Jasper closed his eyes and began grinding his teeth together as Rosalie tried to calm him down. Suddenly Jasper realized how amazing his gift was, he no longer had to talk others down, he simply had to make them feel calm. That was what his sister was trying to do now, and an undignified snort was released. It was ridicules to him that Rosalie was the one to be calming him down when almost every time before it was the reverse. “How could something as pathetic as Lexie get away?” He stepped away from Rosalie as she continued to speak and began pacing in a short line in front of her. Jasper looked up at his twin as the two made eye contact and Jasper froze in his pacing. In that instant Jasper would be forever grateful to his twin for seeing his trouble and her ability to pull him back to reality. Jasper nodded to Rosalie, “Rose we have to find them.” Now that he was able to be the calm and collected soldier, Jasper returned to his pacing. Jasper once again stopped and faced Rosalie, “I am going back to the mansion to tell the rest of the family I am back but then I am leaving to find my children and bring them home.” Jasper turned and began to go to the house knowing that she would follow. Right then he could not afford to stop, he was on a mission, and Jasper would get his children back.

Rose watched her brother as he paced and could feel the anger rolling off of his. She did not know how to answer his question. She was just simply there for him. In an instant she watched him go from one extreme to the other and she knew that his mind was made up. "We will find them together." She said in response to him. She knew that she would not let her brother leave on his own this time. She loved Emmett with everything that she was, but Jasper needed her now and she was his twin. She would always stand at his side and be there for him, when he needed her.
When he turned for the mansion, she knew that this was it. She heard him say that he was leaving again after talking to the family and she corrected him. "Correction brother. We will return to the mansion and talk to the family, but then we will leave together to kind her and the kids. We will bring them home together. I will not let you go alone this time brother. From now on, where one twin goes, the other one goes. No more solo missions that might get you imprisoned." She said as they headed for the house.

"We will find them together." As Rosalie spoke Jasper wanted to argue with her. They were his children and it was high time that he took the responsibility for their care. Lexie was not a vampire and that made her unequipped for raising the half vampire children alone. Jasper could not say what had caused his change in the situation but he knew that Florida had something to do with it. As Jasper shook those memories from him he heard Rosalie declare that he could not go to find his children alone. If the situation were different then he would have laughed when Rosalie said there would be no more solo missions that could get people imprisoned.
As they quickly moved back to the mansion Jasper reached over and gave Rosalie’s hand a quick squeeze. He needed his twin and Jasper knew it. More likely then not when they found Lexie, Jasper was going to fight to keep his calm and it would be much easier if Rose was there. He also realized Rosalie’s tone and in this matter it would be pointless to argue with her unless he wanted to risk loosing an arm or something more important. Jasper grinned at that thought and nodded to his twin, “I wouldn’t think of leaving you behind.” He turned back as they reached the house and slammed the door open. Jasper looked around to find Bella was not in the living room but it smelled as if she were close by. “Bella?” called Jasper as he turned back to Rosalie, “Rose we need for as much as the family to come, but the longer we wait the harder it will be to find Lexie and my children.”

Left to her own devices in the mansion, Bella sat down at the piano and played a few notes here and there, subsequently making up a little something of her own. Throughout the last thirty years, she had secretly been learning to play the piano so that she could compose her own song for Edward as he had done for her while she was human. It was going to be a total surprise for him once she was finished. As she played, she thought of how things were going with Jasper and Rosalie. Their sister was a force to be reckoned with all on her own. She knew it was going to take a heck of a lot of convincing on Jasper's part to turn Rosalie back into her favor. A few more strains of a melody came here and there as she sat and thought. Eventually she gave up thinking and just played. No one else was in the house, so she did not care. The notes flowed from her hands and fingertips effortlessly in chords, phrases and melodies. It was beautiful; simple and beautiful. Playing it reminded her of her daughter. It morphed into a sort of lullaby, but more dramatic in a way. As she finished, she stepped away from the piano and smiled. For my baby... she thought ruefully. She went into the kitchen and looked out the window into the trees and thought of the very first time she hunted with Edward after her transformation. It had been an exhilarating experience she would never forget. While her thoughts still dwelt on that, she heard Jasper's voice ring in the house as he called her name. It was only a few moments after Jasper called to her that Bella came into the living room. He could feel concern rippling inside of her while he felt the anxiousness from Rosalie. Jasper realized that they needed to leave as soon as possible, but he wanted the family to know about his return. Jasper thought it would be best if he gave the family a few days of adjustment. For one of the few times Jasper wished that Edward was there to read his mind. Jasper was allowing the others to believe that he had escaped on his own, because Alice had said nothing and he thought she would prefer it that way. If only Edward was home he could see what happened in Florida so that Jasper and Rosalie could go and hunt Lexie down. Bella asked Jasper what was wrong bringing him back into focus and Jasper nodded, “Yes I need to tell the rest of the family to come home now. I have to be leaving again…” Jasper glanced at Rosalie, “I mean we have to leave as soon as possible.” Without need to read the look on Bella’s face Jasper answered her question, “Rose and I are hunting Lexie down to get my children back.” He sighed internally and calmed himself down as he walked back and forth waiting for the Cullen family to appear.

Rose was right beside her twin as they ran back to the house. She was glad that he was home and that he was not arguing about her going with him. Rose knew that Lexie would fight and she was counting on it. When he reached out as squeezed her hand, she squeezed his back. They were closer than ever and she was not going to let her brother go again.
As they reached the house, she was pulling out her phone before Jasper told her that they needed the family. She was already sending the text to the rest of the family. She heard him call for Bella and smiled. She knew that Bella would understand and be happy that they were going to find Lexie.
We need everyone at the house immediately!

She knew that the wording would bring them home fast. Rose wanting to be leaving as must as Jasper did. "Bella, we are going to pick up where I left off in Southern California. I lost her scent in San Francisco. I think that is where we should start again." Rose said to both her twin and Bella.

Edward had just returned to the cottage, from a walk in the woods when he got the text from Rose. He took off at full speed to the mansion. It was not like Rose to send a text like that. He flew through the back door of the mansion only to come to a screaking halt when he saw Jasper standing in front of Bella with Rose behind him. Edward was not sure what to make of the situation. "Someone tell me what the hell is going on here!" Edward said as he slowly walked to Bella's side. Then he was bombarded with thoughts from Jasper and he knew everything that his and Rose was planning. Edward knew that he could not talk them out of going alone, so he was not going to try.
As he walked past Jasper, he simply said to him, "It good to have you home, again Bro." Like Jasper had just been on a long vacation. Edward already knew from his thoughts about the doctors and about Alice's part in the whole thing. He was not going to tell the others that though. It was for Jasper and Alice to tell that. He stood next to Bella and looked at Rose. "It is nice to see you in better spirit's to Rosalie."

Bella nodded as Jasper explained what he was planning on doing. She had a hunch that he would go after his children as soon as he found out what Lexie had done. Jasper had always been the kind of man to take responsibility and he deeply cared for his children; Bella had always known this about her brother. "I think that some of us should stay here," she said, gently folding her hands in front of her. "Just in case something happens or if one of the children shows up here if they ran away. They're both faster than their mother, so we never know if one or both would get away."
Bella watched as Rose sent the text message, with Edward arriving less than a minute later. She was glad to see that he welcomed Jasper home with open arms. It was relief for Bella that over half of the family had accepted Jasper's return without any trouble other than Rosalie's temporary emotional fit of outrage. It wasn't easy for Bella to be in the middle, but she knew that it would be well worth it once their family was brought back together again.

Jasper continued to pace back and forth while Rosalie explained what the general plans were to Bella. He also noticed that Rosalie had done something on her phone which meant that the rest of the family would soon be there. Jasper was giving them limited time to come, and that was not including Alice who he was not expecting to come. Jasper also tried to keep his calm as he thought about what Lexie had done and what she was probably doing to the children. Before he was given much of any time to reflect on what was happening to his two children Edward came flying into the room. Naturally Jasper tensed for a moment, not entirely sure about how his brother would react to his presence. Edward saw Jasper and wanted to know what was going on, and immediately everything from Florida, up until a few seconds ago was at the fore front of Jasper’s mind.
Jasper was grateful of his brother’s gift and that he would not have to ask any more questions. Edward would also be able to explain to the others at his quick departure once he and Rosalie left to find Lexie and the kids. Jasper relaxed internally once Edward seemed to understand what had happened as he made a joke about Rosalie’s temperament. Jasper nodded his head to Edward thinking, ‘Thank you for everything you have done Edward.’ Bella then took a few moments to voice her opinion on the situation, and what she said sent Jasper into overdrive. Jasper calmed himself down while he thought of his children running away from their mother and what could be happening to them if they were lost. Venom began to rise in Jasper at that last thought and he did not care that Edward could hear him think, ‘If anything happens to those children and I will kill Lexie.’ Jasper turned to Rosalie speaking calmer then he actually felt, “Rose we are going to have to leave soon, especially since Bella could be right. Rosie and Eddie may have tried to run away.”

Rose watched as Edward came into the house. She tensed when Jasper did, she knew that she would protect him if the other's did not accept his return. She knew that he was more than likely telling Edward everything with his thoughts. They all had a tendency to talk to Edward mentally. They were so used to his gifts that it was almost second nature. When Edward make the joke about her temperament, she just stuck out her tongue at him.
She heard Bella speak and could fell the tension in Jasper again. When he turned to speak to her, she was already ready to go. She knew that Edward and Bella could tell the others everything. "We should go ahead and leave now. Edward and Bella can fill the others in." She said to Jasper and then looked down as what she was wearing. She dress and heels was not the best for this mission. "On second thought, let me change clothes real quick." She said as she darted up the stairs and into her closet. She grabbed her jeans and a think shirt and tennis shoes. She was changed and back down the stairs in under five seconds. "Now I am ready, lets go." She said hold out her hand for her twin.
They were on a mission to have his children and she was not going to let him down. She would find them and then they would deal with Lexie together. "Edward make sure that Esme does not worry." She said as she headed for the door.

Jasper nodded to Rosalie after Edward had come into the room. He had welcomed Jasper back and Rosalie suggested that they leave right then. Edward knew everything now and with Bella's help he could explain to the rest of the family what was going on. Rosalie said that they needed to leave but she seemed to realize that what she was wearing was not the most durable outfit. Before Jasper nodded for her to go and change out of her dress and heels Rosalie was back down stair wearing a pair of jeans and a durable shirt. Rosalie held out her hand saying that she was ready to go. Jasper was ready to leave in that second and he was glad that his twin had accepted him again. He took his sister's hand as they made their way to the door. In that moment Jasper felt like his family was on its way to being mended, and he vowed to try his damnest to fix what he had broken six months ago. As the twins reached the door Rosalie called for them to tell the others and to not allow Esme to worry. They were passing through the door as Jasper said, "Thank you Rose. I will owe you the rest of my existence for what you are doing for me today."

Edward watched as his brother and sister prepared to leave. He knew that this was not the same as the last time that Jasper left. They were leaving on a mission that all the family wanted to be on. Edward knew that they had to stay behind though. Edward watched as Rose rushed up stairs to change clothes and then was back and on her way out the door with Jasper.
Edward knew that Rose was happy to have her twin back and that nothing could have stopped her from going with him, not even Emmett. He smiled when Rose called back from them to not let Esme worry. "Go we will take care of things here. You two worry about the kids and let us worry about the rest of the family." He called as the left the house.

Rose smiled at her twin as he thanked her. "That's what twins do." She said as she shrugged her shoulders, like it was not a big deal that she was going with him. She ran next to him and head south for California. She knew that a car would probable be faster, but they could not track in a car. She needed her senses to guide them to the object they were seeking. "We will find them, Jasper. We will bring them home and deal with Lexie, our way." Rose said as her ran through the woods.

Bella stood by quietly and watched Jasper and Rose prepare to leave. Once they were out the door, she knew that the rest of the family would be filing in soon and wanting answers for Rose's urgent text message. It was still surreal to know that Jasper was finally home, that their family was beginning to mend, and that everything was completely real, not some weird dream that Bella was stuck in. However, she knew that everyone would be happy to know that he was home now. The only one she worried about was Renesmee. She was the only one who would really hold any sort of resentment. After all, his leaving had almost pushed her into early labor with Alicia. Being a mother herself, Bella understood that.
Turning to Edward, she bit her lip and smiled a little. "I guess this means our family is back together again," she said softly, moving toward him a little. "Although I have no idea how Renesmee is going to react to this...or Alice for that matter. I really wish I knew where she was so I could talk to her." It had been weeks since Bella had really talked to Alice and she truly missed her best friend and sister; even down to every quirky little thing she did. Those were the things that made Alice who she was.

Edward smiled as Bella talked about Renesmee and Alice. "I think that Alice will handle it just fine, seeing as she is the one that helped Jasper excape." Edward said to her. He knew the truth that no one else knew. As for Nessie, well that was a different subject. She was to much like Bella for Edward to predict how she would act. He knew that she would surprise them all. "I am not sure about Nessie though. She can be unpredictable." He said to his wife as he went to sit in the living room and wait on the rest of the family.
