was busy watching his "Tinkerbell" scan the room and her wide eyes as they darted back and forth in awe. Now, his wife was trying to get Alicia to find Alice, and immediately Jacob's eyes cut to find Alice himself. She was standing with a new face, vampire from the looks and smell of her, and noticed that there was a slight tension. It was then that Jacob really started to notice everyone and how they were acting. He looked to Bella, and the look she had on her face was a little unsettling; just as he was about to go over and turn her thoughts he saw Edward approach her and thought, 'Ah, she's in good hands now.'.
Then he saw Jasper and things began to click in Jacob's mind. He had heard some of the drama that had been happening, however, he knew no details, and just didn't know how to take the situation. Jasper and Alice had been together for so long he just couldn't imagine them not together anymore. He hoped that they could find a way to be happy again, preferably together, but he knew all too well from past experiences that you just can't make someone love you the way you wanted to be loved. However, you can pick yourself and your pride up from the floor, go on with your life, and wait for the one who was made especially for you. Jacob leaned in and whispered to Nessie, "Hey, babe; I'm going to make a few rounds and say hello to your family, would you like to join me or do you want to wait for Alice?"

Alicia eyes locked back upon the flapper and she smiled. She lifted a figure towards Alice and looked back at her mother to make sure that her selection was right. Alicia eyes began to scan the faces of the guests once more and she began to take in the sights and sounds of the party. Alicia stuck her thumb in her mouth and clung closer to her mother. Alicia still did not feel completely comfortable, but she was slowly growing use to the people and the sights of that night.
Alicia looked at her father and waved, with her thumb still stuck in her tiny mouth. She thought her father looked a little silly as peter pan, and showed this with a slight smile. She looked back up at her mother and waited for a reply to see if her answer was right or not.

Renesmee couldn't help but smile as Alicia scanned the faces in the crowd for Alice once again. She watched her lift her little finger and point exactly to Alice and look back at her for reassurance that she was right. Alicia immediately stuck her thumb in her mouth and leaned into Renesmee's chest. Renesmee knew that this was all a little overwhelming for her little one, but that she would get used to it at her own pace. When Alicia waved to Jacob, Renesmee couldn't help but smile. Her daughter definitely had both of them wrapped around her little pinkie. She was the most precious thing to Renesmee.
When her daughter looked back at her, she nodded and kissed her forehead. "That is your godmommy," she said softly. "And she loves you very much, just like daddy and I do." She knew that once Alicia got closer to Alice, she would remember her. Being at a costume party probably wasn't the best idea for her to pick out people she knew, but Renesmee knew that it would eventually come naturally to her daughter. Hearing Jacob's question, she turned her attention to her husband. "We can come with you," she whispered back. "It might be a little easier for Alicia if we go through family slowly, so she can really get to know everyone. We'll see Alice sometime I'm sure...especially if she has her way." She giggled under her breath a little, knowing that Alice would have her way and come see them at some point during the evening.

Raine had been sulking on the stairs, knowing she would have to ask the family permission to let her cousin know what they were, since he soon enough would start to ask, he was allready wondering. Then Arkan showed up to her big surprise, and she kissed him back when he held her in his arms kissing her. They pulled away from the kiss and remained holding hands. "I know parties arent your thing, im quite surprised you even showed up, i really had expected you to stay at home, but im glad you came." Raine said and looked into her husbonds eyes. She loved him with every part if her being, nothing would ever change that. He was the best thing that had ever happend to her, and he came just in time for her to be able go still have some humanity left. She had been on her way to becoming an empty shell, and becoming a "normal" vampire drinking human blood when she had found him, and he brought her back to the light, and for that she was him forever gratefull. Raine loved to look in his eyes, the golden colour they just had become was delightfull, it was a deeper gold than her own, who were quite bright in the colour, and she could look into his eyes every single minute of the day.

Cade watched as his brother went immediately over to his mate. Cade was not bitter by any means that his brother had found someone, but he was beginning to feel left out. He sighed and turned back to Nathaniel shaking his head slightly and nodding back at Wesley and Jordan. “We hadn’t even been here a week when he met her. Now you can hardly see ‘em apart.” Nathaniel chuckled patiently, “I suppose that is one of the gifts of your kind.” Cade felt himself scrunch his nose at Nathaniel’s comment and he subsequently shook his head, “Depends on how you see it I guess.” Cade glanced around at the party, and wondered in the back of his mind whether or not he would meet someone that would care about him as much as Jordan loved Wesley. Cade looked back to Nathaniel and held out his hand, “Well I have to say it was interesting to meet you. Sorry if I was a pain with all of the questions.” Nathaniel chuckled and smiled good naturedly at Cade.
He shook his head saying, “It is quite alright, once you reach my age it can take a little more then a few questions to ruffle feathers.” Cade grinned and nodded his head, “Probably right, well I suppose I will see you around.” Nathaniel bowed his head, which still threw Cade for a loop as he made his way to the door. He knew that he had not been at the party as long as he had hoped but Cade had a feeling that he had made a new friend. Something that he had not expected, Cade also did not expect to get so much information into the enter workings of a vampire’s life.

Post by Nathaniel Pierce on Nov 8, 2009 16:42:01 GMT -5
Nathaniel was having a pleasant time so far at the Halloween party that Alice had put together. He had spent a majority of the time with Cade and Wesley Jackman; from what Nathaniel had understood were the two newest wolves to the ever growing La Push pack. Nate did his best to commit their scents to memory so that he would know it once they would be in their less recognizable wolf form. He had spent most of the conversation with the twins, in a hush explanation of the diet and life style of a vampire. Wesley had then quickly excused himself from the conversation and made his way towards a woman. Cade turned around and explained that the woman that Wesley had gone to was his mate. It had been explained to Nathaniel how the wolves of La Push found their mates. Nathaniel could feel himself laugh a little, “I suppose that is the gifts of your kind.”
Cade did not seem to be to terribly impressed by that idea. He then seemed to be leaving from the party as he apologized for any offense that may have occurred with his questions. Nathaniel shook his head with a faint smile, “It is quite alright, once you reach my age it can take a little more then a few questions to ruffle feathers.” Cade seemed to find the humor in Nathaniel’s statement commenting that he would see Nate around. Nathaniel bowed his head, “It was good to meet you.” Nathaniel stepped further into the crowed that had now formed in the downstairs of the Cullen Mansion. He looked around and took in a faintly familiar group of scents, and Nate saw Nessie with Jacob, and their daughter Alicia. Nate smiled faintly at the young family and at how much Alicia had grown since he had last seen her as a baby.
He also wondered faintly if the youngest addition had made use of the blanket he had given to her. Nathaniel decided that it would be appropriate to at least great them and re-introduce himself to the young family. Nate patiently made his way towards the three and offered a friendly smile to the three as he bowed his head. “I am glad to see that you are out and about.” Nathaniel tilted his head slightly so that he could see Alicia’s face slightly better adding, “You have grown quite a lot since I have last seen you, little one.”

"Well, was your guess right?" William walked around Vanessa once and made sure to have a frown on his face when he came back to face her. “Well I don’t know you sound like Vanessa, but you seem pretty different from the girl I had dinner with several days ago.” William looked back to Vanessa’s eyes with a smile, “You look beautiful though.” William laughed when Vanessa said that the carriage had turned into a pumpkin a while ago, while mentioning that she had needed to do chores as well. He remembered faintly the conversation they had together on the beach before they had gone to Port Angeles.
William wondered how true the evil stepmother thing was true for Vanessa. She then asked if he had made any spills on his new couch. William smiled probably brighter then he needed to as he added, “Not one beer stain yet.” William then laughed a little reflecting on the day he had spent with Vanessa.

Alicia smiled “Thank you.” she said to Nathaniel before clinging to her mother and sticking her thumb back into her mouth. She still wore a grin as her eyes curiously watched Nate. “Have you saved any princesses?” she said finally gathering up some courage, but still acting shy towards the unfamiliar man that stood in front of her. Alicia looked up at her mother for reassurance. Alicia always watched how her mother reacted towards people to make sure that things were safe, she trusted the judgment of her parents because she was still not old enough to really determine people intentions.
Alicia eyes wandered to Alice who seemed to be talking with some other people, she looked back to Nate and then to her mother as if she was studying the people she was beginning to get familiar with in the room. The party was still pretty overwhelming to her but she felt safe by her mother’s side.

Vanessa turned her head and watched William walk around her. She felt like she was in a beauty pageant and William was the judge. “Well I don’t know you sound like Vanessa, but you seem pretty different from the girl I had dinner with several days ago.” She smiled a little. "well, yeah, turning into a pixie can do that to people." She continued smiling and blushed like crazy when he said she looked beautiful. "Thank you, and you look handsome!" She said, looking at his costume once more. She could have actually most likely mistaken him for a prince. Of course, this would be a ridiculous outfit to wear in public, but he could probably walk right into a palace in Europe and no one would notice. “Not one beer stain yet.” Vanessa clapped her hands a little and smiled. "I'm so proud!

Katelyn had just been hanging out around Lucy and Kaleb when she felt someone's hands cover her eyes and heard a voice she instantly recognized behind her. Turning around, she was delighted to see someone she was not expecting at the party, much less in Forks, Washington. "Savannah Alyse Taylor!" she squealed excitedly, immediately drawing her cousin into a hug. "It's been forever since I've seen you! Why are you here...how...when...tell me everything!" Katelyn could hardly contain her giggles as Savannah was her favorite cousin in the entire world...well, only cousin is more like it, but nonetheless her favorite. She listened intently as Savannah explained that her father had come to a business opportunity nearby and smiled. "I'm glad you're here," she said excitedly. Turning around to Lucy and Kaleb, she smiled and proceeded with introductions. "Lucy, Kaleb this is my cousin Savannah. Savannah, this is one of my best friends Lucy and her boyfriend Kaleb."

Before they could go anywhere to see the rest of the family, Nathaniel approached Renesmee and Alicia. It had been some time since she had last seen the family friend. In fact, it had been when Alicia was no older than a newborn and he had presented her with a blanket that had her name monogrammed on it, which Alicia slept with all the time. She smiled at Nathaniel and nodded her head slightly to greet him as her hands were full with her daughter. "It's so good to see you Nathaniel," she said sweetly, tilting her head to see her daughter's fearful expression after asking him if he had saved any princesses. Renesmee smiled and kissed her daughter's forehead.
"Sweetheart, this is Nathaniel," she quietly cooed to her daughter to calm her and reassure her that nothing was wrong. "He is a good friend of mine and the rest of our family." She knew that once she told her daughter that Nathaniel posed no threat, Alicia would relax and begin to be a little more social. "You remember your favorite blankie, the pink one with your name on it?" She looked up and pointed at Nathaniel and smiled. "Nathaniel gave that to you when you were just a little baby. Do you remember?" Renesmee waited patiently for her little girl to relax a little and hoped she would have the same kind of memory she had when she was a baby so that she would recall who Nathaniel was.

Alicia was glad that this stranger in front of her was not a strange at all. a smile spread across her face once her mother reassured her that Nate was ok and he had given her the blanket she had grown to love over the past few months. “Thank you for the blanket.” She said taking her finger out of her mouth. A huge smile spread across her face as she looked back up at her mother.
The party was beginning to get louder, and as laughter filled the air Alicia was growing more and more accustomed to being there. Things were not so scary once she was exposed to things for long periods of times. Her eyes scanned the room once more, the lights lining along the walls made her excited and full of life, she began to think about how when she got older, she would love to put on parties like these. Her eyes wandered back to Nate and she gave a smile.
