Josh listened as Leah explained the instant connection and he smiled. He did not care why only that they were together and that she felt the same way about him. "I almost wish that I had not left home. I would have found you sooner." He said to her as he looked down into her beautiful eyes again. Josh knew that from now on she would be his reason for living. "I will never leave home again, I can tell you that." He said to her as he picked her up in his arms. "Would it be to early for me to tell you that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you?" He said to her. He would marry her on the spot if she would let him.

Leah could not help but smile as Josh looked into her eyes again. It was like seeing the world again for the first time through new eyes; almost like when she was with Sam, but so much better. As he proclaimed that he wished he had never left, Leah felt her smile widen a little. Her heart was literally flying on its own set of wings, especially as Josh declared that he would never leave home again and scooped her up into his arms. Leah had never felt this loved or appreciated, not in the least bit. Even though Sam had loved her at one time in their young lives, he had never loved her this way. And now she finally understood why and was able to forgive him for all of the heartache she had suffered when he imprinted on Emily. Her heart was now bound forever to Josh's in a way that could never be taken from her...ever. In that security, Leah let her guard down for the first time in thirty years.
As Josh asked if it was too soon to say that he loved her, Leah felt her cheeks redden a little with blush. It had been thirty years since she had felt anything like this and it was the most wonderful thing in the world. All the world was on a string now for her. She shook her head and grinned. "No, because I love you too," she admitted, wrapping her arms around his neck to secure herself against him. "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you too." Leah knew that this was the most bold thing she had ever said in her life, but she knew that nothing could hurt her so long as Josh was there. She held fast to him and put all her trust in him without a single thought to it.

Josh smiled as Leah said that she felt the same way about him. He wished that they were not on a public beach now. Josh pulled her into his arms and lifted her off the ground as he kissed her with all the passion that was growing inside of him. He wanted to take her into the woods and ravish her, but he knew that was not the right thing to do. Josh kissed her again and then set her down. He looked into her eyes, and smiled as a thought crossed his mind. He knew what he wanted, but he would let her lead. "So what should we do now?" He asked as he smiled at her with a devilish grin.

Standing there, Leah felt him wrap his strong arms around her waist and lift her off the ground as he kissed her. She happily smiled and kissed him back with all that she had. Laughing as he held her there in his arms, Leah knew that there was no where else in the world that she wanted to be than right there. As he kissed her and placed her back on the ground, she heard his question and watched his lips curl into a devlilsh grin. Automatically she knew what he was thinking without even having to ask...after all, she did grow up with a brother and spent most of her time with a bunch of guys in the pack. It didn't take a genius to know what he was thinking right then. But she knew that if that happened before marriage, her brother would throw a huge fit, so she thought of the next best thing.
"Race you to the water," she said quickly before pecking his cheek and darting toward the ocean. As she ran down the beach, she discarded her shoes and socks before stripping down to her barest underclothing before running into the cold waters of the ocean. The cold had absolutely zero affect on her as her body temperature ran at over a hundred consistantly from her shape-shifter genes. The waves lapped around her as she turned around in the waist deep water to wait for Josh to join her. Having fun was a new concept to Leah, but she found that she was growing to love it more and more now that she had Josh to share it with.

Josh knew what he wanted, but from the response he got for Leah, it was not the same thing that she wanted right now. That was fine with him, he could wait. Josh thought about that for a minute and realized how odd that was for him. Josh had never been one to wait for anything and now he was waiting on the one thing that he wanted most. Josh watched as Leah said that she would race him and ran for the water. He smiled when she stared to pull off her clothes. That was part of what he wanted, but he knew that she only wanted to swim and have fun together. Josh ran after her down to the water, making sure that he did not try to out run her. He was not sure if he could or not, but he was not going to try to find out either. Josh was happy with the way that thing's were for him and her. He reached the water just a few minutes after her and pulled her into his arms. "I guess we could swim." He said to her knowing that the cold would not bother them.

As Leah waited for Josh to join her, she thought about how her life had just been turned upside down. When she had become a wolf over thirty years ago, she thought any chances of finding someone who could love her were over. Female wolves were rumored to be the "end of the line" in a family bloodline. At least that was the thought until Delilah imprinted and gave birth to a healthy set of twins. She thought of if it were possible to have children of her own with Josh. Now that they had imprinted, she knew that it was a definite possibility. But the question was whether or not they wanted children. Leah had never really been around any kids, not even Delilah's really, so she wasn't even sure she could be a good mother.
When Josh finally joined her and pulled her close. His body temperature felt completely natural against hers in the frigid waters. It was a weird feeling to finally be imprinted to someone. The imprint was so final and definite that nothing could break it. And for the first time, her love was returned by someone completely and totally. There was no fear of Josh falling for someone else as Sam had, so Leah could relax and be herself. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she kissed his lips passionately. "I love you," she said softly. Everything was so new and so exciting that Leah could hardly contain the butterflies that were swirling around inside of her.

Josh smiled and kissed Leah back. When she said that she loved him, he smiled even bigger. Josh knew that Leah was his life now. He would never be able to leave her and could not think of his life without her. "I love you, too." He whispered as he ran his lips down her neck. He wanted her more than he had ever wanted anyone. Josh did not know if Leah had ever been with anyone before. He thought about that for a minute and decided that it did not matter. As his kissed down her neck, Josh wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. He then let his hands start wandering up and down her back. He finally settled his hands on her but. He lifted her up and wrapped her legs around his waist as he kissed her with enough passion to boil the frigid water. Josh would let her decide if this was what she wanted. When he pulled away from the kiss, he held her there waiting for her to make the next move. He knew that she would either try to get down, or make a move to let him know that she was ready. Either way he would be fine with her decision. He could wait if she did not want what he did. Josh knew that was a knew trait for him. He had never been willing to wait for someone else before. Josh had always taken what he wanted.

For the first time, Leah was taken completely off guard. Her relationship with Sam had been so simple, as only humans can muster, but this thing with Josh was completely different and unlike anything she had ever experienced. His kiss was five times as passionate as any Sam had ever given her while they had dated. As his lips traced down to her neck, she breathed in sharply. Nothing had ever felt like this before and she didn't want it to stop. A moment later, she felt Josh pick her up and wrap her legs around his waist, kissing her with more passion than she had ever felt before in her entire existence. It could have moved mountains if put into a kind of kinetic energy. When he broke it and looked at her, she knew what the next move should be if they were following the natural chain of reaction. She also knew that her brother would kill Josh if he knew that they had done anything, but that didn't matter to Leah right then. Never before had she had any kind of emotional and physical happiness like this, so she wanted to enjoy every moment of it in the now. Wrapping her arms around Josh's neck, she pulled him back close to her and kissed him passionately once more. This is what she wanted right then and there; to live in the moment with her beloved, the one who had claimed her as his own and she had clamed for herself by imprint. Nothing would ever steal her happiness again.

Josh knew that he wanted Leah like no one before. He could not stand to not be kissing and touching her. He was holding her in his arms and knew that he wanted her. He also knew that he had to leave things up to her. He would not hurt her. He loved her more than his own life and he would not let her get hurt. When she pulled him closer to her and kissed him with a passion that matched his own, that was all the invitation that he needed.
Josh carried her deeper into the water, til he knew that he was the only one that could touch the bottom. He knew that the water would support her weight so he moved his hands from her waist and back up her back, as he did he pulled her shirt with him until it was at her shoulders. He held it there with one hand while he took the other one and grabbed Leah's wristed from behind his neck. He lifted her arms over his head and above hers. He held them there while he lifted her shirt the rest of the way off with the hand that was holding it. He then tossed it with enough strength to make sure that it landed on the beach. He then kissed down her neck and to her collarbone. Tracing circles with his tongue as he went along.

Nothing in the world could have stolen this moment from Leah now. Even though she had only just met Josh earlier, everything about him was right for her from the way he smelt to how he held her against him. Josh was the one she had wanted all along, but never knew he existed until now. The way she felt about Sam couldn't even hold a candle to how she felt for Josh now. As they waded further out into the water, she knew that she trusted him entirely and did not worry about where they were heading. When he stopped, she felt his hand run up her back as he pulled up her shirt. Less than ten seconds later, her shirt was gone and on the beach somewhere as Josh returned his attention to kissing her.
As his lips went down her neck and rested on her collarbone, Leah felt shivers go up her spine. Nothing had ever made her feel this alive before and she didn't want him to stop. His tongue began to trace circles on her collarbone. Leah closed her eyes and moaned lightly, clenching her fists in his hair before looking back down and reclaiming his lips to her own, deepening the kiss and pulling him closer by his hair. This was something she definitely did not want to stop now or ever.

Josh felt Leah's response to him and that was all that he needed. Josh amped up him passion for her and pulled her ever closer. They were almost like one now. Josh knew that he was going to have to move her for him to get what he wanted and knew now that she wanted to. He knew that she could not touch were they were so he just shifted her in his arms. Josh was not going to let her go. As he moved her, his lips never left hers and he let his hands move as they needed to. Once there was nothing between them, he pulled her back to him and let all control go. He felt the shiver down his spine, but knew that it was not the shiver of fire that came before he changed to a wolf. This was a shiver of passion and he was extremely happy with it. ********************************************************************* He had carried her back to the beach and retrieved their clothes after he could form thoughts again. Josh had never felt for anyone what he felt for Leah. She took his breath away in every sense of the word. He pulled her close to his chest again and smiled down at her. "Shall we go to you house and find Seth? I am sure that he would like to spend some time with you as he has not seen you in forever." Josh said to her as he leaned down to gently kiss her again. He knew that he would never get tired of that.

In all of her entire life, as a human and shape-shifter, Leah had never had anything close to what she had just experienced with Josh, not even with Sam while they were dating. She was now no longer a virgin and a taken woman. The realization of that hit her like the shock of ice water against someone who was dropped into a lake, but it was a sensation that she welcomed happily. However, after redressing and being pulled close to Josh's chest again, she realized that once Seth found out what they had done, he would be furious. Seth was one of those brothers that couldn't stand the thought of his sister losing her virginity until marriage and she had just done with Josh in the ocean was not something he'd want to hear.
As Josh kissed her lips again, she had to stop him for a moment so she could think through what they were going to do next. "You do realize that if we go back and my brother finds out what just happened between us, he's going to jump you?" she pointedly asked, resting her hands on his chest. "I mean, you guys might be great friends and all, but I'm his only sister and he's very protective of me especially since both of our parents are now gone and have been for quite some time now." Leah thought about the day she lost her father momentarily. The heart-attack had come so suddenly that no one expected it. Seth had been forced to step up and be the man of the house after that, on top of both of them phasing for the first time. Life had not been easy for either one of them and she knew exactly how her brother would react.

Josh listened to Leah and smiled at her. He know that she was probably right about Seth, but he also knew that Seth was aware that they had imprinted on each other. He was sure that Seth would not be happy about them being together before they were married but at the same time, he did not think that Seth would overreact to it either. "I think I can handle Seth." Josh said to her in a happy voice. "But we are not going to tell him anyway. It is none of his business. All he needs to know it that we are happy and that we are going to get married." Josh continued in that same overly happy voice. Josh was thinking about them being engaged and knew that he did not want to wait. "I think that we should get married as soon as we can. I don't want to wait. I have found you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I am ready to start our life together." He said to her as he leaned down to kiss her again.

Leah could think of two ways her brother was going to react; the first being that he would be fine with everything, including the fact that she and Josh had slept together already. The second, the one she feared, was him going berserk on her or Josh, which would include a lot of yelling. For everyone's sake, she hoped he would take the first reaction more than anything else. However, she was relieved to hear Josh mention that they wouldn't neccessarily tell him all the details of their love life, which made her relax a little more. That was something she wanted to keep as private as possible, not only from her brother but from the pack in general. Her sex life was not something she wanted to put on display for the masses, especially not anyone she phased with really.
As he mentioned marriage, Leah's mind came to a halt for a second. She knew that imprinting meant that they would eventually marry, but she never expected it so fast. Nor did she expect to be proposed to in this manner. Even if Leah was a cynic, she still had some romantic ideas in her mind about how she wanted to be proposed to. "Are you proposing to me?" she asked in a serious tone of voice, looking at Josh to find the answer. She had always been raised that things were done a certain way and she was hoping that her life would be somewhat traditional, even after all she had been put through in phasing and becoming a shape-shifter.

Josh that about what he had said after he said it and knew that it did not come out right. He did wanted to settle down with Leah, but they had only just met and he had not even met the rest of the pack yet. Josh knew that there was no need to rush things but he really did not want to wait. He knew that planning a wedding would take time and figured that would be enough time for them. When Leah asked if he was proposing, he knew that he had not gone about thinks the right way. Josh knew that he needed to fix this.
"I did not mean that as a proposal. I know that there are things that have to be done before we get to that point." Josh said as he thought about everything. He knew that he needed to talk to Seth first and foremost. He would talk to Seth and then he would propose to Leah properly. He would do much better than just blurting something out like that. "I will not lie about the feelings that I have for you. I have imprinted on you and you have on me. Though for the life of me I don't know what you see in me." He said as he pulled her into he arms and bent down to kiss her again.
