Esme was planning on talking with Alice for a bit, but Raine came over in a bright mood. She asked about Carlisle and Esme nodded with a small smile, “I haven’t seen him today, but he has been well.” Esme then had a small flashback to the trip that she had recently gone on with Carlisle. Raine left just after the answer and seemed to take in the decorations that Alice had put up. Esme turned back to Alice as she answered her request of keeping an eye out for Carlisle. Esme smiled to her daughter as she danced away in her usual manner.
A few moments later she was approached by her newest daughter Bella, "Esme you look beautiful," Esme smiled at Bella and pulled her into a hug before taking a step back. “So do you.” She then gave a playful wink at Bella adding, “Oh and I’m sure Edward will love your costume as well.” A second later Bella thanked Esme. Esme frowned slightly as she thought of what Bella could have been talking about. It connected for Esme and she pulled Bella in for another hug, but a slightly longer one.
Esme stepped away and put one hand on either side of Bella’s face and kissing her forehead before stepping back with a genuine smile, “Bella you are one of the best things that has ever happened to this family. And I love what you have done as a part of this family.”

Jasper was unsure if it was a good idea or not to go to the party. It was true that it had been a few months since his return to Forks, but things for him had still been rocky. Jasper was slowing finding his place again, Esme had probably been the quickest to forgive him. She had engulfed him in another hug not long ago and stepped back knowing that he was usually uncomfortable with the personal contact. Jasper had let go of a rare smile and pulled his mother back into a hug, silently thanking her for all that she had done. He had also been able to spend some time with his brother Emmett, which turned out to be harder then he thought it would be as he learned what had kept Emmett away. Jasper was admittedly angry with Emmett at first for stealing the glory of revenge, but in the end he was glad that he had done his best to help. Jasper was also glad for Emmett’s return for Rosalie’s sake, knowing that his twin had been a wreck without her mate. Jasper realized that part of the reason he was going to the party was to be close to what was left of his family, but he knew that it would be interesting to have the Cullens under one roof again. He did not want to admit but part of him was looking forward to the party, if only to see what Alice had done. Jasper knew that if there would be anything to benefit the night it would be to see what had come of Alice’s latest party. As he was settling his hat and saber into place, Jasper could hear several others enter the house. Jasper turned side to side a few times inspecting his costume for the evening as he relived the days in which his outfit had been more then just a Halloween costume. He sighed and walked out of his room and down the stairs to the party. Once Jasper reached the bottom of the stairs he could see that a couple of wolves, and humans had appeared, as well as a pair of vampires that he knew by description only. The man was in a knight uniform Jasper guessed to be Nathaniel was talking to a pair of wolves that Jasper did not recognize. As he looked again he saw a woman with hair that likened her to Victoria, but Jasper realized that she had to be Ryssa. Knowing it would be easiest to stand next to her, Jasper left the steps and stood next to her. Jasper knew he had made the right choice when he could sense that she felt extremely bored. However he felt compelled to say, “I did not stand here to talk.” The woman glanced up at Jasper and snorted while looking back to the slowly growing party, “No worries about that mate.”Jasper’s Costume: static.zoovy.com/img/bonnies/W150-H150-Bddeaf0/vz28.jpg

Jordan was running a little late for the party, she had a lot on her mind still pulling up in the driveway but she promised that she would not let it ruin her night of fun. Jordan was not much for dressing up, but she had gone out in search of a costume anyway. Jordan finally settled on being Dorothy Gale. She had grown up reading the book, and watching the movie. So in a way it was sort of playing tribute to her pre-wolf days. Pulling up the drive way, Jordan looked at the house and smiled. “I finally get to met the Cullen’s” she thought. Jordan was not sure way she was so fascinated in meeting the Cullen’s but it just happened to be that way. Jordan got out of the car, inspected her costume for any last minute changes, and then proceeded to the door. At first Jordan knocked a few time, but just figured that was a useless and stupid thing to do considering no one was likely to hear her. Jordan opened the door and walked in. There were quite a few people in the room, and the mixture of smells let her know that it was a very diverse group. Jordan really was not paying much attention when she happened to run into a woman who was dressed as red riding hood. “Oh sorry, excuse me.” Jordan quickly said. The women wrinkled her nose, took a deep breath and finally smiled. “It’s ok.” It did not take long for Jordan to figure out she was a vampire. Something in the women’s expression told Jordan she did not mean to look too disgusted, it was just how things were. Wolves and Vampires smelt awful to one another. “I’m Jordan Chambers by the way.” Jordan figured it would do her some good to get to know some vampires. The women smiled and finally returned the handshake. “Elena Dayton.” Jordan smiled. “see that was not so painful.” She thought. “ So do you know the Cullen’s?” Jordan asked out of curiosity. “No I don’t actually. Well I do, but to be honest I’m kind of new here.” “I’m the same way.” Jordan said with a laugh. “I feel your pain.” She said jokingly. Jordan did not mean to be rude but thought it was best to end the conversation, the women looked a little preoccupied by her smell, and trying to hold back any other faces of disgust. “Well it was nice meeting you.” Jordan said finally. “You too.” Elena said with a smile. Jordan waved goodbye, and then proceeded to walk towards the drinks, hoping that maybe some else would be willing to strike up a conversation with her. After having a short conversation with a wolf named Jordan, Elena collected her thoughts and tried to ignore the awful smells that seemed to be everywhere. Elena was still a little baffled as to how the Cullen’s carried out a friendship with wolves but at the same time, she was happy that at least the two worlds could at least get along. Elena’s eyes scanned the faces of a few of the guests, she was able to spot several of the Cullen’s and as she did a big smile spread across her face. She was not really ready to introduce herself to them just yet so instead she decided to walk around for a bit and admire the decorations that were spread out in all corners of the house.
Elena knew that she would never have the patience to put a party like this together. Placing her red hood over her head, Elena's eyes lit up with amusement. She felt a lot like red riding hood, being surrounded by all the smells of the La Push wolf pack. She had not expected there to be so many wolves there. Elena was growing slightly hungry and took a mental note that it might be wise to try to go hunting sometime. Elena had lived long enough to know how to control her hunger, so the mixture of human smells did not throw her off one bit. Elena had at one point in her life, when she was a new vampire, had not been able to control her hunger. Even though she was aware she was not normal, Elena did not want to really think of herself as a monster. Her compassion for others never really left her once she changed into who she was today. Which she supposed made it hard sometimes to allow herslef to feed off human blood, she knew it was something she had to do but at the same time she felt a little sorry of the lives she was ending. Elena normally did not think too much into things when she was feeding, this was her trick to making things easier.

Alice was truly enjoying herself for the first time in a while. People were arriving right and left, the music had begun to play, and she could just feel the lightness of the mood in the air. She could detect a few wolf scents beginning to permiate the air, meaning that members of the La Push pack were arriving. One smell in particular caught her attention as it was wrapped with a vampiric smell, that of her darling niece Renesmee and godchild Alicia. Looking up, she watched as Jacob, Renesmee, and Alicia came into the party. Their costumes were adorable as they dressed from the same fairy tale. Alicia looked doubly adorable as a tiny Tinkerbell and Alice couldn't help but smile.
Another scent caught her attention as she was all too familiar with it. Jasper had decided to come to the party. Looking in his direction, she saw him standing near Ryssa. He had a Civil War uniform on that she knew was once similar to the uniform he wore during that very war. Admittedly, he looked quite dashing and Alice felt herself being pulled to him again. However, she stopped herself and reminded her heart why she could not go there. He doesn't want me, she thought bitterly to herself. Turning on her heels, she decided to pull her attention elsewhere. Looking back over at Esme, she saw that Bella had arrived, so she decided to go see her sister. Walking over, she grinned happily. "Hi Bella," she chimed. "I'm so glad you came!"

Cade turned with a smile to see his jokingly long lost brother standing behind him. Cade shook his brother’s hand with a laugh, “Yeah you’re right long time no see. I blame that girl of yours.” Wesley pulled Cade’s head under his arm and started ruffling his hair, he pushed his brother away with another laugh, “Hey man watch the hair.” Wesley chuckled and shook his head grinning. Cade enjoyed the next few minutes talking with his brother and catching up on the last few days. It had been a whirlwind since they had arrived in Forks and they were just now getting to catch up. Cade turned when he heard an unfamiliar voice introduce themselves.
“Hello, my name is Nathaniel.” It was one of the vampires that Cade had noticed when he first let himself into the house. Cade had wanted to go up to the vampire before but he had distracted himself with the food and drinks. “I hope that I was not interrupting something important.” Cade shook his head, “No man you’re fine.” Cade looked around to see that there were a few humans present but supposedly vampires had excellent hearing and he looked back to Nathaniel, “So how old are you? I mean you are one of them right?” Wesley rolled his eyes and muttered something that Cade did not quite catch.

Nathaniel nodded to Ryssa as she said that she was going to go watch the party from the side of the room. Nate knew that she had no desire to be there and he had tried to explain to her once before that the Cullen family was not so demanding that they required the presence of every vampire at the party. Ryssa had just scoffed at his explanation and said that there was more of an unspoken rule then anything else that she stay for at least thirty minutes. He had chuckled slightly at her as she went to stand against the wall near the stairs and away from the other party goers. Nathaniel looked around to see a few familiar faces, he could see Alice, Bella, and Esme standing together, and then Nate noticed a human that he had not seen in months, Lucy. At the site of the old reminder he had to wonder silently whether or not Katelyn would come to the party and thought it would probably be for the best if he did not see her again.
He then turned his attention towards two identical looking young men, a small smell identified them to be wolves. Nate did not recognize them from previous encounters and without giving much thought to the situation he approached them saying, “Hello, my name is Nathaniel.” They were silent for a few moments and Nathaniel had to wonder if they had been introduced to the idea of vampires. He also considered that they could have been having a private conversation, “I hope that I was not interrupting something important.” One of the young men turned towards Nathaniel and was shaking his head saying that he had not interrupted anything.
The young man then proceeded to ask a couple of questions about Nathaniel’s origins. Nathaniel noticed the twin roll his eyes and mutter softly, “Seriously Cade?” Nate looked back to the other young man that had asked the questions, “I will have just turned four hundred and forty this past winter.” Nathaniel chuckled again at the twins’ reaction to his age, the shock was something that he had gotten used to. “So I suppose depending on who you mean by one of them, yes I fit right in.” After that the flood of questions and conversation flood as Nathaniel had expected it too.

Bella took in a breath, giving a hopeful look as Esme mentioned that Edward would love her costume. In all honesty, Bella had amazed even herself that she had worn this to the party tonight; but once she saw Edward's costume she knew she would need to match his. "I'm hoping so," She said quietly before Esme took her into a second hug. Bella closed her eyes, wrapping her arms tightly around her mother for all intensive purposes. Bella reluctantly pulled back as she dropped her hands to her side, quickly moving her hair from her eyes as she looked at Esme. " If I ever give to this family a tenth of what you have, it would be a miracle,"She said quietly, knowing it was true. They each had such intricate roles within the family; but Esme was the rock. She was a calm, collected spirit whom you could go to about anything and know that she would do nothing but love you, even when you couldn't love yourself. She opened her mouth to continue on to say something else, when the melodic voice of her pixie sister rang in her ear. She turned her head towards Alice and smiled, "Well, I'm not sure you would've let me live through missing what seems to be the party of the decade," She smiled brightly before she took a step forward to hug Alice, "It looks great," She said genuinely before she took her spot back by Esme. She looked over Alice's shoulder, noticing Nathaniel's costume. She couldn't help the small chuckle from the irony that his costume held. She tapped her tongue against her teeth, thinking about the last time she had spoken with him. Her eyes moved slightly down the guests until she spotted Jasper. She took in a quick breath as she looked back at Alice, understanding all too well that Alice had come over to her as a diversion. Bella looked back at Jasper, smiling softly at his presence there. There was no denying how handsome he looked and she hoped that she would have a chance to speak with him later in the evening.

Sadie arrived to the Cullen mansion by taxi, she would have taken her bike, but she couldnt ride it with a broken ankle and on crutches. She entered the party and was stunned about the decorations, whoever had done it, had done and amasing job. She looked around but didnt really see anyone she knew, untill she saw Raine standing by the wall. She walked over to her and smiled. "Hii Raine, wow your one hot pirate, wheres Arkans? i thought he would be here with you since you two seem unseperable." Sadie said and watched Raine. She looked happy and had stars in her eyes, or well it looked that way. Sadie took another look around and noticed some people from La Push, but she didnt know any of them. Sadie really needed to go out and meet people more often, she specially needed to get over Cadens sudden dissapearance. Sadies dress

Ronnie was shaking from nervers. She had decided to go for a long vacation after Lexie had told her about her betrayal on the Cullens. Ronnie had told her she wasnt her sister anymore when she could do such a thing and had left Lexie crying behind. She heard Lexie was dead and decided now was a good time talking to the Cullens. She entered the front door of the Cullen mansion and walked into a beautifull decorated house. She looked around and saw Alice, Esme, Bella and Jasper. Without any doubts she walked over to Bella, and tapped a finger on her shoulder. "Hello Bella, can i please talk to you" Ronnie asked, hoping she would be able to explain herself to them. She held her breath, nervous like a wreck, hopefully Lexies betrayal on them didnt make them think she had anything to do with it, but somehow deep in she knew it wouldnt go silent on. They probably thought she was on Lexies side since she had left just before they found out about Lexie, that in their eyes probably looked bad, but all Ronnie had did was leaving for a while to think, and avoid her sister, or ex sister. She was bitter about what Lexie had done and was amased how she could actually do it. Lexie had never done anything at all like this, but sometime the truth about her had to come out. Alice could only help but laugh as her sister lightly joked about not missing the party of the decade. She smirked happily and gazed around at her handywork. Admittedly, it was some of her best work...at least some of the best she had done recently. Getting all of the lights to correctly work had taken the most time, but she was content that they were all twinkling away in the lumnescent lighting of the room, giving it a "spooky" feeling. Even the fog machine set up in the corner of the room, hidden from view, was working perfectly without a hitch. She was all too pleased. "Yes, you would have missed the party of the decade, perhaps even the century..." she giggled back. "Although I'm only ever one to out do myself."
Before she could continue her thoughts any further, she spotted one of the only people in the world she truly never wanted to see again so long as she was immortally living. Veronica strode over to them and asked to speak with Bella. Alice held her breath to keep from drawing in any kind of human scent that might make her angry. She knew that if she lost control, she would regret it later. Veronica was the sister of the woman who ruined everything...and she was not about to have any sort of conversation with her while they were at her party. This evening was about having fun, so Alice quickly excused herself without a word and went on to find others to chat with. Spotting an unfamiliar face, she decided it would be kind for her to go greet her guest. Walking over to the young woman, she smiled politely. "Hi, I'm Alice Cullen," she said sweetly.

Post by John Kaleb Hall on Oct 30, 2009 12:25:25 GMT -5
The air was clear and crisp as Kaleb drove down the strange road toward this mansion that was holding the Halloween party. Occasionally his eyebrows would knit together in thought as he tried to remember if he had actually met anyone with the last name of Cullen. He had heard of them of course, especially the Dr. Cullen up at the local hospital, a remarkable man from what he had heard. However he wouldn't have been able to point him out of a group of 3 people if his life had depended on it. Needless to say Kaleb felt a little bit out of his element as he approached the house in his pick-up truck. As he came around the last bend in the road he saw it, definitely a mansion and definitely decorated. The display of lights was very impressive, someone had obviously outdone themselves. He drove in, and parked among the rest of the vehicles already there. He got out of his truck and as he walked to the front door he noticed that Lucy's car was one of them. 'Poor Lucy is always waiting on me...' he chuckled to himself. He bounded up the steps and then paused suddenly. He didn't know if he should ring the doorbell and wait, or if he should just let himself in. After a a few seconds he just decided that he would let himself in and possibly call less attention to himself as he entered so that he could find Lucy. Who, in fact, had Kaleb curious as to what she came dressed up as. Her two picks had been a Cowgirl or an Indian. He honestly had no clue as to which she had actually picked and he looked forward to seeing his adorable girlfriend all dressed up. On one hand if she dressed as a Cowgirl, they would be matching, because Kaleb found the best clothing he could find that didn't have to cost him any money. He had scrounged around in some of the trunks that his dad kept in his closet that was full of nice Cowboy garb; they were clothes that his father had previously outgrown. He found a pair of 'nicer' cowboy pants and chaps, a maroon-ish shirt, a pair of suspenders, a bandana, and some gloves in the trunk and put that all together with his nicest pair of boots and his nicest cowboy hat. On the other hand, however, if she picked the Indian idea, then, as a pair, they would turn into the classic "Cowboys and Indians" cliché. He stepped inside and was surprised to find more people than he expected considering the number of cars out front. He walked around and scanned the scene, 'Let's see who we have here…Dorothy, a flapper, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell!? Wow, impressive…a general in the army…or two, and a few other outfits...cool, but not who I'm looking for......There she is!' He finally spotted her, his beautiful Native American Princess. Lucy's outfit was absolutely adorable and very flattering on her. Kaleb sauntered up to her with a big, and pointedly crooked smile, tipped his hat and said with his best accentuated Texas southern drawl, "Weeeeeellllll, hoooowdy thur Ma'am! Katelyn glanced at the time and instantly began to panic. Crap!!! I'm late...again, she thought quickly as she put the finishing touches on her costume. She had already spent two hours curling her long blonde hair and pinning it under to make it look shorter, so getting her dress on was going to be a hassle. She shimmied out of her jeans and pulled off her t-shirt before stepping into her dress and hooking the halter part around her neck. Once that was done, she stepped into her heels and pulled on a white foux fur jacket that matched her dress. Looking into the mirror, she added the final touch of some red lipstick before grabbing her purse and darting out the door. Tonight was the biggest Halloween party known to Forks out at the mysterious Cullen household. Admittedly, Katelyn was a little nervous in going because the Cullen family was so weird. They sort of set themselves apart from the rest of the school, but she as well as the rest of the school received an invitation from Alice Cullen, so they knew it was going to be one of the best parties in the world. As she got into her car, she drove the fifteen miles it took to get to the Cullen mansion where she saw one of the most impressive decorating jobs she had ever seen. Alice Cullen was not one to do things half-way. As she walked into the party, she spotted Lucy and Kaleb, who looked like he had just arrived and there was no sight of Kenzie yet, so she didn't feel so bad for being late. Walking over to her friends, she smiled. "Hey guys," she greeted and twirled once. "Like my costume?"Katelyn's Costume: www.marilynmonroecostumewig.com/photos/1MMD1L.jpg

Bella smiled, feeling more comfortable than she had expected now that she was in Esme and Alice's presence. "Now all we need is a few more Cullen men," She smiled sweetly at Esme with a small wink. Bella narrowed her eyebrows at Alice, sensing her body was tensing. She was just about to ask Alice what was wrong when she took in a familiar scent accompanied with a tap on her shoulder. "Hello Bella. Can I please talk to you?" Bella dropped her jaw slightly; seeing Ronnie here tonight was the last thing she expected. Her eyes instantly flew across the room until they landed on Jasper. She felt her jaw clench instantly and was hardly even able to comprehend that Alice had walked away. "Ah.." Bella shook her head, frustrated with this unexpected turn. She had thought long about what she would say to Ronnie had she ever seen her again. Part of her couldn't help but feel like giving Ronnie a chance to at least speak up for herself with what happened. Bella felt that if she didn't grow from what happened with Jasper, turning her back on her family, then there was absolutely no reason for it at all. And if there wasn't a reason for everything that happened, then she wasn't exactly sure that their family would ever come back from this. " Ronnie, I would love to have a chance to speak with you." Bella looked back over in Jasper's direction, turned to see that Alice was talking with another guest and looked back at Ronnie, "I don't feel that this is the appropriate time or place, for such a talk though," Bella gave a half-hearted smile.
The last thing she wanted to do was to kick Ronnie out, but her main concern was that of the Cullen family at the moment. " Please stay though, enjoy yourself. Just.. " Bella cringed, knowing how she would sound as she looked back at Ronnie, "Don't talk to any of the other Cullens. Not tonight. I don't think they would be as receptive as to seeing you as I am being. It'll take time. We'll find a time to talk, just not now," Bella bit the edge of her lip, looking to Esme with a hopeful look. She hoped that she hadn't been too harsh. She felt that giving Ronnie a chance to speak was a good thing; but she also was very persistent that now was not the time or place, especially since Jasper seemed to be trying so hard to reconnect with the family. With that thought her eyes flew back to Jasper, wishing that she could run up and talk to him, though she kept her place next to Esme.

Lucy had been let into the party a few moments after the stranger had knocked on the door. Once they entered the party they went their separate ways and Lucy found herself looking for her friends or her boyfriend. Lucy grinned to herself as she could still feel her stomach flutter when she thought of Kaleb and then she became excited for when he would get to the party. He didn’t know what she would be coming as and Lucy was excited to see Kaleb’s reaction to her Native American dress. Lucy looked around to see that she knew no one yet at the party and then she spied a familiar knight. She watched him for a moment to make sure and realized it was Nathaniel, Lucy was about to go and talk with him until she then saw that he was already talking with two other guys.
Lucy changed her course and went to the refreshment table and poured herself a cup of juice. Music had begun to play a few moments ago but Lucy wanted to give herself a few moments to take in her surroundings, and to wait for her friends. After a few moments of drinking in all of the decorations and the music Lucy spotted her favorite Cowboy in the entire world making his way towards her. She had to mentally fight herself from dropping her jaw as she saw what Kaleb was wearing. However Lucy could not banish the goosebumps running up and down her arms and legs.
‘Oh…my…God.’ That thought ran through her head probably a million times before Kaleb sauntered up to her with his crooked grin. Lucy bit her bottom lip and tried to fight back the already growing smile on her face. Kaleb tipped his hat and in a slightly overdone accent said, "Weeeeeellllll, hoooowdy thur Ma'am!” Lucy laughed a little and smiled as she looked Kaleb over again, “Howdy Cowboy.” Lucy stood on her toes and wrapped her arms around Kaleb’s neck, and kiss him.
