Esme was sitting in here room waiting for Carlisle to come home, She was in need of a hunting trip, it had been a long while since Esme had gone hunting the visible purple bags under her eyes but she did not want to leave the house alone or at all. It seemed like every time she would leave something bad would happen and there would be a new crisis. Esme wanted to be there for everyone she hated to see them upset but she knew even mother's love could not repair the pain that her family was in it would not even come close to mending it. Esme was feeling useless, and she suspected Carlisle was feeling useless also.

Carlisle came in and could see the look in Esme's face and eyes and could see it in his own face as well. It had been awhile since they spent time alone. He wanted to take his wife on another hunting trip, just the two of them. With all that was going on, he always found it helpful for Esme and him to have some time alone to be able to put things into perspective. He went up from behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the cheek. "Love, I know this has been hard on the both of us that our family is going through this, but we can only take it all in stride. I think it is time we take another hunting trip, just you and me. I love you so much Esme and it pains me to see you like this."

Esme smelt Carlisle as he enter there room and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind she listen to he speak and turned around quickly place her arms around his neck and her head on his shoulder. "Carlisle,Jasper should have never left I miss him so much, So much as changed, Since we were younger, age wise I mean, back to went we came to forks, when Edward met Bella, When the got married. I want to have more happy time in our lives. Like the day Alicia was born" Esme Kissed him on the cheek lightly and sighed. "Do you really think this is the best time for us to get away?

He looked deeply into his wifes eyes. He held her face in hands and smiled and sighed some for her. He knew she would be taking it the hardest of all. She loved all of her children very much and for even one to leave was an impact like an asteriod to the very core of makes her such a loving mother. "No, this probably isn't the best time. Yet we should still step away for a little bit and feed, you look so hungry. I think we are both due for this, I am so sorry that I couldn't keep him from leaving, I have failed you in so many ways. I am just glad that you still continue to stand by my side."

Esme placed both hands on the side of Carlisle's face and looked into his eyes "Darling look at me please. You did not fail me not of this is your fail Jasper is a grown man he chose to come here and live with our family. He chose to leave no one forced him to he felt on his on accord. I don't think there is nothing we could have said to Jasper so much in his life has changed." Esme let go of Carlisle's face and took his hands in hers. "I think your right though I have been in need of ha hunt for a while it has been difficult going into town with all the humans around. Ans you know Darling Iwould never leave you, your everything I ever wanted and need."

Carlisle gently took a hold of Esme's face. He pulled her in gently and kissed her softly. And with that he gently rested his forehead against hers, he loved her so much. He knew he would be lost if Esme ever left him, he needed her, she was his all spark. Yet with all that was going on, he knew they both needed to take a short hunting trip, just they could be in a better frame of mind. "I love you so much Esme, you are my world, I could never be without you. But yes, we should get going soon, just so this can put things in a more clear perspective."

Esme smiled at Carlisle and walked over ot the bed and pulled out two already back suitcases from under it. " I have had these thing pack for a while know that we would have to get way soon." Esme said placing them both on the bead and walking back to Carlisle placing a hand on his cheek.
" I have been with you so long I always know when your planning to go away. Esme let her hand slip off his cheek and he threw her arms around his shoulders. She was beginning missing having him around just for her again. "Now we can spend some time together you and me without any interruptions hopefully. Esme pressed her lips against Carlisle's and kissed him passionately for a few moments before pulling away. " I have a lot of those saved up" she joked.

Carlisle smiled at that. He knew Esme was truly is other half. She knew him so well, and could predict him. He loved to have Esme in his embrace, he never wanted to let her go and any chance he had to hold her, he would wish that it could last for as long as possible. "I love you so much Esme. And yes, haha, you are right, I am that predictable. But I am glad to have you by my side always." He then cupped her face and kissed her back deeply and then pulled back. "Good, I am glad, because I am bringing plenty of these, we can trade them my love."

Esme Placed her hands on Carlisle face and stoked his cheek gently. "Well dear You do still surprise me often. And you know how much I love surprised. Esme looked into her husbands eyes and gently kissed his nose. "That sounds great, I just hope when we are gone everything goes fine. Esme sighted and stepped away from Carlisle. " Seeing Alicia born made me feel a little jealous and hit maybe me miss my son more then I have in a long time. It not just him I miss but I miss Jasper more everyday. I hope he realize how upset we almost be without him here Esme sat down on the bed and slipped on a pair of heals.

Carlisle could only let out a human sigh and wince. It was times like that he felt helpless and could only feel pain for Esme, as he could never give her a child that she deserved. He went over and sat behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He softly kissed her shoulder. He closed his eyes some and then opened them as he wanted to feel close to Esme in that moment, as he too was having a difficult time ever since Jasper had departed from the family. They had both lost one of their sons, as they loved all of their children.
"I am there with you love. When I helped to bring Alicia in this world, it made me think of you. It just sometimes makes me wish I could give you a child, I would even trade in my own life for you to have your son back. I wish I could have saved him too as I had saved you. As selfish as it may sound, I was going to let you decide whether you wanted to live or not, but was happy you chose this life with me. Yet it still makes me think of that, not being able to give you a child. And I miss Jasper too, I just hope is doing ok and is not doing anything that would provoke any uneeded attention."

Esme listen to all of what Carlisle had to say and nodded a little."Carlisle you gave me this family we have now, to me that has to be the best thing that has ever happen in my life as a vampire with you besides getting marries that is. We are fortunate to have children, grandchildren and now a great granddaughter not may people can live forever like we do and being able to see everyone happy one day will be great. Esme smiled and walked over to the beg picking up her purse and her suitcase, She blew Carlisle a kiss and and motioned him to Fallow. " Darling if we are going we better be living now. the longer we stay her the longer we will be putting off our alone time.

Carlisle nodded at that and smiled. He could never stop loving Esme, she was such a wonderful woman to him. He loved how she never resented him for the fact that he couldn't biologically give her children but loved him fofr the family he could give her in some way. He would never stop loving her, she was his match and the other half that completed and balanced him. He went over and grabbed a hold of her and kissed her deeply and then grabbed his bags. "Yeah, we should be going, we need to take advantage of all the alone time we can get. We have so much going on, we need to take advantage of this as well, come on let's go."

Esme instinctively dropped her bags and curled her arms around Carlisle’s neck as he kissed her. When he pulled away after a few moments and collected his things Esme was reminded of another reason that they needed the alone time. She picked up her bags with a faint smile as she was blasted by the memories of the good-bright moments when she and Carlisle had first been married. Yes things had been incredibly hard in the beginning, but they had smoothed out in the end and Esme was for certain it was because of the man in front of her.
Esme smiled as she picked her suitcase back up as Carlisle said, "Yeah, we should be going, we need to take advantage of all the alone time we can get. We have so much going on, we need to take advantage of this as well, come on let's go." She followed Carlisle and despite all of the heartbreak that had happened with the Jasper and Lexie fiasco; Esme had to believe that things would be alright. She had Carlisle and for her, that meant that things had to be alright, that everything would get back to the way it should be. Esme loved Carlisle and knew he was the rock in her life and with a sense of joy that had become rare in the Cullen house, Esme followed after Carlisle for the hunting trip. “I love you Carlisle.” Esme acknowledged that the words were far too simple for how she truly felt but for the time they were good enough.
