Vanessa had always loved to hike. She had hiked with her best friend at her old house, and fell in love with it immediatly. It was just a great way to get away from it all and lose yourself. You can't think about anything but what you are doing when you are hiking, and that is what Vanessa loved about it. Of course, its even better when you have someone to hike with...... She had heard quite a bit (mainly from her mother) that these woods where dangerous, maybe thats why she came. Maybe she was seeking the danger. She had heard there where mysterious wolves in the forests. She had always had an interest in wolves and she had no clue why. But, as she continued to walk through the forest, deeper and deeper she was starting to love the idea of seeing a wolf even more. But the thought also kind of scared her. Big,uncontrollable wolf....

Raine was home to pack some bags and get ready for her and Arkan to tell the family that they got married in Vegas.
Raine was getting restless and so she decided to run around in the forest.
Raine ran by vampire pace when she came across a human smell.
she stopped and started hiking as a human who was used to hiking around here.
She found the person which scent she had smelled.
"Havent anyone told you these forest are dangerous for people to hike in?" Raine said standing a few feets in front of the human girl. Raine leaned against a tree and looked at the human. She was quite pretty and would make a stunning vampire.
A real man eater.
Raine chuckled, she knew she was stunning herself, she was a natural beauty, but it had become more clear and more beautifull when she was turned into a vampire.

Vanessa had been hiking for about half an hour when she heard someone speak to her. She looked up and saw a beautiful girl standing in front of her leaning against a tree. "Yes. I've heard all the spooky stories about the werewolves and the mysterious disappearances." Today Vanessa's personality was totally different. She was more adventurous and daring. This girl, to Vanessa, she might bring the danger she was looking for. It wasn't necessarily that Vanessa wanted to find danger, its just she had only been in Forks one week, and was already bored with her life. But, If it was dangerous for her to be in the woods then surely it was just as dangerous for the girl. "Are you the dangers in the forest?" V asked daringly, grinning at the girl.

Jacob was doing a bit of patrolling looking for Crystal not that he was getting back on his feet after the whole will incident, He wanted to try to get back swing for things because he felt like he was slacking.The time off he with Nessie was wonderful but then Jacob was used patrolling Everyday and phasing everyday also. Carlisle suggested he did not for a few days so when he healed so Jacob did what he was told. Phasing for the first time he was still but as he walked around he was getting more limber. The first thing he smelt was the smell of a familiar vampire so Jacob decided to see who it was. Keeping himself mostly hidden on the shadows he peeked his head out round a tree slight. Jacob could see Raine and a human girl wanting to tell rain about the Alicia so he quickly too off to a safe distance away and phase slipping off on his shorts. "Raine," Jacob said excitedly. " I am sorry for intruding but Nessie had the baby, I just saw you out out her when I was..err out on a walk. Jacob probably looked like hobo or something walking in the woods wearing a torn pair of shorts and nothing else. " Miss may I ask to what your doing wondering these woods alone, You know it is not safe." Jacob fold his arms across his chest cover it a bit but it only made him look bigger and more muscular and he did not want ot scare the giel so he dropped his hands at his sides.

Vanessa was in complete shock at the sight of the guy. He was around 6' feet tall if not more, and extremely muscular. But, come on....why was everyone asking her that same question? It was starting to get on Vanessa's nerves. She could put herself in danger if she wanted to. "I don't know" she said kicking her foot against a rock "I got bored and was hoping...nevermind" Hopefully he couldn't read faces very well. Vanessa could never hide her emotions well at all. And right now, her face was showing her need for danger, her need to make life interesting. Something about the guy made her think that he also had the somewhat dangerous but not dangerous feel about him, like the other girl.

Jacob could tell she seemed a little taken b his stature. " I Just don't want to see anyone to get hurt in the forest as Raine know it is my job to make sure civilians don't get Lost on injured in these woods I am sort of a forest ranger because i was basically raised in the woods here.I just don't want to do and have to take time out of my day spending time with my wife and baby to find a lost girl in the woods. " Jacob stated he was not being rude but no one did know the woods as good as him except Quil maybe but he had his own things to do. " Just watch yourself in these Woods there are many things that can harm you in here. Jacob did not want to have to come into the woods looking for a this girls body. He had heard there were a few more vampires that have been spotted around the mountains and not know if they were veggie vamps are not he was still a little leery about not keeping tabs on them.

Vanessa was confused. Did she look like some breakable porcelain doll or something. She could handle herself fine. She didn't need his warnings and he wouldn't have to come looking for her. She was somewhat take back by the way he said it, somehow (even though s he didn't know him) hurt. "I'll be fine. I can handle myself. I'm not as vulnerable as I look." In fact though, his warning somewhat scared Vanessa as well. Obviously if he thought he was going to have to come look for her then she should go back.....NO! No, she shouldn't let someone she doesn't even know scare her out of doing what she wanted to do. No, she would continue hiking.

Raine smiled to the girl, and laughed when she asked if Raine was the danger in these woods.
"Im only danger to those who look to harm anyone in these woods" Raine said and then she smelled the familiar scent of Jacob approaching.
when he showed up only wearing shorts Raine laughed.
"well you look handsome me today Jacob Black. And im happy to hear about Nessie and the baby, if i im umm.. if i can go to La Push ill come and visit you and see the baby, it all depends on your answer Jake" Raine said and smiled to Jacob.
Raine turned to the girl to give her, her attention.
"If you are to continue in these woods ill follow you, im a sort of ranger here to, if you dont mind it Jake" Raine said and look at him waiting for his answer.
Raine could see the need for danger in the girls eyes and knew this human might be able to cause some trouble around here.
Raine hoped it wouldnt be when she was gone on her honey moon with Arkan.
Raine walked over to Jake and whispered in his ear.
"Tell Nessie me and Arkan already got married, she is my best friend and i want her to know before the rest of the family is told, we ran off to Vegas two days ago" Raine said and smiled to Jake. She had gotten used to his rather special scent of wolf, and somehow it ment safety and friendship to her when ever she smelled a wolf, specially Jacobs scent.

Vanessa was trying not to be rude, the girl really did seem nice, its just she wanted to be away from people. She was tired of everyone thinking she was some delicate little porcelain doll that needed to constantly be protected. At the rate she was going, she was never going to get any alone time away from her house. "Your not going to let me go alone are you?" she asked, her hope for danger sinking. This girl seemed to know where the danger was and was surely going to lead Vanessa away from it. What she didn't get was that if these woods where so dangerous, why were the two of them there? She just didn't get the whole "Ranger" thing. What? Were they like danger repellant? If they were then she had to get away from them....soon.

Raine sighed, this girl didnt get that the danger outhere was something she didnt wanna face.
Raine walked over to the girl and leaned in close to her so Jacob wouldnt hear.
"If you want some exitement ill show you, ever seen a grumpy bear when it just got out of its winter sleep?" Raine asked and smiled to her.
"By the way my name is Raine North, im sorry if we seem over protective, but we have a good reason to do so. These woods has been very dangerous in alot of years now, people dissapear, giant wolfs has been spotted and many other things could be out there" Raine said in a hope that it would make the girl take someone with her next time she got out in the woods. Raine smiled to her, hoping she would understand.
Raine also wanted to get to know this human, she seemed to be interesting and trust worthy.

Vanessa smiled at the mention of wolves. She was right Raine did know where the danger was. Maybe keeping away from it was a good idea. Raine thought it was and she seemed smart. She also seemed nice enough and willing to have fun. Sure, she would hang out with her. That didn't sound like to bad an idea considering she didn't know which way to go to get out of the forest. She smiled at Raine "Okay. Sounds like a good idea." She actually somewhat understood their protectivness but didn't understand why they cared about her. They didn't know her. But, hopefully Raine and her could actually become friends.
She actually hadn't noticed before how pretty Raine was. She had a sort of glow to her face. Her eyes were a golden color, and she was skinny. She did not seem like the outdoor type.

Jacob smiled at Raine. " Why that you Raine, Nessie and I actually moved we live need the borderline. Her father built us a house for a wedding gift it was not done till just about the time Alicia was born and you know your allowed go to La Push anytime you want As long as you don't cause trouble Jon is the only one you have to watch out for. I caot stop you from wondering the woods rain." Jacob stated before he stopped speaking again because Raine was whispering in his ear. he was surprised. " that is a shocker Raine I did not expect you to do something like that I thought you wanted a big wedding but when I go home I will tell her. there is also a bunch of stuff that has gone down the past little bit I need to tell you about."Jacob leaned in towards Raine and whispered "Will is dead.. keep an eye out for Crystal"

Raine nodded to Jake to say she would look for Crystal.
"thumbs up on the Will case, one less to deal with" Raine said and got back to the girl.
"I dont think i ever got your name miss?" Raine asked politely and grabbed her arm gently.
She waved goodbye and took the girl with her to visit some fun grumpy bears.
Raine loved to irritate the hell out of them this time a year.
"Dont tell anyone i took you where im taking you now, i dont want kids or any one else teasing the bears, and dont go out here alone again, give me a call and ill go with you and we will find some fun to do" Raine said and kept walking still holding the girls arm in a friendly way.
This might turn out to be a great friend ship.

Vanessa smiled "Yeah sure. I won't tell anyone. My name is Vanessa Camden by the way." Vanessa was sort of shocked she had actually had the guts to talk to Raine in the first place, she wasn't usually that outgoing. But, now she was glad she had talked to her, Raine seemed nice enough. It would certainly be more fun to have someone to talk to then to just be walking alone.
Vanessa had a strange feeling though, like there was something about Raine, some secret that she didn't know. She felt the same way about the tall guy too. They just seemed different. Maybe thats what she was looking for all along, not danger but someone different to talk to. And Raine was different. She liked the difference. She loved it when she met someone like her, Raine wasn't anything like her, but was different. That was the key.

Raine smiled and kept walking.
"Allright, Vanessa it is. So, when did you move to Forks?" Raine asked.
Raine followed at small trail in the woods and walked through some tall vegetation.
Raine put her finger over her lips, to show Vanessa to be quiet.
She bent down and walked like that a few feets.
She hold up a branch from the bush in front of her and pointed.
There was a big male black bear, still grumpy from the long winter sleep and probably hungry too.
"Isnt he beautifull? i guess he is around 3 years or less, you can see he hasnt got used to the winter sleep fully yet." Raine said and smiled to Vanessa.
Raine loved to visit the bears, they were so pretty and majestic, that it sometimes made Raine feel tiny.
And thats usually when she would take one down and drain its blood.
