Evan noticed that Jasper seemed to pause after his last comment, almost focusing on something, and Evan wondered if he had somehow tripped something in Jasper's memory that he did not intend to. That theory was pretty much confirmed in Evan's mind whenever Dr. Brooks entered the room and asked him to leave, followed by Jasper's own request for him to leave. Evan nodded in reply, turning from Dr. Brooks back to Jasper. He walked forward and shook Jasper's hand as a peace offering and said, "I hope that you find all you are looking for down here Jasper and wish you the best of luck in whatever path you choose for your life." He meant every word in the sincerest manner, speaking from one man to another. In shaking Jasper's hand, he had also confirmed what he thought to begin with...Jasper was feeling confused and angry about what he was remembering. Evan's empath powers were through touch, so he had been given the means to test his theory of Jasper's anger.
When he turned and walked out of the room, he nodded politely at Dr. Brooks before walking completely out of the room, down the hall he had come and into the room where he nodded at Dr. Foster. After nodding politely, he walked out of the complex entirely and began his journey back to Forks, knowing that he needed to talk to the one person who would make Jasper see sense and how he was being treated like a lab rat by the two doctors who were claiming to help him.
