Lucy was having probably one of the best summers of her life. She had been reunited with her two best friends the previous school year, Lucy had even made new friends, she was getting to spend tons of time with Kaleb, she would be starting her last year of high school soon, and right then she was on her way to a birthday for Forks. Forks had easily become her new home, and her new hometown was throwing a town wide party in celebration of ninety four years of existence. There was going to be dancing, food stands, games, and as far as Lucy was concerned amazing fun. She and her friends had loosely planned to run into one another at the massive block party in the middle of Forks, however Lucy was pretty sure that the trio would end up doing their own things.
Lucy wasn’t worried about that however because she knew that they would have great stories to tell each other the next time they got to hang out. After a few minutes Lucy was in the middle of it all with a bright smile as she took everything in. “This is going to be so much fun.” She skipped and danced her way through the crowd where a BBQ stand was at. Lucy took her plate of food and danced around the groups gathering to sit down at a table under several tents that had been put up.

Vanessa walked towards the town square nervously. This was a big celebration for Forks, and Vanessa didn't know if she would fit in with all the partyers. She had never really liked to party much, and hoped she could fit in and maybe meet new people. She saw one familiar face. Lucy. Vanessa had met Lucy on First Beach, and she seemed like she knew how to have fun. She walked over to were Lucy was and smiled "Hey Lucy."She looked over to her left and saw a stand with french fries and burgers , just what she was craving. She licked her lips unconciously and looked longly over at the food. She was starving she hadn't eaten since dinner last night. AS soon as she was done talking to Lucy, that was were she was definatly heading. Maybe go find a few games to play as well. She thought she might be able to do this tonight, have fun. Maybe just let loose for one night, i mean, whats the big deal. Outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=8356987(Credit to aleks_ for the set)

Lucy had opened her bag of chips and was halfway through them when she heard someone call her name. She looked up from her place to see Vanessa returning the smile, “Hey Vanessa, how’s it going? Haven’t seen you around in a few days.” Lucy noticed Vanessa glance towards a hamburger stand that was not far from where Lucy had gotten her own plate. She grinned at Vanessa before a small laugh escaped when she could easily see how hungry Vanessa seemed to be. Lucy went back to grinning and shook her head with a sigh, “Don’t worry about answering that why don’t you go get some food. I’ll save you a seat.” She propped her feet on the seat in front of her to show Vanessa that she would have a place waiting for her.

Vanessa smiled wide as Lucy seemed to see straight through Vanessa's attempt to hide her hunger. "Thanks Lucy!" She said, walking over to the burger stand. She ordered a hamburger with bacon and lettuce and tomatoes. Her dream burger with a side of crinkle cut French fries. Yum!
She walked back over to were Lucy was seated eating her chips. She sat down and started working on the fries. Answering Lucy's question from earlier she said "Yeah, my mom has me running aronds around Port Angeles and everything. What about you? What have you been up to?" She reached back and pulled her hair up into a messy ponytail and continued eating. She looked around and saw all the people dancing. Apparently, people in Forks like to party. Or, maybe just this time they did, but still. Maybe Forks would be more fun then I thought.

Post by Christian Parker on Aug 6, 2009 0:41:26 GMT -5
Christian had just come to Forks, Washington. He was once again unsure of why he was going out of his way to put himself around other vampires and humans. Christian had been a vampire for well over a century and at every turn he had become increasingly disappointed with his kind, and had become ever more reclusive. As it was he seemed to enjoy putting himself through disappointment as he allowed his gift to lead him to Washington. Christian was standing in the shade of a couple of buildings as he watched the small town interact with one another unaware of how close to death they could all be.
Christian grinned to himself knowing he couldn’t or wouldn’t bring himself to feed from anyone in this small town. Chris smiled as he watched the couples dancing under the canopy of lights that were the only decoration for the dancing area. That was one thing he would not mind finding in his traveling, a mate, as quickly as that thought came to him Christian laughed to himself. ‘Oh like a guy like me would ever get close enough to someone.’ He really saw it as a joke as he pretended to settle against the wall like any other normal human would if they were watching a party.

Katelyn stood in front of her mirror in her room, turning one direction and then another. Her jeans fit just fine as well as her shirt. Tonight was the Forks Anniversary Party and she was going if it absolutely killed her. Her social interraction for the summer had been nil to minimum, so she was going to go and have fun for once, regardless of what her parents said. She knew it was probably going to be one of her last chances before school started to actually have a social life of some kind. Sighing as she looked at her reflection, she grabbed her hoodie and over the shoulder bag. "This is it," she said aloud to pump herself up. "It's now or never Katelyn...so better go now before you change your mind." Stiffening her backbone, she walked downstairs to face the wrath of her parents for asking to have one night out. But, to her surprise, her parents were nowhere in sight downstairs. Instead, there was a note for her on the kitchen table. Kate,
Your father and I have left early to help out with the town party. You may go and have some fun, but be home no later than 1 a.m.
Love, MomFor about five seconds, Katelyn stared at the note and wondered if it were some practical joke that her parents were playing on her. She waited for them to jump out and yell "Got ya" or something to that affect, but they didn't. Before there could be a chance of them jumping out, Katelyn ran out the front door and to her car. She drove to the town square and parked off the the side before getting out. Everything in sight had been decorated in celebration. The food stands lined up the courtyard and the dance floor was covered with a canopy of twinkle lights. Katelyn's smile grew broader as she stepped into the party, enamoured with awe and excitement. Even though she wasn't sure if she would run into Lucy or Kenzie tonight, she was sure that she was going to have fun tonight. Outfit: www.polyvore.com/katelyn_set/set?id=11023087

Vanessa had just started eating her burger, had gotten through about half of it before she was full. She got up to go through her plate away giving Lucy a "hang on be right back" smile and walked over to the trashcan. She looked up from her food and someone leaning against the wall caught her eye. He seemed to be just standing there watching everyone. He must be new. Then again, alot of people were new around Forks including herself. She gave him a quick polite smile and turned to walk towards the soda stand.
She stopped quickly and got herself a large Dr.Pepper that no doubt would be gone in about 2 seconds as soon as she got back to the table. She was kind of addicted to soda, especially Dr.Pepper. She walked back over to Lucy and sat down, continuing to watch all the people dance.

Bella stood in the corner of her room in the cottage, leaning against the wall as she stared out of the window. A small smirk came across her face as she thought about the town fair that was happening in town. Ordinarily something like this is the last thing that Bella would want to attend, but after all of the drama that was occurring around their family, any excuse to get out of the house and have a good time was definitely appealing to her. Island Esme had been on the back of her mind, but until things completely settled, she would have to do with the small town of Forks for a small get away. She went over to her closet, and though she knew Alice would kill her, was feeling a bit nostalgic. She pulled out a flannel shirt and a pair of chuck taylors in the back corner that she hadn’t worn in years. She smiled as she pulled on her outfit and laced up her shoes quickly. She thought for a moment about going to the Cullen mansion to see if Alice was going, but that point was moot. If there was a party, Alice Cullen would be there. Bella walked into the garage to look at the choice of cars and groaned as she narrowed her eyebrows. Bella signed as she decided to run to the party instead of showing up in a car that she was sure was bound to attract attention. She licked her lips subconsciously before she headed off into a sprint. The run towards Forks was becoming easier each time she experienced it. Bella stood outside the lines of the party for a moment as she took in all of the townspeople, giving a soft smile. She looked down for a moment, wishing that Charlie could have attended. She shook her head before she straightened her shoulders, stepping towards the center of the party. Bella’s Outfit

Thirst was a unique thing to Bridget. When a young child, or anyone else for that matter was thirsty, they simply took a drink of water. No one lost their life, and it was an easy solution to solve their problems. However when Bridget felt the sharp lash of thirst against her throat, someone lost a family member. A mother, sister, brother, someone was always lost in order to quench the thirst that lay within her. Bridget shook her head as she stood in the shadows, trying to ignore it. She held her eyes shut tightly, knowing the shade of color they were turning. She hadn’t fed in a few days, and was realizing now that it was a mistake to come to the small town of Forks without doing so. She knew for certain that she would not feed here, not in the home of the Royal Family. She licked the edges of her teeth mindlessly as she moved away from the shadows of the building she was standing against and easily climbed to the branch of a tree. She looked down at the ground, seeing a small animal. For a small moment she considered trying this Cullen diet, if only for this moment, in order to make herself appear less monstrous in this small town. The thought alone disgusted her as she looked back towards the people of the town. A small smirk covered her lips as she let out a small laugh. It amused her the way the townspeople acted, not even realizing that they were herding themselves together, as though they were sheep, which would make her the hungry wolf stalking the boundary lines. She sat still for a moment, wondering when to make her move towards the party, let alone knowing if anyone in the Royal family would show up. Bridget leaned against the tree, letting her brown curls fall over her shoulders as she moved the bangs from falling into her eyes. Bridget’s Outfit

Lucy nodded when Vanessa flashed a quick smile before getting up from the table. Lucy had finished most of her chips and looked to see where Vanessa was exactly going. She saw her going towards one of the drink stands that was set up and watched as Vanessa seemed to watch something. A few moments later Vanessa was back at her seat and watching the dancers out of the floor. Lucy swallowed another bite of her sandwich and grinned at Vanessa. “So ah who was it that you were staring at before? I don’t think that you flashed a smile to the wall.”
Lucy glanced to the dancers and made a mental note to try and find Kaleb or call him and see if he was going to come into town for the party. She smiled as she remembered the day she had gone out to visit Kaleb at his ranch. The time that he had saved Lucy from falling off of the horse and how he had taught her how to dance. To Lucy, Kaleb would probably be a permanent day dream that was one thing after another.

Vanessa smiled shyly at Lucy with the mention of who she was staring at. “So ah who was it that you were staring at before? I don’t think that you flashed a smile to the wall.” She wasn't sure who it was. Very mysterious person. She looked over to Lucy smiling. "I'm not sure. He must be new or something. Or maybe he has been here for awhile and I haven't met him yet. I don't know..." Her train of thought stopped there. She had no clue who it was, and wanted to find out. Maybe later. She gazed out towards the dancers again. Vanessa had never been a good dancer before, her mother had signed her up for lessons when she was 6 but that was when she was in her "tomboy" stage. She wouldn't even let her mother dress her up for recitals. It took about two hours to get her ready. She wished she would've just cooperated now. Vanessa had no clue how to dance and would probably make a fool of herself if she tried.

"I'm not sure. He must be new or something. Or maybe he has been here for awhile and I haven't met him yet. I don't know..." Lucy grinned when Vanessa finished speaking. “Well you never know he may end up joining the party and asking you to dance or something.” Lucy continued to eat her sandwich enjoying the atmosphere of the party. Lucy watched as Vanessa continued to turn and look at the dancing. Lucy sighed and stood up, “Okay come on Vanessa you can finish your drink later. I can’t stand that pitiful look on your face.”
Lucy moved around the table and held a hand out to Vanessa, “Let’s go dance, and wait for hunks to cut in.” She laughed and nodded towards the dancing. “C’mon it’ll be a lot of fun.”[/b] Lucy loved to dance and she couldn’t wait for Kaleb to hopefully show up so she could dance with him. However Vanessa seemed like she needed a bit of a pick me up, and Lucy was more than willing to have fun with her newest friend.

Nathaniel stood in front of the mirror. He had rented a hotel room for the simple fact of needing a place to put his cloths for a short time. Nate had not intended on settling in Forks, but the way that things had been going, he did not consider leaving town. He in fact was looking into the houses on the outskirts of town that were available to purchase. Life in Forks had been so much more then he expected but with everything that had been caused by Will and Crystal; Nathaniel felt more tied to the others. Nathaniel gave himself a final once over smirking at seeing himself in a pair of dark wash jeans, a plain black t-shirt, and the thin nude gloves that were practically noticeable unless you were looking. He had never dressed quite so casually before but he assumed with a party for his new hometown that it would be a light affair.
Nathaniel realized that it was dark enough out that he would have no problems revealing that he was not human. He left his hotel room and ran into Forks where he straightened up before he walked into the town square. Nathaniel looked around and smiled at how simple everything was around him and he was looking forward to enjoying the peace after all of the fighting that had been occurring lately. Among the human scents Nathaniel smelled someone that had become quite familiar. Following it he found himself faced with Bella, and he politely tapped her shoulder. Nathaniel bowed with a polite smile, “Hello Bella, would you honor me with a dance?”

Bella scratched the back of her neck as she watched the townspeople enjoying all of their activites; dancing, carnival-esque games, greasy foods. A bit of her was beginning to become a bit impatient, waiting for the other members of her family to arrive. She felt a bit out of place being the only member of her family present. She narrowed her eyebrows as she saw two different people standing in the shadows, only to watch one climb into a tree branch. She had been so invested in observing the two beings that she was actually surprised when Nathaniel tapped her on the shoulder. She spun around quickly and relaxed as soon as she saw him. She looked back towards the treeline, where she could have swore she saw a woman and then towards the building where she had seen the unfamiliar man before she looked back up at Nathaniel with a comforted smile by his presence. “Nathaniel,” She said cheerfully before she dropped her arms from the position of being crossed around each other, “The honor would be mine,” She groaned mentally as the music changed to some sort of country western song, but did her best to shake it off. Today was about having fun, and Nathaniel had by far proven himself to be a very good friend to her family. She scrunched her nose, knowing that she was never the most talented at dancing, but figuring she couldn’t stop herself from being embarrassed anyways. She loosely placed her hand around his neck and gave a small laughter, “ I apologize to your feet in advance,” She smiled, knowing that no matter what pressure she could put on his feet, the likelihood of it ever hurting him, was minimal to none.

Her eyes had been closed for just a moment, but when she opened them again she could have sworn that she saw Bella staring back at her with a bemused look on her face. Bridget stood still for a moment, tightening her grip on the tree as she watched Bella’s gaze go from her to a building with the same expression. As soon as Bella seemed to be distracted by whatever else she was looking at, Bridget dropped from the tree branch and quickly moved closer towards the party. She took a few steps across some buildings before she stood still. She narrowed her eyebrows as she watched a man walk up to Bella. She knew that this man was not Bella’s husband, which only fascinated her more. It was strange enough for her to see her kind that had been able to keep a mate for so long, but it was incredibly strange for her to be able to see a group of vampires that stayed together for mere attachment purposes, to be able to be friends and not have egos get in the way. Bridget narrowed her eyebrows slightly as she debated going deeper into the party. Though she was never a social person, it was easier for her to be around humans than it was to be around her own kind. Deep down, she knew that it was probably a control issue. The night she had been changed, she had no control or any power. To this day she hated the feeling of being vulnerable, and around those of her kind, she was still capable of feeling that. Though when she was around humans, it was easier to control the situation.
