Bella paced back and forth in the mansion, wringing her hands in agony. Telling Alice about Lexie's pregnancy and Jasper's infidelity was the worst thing she had ever gone through, including giving birth to Renesmee. Watching her sister's reaction had been the most emotionally draining thing in the world. Now, she was just trying to figure out what was going to happen. Renesmee and Jacob would be coming home from Italy in a little over a week and she didn't want them to be put through all of this just coming home. Just thinking about that made her anxious. The more she paced, the fewer answers she came up with. It was definitely frustrating.

Again, we are lazy so we will play all three charries on w/e account we are currently logged into..... Jasper sat on a stool beside the couch where Alexandra laid. She was sleeping quite peacefully and that was odd considering Bella's pregnancy had been painful as hell. Jasper didn't bother touching Alexandra. He didn't want to wake her.
Veronica sat on the floor by the couch so she could watch her twin sister every second. She had been clued in on what the family was, and, to say the least, she was not too surprised. No wonder Bella and Edward look like movie stars at age 40 or however old they really were!
Alexandra stirred in her sleep. She woke up, looking right at her sister. She smiled. "Hey sissy."
Veronica smiled, standing up and taking her sister's hand. "Hey lover. How are you feeling?"
"Like I got hit by a watermelon truck," she joked. She winced a little and said, "I think the baby is thirsty."
Jasper stood up and walked into the kitchen grabbing a bag of blood, bringing it into the livingroom and handing the attracted straw to Alexandra. "Here, drink slowly."
Alexandra did as she was told. She moaned with pleasure as she did. She'd done this many times before already and the blood was actually starting to taste normal. |

Bella watched silently as Veronica and Jasper hoovered over Lexie, much like Rosalie had done while she had been pregnant with Renesmee. It was far easier for Lexie than it had been for herself. Renesmee had kicked and moved like crazy, causing all sorts of bruising for Bella and several broken bones. Yet, the baby inside of Lexie seemed to give her no trouble. It had only been a week since the wedding, but Lexie's belly had grown to look as if she were four months pregnant. It was progressing at about the same speed her own had.
Watching them, she knew that if Alice were anywhere nearby, it would have hurt her. It hurt Bella just watching the entire display. No matter if the entire thing had been out of Jasper's hands, she still was angry with him.
Walking over, she helped Lexie to sit up a little bit. "It helps if you sit up a little while drinking it," she murmured softly. "When I was pregnant with Renesmee, it helped a lot to sit up so the baby isn't completely flat."
Looking towards Veronica, she asked, "Could you go into the kitchen and bring me a cool cloth for your sister's forehead?" Lexie's temperature swings were just the same as her own had been; hot and then cold and then hot again.

Alexandra shook her head. "I like laying down." She continued to suck on the bag of blood. The pain in her stomach--what little pain there was--was starting to go away.
Veronica went into the kitchen and grabbed a cloth for Bella, wetted it, and walked back in the livingroom. She handed it to Bella.
Jasper just watched as she drank the blood. It was odd, actually. The baby didn't seem like it was as violent as it should have been. It was.....surprsingly calm! A strange look crossed his face. |

Bella took the cloth from Veronica and laid it across Lexie's forehead. Once that was taken care of, she checked Lexie's stomach, pulling up her shirt lightly. There were no bruises or anything yet, but she knew those would probably come later in the pregnany as the baby grew bigger. Lightly she pressed down on Lexie's belly, which was no longer soft. She was greeted with a very light kick; light in comparison to how Renesmee had kicked.
It was then that Bella noticed Jasper's strange look. Getting up from the couch, she pulled Lexie's shirt back down and walked over to Jasper. "The baby is a lot more mellow than Nessie was, which is a good thing for Lexie." This was all she could muster to say to him.

Jasper shook his head. "I don't think that's the whole story though. I think it's not going to get any wilder." He stood up and walked over to Lexie, touching her stomach lightly. "I think it's inheritied a little bit of my power."

Bella watched as Jasper went over to Lexie and touched her stomach. Her eyebrow raised as he explained that the baby might have inherited his power. "Well...that would make sense." Bella then turned to Veronica and explained, "Jasper has the power to manipulate emotions, basically kind of like a foreward version of empathy. He can calm people down if need be." That was the short explanation of his power, but Bella really didn't feel like going into any detail at all.

Veronica rolled her eyes. "Well that's a shock!"
Alexandra finished with her "meal" and let the bag rest on her chest. She closed her eyes and said, "Jazz I've been thinking. I know about Alice and I don't wanna cause anymore damage, so I'm going to leave with the baby after it's born." She opened her eyes again.
Jasper's eyebrows knitted together. "Why?" |

Bella saw that Lexie was finished, so she removed the bag and went to throw it away in the kitchen. She heard Lexie's comment about leaving before she had left for the kitchen, so when she returned she sat down on the edge of the couch. "You do know that you are going to be dealing with one of the most unique children in the world, don't you?" she paused for a moment. "Half-vampire children do not progress normally through childhood the way you or any other human did. Your child will be full-grown in a matter of seven years after it's born; not to mention that it will have vampiric tendencies as well."
The other part of herself wanted to warn Lexie of the trecherous birth process, but she didn't want to scare her. But at the same time, she knew that Lexie needed to know the risks. So, she decided to ease into that conversation. "Lexie, why do you think I'm a vampire?" she asked gently.

Alexandra said, "I know, I figured that. But I can't let anything else happen because of my dumbass actions." She sighed and then when Bella asked her why she thought she was a vampire, she shrugged. "I really don't know, but I'd imagined Edward and Renesmee had a lot to do with it."
Jasper nodded to himself trying to soak it all in, but Lexie took it as if he were answering her question. "So I'm right?" |

Bella sighed heavily. It had been years since she'd revisited the day Renesmee was born in her mind; at least the horror part of it. "You are correct in your assumption," she began, looking into Lexie's wide chocolate eyes that strangely reminded her of her own as a human. "During my pregnancy, Renesmee broke several of my bones and drained me of all the physical energy I had. That was before we figured out that she needed blood," she paused momentarily to prepare the next part of her story. "When my daughter was born, she literally broke my spine and effectively killed me. Edward and Jacob had to cut her out of me. After she was out, Edward injected venom directly into my heart to save me, which made me into a vampire like the rest of the family."
That had been the PG version of everything that went down that day so many years ago, but Bella did not want to completely freak Lexie out nor have Veronica overreact. After explaining the birth to Lexie, Bella got up from the couch and walked over to Jasper, looking him directly in the eye. "You will not let her leave after that child is born," she said in a voice so low that only Jasper could hear it. "That baby inside of her is your child whether you like it or not. Therefore, you are going to help her raise it."

Edward had going hunting again to think and calm himself. Since the wedding things had gone crazy. Edward was happy that his twin was back, but he was sad for her. Edward had never thought that Jasper would do anything to hurt Alice, but the last few months had proved him wrong. Edward was so mad at Jasper that he was not speaking to him. When Alice left Edward stopped speaking to Jasper, and now with the news of Lexie, well that was pretty much the end of Edward thinking of Jasper as a brother.
Edward finally returned to the mansion and went inside to find Bella. He was sure that she would be there looking out for Lexie. As Edward entered the mansion through the kitchen, he stopped to listen to the thoughts of those in the house. He knew that he would not hear Bella, but he was looking for Alice. He wanted some time alone with his twin so that they could talk to each other. Edward was about to walk into the living room when he caught two minds that he had never heard before. As he listened, he realized that it was the babies. Edward was shocked, there was two of them. He could hear them both.
Edward walked into the living room and over to Bella. "Bella love, can I talk to you outside?" He asked her. After they were outside, he looked at her and in a low calm voice spoke so that only she could hear him. "Bella, Lexie is carrying twins. She will not be able to get as far along as you did, before she is unable to carry them."

After giving Jasper a verbal chewing out, she saw Edward come into the room and immediately he took her outside. When she heard what he had to say, her mouth fell open in shock. "How could that have happened? she asked in an equally low tone of voice, before correcting herself, "I mean I know how that happened, but twins?"
Bella put her hands on her head in absolute frustration. It was bad enough that Jasper had knocked up Lexie in the first place, which devastated Alice because she could not even have a child, but Lexie was going to have two babies. Bella felt her heart breaking for her sister and at the same time, she knew that she would have to be the one to take care of things because no one else in the family would. Once everyone knew that Jasper had cheated on Alice, they would disown him like Edward had already done and Bella had in mind. The only reason she was helping at all was out of compassion. "Edward, Lexie is not going to survive this pregnancy with her humanity intact; especially now that we know it's twins. How do we tell them?" she asked in a whisper.

Edward started off into space as he thought. Edward needed to talk to Emmett about Maden's mother. Edward knew that she had remained human, but he was not sure how totally. "I am not sure about that Bella love. I still am not sure how Maden's mother managed to stay human. I think that we need to talk to Emmett and try to figure this out before it is too late."Edward said to his wife. Edward knew that Bella was taking on alot of family stress right now over Jasper and Lexie, but he could not bring himself to speak to Jasper, yet. Edward had loved Bella as a human and they had not known what would happen after they were married, but Jasper and Emmett both learned from Nessie, what would happen. Edward was torn and really needed his father's advise. "Bella, I think that it is time to tell the rest of the family."

Bella sighed deeply, knowing Edward was right. It was only so long that they could keep this from the rest of the family and they would have to tell them soon or things would escalate completely out of hand. "I agree that we have to tell them, but it's going to be all hell breaking loose in the house," she warned. "If I have trouble controlling my anger toward Jasper, just imagine what Rose is going to do." The thought of Rosalie's reaction made Bella cringe, knowing that the old Rose was going to come out full-fledged again.
For a moment, Bella stopped her pacing and looked Edward in the eyes. She felt as if she could cry if she were still able to. Her entire family was coming apart at the seams and she could do little to prevent anything. She was stuck cleaning up the mess and keeping the peace. "When are we going to tell them and how?" she asked softly, placing her hands in his.
