Alice twirled around in front of the mirror, checking her costume for the fiftieth time since putting it on. The dress fit perfectly to her tiny frame, clinging in all the right spots. Her black fishnet stockings and stilettos were a perfect match as well as her headband, complete with black feather. Her pearls hung almost all the way down to her naval, but she knew that was how they were supposed to be. Spinning around one more time, she smiled into the mirror. "Perfect," she murmured. Walking out of her room and down the stairs, she could only think of how ironic it was that she was going to her party as a 1920s flapper when she had actually come from that era. Of course, there would probably be other girls there dressed as flappers if this was a typical Halloween party, but none of those girls would have an authentic dress from that era. Alice had done her homework and tracked down a dress through the ages that once belonged to her biological sister. Of course no one knew it was gone because she had slipped into the storage in the dead of the night, but she had still gotten her treasure. Pulling on her long white gloves, she smiled and looked down from the top of the stairs. Everything was ready. As she came down the stairs, she saw how perfect everything was in preparation for the party. The orange and white twinkle lights were in place on the porch to welcome in the guests as well as pumpkins and other decorative displays. Inside was the dance floor and disco ball as well as black lights creatively distributed throughout the entire lower part of the house. There were tables set up with punch and other refreshmants for the humans that were coming. The DJ was ready to play the tunes and everything was ready. Alice breathed in a tiny, unneccessary breath of excitement as she looked around at her creation. She hadn't thrown a party like this since Edward and Bella's wedding, so she was excited to get this night started. Looking over at the clock on the wall, she smiled. "It's time! It's time!" she chimed to anyone in her family that was in the house. Guests would be arriving soon and she could not wait to get this evening started. Nathaniel had been patrolling with Ryssa the last several days since her return from California. They had still not discovered what had killed that hiker and it had caused Nathaniel to be on edge. He felt that he needed to be patrolling so that the family and their guest could enjoy their party in freedom. Nate did know that it would be good manners for him to at least make some sort of an appearance. He also realized that due to the fact it was a Halloween party he would have to go in some sort of costume, which he found at a costume shop a few days before the party. Nathaniel got into his costume at his hotel room and ran around the town of Forks until he was on the Cullen’s property. He walked to the front door and lowered the silver hood that was suppose to be worn on his head. Nathaniel knocked on the door and after a few seconds let himself into the house wondering if the family would be to preoccupied to come to the door. Nathaniel took in his surroundings with a small smile and took notice especially of the black lights. Nathaniel looked down at his hand to see the odd colors dancing off of his skin and he once again looked up to see who else may have arrived at the party. Cade couldn’t believe what had happened to him in the short time that he and his brother had been in Forks. In fact as it had been explained, his twin was now already permanently attached to a girl named Jordan. Cade did not see that happening to himself but he could not help but wonder what it felt like. He also felt slightly jealous of Jordan, because she was not getting the majority of Wesley’s time. However tonight was all about fun for Cade and he was looking forward to meeting the other wolves in a relaxed setting. There was a part of him as well that wanted to meet the vampires of Forks. He could feel himself smiling in excitement as he followed the last of the directions to the Cullen mansion. Cade parked his car in front of the house a few moments later and grumbled in frustration at the chain hanging from his leg and pulled it off before tossing it into the passenger seat. In his excitement Cade had forgotten his hat and he had to turn around and get it from his car. Cade took the few steps two at a time before reaching the front door of the Cullen mansion. He knocked on the door a couple of times as he slowly opened it figuring that it wouldn’t be a problem otherwise. He looked around at the decorations that seemed to flood his sense at once. As Cade looked to see where the sickly sweet smell was coming from, he noticed a man dressed as a knight. If the descriptions had been right, Cade knew that this man was actually a vampire. He then wondered if it would be such a wise idea to approach the vampire because of the assaulting smell just from the distance that they were at. Cade noticed a table with snacks and drinks and decided to grab something to distract the smell before approaching the vampire. Ryssa did not know why she was bothering in coming to the Halloween party that the Cullen family was throwing. She could have been out patrolling or fighting the next big bad that decided it was stupid enough to come to Forks. Ryssa realized that things would not be so bad if she took off the time to show her face at the party. She then once again remembered that she did not care for crowds and that she was coming to the party only to see the select few that she had decided were friends. “Oh Mr. England better be there.” Ryssa grumbled to herself when she thought that Nathaniel might not actually go. She also considered the fact that Bella would most likely be at the party and Ryssa decided that it would be worth it to catch up with her for a few moments. Ryssa growled at her dress as she once again had to adjust it as she made her way to where the Cullen family resided. She did not bother with knocking on the door and let herself into the home knowing that she knew the family well enough to not bother with knocking. Ryssa closed the door behind her and saw that there were a few others that had gathered, including Nathaniel. She walked over to him and lightly slapped his arm, “Nice to know I don’t have to hunt you down to come to this stupid thing.” Nathaniel flashed a polite smile like he always did and bowed slightly in greeting. Ryssa had a feeling that she could probably come up to him and say anything and Nathaniel would always flash a small smile and bow. She looked around and saw a young man standing at the table of refreshments and one small breath told her it was another wolf from La Push. “The blokes are just coming out of the damn wood work.” Nathaniel chuckled and she looked back to see him slightly shaking his head. Esme had not been as happy as she was in a long time. She had been able to spend more time then ever with her true love, Forks had been peaceful, everyone in the family was home, and things were finally settling down as they should be. She skipped across the room she shared with Carlisle to the mirror so that she could finish putting on her make up. Esme could hear Alice running around excitedly downstairs and announce that it was time. Esme quickly finished her make up and she wondered if Carlisle would come to this party that Alice had worked so hard to put together. She smiled at the mirror and stepped back once turning a quick spin before making her way downstairs. Esme went straight to Alice with a bright smile and pulled her daughter in for a hug, “Everything looks wonderful Alice, you have done a wonderful job.” Esme stepped back and could feel the excitement bouncing around inside of her as she quickly looked and noticed that Nathaniel, and Ryssa were already present. She made a quick mental note to thank them both for all that they had done in recent times for her family. Esme looked back to Alice asking, “You haven’t seen Carlisle by any chance have you?”Esme’s Costume: www.funwarehouse.co.uk/acatalog/889514.jpg

Wesley was excited to go to the Halloween party. He had always enjoyed Halloween and the idea of dressing up and pretending to be someone else even if it was only for a night. Wes was also looking forward to being with Jordan at the Halloween party. Since Wesley had imprinted on Jordan that day at Jacob’s house they had been near inseparable. Not that it had been much trouble for either of them, but Wesley knew that his brother Cade was beginning to feel ignored. That was why Wesley had come to the party a little earlier, so that he could have sometime to spend with his twin. The two had a lot to catch up on and Wesley was excited to see his brother again. As Wesley pulled up to the house where the Cullen family was living he wondered what his brother had come to the party dressed as, and Wes also wondered whether or not his twin was there yet. He reached the door and slid on his devil horns and knocked on the door twice. A few moments later a beautiful but slightly intimidating red head answered the door. She gave Wesley a once over before walking away announcing, “Just another wolf.” Wesley walked into the living room closing the door behind her wondering how she would know. But then he picked up on the sweet scent that had been explained to him was the vampires. He realized that it meant that the woman in the white gown, that was walking from him was a vampire. Wesley mentally sighed and looked around for his brother spotting him by the refreshment table. He quickly made his way across the fairly empty room and smiled at his twin, “Long time no see Cade.” The truth was that it had been only a couple of days, but the way the last couple years had been for them, two days was a long time. Lucy hung up her phone after an unsuccessful call to Katelyn. Neither of her friends were answering their cell phones which was odd to say the least but Lucy settled with leaving them messages. She had just escaped the clutches of her mother who had insisted on taking pictures. As Lucy blinked repeatedly she was glad that she had told Kaleb to just meet her at the party instead of picking her up. Lucy’s mom would have been over the moon to see Kaleb in his cowboy gear standing next to Lucy in her Native American dress. Kaleb in fact did not know what Lucy had made up her mind to go as, she had gotten caught between a Cowgirl, and Native American. Lucy smiled at the memories of the debate as she pulled up to the Cullen house. She looked up at the house with slight aw as she stepped out from her car and noticed that she was not the only car there. Lucy felt better that she would not be the first to arrive at the party and was looking forward to spending time with Kaleb, and her friends. She reached the door a few seconds later and knocked before taking a step back and waiting for someone to answer. Lucy crossed her arms over her stomach as she thought, ‘Forks’ fall weather is definitely here.’ At the sound of a motorcycle Lucy turned her head in curiosity. The rider dismounted and was at the door in a matter of moments as he seemed excited to come to the party as well. Lucy flashed a friendly smile, “Hey.” The stranger smiled in response, “Hey.” He jerked a thumb at the door while still looking at Lucy, “Any luck?” Lucy shook her head in response, and watched as the stranger knocked rapidly on the door. William stood in front of his mirror adjusting the collar of his costume. As he looked himself over in the mirror he wondered silently to himself what on Earth had possessed him to buy the costume in the first place. He sighed to himself and turned off the bathroom light as he headed towards his front door. William grabbed his motorcycle helmet from his dinning room table and his riding jacket from the arm of his new couch. The furniture store had delivered it just a few short days ago and William could not help but smile at the memories it already had. William had, had a surprisingly good time shopping with Vanessa. At least it had been infinitely better then what it would have been like had he gone alone. Vanessa had also seemed to have a good time one the trip and as William walked outside he wondered if he would see her at the party. He stopped at his motorcycle and pulled on his helmet and riding jacket before starting his motorcycle up. William stuck to the speed limit out to the Cullen house, as he was in no extreme rush to get there. As he pulled into the drive way he noticed several cars were already there and William was glad to know he would not be mulling about waiting for something to happen. William parked his motorcycle next to a Ford Focus and quickly made his way to the front door so that he could get inside and out of the cool air. Just as he reached the door William noticed a petite beauty in a Native American dress. She smiled at him, “Hey.” William offered his own , “Hey.” with a friendly smile. After a few seconds of mild impatients William pointed at the door, “Any luck?” The girl shook her head and William knocked on the door hoping that someone would hurry and answer. Raine was finished getting dressed and called to Arkan that she was going to the mansion for the party. She walked over the yard and entered the living room from the porch. Seeing what Alice had done to the place was amazing, she had never seen it like this. She saw Alice and walked over to her, "Alice its amazing what you have done to this place, if I ever decide to get married again, you’re definitely gonna be the wedding planner. " Raine said and smiled to Alice. Taking a look around the place she saw some humans she didn’t know, a red head vampire she was sure about was Ryssa, and the other male vampire who would have to be Nathaniel. The Cullens had been explaining to Raine who they were. She also saw Esme smiling like never before, and decided to walk over to her. "Hi Esme, are you just as excited about this as I am. How is Carlisle, haven’t seen him around for some time, but I’ve smelled him in your room." Raine asked. She was overly joyed that the family was almost back together, and every day Raine felt more and more comfortable being a somewhat part of the Cullens. She walked around to see everything that Alice had did, hoping more people would show up and something would entertain her. Tonight she was gonna have fun and not just sit in a corner as she had did with the Forks birthday party. Raine's Costume

Alice whirrled around the room as the first round of guests began arriving. Seeing everyone's costumes only made her smile as it meant the festivities had begun. Nathaniel and Ryssa came through the door and she nodded in their general direction. She was glad that other vampires were coming this evening so it wouldn't just be her family awkwardly there with a bunch of humans and shapeshifters, not that she minded either. A few short moments later, Esme's arms found their way around Alice to bring her in for a motherly hug. It had been some time since she had spent a few precious moments with the only mother she had ever really known. "Thank you," she quickly said to her mother's compliment of the party. Making her family happy was one of the reasons Alice did all that she did in efforts to make everything perfect. Hearing Esme's question about Carlisle, she shook her head slightly. "I actually have not seen him in a while since he's been working so much at the hospital, but I'll be sure to tell him you're looking for him when I do see him."
A few moments later, Alice spotted Raine coming in her direction. When she complimented all that was going on at the party, Alice smiled and nodded. "Thanks," she said sweetly. "And I'm always in for planning a wedding." Alice thought of the last real wedding she had planned, which was Edward and Bella's just over thirty years ago. It was magnanimously beautiful and went off without a hitch. Now she was itching to plan another one for someone she loved dearly as she did not get to help in the planning of Renesmee and Jacob's wedding while she was away. Turning around, Alice flitted across the room gracefully to await the arrival of more guests and her family.

Post by Bella Cullen on Oct 26, 2009 23:20:57 GMT -5
Bella ran her fingers through the sides of her hair, attempting to fluff out the curls that she had placed in her hair; not that it was an easy process. Being beautiful and collected was something that she was certain belonged to the other women in her family and certainly did not feel like it came natural to Bella. She gave a small sigh as she did a half turn in the mirror. The shoes that came with this outfit had been knee high boots, but immediately disreguarding those she had resorted to her closet to find a pair of black heels that she was sure Alice would have had stocked in her closet. Bella had noticed the costume that Edward had chosen for himself and decided that she should do her best to accomodate her costume towards his. She gave a small sigh, covering herself with her arms as she made her way towards the mansion. Bella moved her hair from her face as she opened the front door to the mansion, hoping to walk in as quietly as possible. She had left a note at the cottage for Edward that she had already left for the party; hoping to see Alice for a bit before it got too packed and her attention was diverted elsewhere. Bella moved along the corners, doing her best to stay out of any sort of attention as she gave a small smile. The decorations were beautiful; Alice was never the one to be outdone and this Halloween party was no exception. Bella looked down at her dress and gave a small sigh before she looked up and spotted Esme. She couldn't help but smile as she saw how beautiful and graceful Esme was; how she always was. She crossed her arms, still keeping them covered over herself as she took a few steps towards her, "Esme you look beautiful," She said with a small smile as she stood a few steps away from her, looking back over at the party and decorations. She bit her bottom lip, looking over everything as she realized that she hadn't spent a whole lot of time talking to Esme with everything that was going on in their family. It amazed her how Esme handled every situation with grace, and more often than not she did her best to image that exact persona. "Esme, .. I never thanked you.. for everything," Bella looked up at Esme, wanting to go into further detail, and at the same time wanting to keep it light for the party. She gave a small smile, hoping Esme would know everything that she was talking about. Bellas Costume

Post by Renesmee Cullen-Black on Oct 26, 2009 23:58:16 GMT -5
Renesmee ran around the house, finishing the last touches on her costume before walking into the nursery to get her daughter ready. Tonight was Alice's Halloween party and she was excited to take Alicia to her first real party. Walking into the nursery, she had to stop and laugh for a moment as Alicia had her costume half-on. She was so excited already. Walking in, she knelt down and helped pull the dress onto her little one before grabbing the white tights and patent leather cream flats that Alice had bought earlier in the week to go with Alicia's costume, putting them both on and standing her daughter back up. "Okay, all we need is your wings and you're ready," she said happily. Alicia ran to the other side of her room and grabbed the set of wings resting against the closet door, brining them over to be put on. Once she put the wings on Alicia, she looked down at her daughter and couldn't help but smile at how adorable she was. Picking her up and placing her on her hip, she walked out into the living room to wait for Jacob. They would go together as a family because their costumes kind of matched. Looking up at the clock in the kitchen, she knew that they would be a few minutes later, but Alice wouldn't mind so long as they came. "Jake...baby, we need to get going so we're not too late," she called back to their bedroom, hoping he was almost ready. He had just come home from running an afternoon patrol, so it took him a while to shower and actually put his costume on. Regardless, Renesmee was excited about the evening, seeing her family, and watching Alicia's eyes light up as they entered the party. Elena had just arrived in forks, she had been meaning to pay her respects to the Cullen’s for some time now, and thought it might be nice to just stop in and say hi. She had over heard several people talking about some huge party that was going on at the house and this just gave Elena an excuse to stop by. She looked in several shops to try to find a costume, and came across one that caught her eye. "Red Riding hood" she said with a smile. " i hope i dont attract too many wolves though." she said making a face as she reflected on that smell that werewolves gave off. she had heard that the La Push wolves were good friends with the Cullen's and hoped that she ould get along with them too. When all was said and done, Elena was on her way to the Cullen’s. Elena had to admit she was a bit nervous about meeting the royal family but at the same time excitement seemed drown out any doubts she had. When Elena arrived at the door she knocked a couple of times. Elena ran her hands across her costume to smooth it out and make sure she looked as perfect as possible. A smile spread across her face, and she collected her thoughts and she waited for someone to answer the door. Elena could already hear some voices coming within the house and wondered if maybe they were too loud and that no one could hear that someone was at the door. Elena wanted to waited a few more minutes before she wanted to decide to let herself in. Elena's Costume: www.buycostumes.com/Red-Riding-Hood-Deluxe-Adult-Costume/12868/ProductDetail.aspx

"Ugh…this stupid little hat is going to be falling off my head all night; oh well, at least I found a costume that didn't require me to wear tights." Jacob wasn't one for dressing up, but he figured that he could humor his wife for one night and go have fun at the party at the Cullen's mansion, undoubtedly that Alice had planned and he knew that it would be a spectacular showing of decorations and food. Just then he heard his wife said "Jake...baby, we need to get going so we're not too late." He sighed heavily and walked out of their room, and put on a bright smile as he saw his two girls, all cute, adorable, and dressed up as Wendy and Tinkerbell…needless to say this Peter Pan was a sucker. He laughed to himself and wrapped an arm around Nessie and said, "Ok, I'm ready, off to never-never land we go…I don't wanna grow up anymore anyways." This comment was meant to be a joke but kind of came out as truth because of his ability to stay young as long as he was still phasing. He then escorted his girls out into the cold night, and headed toward the Cullen mansion. Jake's Costume: www.adultsfancydress.co.uk/ProdImages/CAT08/CS/61515_b.jpg

Renesmee was all but smiles as Jacob walked out of their bedroom in his costume. Jacob was exactly the sort of loving husband that would endur his wife's crazy schemes to dress alike. And she adored him all the more for agreeing to do so to make this Halloween special for Alicia, being that it was her first. And with an excellerated child, there were only so many firsts they could get through without noticing. Alicia had been walking by the time she was a month old and could now talk in full-articulated sentences, but looked like a two-year-old. It was a never-ending process of trying to keep up with their daughter's progress. Renesmee suddenly realized all that her own parents had gone through to understand her and appreciated their efforts even more now that she had Alicia.
As they walked out into the night air, Renesmee couldn't help but giggle at her husband's commentary. He was right though...they never would grow up. Immortally young for the rest of eternity. However, she knew that she would never want to spend eternity with anyone else but Jacob. Carrying Alicia on her hip, she walked with Jacob down the path that would lead them to the Cullen mansion and the party. The night was beautiful and the stars were shining in the sky, as it was usually clear for this time of year. When they neared the mansion, Renesmee could see exactly how much work Alice had put into the party this year. "Well, Alice really outdid herself this time," she said jokingly as they went inside the house. Alicia was enthralled by the decorations and beautiful lights that twinkled all around them. Renesmee couldn't help but enjoy the moment as their daughter took in the sight of her first party, knowing if Alice had her way there would be many more to come in the future.
