Seth had been away from home to long. He left Canada in a full run. He had not truely stretched his legs like that since his was a kid in LaPush. He was going home and that had him excited. He felt like the kid of the pack again the closer that he got to home. He knew that there was a whole new generation of wolves now but to the rest of the pack, he would always be the kid.
Seth ran with Josh on his heels, he had met Josh in Canada. Seth had helped him with his first phase and they had become best friends after that. "Hurry up Josh, we are almost there!" Seth said as they crossed onto the Cullen land. Seth could smell the Cullen's and knew that LaPush was just on the other side of their land. Seth ran along the back of their property close to the cottage. He knew that Edward was back and figured that he would be there. "Hey Edward, I am home. I am going to see my sister first, but I will be by soon to see you, old friend." Seth thought as they ran past the cottage.
As Seth crossed onto the reservation he opened up to full speed and flew through the woods. He was not sure where his sister was, but he started to call her. "Leah, I am home. Meet me at the beach!" He was not sure if she was in wolf form or not, but if he did not hear from her but the time he reached the beach, he would call her cell. Seth slid to a stop at the edge of the beach, just inside the woods. Seth phased and put on his jeans and tshirt. He looked back at Josh and waited for him. Seth had not heard from his sister in wolf form, so he pulled out his phone and called her. "Leah, come to the beach. I am home." Seth quickly said over the phone.

Josh was running like never before, trying to keep up with Seth. It seemed like the closer they got to the reservation, the faster that Seth ran. Josh heard Seth tell him to hurry up and he snorted. "I am running as fast as I can Seth. You are to fast for me." Josh thought. Josh was surprised at the speed in the sandy wolf. Josh listened as Seth called to someone named Edward. Josh wondered if Edward was another wolf. How else would he be able to hear Seth in wolf form, Josh thought to himself. He was not going to ask to many questions of Seth right now. He knew that Seth was on a mission to get home. Josh did not want to be a burden.
When they reached some point in the woods Seth started to move even faster and Josh could not keep up. He could still see and hear Seth but there was a good quarter mile between them. When Josh reached the point where Seth had stopped he was already dressed and on the phone. Josh figured that he was calling his sister. Josh phased back and got dressed. He was not sure what his home coming would bring. Josh had not been on the reservation since he was a kid. He had never truely fit in with the other's because he looked like a pale skin, because of his mother. Josh stood beside Seth rather nervously. "Seth, what if the pack does not accept me? That is why I left here so long ago." Josh said to Seth, but could tell that Seth really was not looking.

Leah woke with a start, hearing her alarm go off. Groaning, she smacked it off and looked at the time. It was just after nine in the morning, she she decided to go ahead and get up and shower. Pulling out a pair of jeans, a shirt, and her other clothes, she went into the bathroom and showered before redressing. Walking into her kitchen, she made a light breakfast of toast and cereal, sitting down at the table to eat. Sitting there reminded her of mornings she had spent with her family before her parents passed away. Her brother would always steal the strawberry jam right when she reached for it and she would always smack the back of his head. She missed Seth a lot, even if he was a pain in the ass.
Thinking on that, she cleaned up after finishing her meal and started to walk back to her room to do some light reading just to take her mind off things when she felt her phone go off in her back pocket. Pulling it out, she saw the caller i.d. was her brother's. Hardly containing herself, she picked it up and heard her brother on the other end. "Be there in ten," she replied and hung up. Grabbing a hoodie from her room, she took off out the front door and sprinted to First Beach as fast as her human legs would carry her. When she arrived, she saw the outline of her brother and ran toward it, seeing someone else with him. For a moment she wondered who it was, but that didn't matter at that second. When she got closer and finally got a good look at both of them, everything in her world seemed to halt. The entire earth was now on a string, at least that's what it felt like, hundreds of strings pulling her toward that stranger next to her brother. Everything was blurry, even Seth. Leah shook her head and tried to make sense of it, but the only thing that came to her thoughts was the man standing before her, whoever he was. And then, it dawned on her, like the light of a brand new day. Leah Clearwater had imprinted.
Pulling from her awe, she looked at her brother and smiled. A smile that she had not had in a very long time. Embracing him, she felt like the world had been set right. "I'm so glad you're finally home," she said. "You've missed a hell of a lot around here." She knew that Seth would want to be filled in on everything, but she could not ignore the irresistible gravity that was pulling her toward the handsome stranger her brother had brought with him. She had to know who he was.

Seth heard his sister's voice on the other end of the phone and all was right in the world. He could not wait to see her and introduce her to Josh, though he knew that Leah was not the easiest person in the world to get to know, especially if you were a man. When Seth hung up the phone he turned to Josh to answer his question. "Man don't worry about it, we are family." He said as he turned to watch for his sister.
When he saw her figure running in the distance, he could hardly contain himself. They had fought a lot as kids, but they were each other's only family now. Seth was about to reach for her, when she came to a dead stop and looked a Josh. Seth saw the smile go across Leah's face and recognized it instantly. He had not seen that smile, since Sam. Seth realized what happened and like to fell out laughing. Leah had imprinted on Josh. After all this time, Leah had imprinted on the wolf that Seth had found in Canada.
When Leah imbraced Seth, he knew for sure. "I don't seem to have missed to much." He said looking down at her. He had grown taller than her years ago. "Seems my return was a bigger surprise than I intended it to be." He said smiling at his sister. He was glad that she had imprinted, but he knew from Quil that if Josh did not imprint on her, it would break her heart again. Seth hoped that Josh would fill the same way for her so that it would not be like Quil and Tash. "Leah, let me introduce you to a good friend of mine, Josh Green." Seth said gesturing toward Josh.

Josh was standing beside Seth when he answered Josh's question. He was about to ask something else when he saw the girl in the distance. He figured that it was Seth's sister. Josh was a player in Canada and was not ready for what was about to happen to him. Seth had not told him any thing about imprinting, so he had no idea what was going on. When the girl came into focus everything stood still. He saw only her in that instant. It was like the world had stopped spinning and they were the only two people in existance. Josh was stunned by the feelings that he had for this woman that he did not know. He could not take his eyes off of her as she hugged her brother. He wished that it was him that she was hugging.
Josh stood there with his eyes fixed on her, not even listening to Seth. At first he did not heard Seth introduce him. When his eyes met with hers again, he knew that she was the one for him. He had to have her. "Hello, I am Joshua Green." He studdered out to her. Josh did not know what to do. He looked to Seth for the slightest of moments. He hoped that Seth could explain what was going on inside of him.

When her brother let go of her, he had hinted that he knew she had imprinted on the man next to him. Only a brother and fellow wolf would know something like that, but Leah was not ashamed. For the first time in her wolf existence, she felt whole. There was not this huge gaping hole inside of her waiting to be filled with empty hopes and promises that she made herself. The imprint that she felt was real. When her brother introduced her to Josh, she felt her heart flutter a little; something that would have never happened to the old Leah Clearwater. However, she knew that her life was never going to be the same.
Looking at him, she felt like she could blush when he finally spoke and introduced himself. His voice was absolutely perfect in her mind, as was everything else about him. "I'm Leah Clearwater," she said, biting her lip a little bit. Josh had the bluest eyes she had ever seen, not to mention he had bronzed skin that was lighter than her own, but all of that just seemed to add to his charm. The gravity she felt around her drew her closer to him, but she wouldn't obey it just yet because she had only just met him. She didn't even know if he would like her and it would be a situation like Tash and Quil, which she knew she wouldn't survive if that happened. Her heart raced, but she kept herself in check. Looking back toward her brother, she managed to ask, "So, your friend is from Canada?"

Seth watched the interaction between Leah and Josh. He knew all to well what was happening between them and he was glad for his sister. When Leah asked him about Josh, he smiled. "Actually he is from here, but he has been living in Canada since his was ten." Seth said to his sister. He was not sure why she was not asking these question of Josh. Seth was happy to see his sister, but he knew that she would be more interested in Josh right now.
Seth looked at both of them and then smiled. "I think that I am going to go home and see what Leah has in the fridge." She said as he turned to walk away. He did not want to be around for all the mushy stuff that was going to happen between them. "Leah I will see you later and we can get caught up." He said smiling and hugging his sister again. He was happy to be home and wanted to see the rest of the pack and Edward.

Josh watched as Leah introduced herself to him and then turn back to her brother. He could not take his eyes of her, but she did not seem to be interested in him. When she started talking to her brother about him, instead of him. Josh felt a strange feeling in his chest. He did not know how to explain what he was feeling. He wanted to speak up to draw her attention back to him, but he knew that it had been a long time, since she and Seth had seen each other.
When Seth said that he was leaving, Josh did not know what to do. Josh did not know if he should follow or not. Josh wanted to talk to this beautiful girl alone and try to figure out what was going on, but he was uncertain of himself. "Umm...Seth I think that I am going to hang out on the beach for a while." Josh had as he watched Seth walk away. He hoped that Leah would hang out also. "I am sure that I can find some place in the woods to crash later." Josh said thinking that he did not have any place to stay here. Josh did not know where is parents house was or if it even still existed.

Hearing that Josh was actually from this area made Leah want to smile even more. So he is Quileute, she thought to herself as she listened to her brother. At the same time, she also wondered why he had gone to live in Canada when he was ten-years-old, but pushed that thought to the back of her mind for another conversation that she could have with Josh later. Everything about him was different and Leah could feel that in her own heart. All of the tribe boys had been right, imprinting was so definite and permanent, but she liked the feeling it gave her. It was like the world was somehow set right. For the first time in her life, Leah felt shy as Seth announced he was going back to the house to raid the fridge and would catch up with her later. She knew exactly what her brother was doing and gave him the look of Thank you mixed with the You're leaving me alone?! one. "I'll just stay here too," she said as her brother left the beach and went toward their home.
Turning around to face Josh, she gave him a shy smile. All of these feelings were new to Leah and she didn't exactly know how to process them, but she liked the feeling of finally being connected to someone. "So, you lived in Canada?" she finally asked, knowing it was a lame way to start a conversation but an easy one that was full-proof. If she was being honest, she wanted to know everything about Josh because he was perfect for her. She could not get over his beautiful blue eyes either. Leah had never seen a Quileute with blue eyes before and so she counted herself lucky to have imprinted on one.

Josh watched as Seth left and Leah stayed with him. He was counting his lucky stars that she had stayed. Maybe just maybe she felt something for him, close to what he was feeling for her. He knew that she was a perfect stranger, but that did not matter, she was the most beautiful woman that he ever saw. Josh turned to walk down the beach and looked to her to follow. He would figure out what was going on one way or another.
When she asked about him living in Canada, Josh smiled. That seemed a funny place to start but he would work with it. "Yeah, I moved to Canada after my parents died when I was young. My mom was from there and my Grandmother was there, so I went to her." Josh said as he looked into her eyes. He still did not understand this feeling that he had but he knew that it was to early in the conversation for him to broach that subject. "After my parents died, I did not feel like I belonged here, because of my looks." He said to her, telling her the truth behind him leaving the reservation. Yes he was a Quileute, but he did not look like one. He looked more like his mom. "So tell me about you and Seth. He really never talks about home." Josh said as he walked down to the water's edge.

Leah felt like an awkward fifteen-year-old standing with Josh, but she knew that there was nowhere else she would rather be in that moment than right there with him. Her heart wanted to stay with him always and that's how it would be from now on; at least that's what she was hoping if Josh felt any inclination toward her at all. Listening to him talk about his parents dying at a young age, Leah could definitely relate after losing her father when she was nineteen. She had been devastated when he died and she could remember that feeling distinctly from her life. As he also talked about not fitting in because of his looks, Leah looked at him. She also understood not fitting in as she was the first and only female wolf for the longest time. It had been a lonely existence.
When he switched the conversation to her, she smiled shyly. "Well, Seth and I are all each other has now," she replied. "Our father died when we were both teenagers, which is consequently what pushed us into our transformations for the first time." Leah thought about that day for a moment. Seth had been stoked about finally being in with the group of boys from the reservations, including Jacob, Embry, Quil, and Sam. She, on the other hand, had been less than thrilled. Pushing that thought aside, she continued on with her answer to Josh's question. "Our mom passed on about ten years back and since then, Seth decided to go on his little adventure...where I'm guessing he found you. As for me, I've been here in our old home." Pausing for a moment, she looked back at Josh and wondered if he was feeling anything she was at all. She had never been the brash one when it came to relationships. Sam, her one and only previous relationship, had been the one to persue her and ask her out so she honestly had no idea how to go about asking him if he had imprinted on her. "Um...would you be offended if I asked you if you were feeling anything strange since you saw me?" she hesitantly asked.

Josh listened as Leah talked about her and Seth and their parents. He knew that she understood how he felt when she mentioned her father's death. Josh was trying to concentrate on talking but is was not working. The more she talked the more he found himself watching her lips. Josh had never been one to retrain from something that he wanted. He found himself wanting her and not wanting to talk. He knew that he was a stranger to her though. He did not know how she would react to the thoughts that were going through his head. He was thinking about how she would look naked on the beach. He knew that was not right, but he had always been a player. Josh thought back over the last several years and knew that none of the others could hold a candle to the jewel in front of him.
When she asked about any strange feelings that he felt, that brought him back to the present. He thought that question over before he answered her. He thought about the feelings that he was feeling and knew that they were strange to him. "What the hell." He said out loud moments before he claimed her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms as he captured her lips with his. Josh kissed her so hard that he was sure he would hurt her. When he could barely retrain from ripping her clothes off, he released her and looked down at her. "Does that answer your question about the strange feelings?" He asked her as a slow smile crossed his lips.

Everything inside of Leah was trembling as she awaited his answer. She knew that she could not handle rejection again...not the way she had from Sam. That had broken her heart into a thousand pieces and she knew she would not survive it a second time. Silently she prayed that Josh would not do that to her...she knew that the rejection would sting worse than a thousand suns. She had watched Natasha endure it with Quil and could not do it herself. The seconds seemed to tick by as they walked along the beach. But, before she knew it, she heard Josh exclaim aloud before grabbing her by the hand and pulling her in for the most passionate kiss she had ever experienced in her life. It caught her completely by surprise and even though it would have most likely hurt another girl, it felt wonderful to Leah.
When he finally released her and looked into her eyes, asking her if that answered her question, Leah could hardly think through her words. They were a jumbled mess inside her head. None of the sentences she put together made sense anymore, but she didn't care. She knew that he felt the same! Josh had imprinted on her...it was a miracle. Never again would she have to worry about her heart breaking when the object of her affection generously returned her love. Blushing slightly, she looked down at the ground and smiled. "I guess so..." she replied quietly. "It's just that I...I've never really done this whole...well, dating, relationship, soul-mate thing before..." Her words failed her again. This was not like the old Leah Clearwater everyone once knew. The bitter resentment that once existed in her heart had melted away in minutes because of the man that stood before her now. Josh had saved her, heart and soul.

Josh listened as Leah stumbled through her words. He smiled for it was cute watching her try to form a sentence. He was happy in the knowledge that he affected her the way that she was affecting him. "I have never been good at relationships either, but I am sure this is different. I am not sure why, but I can not think about any thing but you." He said in a low voice. Josh was comfussed by what was happening but he was not going to stop. Josh was devoted to the beauty in front of him and he would give her anything that she wanted in life.
Josh pulled her into his arms again and stood there holding her. He did not know what else to do to comfort her. He wanted her to be happy. "I am sure that you have been a wolf far longer than I have. Maybe you can tell me, why I feel like I can tell you anything and why I want to give you the world." He said into her hair as he hugged her closer to him. He knew that he could never leave her, but he did not understand why.

Leah blushed a deeper red as Josh seemed to enjoy the fact that she was stumbling through her words, but in an adorable way that made him seem much more endearing. When he spoke of not being able to think about anything but her, it made her smile a little more. She had never heard that before in her entire life, wolf or otherwise. Even when she had been dating Sam, he had never once said that she was the only thing that occupied his thoughts. As he drew her into his arms, she felt the warmth radiating from his skin, not much different than her own, but comforting. She never wanted to leave his arms unless she absolutely had to. There was safety and security with him that she had never felt before with anyone.
Looking into his azure eyes, she knew that he would ask the inevitable question about why they felt this way and Leah was more than happy to answer him. "Well, there is this thing of wolf legends called imprinting, which basically means that a wolf finds their other half or soul-mate," she explained slowly, knowing that all of this was just as overwhelming to her as it was to him, if not more so for him because of his new wolf status. "When we find our soul-mates, it's like...well, the world stops for that moment and gravity pulls us toward that person. That person was made for us, perfectly. I felt it the moment I looked at you as I assume you did for me." Leah gave another quick smile before resting her hands on his chest. Everything was so new to her that she almost forgot how to really kiss someone as she tentatively leaned forward and kissed his lips softly.
