Bella watched in shock at the interaction happening before her. It had happened so quickly that she hadn't even managed to say goodbye to Rosalie. She took in a quick breath, not for physical purposes but to try and clear her mind so she could make sense of what was happening. With that bit of information that Meredith had given Rosalie, she knew that Rosalie and Jasper were just days, hours from finding his children. Though she was relieved that they would be well taken care of, it saddened her that they were frightened and crying in a corner. The thought made the corners of her mouth turn down into a frown as she thought about the fear that they must be experiencing and was hopeful that it wasn't due to Jasper unable to control his anger around Lexie in front of them. She shook the thought from her mind as she heard Meredith speak and gave a soft smile. It pleased her that the ability to have premonitions seemed to run in the family for her and Alice. After many long talks she had, Bella knew that Alice wanted two things that she felt she would never be able to obtain; a child, and a connection to her prior family. Not that the rest of the Cullens weren't enough family for her, it would just give her a sense of comfort, to be able to know where she had come from exactly.
Bella gave a small laugh as she thought about the people within her family that were gifted. "We are so lucky to have the gifts that we do within our family," She placed her hands in front of her lap gently, folding them. " Edward has the amazing ability to hear peoples thoughts," She smiled as she looked over at him, turning her gaze back to Meredith, " I'm sure you've noticed that by now. It's a very helpful gift, however frustrating it may be for the others in our family," She laughed quietly to herself, thankful that she was the exception to his rule. Bella looked up to Meredith to explain, " My ability is a shield of sorts, from others powers. Edward for example is incapable of hearing my thoughts," She reached down to take his hand into her own. "Aside from that my brother Jasper has the gift of being able to not only sense the emotions as someone is feeling them, but to be able to persuade them in a manner that he chooses. Our sister, Alice, has premonitions as well. Your gift is something that she would definitely be able to appreciate." Bella tightened her hand against Edwards', thrilled for Alice that she would finally have some sort of connection to her past. "And then there is our daughter Renesmee. Her power is more similar to Edwards, only she does not hear the thoughts, but places her own into our minds. Very frustrating if you're in a room alone with them during one of their conversations," She looked up giving a small smile as she took a few steps from Edward. She took a few graceful steps, standing behind a chair as she looked at Edward, Have you heard from Alice? I am afraid that Meredith may have a vision, figuring out her relation to us. I don't want to frighten her away. She smiled sweetly again as she turned to Meredith, "We are so pleased that you'll be joining us. Our family stays quite busy, and it's sometimes difficult for everyone to be in the same place at one time. I do apologize for the hectic craziness," She smiled as the small thought of her family, and how they were often busy in situations that called for defending one another, brought them all into such a close bond that there was nothing in the world that could tear it apart.

Meredith sat quietly and listened as Bella told of the amazing powers that resided in her and Edward's family. As she mentioned Edward's mind reading, Meredith giggled to herself and thought No wonder you thought I was insane earlier, knowing he would hear her now. She had always wondered if there were those kind of people that could hear your every thought and now she knew for sure that they did exist. Her interest was captivated as Bella continued through listing the powers in the family arsenal. Bella's shield was one she had never heard of, but was equally as fascinating. When Bella reached the explanation about her brother Jasper, Meredith was truly marvelled at someone who could change the mood of an entire room. That kind of power would be ever useful in keeping things peaceful. But the one that caught her attention the most was that of Bella and Edward's sister, Alice. Meredith wanted to know everything about Alice's power and if her visions were as troublesome as her own were sometimes. She wanted to know if she had had premonitions as a human so that she could test her theory as to why she had full-blown visions now as a vampire. There were so many questions flowing through Meredith that she could hardly keep up with them. "I would love to meet Alice sometime since our powers are so similar," she said.
She refocused to listen to Bella's explanation about her daughter's power. That truly caught her interest as Bella was clearly a vampire, as was Edward. She had never heard of vampires having children and was honestly curious. "I honestly don't mind the insanity most of the time," she replied, holding her hands in front of her body on her lap. "I am honestly curious though. You mentioned that Renesmee was your daughter. And I don't mean to be rude in asking this question at all. It's obvious that you are both vampires, so how is it possible that you have a child?"" She hoped that her question would not offend Edward or Bella in the slightest.

Edward laughed slightly as he caught Meredith's thoughts to him. He knew that she was used to her own powers but being around the Cullen's could be confusing. He watched as Bella continues to explain to her about the rest of their siblings. When Bella came to Alice, Edward could see the curiosity light up in Meredith. He could also see the interest in Nessie in her eyes. Edward knew that explaining Nessie would be interesting to say the least. After Bella finished, Edward knew that Meredith would have questions so he waited for them to come.
When she did ask her questions, he smiled and laughed lightly. "I am sure that you will meet Alice soon. She should be home any time now. As for our daughter, well that is a rather long story." Edward said to her as he looked at his wife. "As I told you, Bella and I were in love while she was human. Well the truth is that we were married while she was still a human." He took a break to think about how to word things. "We went on a honeymoon, like any newlywed couple, and well Bella had a list of things that she wanted to do before she joined me in this life. So we made love like any married couple, not knowing that a vampire male could get a human pregnant." Edward stopped there to let Meredith think about everything that he said.

Sitting quietly, Meredith turned her attention to Edward as he explained that she would meet Alice soon. The thought of meeting someone like herself excited Meredith. For as long as she had been in this life, she had always felt like a loner and outcast not only because of being a vampire, but because of her strange and unusual power. But now that she knew that others existed in her world that had just as strange and unique as her own, she suddenly did not feel as alone as she once did. Her mind was put at ease that she was not alone in the vegetarian lifestyle as well. That was something she had yet to find in her wandering from place to place. And now she found several vegetarian vampires that were a family.
As Edward explained how his and Bella's daughter came to be, Meredith was filled with a sense of awe that a vampire came to love a human and was able to be around her without killing her. "It must have taken remarkable self-control on your part Edward," she marvelled and turned to Bella. "And incredible strength for you to carry a baby that was half-vampire." She was suddenly filled with the knowledge that she had never loved another the way Bella and Edward loved each other. However, remembering Edward's power, she was mindful of her thoughts and just smiled at both of them.

Bella watched Edward as he explained the presence of Renesmee. She was certain that if she was still capable of blushing, she would have been as red as a tomato by now. By now she was used to the shock that people had about learning of Renesmee, of how a vampire had fallen in love with a human and was able to resist the urge to drink her blood during their intimate display of their love for eachother. Bella smiled as she looked over at Edward as she heard Meredith talk about his restraint, "Edward is one of a kind." She stared at him for a moment, still in just as much awe of him to this day as she was the first day she met him. " It was difficult, but I think more so for those around me. My mind was set," She thought quickly to Alice and Edward. She was sure that it was hardest for the two of them to watch her as her body weakened. She looked back up at Meredith, offering a small smile. "I'm sure the rest of our family will be just as excited to see you, especially our brother Jasper after the help you have given Rosalie," Bella smiled softly, pleased with the fact that she did not need the gift of premonition to be able to tell that Meredith would be welcomed by everyone in her family.

Meredith found it all so perplexing how one family of vampires could co-exist together for so long without a power struggle. In all of her wanderings, she had yet to find a single vampire capable of living with more than just a mate, if even that sometimes. Yet, she knew that these Cullens were different than most vampires just by their diet and refusal to hurt a human life. As Bella explained how it was more difficult for those around her while she was pregnant, Meredith thought of her own human mother. Meredith had been an only child, but would not have been had her mother not lost a tiny baby girl to stillbirth when Meredith was just six-years-old. Her human memories of that event were fuzzy, but she distinctly remembered burying her little sister named Macie. Shaking her mind of that memory, she glanced at Edward and hoped he would not have heard her memory. I have never told anyone that, she thought to him. Nor do I intend to because it was the worst human memory I have.
Brushing aside her human thoughts, she turned to what Bella had said. "I really hope that those two children from my vision are alright," she said, furrowing her eyebrows together. "If that is who your brother and sister are searching for, then I honestly hope that they find them soon." Meredith knew that whoever was holding those children captive was not going to make it out alive. Just from her brief meeting with Rosalie, she knew that she was a woman on a mission.

Edward was watching his wife as she spoke to Meredith about him and his restraint when she was human. He loved her more than anything in the world, he always had and he always would. "It was hard for us because we did not want to condemn her to this life. I tried to leave her to protect her, but that did not work out well at all." Edward said as he looked into Bella's eyes.
He turned to Meredith as her thoughts came to him and just nodded. When she mentioned Jasper and Rose, Edward knew that they would find the kids. "I have faith in my brother and sister that they will find the kids. I am worried about my sister though. She is not one to forgive. If the children have been harmed in any way, well Rose will not be happy." Edward said as he turned back to Bella. He knew that she would understand what he meant by that.

Bella lost a bit of her smile as memories of Edward leaving resurfaced in her mind. She could still that sting of abandonment whenever she thought about it too long, it was something of her human life that she would never be able to forget. However upset she got, she would only have to remind herself of the joy of having him back in her life, of the life that they had lead together. She laughed dryly as she thought of what would Rose was capable of if the children had been harmed, " You have helped them tremendously. If the children have been harmed, they will be safe soon. Besides, if that is the case, I don't think that children are the ones that we should worry about," She clasped her hand tightly around Edwards as she looked into eyes. She knew how badly he wanted to be there for Jasper and Rosalie, but it was important that they stay here and wait, just in case they needed to act from home. If Bella ever needed to count on Rosalie's anger, it would be now. Bella knew that if it had been Carlisle, or even ashamedly herself, she wasn't entirely sure she would have been capable of taking Lexie's life. However, considering the circumstances, she certainly understood and appreciated the act of impulse that would be required from Rosalie. Bella turned her attention back to Meredith, hoping to get off of a darker subject, "But enough of that, everything will be fine. Were there any other questions you might have? I can't imagine being alone all this time, and then being submerged into a lifestyle without having a flurry of questions." Bella held her hands tighter against Edwards, in all honesty she still had plenty of questions, things that caught her attention every day, but if there was some way she could help someone, to make a new friend to the Cullen family she would be more than happy to do so.

Jasper held onto his children as he sped out of the small city. He was more than anxious to get away from what he was certain would happen in the warehouse. Given Rosalie’s history Jasper would almost feel sorry for what was going to happen to Lexie. His regret lasted less then a second as he sped towards home. A home that would now be quickly on the mend now that everyone in the family would be back and under one roof. Getting out of the south was another thing that Jasper had been ready to do, being that close to his old life was something that had him on edge. It brought back too many memories that Jasper did not care to relive so instead he focused on what was in his future. His lovely children in his arms and the rest of his family that would be waiting for him in Forks. Jasper was running and just as he reached the house his phone buzzed in the back of his pocket.
Jasper stopped outside of the house to check and see the message from Rosalie. He noted that Rose had used her full name and apart of Jasper smiled and he noted that he would have to change his name as soon as he could. Jasper felt that no one was home and he ran a few circles to see if anyone was near by. He was not exactly under a time constraint but he knew whatever that Rosalie had to say would be important. Finally Jasper caught a scent of two familiar vampires and he scooped Eddie and Rosie into his arms and ran to the mountains. Without taking too much time to explain to his brother and sister, Jasper set his children down with a pat on the head each. Jasper’s gaze flickered to the unfamiliar vampire and he turned back to his brother, ‘Edward I have to go and meet Rosalie at the river, she needed to speak to me about something important. Watch Rosie and Eddie for me please.’ Without waiting for much of a reply Jasper nodded his head in greeting to Bella before leaving to meet Rosalie.

Edward was listening to Bella and Meredith talk when he heard his brothers thoughts come into range. He knew that he would be there soon. Edward was on his feet, when Jasper came in that dropped off the kids. Edward just nodded to Jasper as he turned to leave again. If Jasper was going to meet Rose, then she was safe. Edward went to Rosie and Eddie's side and put his arms over their shoulders. "Come children, let go upstairs and you can play in Maden's room. I am sure that he will not mind." Edward said as he let the twins upstairs. Edward would wait for Rose and Jasper to return before he asked what happened.
When Edward returned downstairs and took his seat, looked from Bella to Meredith. "Well, we can be sure that the children are safe and sound. I wonder by Rose was not with Jasper though. It is unusual to see the twins apart." Edward comment mostly to himself. He returned to conversation at hand after that. "So Meredith, that was our brother Jasper, and I am sure that you will actually get to meet him, when he returns with Rose." Edward said to Meredith as he looked at Bella. He was concerned for them now. "I hope that our family does not scare you with the way that we all come and go. We are a very close family, but we all have a job to do as part of the Royal family. We are all part of the family, not just Bella and I." Edward said hoping to reassure her.

Maden was in his room drawing as usual.
He had smelled his mother come and go fast again, and then his uncle Jasper who left again quickly.
Maden was happy that Jasper was home again, now he could play games with him and hunt with him again. Maden smiled when Edward came in with Rosie and Eddie and left again to go downstairs.
Maden found his old toys and gave it to the twins so they could play with it and went downstairs.
In the living room he found Bella and Edward together with a vampire Maden hadnt met before. He walked over to her and reaches out his hand for her to shake.
"Hello, my name is Maden DeRuby Cullen, im son of Emmett and Rosalie, well Rosalie is my stepmom. Its nice to meet you. " Maden said politely as he allways did.
Being polite was something that Maden was born to be.

"There aren't any other questions I can think of right now that I have," she replied to Bella. In truth, Meredith had found out most of her information about her own kind through her travels and observations of other vampires. "But if I think of any, I know who I can come ask." Meredith sat still when she caught the scent of another vampire she did not recognize, trying to figure out if it was friendly or not. But when Edward walked outside and brought in two children, Meredith knew that they were the children from her vision and that they were now safe. A faint smile spread across her face as she was happy that they were now home with their family who could take care of them. As Edward came back downstairs and explained that it was their brother who was outside, Meredith nodded her head. "People going in and out all of the time doesn't bother me so much," she explained. "I travel so much that it makes no difference to me when people come and go."
As Meredith continued to just sit there, another child appeared in the room. He appeared to be around the age of ten or so, but Meredith could catch the scent of vampire on him. She wondered if he were half-vampire like Bella and Edward's child. When he explained that he was Emmett and Rosalie's child, she smiled and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you Maden. I'm Meredith Brandon."
