Noah came into the house after a long night of patrolling. Even though Will was dead, the pack was still on high alert for his mate Crystal. Jacob was worried that she would seek vengence on his new family, especially since Renesmee and their newborn daughter were vulnerable. Noah didn't mind the long nights so much; it was the time he had to spend away from his fiance' and two children of his own that really bothered him. However, he knew he had a duty to fulfill to his alpha, his pack brothers, and his tribe. That was important to him as well as his little family. In truth, he patrolled for their safety as well. He didn't want Tristan and Maddie growing up in a world where they were in constant danger of some psycho vampire who was hell-bent on revenge for her mate's death. That was something he knew he could help prevent through his patrols, so he helped without complaint.
Walking into the house, he made a pit stop in the kitchen and drank some water before slinking into the nursery to say hello to his children. Maddie was still fast asleep in her crib, but Tristan was wide-awake and standing at the railing if his. Even though they were just over six-months-old, the twins looked around a year old thanks to their genetic mutation from two wolf parents. Noah was proud to have two children, but uncertain of their futures and if they would become part of the wolf pack. However, he had decided long ago that he would accept anything that came their way with the kids.
"There's my boy," he said, lifting his son out of the crib and placing him against his chest, mindful of his little head. "You are the early riser, just like your Mama." He chuckled a few times quietly and bounced Tristan up and down a few times while walking around the nursery. He stopped by Maddie's crib and looked down at his sleeping daughter. "But your sister is like your old man; a night owl and late sleeper." Smiling, he sat down in the nearby rocking chair to spend some quality time with his son and watch his daughter sleep. It was rare the the house was so quiet, so he was going to enjoy it.

It's been months since she hadn't been on patrols or phased. And now with Natasha back in town, she wants to spend time with her and catch up on things. Of course, she'll need to take care of the twins while she does but that won't be a problem since they behave. Both Tristan and Maddie love Natasha. Okay so, both of the twins loves everyone they meet except psycho vampires like Will and Crystal. When Noah went to kill Will off, she was worried that something might have happened to him, but thankfully he didn't. Neither did Jacob or Jonathan.
Delilah doesn't know what will happen once the twins grows up and finds out what they really are. It's going to be hard for her and Noah, to explain to them everything and the fact that she doesn't know when they'll phase for the first time, wouldn't be great. Despite the fact that they have everyone in the pack to help them, she isn't sure it would great for the kids. They can be handful from time to time, and isn't sure what they will be like when they're teenagers. She'll deal with them once they're teenagers. Right now, Delilah is protective of her kids, she doesn't really let them out of sight, if she is, she usually keeps someone with them.
It was early in the morning, when she was asleep in her and Noah's room, across from the nursery's room. She was tired and needed sleep since she couldn't sleep that night because of Maddie's constant crying. And knowing Tristan, she knew that he would wake up early like she does. Tristan is mommy's boy and Maddie is daddy's girl. And both of them have little bit of Noah and Delilah's personalities. Delilah got out of bed when her alarm clock went off and smelled and heard Noah in the nursery room. She smiled as she went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and take quick shower. It's kinda like a routine that both Noah and her do. Since Noah comes home from his patrols, he plays with the twins while she does her things. Then she takes care of the twins while Noah's sleeps. Delilah doesn't know when she spent the day with Noah alone and by his night patrols and the twins, it looks like they won't be having their time alone in while.
She got dressed and walked into the nursery as she did her hair in loose bun. Delilah kissed Noah's lips then kissed Tristan's head. "Good morning, hon." She said to Tristan and looked over at Maddie who was asleep. She was happy that Maddie is sleeping and it'll be few hours or minutes before she wakes up crying once again. Sometimes, Delilah wishes that Noah would take care of the twins with her during the night but it'll be hard for the pack since Jacob needs to stay home with his wife and new child. "How was the patrol?" She asked Noah as she got the twins clothes out of the drawer and set them on the table and looked at Noah, smiling. She really missed spending time with her fiance and hopes that they'll have time to sit and talk about things alone.

Noah heard Delilah get up and start getting ready for the day. It was something that always happened in the mornings when he got home from patrol. While he was exhausted from being out all night, he wanted to spend time with his children. Hearing the shower come on, he kissed Tristan's head and whispered, "Your mommy is up." Rocking back and forth a few times, he focused on staying awake long enough to greet his fiancee and to keep his son from getting bored enough to start making noises that would wake his sister. He gurgled a few times before settling on playing with his pacifier, sticking it in his mouth one second and yanking it out the next, repeating the pattern several times. It seemed to keep him occupied enough, which made Noah happy.
A few minutes later, Delilah came into the room with her hair in a loose bun. Noah smiled at the sight of her as she came over and kissed his lips and Tristan's head. He loved seeing her like this in the mornings as she looked completely stunning to him. "Good morning to you too, babe," he greeted as he watched her get the twins clothes out for the day. Noah considered himself to be among the luckiest guys in the world as he had a wonderful woman he loved with all of his heart and two of the most beautiful children in the world. His little family made him happiest. "The patrol was quiet last night. Jon and I made rounds, but didn't pick up a scent or anything," he said, moving Tristan from one side to the other. "Jacob thinks that the leech is circling the area to confuse us before she attacks. He said he's seen it done before with another female." Noah shrugged his shoulders once. He honestly didn't know what to think about the entire situation, but he did know that whoever they were after needed to be destroyed because she threatened their Alpha's wife and child. That was simply unacceptable, not only in the pack's eyes, but Noah's own as a father and future husband himself.

The day is going to be hard for Delilah and Maddie. And Noah, if he can sleep with Maddie's crying during the day. It was horrible for her to see her daughter cry like that and seeing her not cry like that before was out of the question. Delilah felt like something was wrong with Maddie but couldn't figure out what and she wants to take her to the hospital but isn't to sure about it. If it gets worse, then she was no other choice but to take her to the hospital, fast. She can't see her daughter in some kind of trouble, it'll bring out the worse of her and people doesn't want to see that. Even though Noah might or might not have seen it but she isn't sure she wants her kids to see it.
Delilah looked at Maddie as Noah talked. She was missing doing the patrols, it's something that she loves and feeling free but she knows that the kids needs her at the night. So she's stuck in the middle between the patrols and the kids. When it comes to her little family, she's willing to leave anything behind and be with her family. To her, family comes first before anything in the world. Delilah turned around to look at Noah and shook her head. "Please don't say leech in front of the kids. It'll make them say it over and over again when they're toddlers." It was the last thing she wanted from her kids to say leeches as their first word. "Your little girl was up last night crying and Tristan was asleep through it. I don't know how he does it but he does." She chuckled lightly and sat down on the floor for few minutes before going downstairs and making something for Noah and her to eat.

Noah nodded his head a few times as Delilah scolded him for saying "leech" in front of the kids. Truthfully, he didn't want them to say it either. He was just so exhausted from the patrol that he really was not paying attention to the words that were coming out of his mouth, but he made a mental note to keep that in check more often around the kids. He certainly did not want them to have prejudices growing up, especially since the Cullen family were the nicest family he had come across, despite the fact that they were vampires. Jacob was married to a half-vampire that was Edward's daughter, so the pack had no reason to hate them.
Noah's mind switched gears once Delilah mentioned Maddie being up all night crying. Looking at his little girl, he felt his heart tug toward her. She was definitely a daddy's girl and had him wrapped around her pinkie. "Maybe it has something to do with me being gone all the time at night?" he asked, getting up and following Delilah out into the kitchen, still holding Tristan in his arms. "That could be the reason she's so distressed at night when I'm not here." Noah knew that if that were the case, he would try and do something to ease his little girl's suffering. He hated knowing she was distressed like that.

Delilah was downstairs, opening all the blinds and cleaning the living room. She doesn't really like mess in the living room or anywhere in the house. She placed the twins toys in the toy box and turned on the stero on low, listening to whatever it was on the radio. It was early in the morning, so she doesn't really care what she listens to as long as it's something that doesn't make her sleepy. Which is unlikely for her. She went into the kitchen, getting eggs out of the fridge along with butter and milk. Delilah got the a bowl and baking powder and started mixing things together in the bowl.
She heard the question and looked at Noah for a moment and went back to cooking. It was the truth that the twins misses their father in some nights, but it wasn't the case. Maddie has never cried like that before and it was scaring her that something was wrong with her. Delilah beat the eggs til they were stiff and started the stove as she poured mixture into a buttered omelet pan and placed on the stove. As she waited for the mixture to settle, she turned around and look at Noah. "That's not the case. The twins really misses you at night but from her cries, I don't think that was it." Delilah felt like she's going break soon, probably in front of Noah. "I'm scared that something might be wrong with her." She whispered as she looked into Noah's eyes.

The smell of food flared up Noah's nostrils and caused his stomach to rumble. It had been over twelve hours since he last ate anything and he was starving. His stomach twisted and turned on itself in hunger, telling him that it was time to get something to eat. Seeing that Delilah was cooking eggs, he smiled and bounced Tristan in his arms for a few moments to distract himself from just eating the eggs before they were cooked. They smelt appetizing, but Noah kept his mind off of it, which wasn't hard to do with a baby in his arms. His son was keeping him on his toes by reaching for his hair and nose.
The minute Delilah looked into his eyes with concern for their daughter, he knew that Maddie's problem was much more serious than that. "I will be right back baby," he said, kissing her forehead. He disappeared into the living room, placing Tristan in the playpen before pulling his cell phone out of his pocket. He called his mom and waited for her to answer the phone. He talked to her for five minutes before coming back into the kitchen. Hanging up the phone, he slid it back into his pocket. "Mom says it could be colic, which would explain Maddie's prolonged crying," he said, wrapping his arms around her waist. "She said try vacuuming with her to see if that calms her down. If that doesn't work, she said to take her to Dr. Cullen." He kissed her cheek and hoped that it was only colic that was making their little girl uncomfortable.

Knowing Noah would be hungry, she made extra omelettes for him and one for her. She didn't have great appetite on food, but she did ate. Delilah sighed and went back making food as Noah talked on the phone. She was sure that something was wrong with Maddie and isn't sure what to do about it. If she takes her to the hospital then she's certain that they'll do tests on her which she cannot handle. Delilah tried distracting her thoughts on food but it wasn't working. She would be shattered if something happened to Maddie.
Delilah got two plates down and placed one omelet on each plate, leaving two in the pan to keep it warm. As Noah came into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around her, she buried her face in his chest as she wrapped her arms around him and hopes that it was colic. Situations like this, she remembered her mom and wishes that she was alive. She stood there in the middle of the kitchen with Noah forgetting that their food is getting cold. It was nice to have Noah's arms around her, like before the twins were born.

Noah sighed and rested his head on top of Delilah's, thinking about the last time they had just been able to spend time together. Standing in the middle of their kitchen, he just held his fiancee and prayed that they could spend a semi-quiet morning together before he went to sleep and Maddie woke up. Looking down at her, he put his finger under her chin and brought her eyes back to his before kissing her lips softly. "Everything is going to be alright," he promised, moving both of his hands so that they were on either side of her face to gently hold her. "Maddie is strong and stubborn, just like you. And if there is something wrong, we will take her to Dr. Cullen and he will know exactly how to fix it."
For a few more moments, he held Delilah there in their kitchen, hoping that his words would somehow soothe her in some way. Even though they were both new parents, he knew that she was much more of a worrier than he was. Then again, she knew things about the twins that he didn't just because she was with them all the time, whereas he was on patrol. As he held her and looked into her eyes, he knew that he would have to start making some changes if he wanted to be with his family more. "The minute this vampire business is taken care of I promise I'm going to be home more," he vowed. "And then maybe Clair can watch the twins some nights so we can phase and spend some alone time together."

Every word that Noah said calmed her down. She trusted Noah and when he keeps his words, makes her happy. From his voice, she can tell that he was worried too but not like she was. Being the new mother of the twins was just hectic and doesn't know what to do with it anymore. She has people that could take care of them but she wants to take care of them along with Noah. She just couldn't wait for the whole vampire thing to be over with so that she and the twins could spend time together as a family. Delilah could picture both of the twins dressed up to go to beach or something and having great time. She was proud to be a mother and soon-to-be wife. As far as the wedding went, she doesn't want to rush it because of the twins and Noah's patrols and such.
Delilah kissed Noah back and looked at him as he held her. Claire would love to spend the night with the twins, only problem is that she needs her time with EJ and Quil. She'll figure something out til then she's going to stay home and watch the twins. Delilah smiled at Noah and kissed his cheek before she had a chance to eat something. "I love you." Just as those words came out of her lips, she heard Maddie's cry. She looked at Noah and freed herself and went upstairs with Maddie. Delilah picked Maddie up, placing her against her chest. "Mommy's here. What happened? Did you have horrible dream?" She whispered as she calmed Maddie down. Her cries were making her cry but she stayed strong and calmed her down. After five or so minutes she went downstairs with Maddie and walked where Noah was. "Look who's home, Maddie. It's daddy." Delilah smiled and kissed her head as she held her.

Holding Delilah made Noah happy. It reminded him of when his father was still alive and would hold his mom this way. There were times, especially now, that he wished his father was still alive. He would ask him what to do as a father and a fiance. But he knew that he couldn't anymore, so he would have to learn all these things on his own. So far, he was doing alright at it, but he knew that he could be better and wanted to be better for his children and the love of his life. He stood by his vow that he made to Delilah. Once the bloodsucker was taken care of, he intended with everything in his being that he would spend more time with his family.
Hearing his daughter scream, he automatically worried and wanted to tend to her, but Delilah beat him to the punch. So, he waited downstairs while Delilah took care of their daughter. When she returned downstairs with Maddie in her arms, Noah breathed a sigh of relief and immediately went to her. He kissed the top of her head and took her into his arms. "Hey sweet girl," he softly cooed. "I'm sorry Daddy has been gone so long." Cradling his daughter against his chest, he rocked her back and forth and listened to her babble and gurgle at him.

Maddie was kinda a attention seeker out of the twins. She doesn't know which side she takes it from, but it works good on her. As Noah took Maddie in his arm, she watched him and Maddie in awe. Maddie always will be daddy's little girl and will be spoiled. There was something that she needed to talk Noah about and since he's awake and playing with Maddie, she thought she would talk to him before she forgets. Delilah sat down on the chair, looking at Tristan who was playing and giggling.
"Babe, there's something I need to talk to you." She talked as she looked back at Noah and hoping that he would stay little bit longer than any other days and listen to her. It's been bugging her every minute til she doesn't tell him. As she waited for him, she poured Orange juice in her glass and took a sip. She wasn't very coffee person in the morning, she likes to have juice with eggs.

Noah bounced Maddie in his arms for a few minutes, watching her giggle and smile at him. Seeing his daughter smile brought him more joy than he ever imagined possible. A year ago, he would have never thought he would be engaged and have two of the most beautiful children in the world. Nor did he ever expect to find out he was a shape-shifter, but that was different. As he held Maddie, he watched Delilah sit down at the kitchen table and pour herself some orange juice. Taking a seat next to her, he bounced Maddie up and down on his leg while he took a couple bites of his breakfast.
"What do you need to talk about?" he asked, looking up at her. It wasn't like Delilah to bring up stuff out of the blue, especially when it concerned anything important like their family. The last time she said something like this was when they learned they were going to be having a child in the first place. But, he knew that couldn't possibly be it since they had not slept together in a while because of patrolling and the babies. "Is something wrong?"

Delilah watched Maddie as she smiled and giggled when Noah bounced her. It was great to see her smile once again, it made her day; well almost. She doesn't know where to start and how. She never felt like this before, except the time when she had to tell Noah that she was pregnant but that was a different case. And since she and Noah hadn't slept together, of course she wasn't pregnant and wasn't planning on it til the twins are atleast few years old and after marriage. So it's a relief that she isn't. Delilah took another sip and set the glass on the table.
She clamed herself down and looked at Noah. "I'm thinking about starting my own business in either Port Angeles or Forks." Delilah wasn't sure how Noah was going to handle it and she needed his thoughts on it. She really misses her business and designing things and has pretty great idea for things but isn't sure if he'll like it. "Sorry if I scared you like that. Remembering what happened last time when we had the talk." The moment made her smile and sigh at the same time.

A wave of relief washed over Noah as Delilah only wanted to talk to him about opening her own business. He sighed and leaned over to kiss her. "That is great babe," he said, smiling at her. "I think you should definitely start a business in Port Angeles or Forks if that is something you want to do." Noah got up and walked over to the play-pen, putting Maddie next to her brother to play for a little while so that he could finish breakfast with Delilah. Walking back over to the table, he kissed Delilah on the forehead. "Whatever you decide to do, I will support your decision one hundred percent and will be there to do what I can to help."
Sitting back down in his chair, he finished off his omlette and drank some orange juice. It was a quiet morning in their house as the twins were playing in the play-pen. Mornings like this were something Noah enjoyed coming home to most. "I miss this..." he mused. "just spending time with you and the kids."
