"Well miss, I think that I vote the same as you, sounds like a wonderful idear to me. Let's go." Lucy grinned not caring how silly she may have looked to anyone watching. She was getting to spend time with her Cowboy and that was the only important thing. Kaleb had agreed with her idea to get away from the party and fuss to spend sometime together; something that Lucy thought they had been sorely lack the last few days. Kaleb took her hand and took her away from the dance floor to the cool air where she could catch her breath.
Lucy laughed when Kaleb asked whose car they should take and he made a comment about being parked far away. She stopped and gave him a quick hug, “Doesn’t matter that you were late, I’m just glad that you came.” Lucy then thought about his question for a minute, “Well if we are going to go enjoy the fresh air maybe we should risk the walk and take your truck. My car doesn’t have much of a back to it.” Lucy realized that could have been taken the wrong way and that it was too late for anything to be said to recover. She then decided to pretend like nothing was wrong and wated to see if it was alright that they take Kaleb’s truck.

A smile split Kaleb's face in two. He did his best to not to laugh at what Lucy had said, and instead, settled on saying something smart-alack. "Well, well, well, just what, exactly, are you planning Mizz Lucy Daniels?" He paused for emphasis and raised his eyebrows, then started laughing. "Luce, don't answer that...I'll give you a grace on that one, so you can stay out of the hole you are beginning to dig. And taking my truck is fine, it's just gonna be a bit of a trek." He grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly and lead her towards his truck which was still a good long ways off.
As they walked he began swinging their hands back and forth...and that's when it hit him. He was going to be actually getting alone time with his still fairly new girlfriend. This would be the first amount of time that they would have together since the day at the beach when he had first asked her to be his girlfriend. He smiled again and thought...'Yeah, let's go star gazing at the beach...'
"Luce...you have any ideas on where we should go? Cause, I mean...I have one, but I wanna do what you wanna do."

Lucy felt her face begin to burn as she could not help but notice the smile on Kaleb’s face. "Well, well, well, just what, exactly, are you planning Mizz Lucy Daniels?” She bit her bottom lip as her face warmed up a few more degrees. “That is so not what I meant Cowboy.” She then heard his laughter and said that she didn’t have to answer that question. Lucy had wrapped an arm around Kaleb’s waist and she tried to lean into him and push him slightly. She knew it was pretty pointless considering she did not have any weight on him whatsoever.
Lucy pulled away from him slightly as he said that it was fine that they take his truck. Kaleb then took possesion of Lucy’s hand and led her towards his truck. She grinned as Kaleb started waving their joined hands back and forth. Kaleb then asked a few moments later if she had any ideas of where to go. Lucy shrugged, “I’d be fine with just about anywhere; let’s just go to your idea.”

"Alrighty then...road trip it is." He gave her a crooked grin and then looked up to see that his truck was just a little farther. He continued leading her gently by the hand, and once they reached his truck, he opened up the passenger side door for her and offered her a seat....
