Wesley had only been at the party for a short time, but he was already enjoying himself. True to what the other wolves had explained to him the vampires smelled overly sweet, but Wesley and his brother both were over looking it. They had spent most of the party speaking with a vampire named Nathaniel who was extremely polite and respectful. He had also taken Cade’s questions without becoming apparently offended in anyway. Although the questions about Nathaniel’s diet had made Wesley squirm as he could not imagine drinking blood as an only food source. Wesley had also done the mental math himself to discover that Nathaniel had been alive during William Shakespeare’s time. “If my math is right you lived in the same time as Shakespeare right?” Nathaniel had nodded and explained that he had in fact known Shakespeare personally. Just as Nathaniel had explained some of his history Wesley smelled the most beautiful thing he ever had in his entire life. He looked across the room and saw her, his beauty. “Excuse me guys.”
Some foreign part of Wesley had heard Cade tell Nathaniel something about mates. Wesley immediately cut through the crowd to make his way towards Jordan. Jordan was beautiful and at the moment she was the only other person in the room. Wesley walked up to Jordan with a bright smile and curled his arms around Jordan’s waist.

Esme meant every one of the words that she had just spoken to Bella. Bella had brought so much to their family and Esme knew that her family was better for it. She also loved to see her family happy and she could remember the days of pre-Bella that Edward had, and she could remember the change. A change that Esme had been happy for, despite the problems that had risen. Esme just wished that things could go back to those times when everyone was happy. She wanted the best for her family. Alice returned to speak with Bella and Esme smiled to watch two of her daughters speaking with one another and Esme could not help but look around to see whether or not Rosalie was going to be at the party. Esme knew that Emmett had returned and then thought that they might rather have the time to themselves rather then come to the party.
She smiled to herself as she thought of two of her children were blissfully happy. Esme then saw Jasper standing against the wall and her heart softened when she saw the costume that he had chosen. He looked so dashing and Esme felt her heart swell as she saw that he was trying to become more social then he had been in the past few weeks. Esme then realized that things would be hard for Alice to see her former husband in the room. She glanced to Alice wondering if she would be able to have a good time at the party that she had worked so hard for. It took a few seconds to understand what had caused Alice’s hasty retreat. Esme turned and then turned to see Veronica, the twin of the young woman that had cause all of the family so much pain.
She then understood why Alice retreated to another part of the room, and was currently speaking with an unfamiliar face. Esme wanted to go and check on her to make sure Alice was alright, but she did not want to leave Bella alone. She knew that her daughter could face Veronica alone, but Esme wanted to be the emotional support in case Bella needed it. Esme listened patiently as Bella seemed to do her best in explaining that the party was not the best place to talk. She also knew that Bella had a point about a party not being the most appropriate place to talk.

Ronnie saw the look on Alices face when she quickly retreated to talk to someone else at the party. Ronnie listened to Bella speak and nodded, she knew that the time wasnt right for her to speak. Ronnie held out an envelope to Bella and then turned around to walk away. She walked out to the bathroom and her eyes suddenly started to fill with tears. She didnt think the Cullens would believe her, no matter what she said. She wiped away the tears in her eyes and walked out of the bathroom. She decided to leave the party so none of the other Cullens would notice her. On her way out she had to walk past the stairs, which ment she would have to walk past Jasper. She walked past him, with her eyes on the ground, hoping he wouldnt see that it was her, hopefully the costume wouldnt show off who she was. She got outside and walked to her car, an old rusty thing she had bought in Seattle, once in the car she just sat down for a while, the tears once again ran down her cheeks. She didnt cry over her sister, only over her betrayal. How could she do it to them, they have done nothing but welcoming them to their family. Veronica thought and started the engine. She drove down the path, and out on the road. Speeding up to get to her hotel in Port Angeles
The Letter. Dear Bella and the rest of the Cullens. My sisters betrayal is something ill never forget. I tried to tell you when i found out, but i got scared. I was afraid you might all think i was a part of it, but the truth is i had no idea about what she was doing untill she told me. The last thing i told her was that she wasnt my sister when she could do such thing. I hope you will all accept my wish to meet with you all, and let me tell you all about what ive been doing and why i ran off that sudden. My phone number is in the end of this letter together with the adress of the hotel im staying on in Port Angeles. Veronica Swan.

Jordan felt Wesley’s embrace it did not take her very long to guess whose arms she felt around her waist. When Jordan’s eyes met his, it felt as if time itself stopped and she was growing rather fond of feeling this way each time she saw Wesley. A huge smile spread across Jordan’s face. “What took you so long?” Jordan began to tease, she tried to wear a stern face, but it was soon broken by the pure excitement that she felt each time she looked at Wesley. “You look very handsome.” She added admiring his costume. “In all honestly you could be wear a bag for all you care and still look as amazing as you do now. You sort of make hell more and more appealing.” She said with a laugh.
Jordan had known that Cade was probably beginning to feel ignored with the amounts of time Wesley was spending with her. “How is Cade doing?” Jordan felt slightly sorry for the fact that she was keeping Wesley from his brother, but had a feeling that Cade really had no hard feelings towards her, she knew deep down that Cade was most likely happy for the both of them.

“Alice Cullen, it’s very nice to meet you. I have heard a lot about your family as you can imagine.” Elena smiled at the thought that a Cullen actually had come up to greet her. “I admit I’m kind of baffled as to how you can stand all the smells in this room.” She smiled slightly; Elena could tell she was starting to get hungry, but the mixture of the la push wolves in the room made her slowly lose that impulse. Elena of course was thankful for this. “My name is Elena Dayton, I’m new here. I actually came here to pay my respects to your family. I kind of heard about the party, and decided to drop by.” Elena happened to catch a glance of Jordan, the wolf she had met on her way in. “It seems like most of your guest are getting along rather well.” Elena’s eyes lit up with amusement as she noticed the way Jordan was looking lovingly at young Gentlemen that happened to be just as love struck. Elena looked back at Alice with a smile. “I would say your party is quite the success.” She said with a laugh.
Alice seemed like a rather sweet individual, but at the same Elena could pick up on the hints of sadness hidden behind that smile. Elena was not exactly sure what had been going on, but hoped things would get better. ” I like your costume by the way.” she said trying not to think too deeply into things as she often did, she figured changing the subject would allow her not to wonder about whatever seemed to be on Alice's mind. “The roaring twenties were a very exciting time indeed; I actually have rather fond memories of that time. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.” She said with a wink.

Vanessa sighed, staring at herself in the mirror. She had no clue why she was going to this party. She had never been into Halloween much. It just was not her thing. However, William was hopefully going to be there and Katelyn and Lucy. Maybe thats what had gotten her in this ridiculous outfit. She kind of liked it though. She had just gotten it from the store that day, her procrastination was just that horrible, and she was surprised that there were actually any good costumes left. She sighed once more and headed downstairs, saying a quick goodbye to her mom and out the door. She had no idea why she was so nervous, but she was. Quit worrying Vanessa. Your going to have fun. The only thing she wasn't really excited about was the fact that it was at the Cullen's. Sometimes they kind of scared her, but hey why not give them a chance. Everyone deserves a chance. She thought, driving in her Mustang to the party. She obviously wasn't going to be the only one there, as there were quite a few cars already. She was actually kind of late. She smiled when she saw a familiar motorcycle. William was here. She walked up to the door, that was slightly open and pushed it open a little more peeking in. Taking a deep breath, she walked in. She looked around for a little, walking around the house then spotted William. Smiling, she walked up behind him and covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who!" She said, slightly giggling. Alice was pleased that her guest seemed so thrilled to meet her, although she knew it was only because of the royal family business. However, she knew that would wear off soon enough. She giggled at her comment on the smells of the room being a little undaunting. Alice nodded. "You get used to the other smells after a while, especially if you see them on a daily basis," she said, giving a slight smile. As Elena introduced herself formally, Alice nodded again and could tell that she was a very polite young woman, especially as she complimented Alice's party. One sure way of getting Alice's approval was complimenting her hard work.
Alice smiled as Elena complimented her costume. As she talked about the twenties, Alice couldn't help but smirk. "Oh yes...the twenties were rather good to me," she said in a discreet voice. "In fact, this dress and headband...both authentic. They belonged to my human mother, but had been in storage with my great-great-niece until I tracked them down and brought them back here." Alice thought of her human mother, the one she had never known, for just a moment. Her parents had been the ones to admit her to a psychiatric hospital when she was a child for her premonitions, which ultimately lead to her transformation and the life she now lived. She knew she wouldn't ever trade the love and relationship she had with Esme for any other mother in the world. "So," she continued, pulling herself out of the past as she saw a vision of the future for Elena. "I see you've come to meet new people." Alice knew that her gift was both a blessing and annoyance, but she had come to rely on it.

Elena raised her eyebrow in amazement. “Well yes I have.” She said with a smile. “No real reason other than that to be in forks. I mean I supposed I could have picked some place more exciting to explore, but this is just where I happened to find myself.” Elena pressed her lips together thinking of some of the places she had been over the past years. She often got bored with staying in the same location and often found herself traveling from one place to the next. “It’s nice to get away from the big city life for a while. I have had my far share of huge cities to last years.” Elena laughed as her mind began to drift back to people she had encounter through the years. “Forks is really not that bad once you get used to the smells of the others I suppose. They were right about there being a lot of them here.” she made a slight face as some wolves past her.
“How long did it take you to set up all this, I don’t think I would be able to pull anything like this off.” Elena’s eyes scanned the room that was decorated from ceiling to floor. “Really impressive.” She said again with a smile.

Alice smiled and knew exactly what Elena meant about living in the big city life. She had done that for several years before coming to live with the Cullens after meeting Jasper. The thought of him made her throat tense up, so she dismissed those thoughts quickly and nodded. "Big city life does have a way of draining on you after a while," she agreed. "I'm more of one who enjoys the occasional trip, but loves to live somewhere quiet. It makes throwing parties like this more fun." She giggled a little as she watched Elena's face as a few wolves walked past them. "I promise you get used to their scents the more you're around them," she said. "And for the most part, they're all really nice."
A broad smile passed Alice's lips as Elena complimented her party decorations. "Well, the entire decorating process took me about two whole days, including all night as well...but I really enjoy setting up all of it," she said, knowing how true it was. Anyone in the family could tell Elena that Alice was the number one party planner and organizer in the world. She had done everything from graduations to weddings, Christmas parties, and other organized events just because she could. "I really do appreciate your compliments," she gushed. "Stuff like this is what I love...my family thinks I'm a little nuts for going to the extremes to decorate, but I always say 'Why not?' If you're going to have a party...why not go all out and look fabulous doing so?" Alice giggled, her voice tinkling like tiny bells.

Elena could tell that Alice really did enjoy preparing for parties, and slight laughter escaped her lips as Alice told her about why she often when all out for parties. Alice seemed like a very sweet girl, troubled, but sweet none the less. “You would not mind introducing me to the rest of your family would you?” she said with a smile. “I would love to meet them if you don’t mind.” Elena felt a little embarrassed she was so eager to meet the others, but she still wanted to make it clear to Alice that she was not trying to be rude. “After that we can talk some more.” she said quickly.” I don’t really know a whole lot of people here in forks since im new, so whoever you can introduce me too, I will be pleased to meet.”
Elena was really enjoying herself at the party, and like Alice said was getting used to all the smells that seemed to fill the room. Elena was impressed at the way she was now able to stand the smell of the la push wolves, almost as if she did not even notice it until she really thought about them being there. The smell of the humans was starting to get stronger, and Elena blushed slightly because she was sure that Alice could probably tell she was getting rather hungry. Elena promised herself after the party she would go hunting and tried to stop focusing too much on it. she did not want to leave the party early because of it.

Jay parked his bike outside the Cullen mansion and got off it. He walked inside the open door and looked around for his cousin Raine and found her standing alone. "Hey dear cousin of mine, where is that lovely husbond of yours, did he make you go to a party all alone." Jay said and lowered his head for hit he knew she was gonna aim for him. He poked her playfully and looked around. "Wow, really festive here, i must say, people standing in small groups talking, and you left here all alone. Why do you even go to these parties when you know they wont talk to you." Jay said worred to Raine and lead her outside in the backyard. He sat down on a chair and watched Raine. He was worried about her, he never noticed how pale she was untill he saw her in the night. Her skin allmost lightned up the place, thats how pale she was. He looked behind him at the trees and saw the few lights from Raines house. He sighed and waited for her to talk, he didnt want to walk around worrying about her all the time.

Alice nodded and smiled as Elena politely asked to be introduced to the rest of the family. "Well, there are just a few of us here at the moment, but the rest will be arriving soon," she said, turnging to see if Bella and Esme were still nearby. Fortunately, they were near, so Alice could at least introduce Elena to them. Looking back at Elena, she smiled again. This was the first real friend she had made outside of the Cullen family in quite some time, so she was happy to have found someone who was eager to talk with her and get to know her. Despite the fact that Elena was a traditional vampire, Alice could sense that there was something more there than hatred and spite that some vampires had. It was nice to meet someone with a respect for life, unlike those who were once in the Volturi.
"It looks like my sister Bella and my mother Esme might be able to talk with you," she said. "You'll adore my adoptive mother, she is the sweetest person I've ever known and my sister Bella is simply wonderful." Alice thought of how fortunate she was in having both Bella and Esme in her life. Bella had been her best friend for over thirty years now and she was more than happy to have her as a sister as well. In fact, she had been the very first to really accept Bella and Edward's relationship with open arms. She motioned for Elena to follow her as she walked over to Bella and Esme again. "I have someone who wishes to meet you," she chimed happily.

Edward finally arrived at the halloween party. Of course he was late and Bella was already there, but he could not help that. Edward had been trying to figure out what was going on around the town lately. He had caught the scent of an unknown vampire and did not like it. Edward knew that this would probably mean trouble for them and he wanted to know way a strange vampire was in their town. Edward walked into the party and looked for his wife and the rest of his family. Edward spotted Bella and saw that Ronnie was there with her. Edward quickly moved to Bella's side and put his arms protectively around her. "Bella love, what is going on? I am sorry that I am so late." Edward said to her. Edward knew that if Ronnie was there, Rose was not going to be happy. Edward's Costume

Rosalie had been in her room getting ready for the party. She was always fashionably late to parties. Rosalie put on her dress and shoe's. She checked her hair in the mirror one more time, and smiled at herself. She knew that Emmett was going to have a field day with her costume. Rosalie turned from the mirror and walked out of her room. Rosalie walked down the stair's and looked around the room. She did not see Emmett, but she did see her twin. Rosalie walked over to Jasper and smiled at his costume. "Hey there brother, don't you look dashing in that uniform." Rosalie said smiling at her brother. She knew that it was probably his actual uniform from when he was human in the civil war. Rosalie reached out and put her hand through his arm and looked up at him smiling. She knew that he was not sure about being at the party and she was going to try to make him feel comfortable. Rosalie's Costume

Seth had been back in town for a few week's but had not had time to get to the Cullen's for a visit. Seth knew that the Cullen's would be throwing a party for Halloween as always so he decided to go to the mansion. Seth arrived and walked into the living room through the front door that was open. Seth looked around the room and saw a couple of the wolves already there. He saw Nessie and Jake and waived at them. Seth continued to look around and saw Rosalie and Jasper standing together. Seth then saw the ones that he was looking for and make he way over to them. Seth looked at Edward and Bella and smiled. He punched Edward in the arm and hugged Bella's neck. "It is good to see you both again. I am glad that you are home for London. I have missed you." Seth said to them as he let Bella go. Seth knew that he was home now and things were going to be normal again. Almost everyone had returned to the pack and the Cullen's were all home to. Seth wondered if this meant that things would start to go back to the way that they had been years ago. He had not been in a good battle in years. "So how is everyone?" He said looking around the room for the rest of the Cullen's. It was not normal for them to not be at a party. Seth's Costume
