Katelyn laughed at Vanessa's description of Gym and the doctor's excuses. "I try and make up some excuse every day so I don't have to play anything," she replied. "My physical exercise is dance and dance only." She heard Kenzie jabber on about the boys for a moment before chiming in. "Yeah, Lucy has a boy toy in the new guy," she said before turning to Kenzie to answer her question. "I have no clue where that girl went off to. She darted from English without me so she could avoid the whole freak out session when you saw me and I haven't seen her since. But my intuition tells me that she's somewhere outside." Katelyn laughed and turned back to Vanessa. "Lucy is not one for big social situations...they make her feel kinda awkward."

Vanessa was confused by Kenzie's La Push statement. "La Push? Where is that?" She also adored the idea of a Texan. She had went to Texas once and fell in love with the 'southern gentalman' personality. She also loved that she adleast had two friends who hated gym as much as she did. "So, this Texas boy, he in any of our classes?" Her flirtatious side was definatly starting to get the best of her. She just couldn't resist a southern boy. She'd have to meet him. She looked at the time on her cell and noticed that lunch was almost over, which made her happy but sad at the same time. Happy because she had the next class with Kate so it wouldnt be too terrible, but sad because she had gym and Advanced History soon.

Lucy bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself from smiling when Kaleb sat down on the bench facing her. ‘Don’t forget to breathe Luce; breathing is a very good idea.’ Lucy thought to herself as she debated how to sit on the bench. After a second’s pause, she turned slightly so that she could face Kaleb to talk with him. Lucy curled one of her legs under her and settled back onto the bench and that was when she realized that Kaleb had a mouth full of food. She bit the inside of her cheek again to keep from laughing at the less then perfect timing; unfortunately a small giggle escaped and Lucy did her best to bite it back.
Kaleb then apologized for taking a big bite from his sandwich and answered her question. It made a quite a lot of sense actually; Lucy could easily see Kaleb as the outdoors type. In actuality it would be clear to anyone that caught site of the blue eyed cowboy. Kaleb seemed to laugh at what he had just told Lucy and took a much smaller bite of his sandwich then he had a few moments ago. As hard as she tried Lucy could not remove the grin from her face. Lucy tried her best to cover it up by taking a drink from her juice by the time she tightened the lid on the small bottle she heard Kaleb ask, “So, what about you Missy? You sure scooted out of class in a hurry…and why aren’t you in there with the rest of the reunion?”
‘SHIT!’ Lucy mentally screamed at herself as she added on in her head, ‘Well Mr. Cowboy I left in a rush because my friends were going to give me twenty degrees about acting like an idiot around you. I didn’t want to be succumbed to that sort of torture.’ Seeing how she could never say that to Kaleb other then in her head Lucy allowed her grin to grow slightly at the thought of being called Missy and how Kaleb spoke. ‘Beautiful accent, and yet another thing I could never say allowed.’
Taking an internal sigh to prep herself Lucy spoke, “Well I sorta had my reunion with Kate earlier in the hall and I figured Kenzie would want to have a turn herself.” Lucy giggled slightly at what she was going to face when Kenzie and Kate cornered her, “Kate will probably be a little miffed that I left her high and dry, but I figured she’d like the time alone.” It wasn’t exactly true but it was a nice enough reason and most importantly it was believable.

'Oh man. There it is again. I don't know how much of this I can take.' Kaleb thought just as Lucy giggled again. She had been wearing this amazing smile all day an Kaleb couldn't help but stare. He also liked to look at her eyes, an amazing chocolate brown color that held such life. 'Aww, who am I kidding? I don't mind this one bit! Kaleb chuckled to himself.
"Mmmm Hmmm, well, she mentioned something along those lines as you darted out the door earlier. But it seemed as if you were reading my mind. 'Gotta get outta here, gotta get outta here...' Well, that's not entirely true, I think I'm gonna enjoy our class before lunch. I know I enjoyed our first day, and especially today's little episode..." Before he knew it a laugh escaped and he couldn't help but grin from ear to ear thinking about her falling out of her chair. Hoping that she realized what he was talking about he let his sentence fall short and shot her a "you know" look as he opened his drink.

Kenzie raised her eyebrow at Vanessa and replied, "La Push is about fifteen miles outside of Forks. It's where the Quileute tribe resides on their lands. My boyfriend Jon is half-Quileute on his father's side." The thought of Jon made Kenzie smile. Since they had gotten back together, things had only been better and better. Her heart had opened so much since their reunion and Kenzie knew for certain that there was no one else in the world she wanted to be with more than him. Vanessa's voice snapped her out of those thoughts when she asked about Kaleb again. What is her sudden fascination with him? she thought to herself. "I'm not sure if he's in any of your classes, but you'll just have to wait and see." Kenzie gave Katelyn a look that only she would understand as the 'We'll talk about this later' look before finishing off her lunch before the bell rang for their next class to start.

Lucy sighed inside of her head as she realized that Kaleb seemed to watch her for a few moments. It was good that she was in a bright mood otherwise she would feel extremely self conscious. Kaleb then mentioned how Kate had said she had rushed out of class. He also commented on her ‘gotta make a run for it’ attitude’ and Lucy made a face inside her head that she had not been so subtle. Lucy tuned in again when Kaleb talked about enjoying class which made her grin grow slightly as she added her own mental, ‘Oh I think I am going to have a good time too.’ She frowned for a moment when Kaleb mentioned a little episode. Lucy then became side tracked as Kaleb laughed.
‘Focus Luce don’t look like an idiot.’ It was then that she saw his face that plainly said “you know”. Immediately realizing that Kaleb was referring to her little spill earlier Lucy slapped both of her hands over her face, “Oh gosh!” She leaned forward slightly on the bench as she laughed extremely embarrassed that her face grew warmer. Lucy straightened up and put her hands in her lap with an embarrassed look resting on her face, “I’m never living that down am I?” In all honest Lucy would not mind having Kaleb tease her. ‘Much easier being teased by a cute cowboy then my friends.’ Lucy thougth to herself.

Vanessa would have to go down to La Push some time. Sounds interesting.
Of course, lunch was already over and it is time for math. Woo Hoo (sarcasm.) But, she had the class with Kate so atleast she would have someone to talk to. She got up threw away her empty bottle and salad and went back to the table. "Um. Ok, so I lost my map and Im afraid Im gonna get lost, wanna walk together?" She kind of laughed a little at the thought of getting lost in Forks High School. It was fairly smaller then her previous school, but just confusing. When she first pulled up to the school earlier that morning, it looked like a gathering of just buildings, whereas her old high school was just one big building.

Kaleb let out a little laugh between bites of his food, as Lucy frowned, obviously a little confused by his statement. Still grinning as big as he could he saw the wheels in her head moving as it finally clicked. She finally figured out what he was talking about and then went into full embarrassment mode, again. Kaleb laughed along with Lucy's amazing laugh and only stopped long enough to shake his head "no," somberly, when she asked if she was ever going to live it down. Then he said, "Ha, sorry, I don't think I can let you forget that, it was pretty priceless. I mean, here I was just trying to make conversation with a pretty girl, and the next thing I know she's in the floor! I must admit, that's not the reaction I was hoping for, but it sure made my day. However I do feel bad about it...and do still apologize!"
Kaleb then sat there with a big smile still on his face and thought 'Wow, that was unexpected.' He was shocked with himself because of what he had just said. He hadn't expected to really sit with anyone at lunch and wouldn't have sat with a girl...let alone call a girl pretty to her face. But in the few hours that he'd known Lucy, Kaleb realzed that it was just easy to be around her, and so much fun to make her smile and laugh. 'Way to go cowboy, turning over a new leaf, be more bold...won't kill you.' [/b]

Lucy cringed and put a hand on her head groaning half heartedly, “Oh man.” Kaleb then started saying something about her less then graceful fall being priceless. ‘Oh yeah real funny cowboy laugh it up. I will find some way to…wait did he just say pretty?’ Before Lucy realized what was going the hugest grin split her face and only part of her could hear what Kaleb said after that. Lucy laughed though when she realized that Kaleb was apologizing for unintentionally making her fall out of her chair.
‘Lala Land has taken over in Lucy’s head.’ Lucy thought to herself. ‘Say something cute Lucy, come on you can do it!’ with more confidence then she realized she gave Kaleb a slightly coy grin, “Well Mr. Cowboy that’s what a pretty girl like me is here for to make a sweet guy’s day.” A few seconds later the bell rang. ‘Couldn’t have made it better then if we were in a movie.’ Lucy thought. She laughed and got to her feet and grabbed her back pack. ‘Be bold! You’ve done it already, what do you have to loose?’ “So um you want to walk to class together? I know I can’t put off algebra forever; as much as I would want to.”

Katelyn sighed as the bell sounded for lunch to end and for everyone to head to their next class. While Vanessa went to throw her stuff away, she saw Kenzie's 'We'll talk about this later' look and gave her own I know' one back. It was a good thing she, Lucy, and Kenzie had been friends since they were five, otherwise nothing they ever said or did would make sense to each other. However, it did to them and only them. When Vanessa came back over and said that she had lost her school map, Katelyn smiled and said, "Okay, you can walk with me to class. I'm sure Lucy will have already beaten me there anyways." She turned to Kenzie and gave her a quick hug. "I'll get directions from Lucy to your house and we'll both come over to talk after school." She looked back at her best friend one more time before heading off to algebra...one of her least favorite classes of all time, praying Lucy saved her a seat.

Vanessa saw the look between Kate and Kenzie and knew it must've been something she said. Oh well.
Vanessa was walking to Algebra with Kate. She had always hated any kind of math. She even hated 1 grade math with the 2+2=4 thing. She had no idea how she had gotten into an AP class with how much she hated it. It was most likely because of how much her mother pressured her to get good grades and get a scholarship to college. She needed that scholarship. She wasn't made of money and didn't even have enough for a year at a community college, and she didn't want to go to just any college. She wanted to go Ivy League. So, the pressure was definatly on for her. She needed good grades, meaning no going out for her till she had ALL her homework done and correct. It was going to be a long week.

Kaleb was really beginning to adore her comebacks; Lucy was so cute in how she worded her replies. 'Haha...ok, who is she really talking to? She said sweet and cowboy in the same sentence...she really talking to me?
All of the sudden the bell pulled him from his thoughts back into reality and he realized that he still had half a day of school left 'Dang!' and then he heard Lucy say “So um you want to walk to class together? I know I can’t put off algebra forever; as much as I would want to.” Kaleb also stood up and grabbed his trash and his notebook and said "It would be my pleasure, ma'am. I just happened to see where my next class was on the way to the cafeteria...it's too bad you have algebra next. Geez, I would definitely fall asleep in that class, being all 'fat n happy' and what-not right after lunch." Kaleb laughed at himself and then smiled at Lucy hoping she didn't think he was too hick for saying that; then motioned for Lucy to lead the way back inside.

Lucy grinned as Kaleb seemed to be a little lost in thought for a few seconds. She grinned when he stood up and reminded her that she wasn’t all that tall. He got his stuff together and mentioned that he was able to find where his next class was, “Yeah I think I passed where they have most of the math classes earlier so I have a general idea of where to go.” She laughed with Kaleb as he mentioned that he would fall asleep in math if that was the class that he had to take after lunch and being “fat n happy.” “Oh yeah,” Lucy stretched dramatically adding a yawn, “I wouldn’t mind a bit of a cat nap right now.” She laughed at herself and started walking back around to the main school building. Lucy grinned as she started walking backwards so that she could face Kaleb and wriggled her eyebrows a few times, “Let’s hope I don’t though. I can’t afford classroom coma.”
