Addison was so nervous to meet Bella. She had been assured that the queen of all vampires was actually quite sweet. The dilemma right then for Addy was whether or not to knock on the door. ‘You have been invited, and you have been waiting for a couple of decades now to show off your work. You can handle this Addison Sheppard.’ She gripped her book in her hands. It was the best of the histories that she had collected over the years wanting Bella to have the perfect idea of what would exactly go into the library. Addison took a deep breath to calm herself as she tried not to think of what was riding on what this conversation. Addy decided that she could no longer prolong the fate of her most beloved project and she knocked on the door. She chewed on her bottom lip as a habit from her human life as she waited for the door to be answered.

Bella had been busily fixing one of her many photo albums of Renesmee and the rest of the family; working on the one of Jacob and Renesmee's wedding. Seeing all of the pictures of her daughter with her best friend made her smile, knowing that Jacob would always protect her no matter what happened. He had proved that time and again throughout Renesmee's entire life. And now they had a little family of their own with their precious little one Alicia. Bella could not wait to fill an album with pictures of her granddaughter growing up. The thought crossed her mind about whether or not Jacob and Renesmee would have more children and she wondered if it were possible. Brushing that thought aside, she finished placing the last of the pictures into their places in the album before shutting it and putting it with the other albums on the shelf.
A knock at the door brought her out of her stupor. It had been a while since anyone really ever knocked at her door. Usually if it was family, they would just come right in. So, she knew that her visitor was not someone she was related to. Going to the door, she opened it to find a petite girl standing in front of her, no more than seventeen years of age physically, but had bright golden eyes. "Hello," she greeted politely. "I don't think I've ever met you. I'm Bella Cullen." She figured intoducing herself would be the polite thing to do first since the poor girl looked a little nervous.

Addison had been enjoying the scenery around her and it took her slightly off guard to hear someone great her. She turned back to the now open door to see a woman that she knew by her discription of the others of their kind. Addy was now facing Bella Cullen, and Addison could feel her sense of awe taking over. Realizing that Bella had introduced herself Addison shook the cobwebs from her head as she held out her free hand, "Oh I know who you are Mrs. Cullen. My name is Addison Sheppard." She also realized that Bella had made a comment about not knowing who she was Addison was quick to explain. "No we haven't met before but I have met your future brother in law, Evan. I was hoping that I could speak to you about something if you had a few moments to spare." Addy at that point was begging that she had not caught Bella at a bad time and praid to whoever was listening that Bella had just five minutes. She was convinced that it would only take that long for her to convice Bella that a vampire library would be a fantastic idea.

It always took Bella offguard when someone addressed her as Mrs. Cullen, aside from Edward that is. Bella smiled at the girl and admired that she had respect for the royal family. Although, she never really saw herself as anymore than another vampire, the entire family was well-known throughout the vampire community. "Oh please just call me Bella," she insisted as she held the door open for Addison to come inside her home. "Any friend of Evan's is a friend of mine. He has impeccable judge of good character." Bella hoped that by inviting Addison inside, it would put at ease any qualms she had about talking to her. Meeting authority figures was sometimes rather intimidating as Bella recalled her first meeting with the Volturi years ago while she was human. Even though the details were fuzzy, the feeling was still definitely crystal clear. She walked into the living room of her home. "So, you wanted to talk to me about something?" she asked, turning around to face her guest again.

Addison allowed herself a small smile and nodded as Bella insisted on being called Bella. Then Bella opened the door for Addy as an invitation to come in. Her excitement was beginning to bubble in her stomach as her dream library became closer to reality. Addy could feel herself beaming slightly when Bella said that any friend of Evan’s was a friend of hers, while saying that Evan had a good judge of character. ‘Oh my gosh! Addy breath it is okay, Bella used to be normal just like you; you can handle this.’ Following Bella into her home Addison felt the relaxed air and comfort of a welcoming home. Addison sighed to herself as she remembered a feeling similar to that from her human life.
Shaking away her thoughts was a tidal wave of excitement when Bella asked what Addison had come to talk about. She fought a squeal of excitement and tried to force herself to become calm as Addy nodded. “Yes Mrs. Cu…I mean Bella. I believe that history is a very important thing, and that’s one of the things I was studying as a human. I have only been a vampire for a couple of decades but I have put together books that I think could be very special to our kind.” A second later Addy realized that she needed to hand over the book in her arms to illustrate what she meant and Addison held out her life’s work to Bella. “It is supposed to be a sort of book of our kind.”

Bella took the book in her own hands as she ran her fingers over the cover, filtering through the pages before she looked back up at Addison with a soft smile. It was no secret that within the vampire world, their kind was often and easily distracted by things within their present, so looking back into their past for their kind was not something many newborns explored. She raised her eyebrow slightly, impressed by the work and dedication she had seemed to put into the pages that Bella held within her hands. A distant smile passed her lips as she remembered her first years as a newborn. Her fascination with the stories of their history and their kind from Carlisle were enough to capture her attention for more than just a few all night story telling sessions. Bella had to agree that the history of their kind was extremely important and something that should not be taken lightly considering the world that they lived in. “I am very impressed by your work,” She smiled brightly as she looked back up at the petite girl, hoping to put her nerves at ease. “I think that your idea is more than welcome. I can tell you’re very passionate about this,” Bella closed the cover of the book gently. She had to admit that she still felt a sense of shock whenever she met a vampire outside of the Cullen family who seemed to want to contribute something that they were passionate about to others of their kind. It always gave her a moment of curiosity, wondering what had led Addison to this sort of lifestyle, that even in their own kind was considered to be out of the normal. She blinked her eyes out of habit before she turned her attention back to Addison, offering a smile as a small apology for getting lost in her own thoughts, “ I would love to help you however I can. Let me get a hold of my husband so that we can discuss this with him as well, he will be more than thrilled to meet you,” Bella took the few steps to the living room to send Edward a text message.
Edward, please come home. We have a visitor that I would like you to meet. Love, Bella
Bella turned her attention back to Addison, “He should be home in just a few moments,” Bella laughed quietly to herself as she thought of the speed at which her husband was capable of traveling, much faster than any other in her family.

Edward was just coming back from a drive in the Aston Martin, when he received Bella's text. It had been so long since he drove any of the cars that he had decided to take a drive. He had just run up to Seattle and back. Edward was in a relaxed state of mind for the first time in a very long time. He parked the car in the garage at the main house as always and jumped the river on his way to their cottage. He jumped the wall to the private garden and entered the house through their bedroom.
As he walked into the living room he saw the girl sitting there. He walked over the Bella and pulled her into his arms and kissed her. "I have missed you today." He whispered to her."[/b] He turned around to introduce himself to the girl now. "Hello, I am Edward Cullen." He said to her as he extended his hand to shake. Edward was always friendly to those that came to visit the royal couple, though at times it was annoying to have to govern over all of their kind.

Bella still felt a sense of surprise whenever Edward kissed her, she gave a small laugh and smiled as she kissed him back before putting her head down as he whispered into her ear. She placed her hand on his chest and kissed his cheek before she stepped away. She held her hands around the book as Edward introduced himself to the beautiful petite girl. Bella glanced over at Edward. Unsure of how Addison was responding to Edwards' presence, she wasn't sure if her mind was in thoughts of awe or of her work. Either way as a show of courtesy Bella smiled and turned to Edward, " Addison has come with this book," She thought for a moment of introducing her properly, but wanted to give Addison the chance to do that for herself since Edward had introduce himself. Bella held it out to Edward slowly, " It's very impressive, a collection of sorts for the history of our kind," Bella turned her head over her shoulder for a moment, wondering where Carlisle was. She knew that he would have had an intense fascination with this.

Addison stopped breathing as she watched Bella go through the book Addy had brought. This book was a little different compared to some of the others, because it contained more than just the profiles of some vampires, it also had stories and legends. Addison could feel herself beaming at the praise Bella was bestowing. The library Addison had been dreaming about was becoming more real to her and she returned Bella’s smile with one of her own. Bella a few seconds later said that she was going to get her husband for Addison to speak to as well. Addy felt her jaw drop a little at the mention of Edward Cullen and she could feel herself only able to nod in response to Bella saying that Edward would be home soon. He must have been close to home because a few short moment later the king of vampires entered the door. Edward went across the room to greet his wife, before turning to face Addison. For a second she felt like a deer caught in the head lights and then she wondered whether or not she should curtsie or bow. Addy then finally remembered that through her collection of information that the king of her race could read thoughts. If it had been possible Addison would have been blushing from head to toe. Addison politely shook Edward’s hand and tried to salvage some of her pride, “Its nice to meet you sir. I am Addison Sheppard.”
Now that her embarassment was starting to wear off Addy was starting to slip back into complete awe of where she was and who else was in the room with her. ‘Just stay calm and don’t screw up.’ Addy thought to herself as she tried to remain calm. “Well um what I was just explaining to your wife was how important I believe history is. With the way that our kind is we have a lot of it.” Addison laughed a little nervously but continued on knowing there was no point in stopping. “I have spent most of my vampire life traveling and talking with other vampires. From the friendlier ones I have been able to collect their stories as it were, such as where they were born, their general history, powers, and other things about them. There have been others that have told me about legends of vampires and all sorts of amazing tales.”
Addison realized that she had begun to ramble and stopped herself with a little laugh, “I apologize I tend to get a little rambly when I talk about this stuff. Anyhow what I have done with all of this information I have collected the last two decades is turn it into books. I would like to humbly offer a vampire library where our kind can come and find out more of who is in the world with them. There are even some vampires that I have met that are looking for loved ones and I truly think that this could help them.” Addison realized that she was rambling again and stopped speaking so that they could digest what she had told them.

Edward listened as his wife spoke about the girl in their living room and the book that was in her hand. So this Addison was a collector of vampire history, that would be interesting to say the least. Edward laughed when Addison introduced herself and called him sir. Edward knew that he was over a century old, but he was still 17 in his heart and it was weird to be called that. "Please, Addison, call me Edward." He said to her as he listened to her ramble on about the library that she wanted. Edward thought that it would be a good idea, but he looked to Bella for her imput and of course he would talk it over with his father, Carlisle. Well, Addison, I think that it is an interesting idea, to have the history of our kind in one place." Edward said to her, but he could see flaws in the logic as well. "Bella love, What do you think of Addison's idea?" Edward said to her as he looked into her eyes. "I like the idea, but I would still like to think it over and talk to Carlisle about it before we make a decision." He said to Bella before she could answer his question.

Bella smiled at Addison as she spoke, adjusting to the way it still felt to have people be in just as much of awe as Edward as she was everyday. After she had finished speaking she turned her attention to Edward, pleased that he seemed to find it a good idea as well. "I certainly think it's something that she's passionate about," Bella gave a warm smile to Addison before she turned back to Edward, "However I do feel that there are certain things that need to be taken into account. For instance, those vampires who do not wish to be found, or someone using it for other motives," Bella gave a small nod as she thought that over, over how special cases, for example Renesmee, would certainly be within the library as well. Bella turned her attention back to Addison, "It shows great potential," Bella looked to Edward, almost positive that he would want to talk to Carlisle, especially considering that there were a few things that they would need to work out before anything would even begin to take off for the library, " Carlisle would be thrilled to hear about this, about what it could potentially mean, but we need to be careful about it's restrictions," Bella folded her hands back in front of her as she looked up at Edward, giving a soft smile, thrilled to have him at home again.

Addison was glad that when Edward spoke it wasn’t to call her an idiot for wasting her time with the books. He much as Bella had told Addy for her to call him by his first name. That was something else that had Addison amazed was Bella and Edward asked to be called by their first names. She could not help but think of the President and the First Lady and if she had ever met them they would not be as cool and ask Addy to call her by their first names. Addison returned her attention as Edward asked Bella what she thought and added his own opinion of the books. She nodded respectfully as she could as Edward explained that he would like to think it over and talk to his vampire father Carlisle before he made a decision. Addy laughed slightly nervously when Bella commented in response to Edward’s question, “Yes m’mam.”
A few seconds later Bella listed some of her concerns and as response Addy nodded that she understood what Bella meant. Not in the least meaning to argue in any way with Bella or Edward’s concern Addison spoke hoping to calm their concerns. “I always explained what the book was before I started to ask any question about their personal life, and it has always been completely optional.” Addy sighed ruefully then she moved her right sleeve to show a deep scar that disappeared behind her shirt, “As it turns out there were quite a few southern vampires that took offense just at my asking.” She remembered the day she received that scar well. She had been traveling in West Texas and had come across a small vampire bar. The female vampire Faith was not as friendly as the Cullens had been so far. Addison let go of her sleeve and focused back on addressing the concerns Bella mentioned.
“Something else that I have discussed with the people in my books is whether or not they would like to have me come up with a name that would replace their own. There are quite a few people that have chosen that option but I can tell you the true name of each person in the book.” That was something else Addison loved about being a vampire is the impeccable memory that had come with it, but the lack of ability to focus wasn’t as appreciated. Bella right after mentioned that talking to Carlisle would be best as would taking in all of the concerns and restrictions before a decision would be made. Addison nodded towards Bella and Edward that she completely understood that it would take some time to decide.
Addison did not miss the glance that Bella gave Edward as she bit back a smile that was something else that she had noted about the two. They truly loved each other and that was something that Addy had rarely seen in her travels including the other mates she had met. Deciding it was probably best to bow out as gracefully as possible Addy bit back another smile at observing the loving couple and would have blushed again as she remembered Edward’s gift. “Well you both have done more then I could expect in just taking the time to listen. Thank you for taking the time I really do appreciate it. Oh Evan also has my cell phone number if and when you would like to get in contact.”

Bella smiled warmly up at Addison as she listened to her explanation towards the restriction of the library. Bella narrowed her eyebrows momentarily as Addison mentioned replacing the names of the vampires mentioned within the stories. “ I think that would be a great place to start. However, our kind are impeccable when it comes to detail. It would not surprise me that if someone was using the library for the wrong reasons, that they would expect certain protections already be in place, causing them to look merely at the stories they find, and relate them to what they are looking in for, instead of doing a search of just a name, for instance,” Bella looked up at Edward, hoping that she had not offended him by it appearing as though she was speaking for the both of them, “ But to me, that would definitely be a starting place. After Edward talks to Carlisle, I’m sure the two of them can put together some idea that we would all be comfortable with,” Bella gave a quiet laugh as she looked back up at Edward. It never failed to amaze her how eager he was to find a solution to something whenever it would benefit others.
Bella took a few steps as Addison appeared to making her departure. “Believe me, it was our pleasure. Your work is extremely intriguing,” Bella smiled sweetly again before she looked back at Edward. This authority was something that they had never asked for, but it was at times like this that she could be somewhat thankful for it. She was impressed by the ambition that Addison had and was thankful that they could take part in whatever projects she may be entering. Though Addison had done all of the work, it was amazing to be able to see it put towards the motion of happening.

Edward listened to Addison and Bella. Edward knew that the idea was a good idea, but that it was a dangerous idea as well. He was glad that Bella seemed to realize that as well. "I agree with Bella, on this." Edward simply said as he continues to let Bella take the lead. He knew that they would talk to Carlisle and weigh the pro's and the con's of the library. Edward was already doing that. He knew that they would need a special person to run the library. Edward had an idea forming but he was not sure that she would do it. Edward had not spoken to her since before they left for England.
Edward watched as Addison made her departure. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Addison. We will talk with our father, soon and let you know something." Edward said to her as she left.
