It had been a few days since Renesmee and Jacob departed for their honeymoon and Bella had been dying to know about Alice, her time in London, and what happened with Evan exactly. Feeling rather sisterly, Bella left the cottage and went up to the mansion to see if Alice was home. Walking around the living room, she didn't see her little pixie of a sister, so she decided to go upstairs to her and Jasper's bedroom to see if she would be in there by any chance of luck. "Alice?" she called, seeing the door was slightly ajar. "Are you in here?"
By all the stars, she hoped she was. Bella really needed to talk to her sister as she had missed her so very dearly over the last few months. A lot had happened since then, on both ends.

Alice was down in the kitchen when Bella called her name. She ran up to see her. "Hey Bells! What's going on?" She asked her sister as she went to sit on the bed. Alice hadn't been sleeping in the bed her and Jasper used to share since she got home, she just didn't want to. She then smiled up at Bella. She had missed her so much while she was gone.

Bella smiled the minute Alice walked into the door. The months without her sister had driven her nearly insane with all the wedding plans and family drama with Crystal and Will. The thought of them made her shudder and twitch in aggitation. "Oh, I was just a little lonely; not having Nessie around and whatnot. I guess it's just part of being a mother, this feeling of having to let go of my only child," she sighed, going over and sitting on the bed next to Alice. It had been an awkward few days since her return with Jasper and Bella could sense that. "So, you never told me about London. How was your trip there?"

Alice smiled at Bella when she asked her about London. "London was amazing. I met Evan not long after I got there. I spent almost all of my time with him." She smiled thinking about Evan. "He really is an amazing person. Every thing about him I adore." She then relized she was talking to much. "What about you, what did I miss here?" Alice asked. She felt like she needed to be caught up on a lot of stuff around the Cullen house.

Smiling at her sister's happiness, she looked down at her hands momentarily before speaking again. "Well, all the Crystal drama finally came to a breaking point...Will came back. We're still hunting them down in fact. After you left was when all hell broke loose really about that whole situation," she said scoffingly at the memory of Crystal's betrayal. "Around that time, Nessie was near tears from all that happened, so I took her to New York for a break and to plan some wedding stuff. My cousins, Lexie and Ronnie, also moved in with us. And Emmett found out that he had a son named Maden...long story there."
Bella tried to go through her mind of what else had happened. This was when Renesmee's powers would come in handy. "Oh, Jake's wolf pack grew a little. He gained two new wolves," she added. "So, tell me more about Evan."

Alice laughed at Bella. "So much has happened. New family memebers, drama, more wolves. I feel like I don't know anything anymore." She let out a small giggle and then looked down. She thought about Evan and what to tell Bella about him. "Evan is different. In away he reminds me of Edward a bit and in another way he reminds me of Jasper. He has the power to feel empathy just by touching you." Alice said looking up at Bella. "He really is wonderful. In London we would spend hours just walking around talking and laughing. He's become my best friend Bella." She smiled.

Listening to Alice talk about Evan, Bella knew her sister was smitten. There was just something that lit up in her eyes when she talked about him; the way they used to when she would talk about Jasper. A few strings pulled at her heart because Jasper and Alice had been together for so long and were so in love. Before she had ever married Edward, Bella had looked to Alice and Jasper as the perfect relationship; so giving and compassionate with one another. When Alice said that Evan had become her best friend, she laughed. "I see I have been replaced," she jokingly said. "But I'm glad you found a friend you would talk to while you were away."
"Alice, when you left...it hurt all of us so badly," she said gently, looking into her sister's eyes. "Nessie didn't speak to anyone but Jake for days and even after she came around, she still hasn't spoken to Jasper at all." Truth be told, neither had Bella because she was so angry with Jasper for not going after Alice. Her heart was torn because on one hand, she was utterly pissed at Jasper for what he had done to drive Alice away and on the other, she wanted the fighting to end in the family. "Even Edward wasn't really himself after you had gone. About the only thing holding all of us together was Nessie and Jake's wedding. We wanted everything to be perfect for them and when you came home, it was. Did you see how happy she was to see you?"

Alice looked at Bella and went to hug her. "Oh shut up Bells! You know you could never be replaced." She said squeezing her tightly. She then pulled away and listed to Bella and everything she said about what happened when Alice had gone away. Alice looked down and walked over to look out the window. "I'm sorry Bella. I really am. I know I hurt you all, but please understand that I needed to go. I had a lot of thinking to do and had to find somethings out on my own." She turned to look at Bella. "And please don't blame Jasper. It doesn't matter anymore because I'm home now, so everything is fine." She smiled trying to make Bella see the light.

"Oh I know I could never be replaced," she jokingly admitted as Alice hugged her. "I just have to give you a hard time about it." Bella knew that Alice would never even think of replacing her as a friend; they were far too close and loved one another dearly as sisters. She watched as Alice got up and walked to the window and explained her absence and apologized for what happened.
However, she knew that everything was not going to be fine. Bella knew that the news that Jasper had cheated on her and gotten Lexie pregnant was going to hurt Alice the most. Since the wedding, it had been kept strictly under wraps that Lexie was pregnant with Jasper's child and Bella had been taking care of the entire situation. How she was ever going to tell Alice was beyond her, but she knew that she had to or she would find out otherwise. "Alice...there's something that I need to tell you..." she began, walking over to the window and taking her sister's hands gently.

Alice looked up at Bella has she took her hand. "Bella what is it?" She asked her. Bella had a look of pain in her face and Alice knew something was up. "Are you hurt or in danger? I mean I haven't seen anything." Alice told her sister. She was worried about what was going on with Bella. "Bells, just tell me."

Bella choked back come venom in her throat that was there from anger at Jasper. She had to tell Alice now. It was now never. Looking into her sister's eyes with the utmost compassion, she sighed deeply and began to tell her. "Alice, while you were away..." she began, not knowing how to put all of it into words, but she knew her sister deserved to know. "Well, something happened between Jasper and my cousin Lexie. And now...Lexie is pregnant with Jasper's child." She paused to let the thoughts sink into Alice's mind, hoping that it wouldn't make her leave again. That was the last thing she wanted was for Alice to leave again. It would break everyone's heart, including her own, to lose her sister like that.

Alice was in shock, she didn't know what to say. She just looked up into Bellas eyes. She stood there for a moment and then went to seat on the bed, still at a loss for words. "You're joking Bells, Jasper loves me and would never have cheated on me." She said looking back at Bella hoping that she was joking, that it was April fools day or something.

Bella watched as Alice went to sit on the bed, utterly in shock. Honestly, Bella wanted to cry for her, but neither could. She went and sat down next to her sister and looked into her eyes again. "I wish I were only joking, believe me I do," she said mournfully. "Apparently Lexie came to Jasper one night after getting drunk, afraid that I would be angry with her, and Jasper tried to control her emotions and blacked out. When he woke up, they had already done the unthinkable. I didn't know until the wedding that anything had even happened, but Lexie came to me and told me she thought she had slept with Jasper. Then, she started showing the same signs as I did when I was pregnant with Renesmee. Alice, I'm so sorry and I wish that I could take it all away and make it like it never happened because I don't want you to go away again."

Alice felt an anger that she had never felt before. "Get Jasper here right now!" Alice snapped at Bella. "I'm going to kill him and you're not going to stop me." She said as she jumped up and grabbed the lamp and threw it across the room. The lamp broke into a million little pieces. "Bella this just might be the end of my being a Cullen. I never cheated on him while I was gone, not once, never did I even thing about it." Alice said falling to the ground and putting her head in her hands.

Never, in her entire life mortal or otherwise, had Bella seen Alice get that angry. It was almost terrifying just watching her go off like that, but Bella knew that Alice had a right to be because her husband had cheated on her. The lamp that was broken could be replaced, but she knew that her sister's heart could not. As soon as Alice hit the floor, Bella immediately went to her sister's side and wrapped her arms around her. "Alice, I'm so sorry," she whispered, completely forlorn and unsure of what to say to her sister. "Killing Jasper won't solve anything...believe me, I considered it the moment I knew and he was damn lucky Edward didn't find out first or he would have killed him on the spot, regardless of if Jasper could've controlled himself or not."
Slowly, she pulled her sister up so that she could be eye-to-eye with her. In them, she saw all the pain in the world. "Alice, just because this has happened doesn't mean that you're not part of the family. Edward and I will always think of you as a Cullen and our sister; and I know Rose and Emmett will as well. And Nessie, well...she adores you as her aunt and wouldn't want you to leave again."
