Aviary laughed as Cody recalled his accident in the store. Aviary could not believe she was falling for the boy sitting right in front of her. It seemed each time he talked, laughed, or smiled she would fall deeper and deeper in love, or at least if you could call it that. Aviary was not too sure what love was really like, but she was guessing that maybe this was love. Aviary’s eyes grew heavy but she pumped every last bit on energy into herself to stay awake, sleep was not going to ruin this prefect night, she was not ready to end things just yet.
“That’s a very unique and interesting story.” she said with a laugh. “I bet you felt better after that at least.” Aviary looked back up at Cody after playing with his hands some more. She tended to mess around with things when she was in deep though, or fairly content. “I have to say, that was never happened to Me.” she teased. After about a few more seconds of silence she kissed Cody, and finally gave up on her battle with sleep. “As much as I don’t want this night to end, I need to get some sleep. You can walk me to my car though, if you wish to stay with me a little longer. We can make plans to do something like this again.”

Holding in a chuckle, Cody knew that Aviary was right about feeling better after the incident. He had been relieved. But, he knew that it was acceptable for a five-year-old to do that kind of stuff as opposed to an adult who knew better. Although, it did make for an interesting story for his parents to use to embarrass him at any time during family reunions or whenever he had a girlfriend. Fortunately, he had already done the honors of sharing this with Aviary so his parents couldn't in the future. But then again, he wouldn't mind telling Aviary any of his stories because he felt so comfortable around her. This had never happened with any other girl, besides Emery, but that was only because he had been raised around her for most of his life.
Letting out a laugh as she teased him, Cody knew that this relationship was going to be different. He could feel that Aviary was one of the only girls he would ever find that truly got him for who he was. When her lips touched his, he couldn't help but cradle her face in his hands as she spoke after. He could tell that she was exhausted and did need some sleep. Giving her a small smile, he kissed her forehead. "Alright, how about I drive my car behind yours to make sure you make it home safe?" he offered. He knew that it was a cheesy move, but he did want to make sure she made it home, plus in a town as small as Forks he knew it was probably on the way to his house or not too far from it. "And I'll come pick you up for school tomorrow morning if you'd like."

Aviary Smiled at the thought of Cody driving behind her to make sure she did not fall asleep. She thought it was a nice gesture and really could not say no. “Of course you can do that.” she said grinning and looking back up at Cody. “And you can save me some gas by picking me up in the morning as well.” she added. Aviary got up from the table, her arms still interlocked in his. They left the diner, and headed back to the cars.
Aviary had not parked too far away from Cody, and she made an effort to point this out as well. “See even our cars want to be close to one another too.” Aviary laughed, she knew it was a corny joke, but it did not bother her all that much to tell it. As Aviary beeped her car to open, she gave Cody one last long kiss. When all was said and done, Aviary wished him good night and headed to her car. “don’t hit any wolves, I wont of course because I’m the better driver, but I’m not too sure about you.” she said smirking and then disappearing as she climbed into the driver’s seat.

Cody was relieved that Aviary didn't have a problem with him following her home. He knew that he felt better knowing she got home safe. As they left the diner, he couldn't help but smile as their arms were interlocked. When they got outside, Aviary pointed out that their cars were parked next to each other, an ironic twist of fate Cody assumed. "I guess we think a lot more alike than we thought," he replied before his lips were captive of hers. It was, by far, the best kiss of their night together and one to definitely end the evening on. As she disappeared into her car, he couldn't help but smirk as she teased him one last time.
Walking over to his truck, he climbed in and shut the door. Once he started it up, he followed her to her house before driving on to his own. Once he knew that Aviary was safe, all was right with the world. When he got home, he parked his truck and went inside to shower before finishing up some homework he neglected and climbed into bed. Thinking about Aviary for a while, he drifted off to sleep and dreamt that they were together once again. It had been the best day of his life thus far and he couldn't wait to see what the future held.
