Renesmee was utterly terrified, but was comforted in the fact that Alice was there to help her. Her heart was racing as she knew that this was real and in fact happening. As Alice went and got a few things for her, she tried to stay calm enough while they were in the store. They got out to the car and a few tears escaped onto her cheeks from her eyes. Looking over at Alice, she replied, "I'm scared. This is something that is forever going to change my life...and Jacob's too. And this baby growing inside of me is going to be even more unique than I was when I was born." She ran her hand along her stomach softly. The thought was still setting in that she was going to have a child.
"Alice, what is going to happen to me?" she asked quietly. From what Renesmee knew of her own birth, she had basically caused her mother to lose her human life. Inwardly, she wondered what was going to happen to her being that she was only half-human. "The baby doesn't seem to be as rapidly growing as I was, but I just don't know."

Alice put her hand on Nessies shoulder. She wished that she could tell Nessie everything that was going to happen to her, but witNessie being only half vampire, Alice had a hard time seeing her future. "Nessie, you know I can't see your future. And with this baby being yours, and also having wolf in it, I for sure won't be able to see anything about it." Alice said letting out a small giggle to her niece. "And yes this baby will change your life. But just think of all the joy it will bring to so many people. In a way this is what the family needed." Alice said as she reached over and hugged Nessie.
Alice pulled away and looked at Nessies stomach. "No the baby is not growing as fast as you did, that's most likely your human part. Also you have to remember that Jacob is in ways a human has well. We should find out as much as we can about shape shifter births as we can. That way we can figure out how long you might be carrying this child." Alice smiled, trying to make things sound not all that bad. "My guess is that you will be five to six months before that baby pops out." Alice giggled.

Smiling, Renesmee mused, "I guess we'll have a new baby in the family by summer. May or June would be my guess for the little one to arrive." Looking down at her belly, she thought of the sweet child with dark ringlets and deep brown eyes, just like Jacob's. She wondered how much of the baby would be vampire and would it age as fast as she had. That thought lingered, as well as the question of if the baby would be immortal or not. As far as she knew, there had never been a child like hers.
In her head, Renesmee was already thinking of how she was going to tell the rest of the family, but she knew that she had to tell one person before anyone else knew. "How do I tell Jacob?" she asked, looking back at Alice. "I want him to be the first to know of the family...well, besides you." Looking down at her wedding band and engagement ring, she knew that maybe the baby would not be such a bad thing. Even if Jacob had said he wanted time to themselves before they had children, there was no stopping the fact that a new baby was going to be born in a few months. "Daddy is going to be the hardest to tell," she sighed. Renesmee knew that her father would be shocked and probably somewhat disappointed that she and Jacob had gotten pregnant within the first month of marriage.

Alice laughed at her niece. "Tell Jacob when you feel the time is right." She smiled taking Nessies hand. "As for your father and the rest of the family, if any of them have a bad word to say, just let me take care of them." She laughed at herself, she was trying hard to make Nessie laugh as well.
Alice then started the car. "Well I think we should go shopping. I mean we are already in the city, and your closes won't be fitting for much longer." Alice said looking at Nessies belly and then back up at her. "What do you say? It'll help calm you down." Alice smiled and let out a small giggle.

Renesmee laughed at the thought of her aunt 'taking care of' anyone in the family who opposed the pregnancy, which she didn't really see happening as everyone loved her dearly and would be excited for a new child in their lives. "Anyone messing with you would be sorry Aunt Alice," she laughed again. Finding laughter through her scary situation was something Renesmee was thankful for. Alice was good at that.
At the mention of shopping, Renesmee perked up. There was so much to get with so little time because the baby would be there by summer. Alice was right that her belly would begin to start growing rapidly and her clothes wouldn't fit anymore. "I would love to go shopping," she said excitedly. "I think I'll be a cute pregnant mommy-to-be, especially with you helping me shop for my clothes." Another set of giggles escaped her lips and she pressed her hand to her stomach instinctively. Her mothering instincts were already kicking in early.
