Bella pulled into the parking lot of the mall and put the car into park. The entire trip had been rather tense as Renesmee was adverse to the idea of coming to Seattle to even see Lexie. While Bella could understand, she knew that it would be better in the long run for the family to reconsile. Placing her hand on her daughter's growing belly, she said gently, "I know that you don't like this idea Nessie, but I know that it will be good for all of us to reconsile everything that happened. Think of your baby and how good it will be for it to grow up in a world that is stress free." Bella knew that reminding Nessie of her own baby would win her over. It always did.

Renesmee sat in the car quietly, stewing at the fact that her mother had forced her to come somewhere she really did not want to go. Making up with Lexie would solve nothing; at least that is what she believed in her own mind. When her mother placed her hand on her belly, the baby kicked for a few moments at the touch of someone's hand. Listening to her mother, she knew on some level that she was right. Patching up the family would be better for her own child in the long run. She hated when her mother was right like that. "Fine," she sighed. "But, I know that Lexie is going to flip out about this pregnancy since she has no clue." She sighed deeply and got out of the car, walking inside the mall with her mother where they were supposed to meet with Lexie.

Alexandra had drove to the mall when Rosie woke up from her nap. Jasper was going to spend quality time with Eddie. She'd taken Rosie with her because she would need someone to clutch when she was feeling tense.
When they got to the mall, Alexandra parked and got out, walking around to the back and opening the door to the side where Rosie was. She unbuckled her daughter and picked her up, placing her on her hip. "Okay hon, we're gonna go see cousin Bella and cousin Nessie. Ready?" She shut the door. |

Rosie watched as her mom moved from the driver's seat and unbuckled her. She considered unbuckling herself, but decided against it. She nodded as her mom said visiting Bella and Nessie. She watched the ground as Lexie carried her into the building. "What if they don't like me?" she asked her mother, projecting her voice from her mind into her mom's. Rosie was a bit shy sometimes, and she knew that her birth was a black spot on the family's name. That didn't stop her from loving them any less, but it did make her a little bit nervous. She could feel her heart beating, even a little faster than it normally did.

Alexandra laughed. "They'll love you hon. Remember, cousin Bella is your Godmother." She was still a little uneasy about her daughter's power, but Jasper taught Rosie to control it well and not go beserk with it. She preferred Rosie to speak outloud, but when she got intimidated, that was how she spoke.
She walked with her daughter into the mall. Looking for Bella, she also looked inside the shops. She saw cute outfits for both her and Rosie. I'm gonna have to back there later, she thought.
Eventually, she spotted Bella and Renesmee. She smiled and approached them. "Hi Bella. We're here. Just like I promised." She looked at her daughter. "Can you say "hi" Rosie?" she squeaked toward the end, being playful, smiling. |

Rosie looked at her mom, then to Nessie, then Bella, then back to her mom again. She wasn't sure if Lexie meant say hi out loud, or in their minds. But she did know that her mom preferred that Rosie speak out loud. Rosie swallowed a little, then opened her mouth to speak. "Hi," she said softly. She gave a little wave and smile, not wanting to leave her mom's arms.

Bella walked into the mall with Renesmee to wait for Lexie and Rosie to arrive. When she finally did see Lexie walking up with Rosie, she breathed a sigh of relief that this was going to be alright. Immediately, she noticed that Rosie was a little shy, which was to be expected since she had not seen anyone outside of her mother and father since birth. When the little girl gave a shy greeting, Bella smiled warmly at her goddaughter and waved back, "Hi Rosie." This was not the newborn infant she had delivered just a few months earlier, but that was to be expected. Looking toward Lexie, she smiled and greeted her too. "Hey Lexie."

Renesmee watched in relative silence as Lexie and her daughter approached them from the other side of the mall. She still really didn't know what to say to Lexie and could not find the words to say at the moment. More over, she couldn't ignore the little girl in her arms named Rosie. She looked incredibly like Jasper, which was undeniable. So, she stayed quiet behind her mother until the baby started kicking again, which made her laugh and press her hand to her little bump, which was now visible. She looked as if she were four months pregnant instead of just over two. Although she was looking forward to her baby, she was also very scared of giving birth. However, she knew that her baby's birth was most likely going to be natural as opposed to the violent mess her own birth had been.

Alexandra felt how her daughter clutched onto her. She smiled back at Bella when Bella greeted her. "So, you wanted me here," she said kindly. "And I'm here." She looked at Rosie. "Can cousin Bella hold you, pretty girl?" Alexandra called Rosie by Jasper's nickname for her. She loved her daughter, but she needed to get over the fear of new people. Maybe and she and Jasper were secluding the kids too much. |

Bella looked at the little one in Alexandra's arms; she had grown significantly since the last time she had seen her a few months prior. She looked more and more like her mother each day, but there was some of Jasper in there. Hearing Alexandra encouraging Rosie to let Bella hold her, she held out her arms lovingly and said, "It's ok Rosie, I promise I won't hurt you. I've known you since you were just a baby." Bella understood how afraid the little one felt too. She had only ever been with her mother, father, and brother so it was a little hard to adjust to new people.

Renesmee watched as her mother interacted with Alexandra and the little girl in her arms, offering to hold Alexandra's daughter. The little girl looked scared, which was understandable in Renesmee's mind. While she watched this, the baby kicked again, causing her to laugh out loud and hold her hand against her stomach. The baby's kicks were becoming more and more frequent, which meant that it was getting bigger and stronger. In her mind, she wondered if it was a boy or girl, whether it would take more after her or Jacob, and if it would have pale skin or Jacob's dark complexion. Holding her hand against her stomach, she moved a little to the side of her mother so that she could see Alexandra better. After all this time, she had no idea what to say to her 'friend' after everything that had happened.

Rosie looked from Lexie then to Bella. Knowing it would please her family, she reached her arms out toward Bella, an effective way of saying yes, you can hold me. She was a little nervous, but in all honesty, she knew she shouldn't be. This was her family, through and through. And though she didn't know them that well, she loved them. Family was big and important to her. It was all she had, after all.
Renesmee's sudden laugh caused Rosie to jump a little. She hadn't been expecting it, but it didn't really scare her. She looked at Nessie with a questioning look, but it didn't take her long to realize that she was with child. This pleased Rosie. A new baby to play with, one that wasn't her brother! Provided, of course, their parents allowed this.

Alexandra was pleased when Rosie went to Bella. It was good for Goddaughter and Godmother to bond. That was more than she could say for her own Godmother, whom she didn't really know.
Suddenly, Renesmee giggled out of no where. Alexandra just stared at her. Well that was bizzare. She looked at Renesmee and noticed a bump around her stomach. Oh hell no! she thought when she finally realized what it was. Just breathe Lex. Don't do anything to jeapordize the reconcsiling! She just smiled at Renesmee. "So, you're, uh.....pregnant?" she asked through tight teeth and a forced smile. Why didn't Bella tell me!? |

Bella smiled and took Rosie into her arms. The little girl was around the same size Renesmee had been a few months after her birth. Holding her reminded Bella of having her own child be a baby again. It was something that she kind of missed in a way, but knew that her daughter was a happy married adult with a baby on the way. She then saw Alexandra's face when she saw Renesmee's baby bump and knew that it was utter shock, just as Renesmee predicted. However, she would let Renesmee be the one to explain things.

Renesmee watched as her mother took her cousin into her arms and smiled. Her mom was such the mothering type, which she hoped to be once her own child arrived. Seeing Alexandra's shocked face was enough to tell her that the jig was up and she knew she was pregnant. Then came the ever startling phrase, "So you're uh...pregnant?" By the look on Alexandra's face, there was something she obviously didn't like about Renesmee being pregnant, but she decided to brush it off for the time being. "Yes, I am pregnant," she replied softly, putting her hand to her belly again as the baby kicked gently. "The baby is due in late May or early June."
