Alice stood silently while the rest of her family gathered. She knew that Edward had already read her mind and knew what was going on, but she still needed to inform the rest of the family of the imminent danger. As everyone gathered, she noticed that Carlisle and Jasper still were not there. In her mind, she knew that Jasper was most likely not going to come. And Carlisle was very busy with an influx of patients at the hospital as flu season was upon the humans, so she knew that it would be very difficult for him to steal away to come to their little meeting, but she knew that Esme would catch Carlisle up on the details. As Rosalie would for Jasper.
Looking at each of the faces of her family members, she knew how dangerous the situation would be and that they would have to decide quickly what to do before anything happened. Alice took a deep breath and placed her hands in front of her. "You all are wondering the reason I called you here so quickly," she began. "It's true that I've had a vision. But this was also right after I came upon the body of a child outside of our home, also found by a wolf from the pack. This child was mawled to death by some kind of animal...a child of the moon. Right after I found this child, I had a vision. It was a woman with red hair and a fierce look upon her face. She stood over the body of the child I found." Right then she looked to Bella and remembered the fear that she had when Victoria had hunted her. The same red hair and half-crazy look. It was something Bella had feared. And now, the same fear gripped Alice as she envisioned the woman from her own vision. The child of the moon.

Bella gave a half-hearted, yet comforted smile as Jacob ran his hand over the top of hers lightly. She was so thankful for everything that had happened that led him to being a part of their lives for all this time. Though it had been heart-breaking as she had lived it, everything had worked out perfectly the way it was supposed to. Bella brought her eyes to Alice as she began to speak, not even realizing that she had forgotten to breathe. Though it wasn’t necessary, she tried to keep up human characteristics as often as she could. Bella narrowed her eyebrows as Alice spoke, the words ‘child of the moon’ ringing into her ears until Alice also mentioned the fiery red hair and fierce look. Bella clenched her jaw slightly, remembering the very fear that the flaming red hair used to hold for her. She remembered that she had seen it in her dreams, let it consume her fear of never seeing Edward again. Bella looked away for a moment, taking in just exactly what this meant for all of them before she looked at each of her individual family members. She licked her lips slowly before she raised her eyebrow with a lift of her shoulders in an almost helpless or hopeless way. Bella brought her hands to her chest as she crossed them, her mind instantly worrying about Renesmee and Alicia. “Where do we start?”. She spoke quietly, looking back up at Alice before the rest of her family. Bella could only assume that Jacob and Emmett were busting at the seams to get ready to fight, to face this challenge head on. Whereas other members of her family would want a more organized, planned out strategy. It was amazing to her that though they were all so different, and wanted to accomplish the same goal in different ways, that they worked so well as a team. The saying that you’re only as strong as the weakest link, but in her opinion, there was no weak link in her family. She looked back over at her family, fearful of what would happen if anything ever happened to any of them , how it would dramatically impact their lives.

Rose was in Emmett's arms with her back to his chest when Alice told them her vision. Rosalie turned in his arms and hissed a low hiss. Rosalie had heard the legends about the children of the moon just like the others had. She knew that they were going to have to fight it to protect Forks. She looked up at Emmett's face and knew that he would be excited about a fight. She loved Emmett and knew that worrying about him was pointless. He was going to be fine. Emmett could protect himself. " We have never faced one of their kind before." Rosalie said as she looked up into Emmett's eyes. "How do we defeat them?" She asked as she turn back to face Alice and Edward. She did not know what else to do.

Edward knew what Alice saw before she spoke, but he waited on her. He knew that the family would look to Bella and him to guide them in the decisions that must be made. Edward knew that there was no way around the fight. He had never faced a child of the moon before, but he did have the knowledge from one who had. Edward was glad for once in his life that he could read minds.
He knew that Bella would need him so he moved himself closer to her. He was glad that Jacob was there also. Edward knew that Jacob could always calm Bella down. Edward remembered Bella's reaction when she found out that Jacob was not a true werewolf. Now they were going to have to face the real thing. Edward knew that Jacob and the pack would not be able to be involved this time. When Rosalie asked how to kill them, he knew that it was he turn to speak. "We will kill them just like we would a vampire. Rip them apart and burn them." Edward said as he wrapped his arms around Bella's waist. "Jake, you will have to keep the pack close to LaPush, but be careful, you can be infected." Edward said looking at him.

Bella looked around the room at the faces at most of her family. She felt as though her stomach had dropped until Edward spoke, he at least seemed to have some of idea of what they needed to do. Before she could reach her hands out to him he had his arms around her waist and a sense of comfort washed over her. She was almost unable to focus on what entirely he had said, about how they were similar to kill as vampires, since what he had said to Jacob brought a new worry over her. She looked to Jacob and her hand instantly went over her stomach and her other hand over her heart. Bella remembered when she had found out that Jacob was not a true werewolf in the sense of the word. Her eyes looked over him, the sudden fear of what may happen to him beginning to sink in. She brought her arms so that her hands were clinging tightly to Edwards’ arms as they were wrapped around her. Bella thought for a few moments of what to say to Jacob, but at the same time knew that if she said anything too heartfelt he would play it off and probably end up making a joke or ruffling her hair. Neither of those sounded appealing at the moment so instead she closed her mouth and smiled at him the best she could. So much of her had been hoping that Jacob would be able to help, that she had completely forgotten about the risks. A small part of her was thankful that he would not be able to involve himself, but the reason as to why was enough to crush that hopefulness that he would be alright.

Carlisle got the text, as he had a bad feeling as to what the meeting might be about. Either way he took off from work early to get to the household to see what the commotion was all about. He drove him in record time to find and sense that everyone was there except him. He spirited out of the car and then flitted into house to find everyone inside. Carlisle didn't make any comments but only waited for someone to fill him on what was going on. As he raised his phone up to show he had just gotten the text. "Alice, what is going on?"

Rosalie listened to Edward explain about how to kill them and she was relieved. They knew how to deal with others of their own kind, after all they had been in enough fights with them. Rosalie knew that her family was strong enough to deal with what was coming. When Edward said that the pack could not help, Rosalie almost smiled, but she did not. It had been a long time since the Cullen's had fought without the pack with them. It would be interesting to see them stand alone again. She knew that they should call on the rest of the family for help though. "Edward, are we going to be enough, or should we call the rest of the family for help?" She said to him just as Carlisle walked into the room.

Maden had stayed in his room for weeks, avoiding even the halloween party. Now he couldnt ignore everything anymore as he could hear the family gather downstairs and their worried voices was loud enough for Madens sensitive ears to pick it up. He went to the mirror and glared, the boy he saw wasnt really a boy anymore, but soon to be a young man. Maden shook his head and knew he was growing fast, but it still surprised him whenever he hadnt looked into a mirror for months.
He walked down the stairs and found everyone one in the family there, except the newest members as Arkan and Raine. But he guessed this was only for the ones with the Cullen name. Maden had asked Raine once why she and Arkan didnt carry the Cullen name, and she had said that it was Arkans decision, and that Raine didnt understand it either. Either way Maden looked around at everyone and could see the worry in their faces. "Okay, what horror lies upon our heads now?" Maden said and walked over to his parents, knowing that his mom would notice that he had grown alot lately. There was allways something bad going on here and Maden had allways run away when it came, but now he was strong and old enough to help out, and so he wanted to.

Rosalie watched as her son appeared at the top of the stairs and walked down. She had not even realized that he was in the house, but she knew that he deserved to be there after all he was a Cullen and her son. She noticed that he was growing again and turning into a handsome young man. He would soon be fully grown and she would not have her little boy, but and man for a son. She was not sure how she felt about that. She did not know how Bella did it with Nessie all those years ago.
When Maden spoke of joining the fight, Rosalie instantly looked to Emmett for assistance in that field. Was Maden old enough and experienced enough to fight against a true warewolf. Rosalie was not sure that would be a good idea but she would leave that decision but to his father and Uncle's. She knew that she would not have to worry about him, but he was her son and that was not a possiblity. "Maden, I did not realize that you were in the house, son." She said to him as she reached out to him and pulled him close to her and his father. "We have a werewolf that is treatening our way of live here in Folks." Rosalie said to him, feeling him in on the short version.

Alice sighed deeply and looked around to her family, knowing that this was going to be one of the most difficult things that they had ever faced. Carlisle and Maden had arrived and were wondering what was going on, but Rosalie answered that question before she could. Instead, Alice stood quietly in the corner and wrung her hands back and forth in deep concentration. Every part of her family was important to her, including the Wolf Pack that had joined them the moment Renesmee was born thirty years ago. She shook her head adamantly. "No, the Wolf Pack cannot fight," she declared. "If they do, then..." she paused as a vision hit her full force. When she came out of it, she kept shaking her head.
"Certain death will come for one or more of the Pack members if they fight Jake," she said, looking at her nephew pleadingly. Taking a deep breath, she paused again for another vision as it hit her. The red-headed wolf woman had not made any certain decisions about her attack of the family, so her vision kept changing. "The woman hasn't made a definite plan, but the one she's on now leads a fight between us, her, and some new child of the moon she's created recently." Alice paced back and forth, looking at each of the faces in her family. This was something they would have to all face together. Looking at Maden, she had another vision. She was horrified and startled as she came out of it. Glancing to Rosalie, she lowered her voice. "He cannot fight either," she said, looking to Maden and then Rose once again. "I don't see any good coming of that situation."

Maden smiled to his mom and hugged her, and also saw the worry in her eyes. "A werewolf? a normal one like the La Push ones or a child of the moon? They should be pretty hard to kill, but can be, in the same way as vampires are killed." Maden asked. Raine had come to him in the mountains and told him stories from her past life. And one of the stories had contained the memory of her meeting with a child of the moon, and she had barely made it out of the fight with it. A shiver went down Madens spine about the very detailed story. Then his aunt Alice looked at him and he knew she had a vision. " I want to help, i cant stay here knowing all of you might be torn apart." Maden said in a irritated and angry voice. He was allmost fully grown now and had a great part of vampiric strenght, not as much but it would do. Maden stepped away from his parents and backed away from the family. If he couldnt help with that he might as well leave. "If your going to fight this without me i might as well go back up in the mountains. But atleast take someone with you in the fight that has fought a child of the moon before, i dont say she defeated it, but she knows them. Raine has traveled alot, and she told me she had met a child of the moon, it allmost killed her. And i know this since she was the only one who cared to go up in the mountains and look for me." Maden yelled knowing he had promised Raine never to tell them anything about it, but he felt like he had to. Tears started to roll down his cheeks as he turned around and ran up the stairs. Why couldnt they let him fight, they would protect him if anything happend. He got his back pack and threw some clothes in it and then opened his window and jumped down. He saw the family in the living room through the windows facing the garden and then turned around and ran to Raines house, letting her know where he was going and then ran to the mountains.

Rose listened to Alice talk about the visions and knew that she was right about the wolves not fighting. However when Alice said that Maden could not fight, and Maden got upset that set Rose off. She would not lose her son because Alice did not want him to be a part of their family. He was her son and that was it. "Maden is a part of this family and if he wants to fight, then he is old enough to make that decision. He is more than capable of helping us with this fight. Even if he is only half vampire, he is still just a durable as we are." Rosalie said in her old tone and with her arm protectively around her son. Rosalie looked up at Emmett for help with defending their son. She would not let him leave again.
Rosalie thought about everything that Maden had said and she agreed with him also. "If Raine can help us defeat this woman then she and Arkan should be a part of the fight as well. We need all the help from the vampires that we know and you need to stop excluding them from the family. They may not carry the family name but they are still family." Rosalie yelled at her sister. She knew that she was getting loud but she did not care.
Rosalie watched in horror as her son stormed off and left the house again. She knew that he would not come back unless she or Emmett went after him. Rosalie turned to Emmett and looked into his eyes. "Emmett, I am not going to lose our son again and I am going to go after him. Are you coming with me?" Rosalie turned and ran out of the house after Maden.

Alice knew that Rosalie had never dealt with the truth all that well, especially when it came to visions, but she never expected Rosalie to outright yell at her. That was not something Alice was prepared to deal with, but nevertheless, it was Rosalie and almost anything was possible with her as far as mood and temperament goes. Looking back to her sister, she glared passively. "Rose, you know my visions are subjective and based on when people make decisions," she calmly stated. "And if Maden decides to join this fight, even though he is half-vampire, he will die. Do you really want to lose your son that way?" Alice hated how blunt she had to be with her delivery, but with her sister she knew she had to be in order to get through and make her understand.
Sighing, Alice looked over to Bella and Edward. Even though Alice never had a child herself, she didn't want her sister to lose her only son because of something as petty as keeping him in a fight he was certain to die in. Looking directly to her brother, she shook her head. Since when does Rose doubt my visions? I saw Maden's death if he chooses to fight, she thought to Edward. Alice knew that her visions had been off before, but they were back and just as powerful as before. Everything hinged on them now to tell her when and if something were going to happen to her family.

Bella closed her eyes, taking in everything that people had been saying for the past few moments. After what seemed to be an eternity she shook her head, feeling her world come to a dead hault as she opened her eyes and looked at Rosalie. "Rose," she spoke quietly as she turned to face her, "I know hearing something like that, your first reaction is to deny it." She crossed her arms over her stomach as she stood away from Edward, taking a few steps closer to Rosalie, "You waited so long to have a child,.. for a life that you thought was taken away from you. Don't let pride take it away from you," She put her hands in her back pockets. There was not a single person she would want to see be hurt in her family, but she also trusted Alice's visions if he decided to fight. " If Alice had told me the same thing about Renesmee, there's no way I would want to believe it. I would want her to be able to support the family that supports her. But the fact of the matter is, I don't think that's going to be possible. It isn't that we are trying to control what he does, we're trying to protect him. As his mother, you should do the same," Bella bit the inside of her cheek as she took a few steps back, hoping that she hadn't hurt Rosalie's feelings, this was a stressful time for everyone involved after all.

Emmett left his arms around Rosalie as he grinned at Jacob. As far as fighting went Emmett knew that Jacob hated waiting almost as much as he did. He focused back towards Alice as she explained the situation and what she along with others had discovered. Emmett felt the weight of the task of fighting a child of the moon, but then he felt his eyes light up at the prospect. He started grinning looking forward to the idea of another good fight.
Emmett did not bother to bite back the grin growing on his face as he knew his dimples became extremely evident. He nodded as his brother explained how they would be able to kill the children of the moon, and Emmett nodded. “Sounds like it is simple enough.” The family was then joined by others leaving Jasper as the only one who was not there. Emmett knew Jasper would have to be there soon, he was apart of the family and Jasper knew that he was needed.
Maden added to the conversation that he wanted to fight to the family and Emmett looked down at Rosalie when she looked up to him. He shrugged at Rosalie and looked at his son, “I do not know if I like the idea of you fighting Maden, something could happen.” Emmett also realized that he probably wasn’t the one to exactly tell Maden that fighting would be wrong because, he himself had no qualms with it what so ever. He listened in silence as Rosalie then went back and forth a bit with Alice.
Emmett felt himself get on edge about defending Rosalie, and the idea that his son would die. He did not want to entertain the idea of something happening to his son. Emmett opened his mouth to say something but suddenly he felt calmer. He grinned knowing that it meant Jasper was close by.
Emmett looked around to see Jasper walking in from the back area of the house. “You could have phrased that a little kinder Alice.” Emmett turned back to the conversation waiting for the discussion to continue.
