Edward laughed as Bella flipped them putting him back on the bottom. He watched intently as she took of her shirt. Edward love the way that Bella looked naked. He would never get tired of seeing her that way. He could spend eternity with her, here in their room and never get tired of it. When she kissed him, he kissed her back with matched passion.
When she broke their kiss, he was not happy but would let it go for now. He smiled that crooked smile when she talked about returning to the Isle and swimming in the moonlight again. Edward's mind drifted back to that first night and the first time that he saw her for the first time without close. He knew that if his heart had be beating then, it would have surly stopped from her beauty. He was think of that when he heard her thought suddenly and knew that she had dropped her shield. As usually on the rare occasions that Bella allowed Edward to hear her, he could not controll himself. He grabbed her and pulled he into him, kissing her in a way that should have been illegal. He was in such a frenzy that he was not worried about the rest of their clothes and smiled to himself as he heard the fabric tear from around them.

A while later, Bella lay contentedly in Edward's arms. It had been far too long since they had been together and she knew that it would not be that long again. Lying her head on his shoulder, she looked up into his eyes and smiled. "Never let us go that long without our alone time again," she said, rolling over onto her stomach and putting her chin on his chest. Their skin tones matched perfectly, being the same pale alabaster color but absolutely perfect. Bella vaguely remembered the first time she saw the Cullens and wondered how they could be adopted and yet all share the same skin tone and look hauntingly alike. That was before she knew of vampires or werewolves; when life had been as simple as getting through every day of school unnoticed. Now, she was a part of that world and in love with the most perfect man known to existence. Far better than Romeo, her mind agreed.
"You know, I still remember the first time you ever spoke to me," she said, placing her hand on top of his chest and sighing. "Even though it's one of my human memories, I still remember exactly where I was and everything. It was biology class during my junior year...you had been gone for an entire week..." her words trailed off as she drifted into the memory of that day. She remembered sitting next to him and wondering where he had been for an entire week and then seeing his eyes...those beautiful, indescribable golden eyes.

Edward was laying on the bed with Bella in his arms, feeling content and almost wishing that he could sleep. Edward would love to sleep with Bella in his arms the way that she used to when she was human. Edward was thinking of the past when Bella's words brought him back. "We will never go that long again without our alone time. I promise, my love." Edward said kissing the top of her head on his chest.
Edward smiled down at her as she started talking about the first time that he spoke to her. He remembered that day better than she did, since he was a vampire already and had a perfect memory. "I remember it perfectly." He said to her. He remembered every minute of their life together and apart. "I was so curious about you that it over rode the thirst that I had for your blood. I knew that I should not talk to you but I could not help myself." He said as he kissed her lips this time. "I had to know you and I could not hear your thoughts. That was so very frustrating for me. It still is frustrating sometimes." Edward said as his kissed her lips softly again and smiled as her as he hugged her close to him again.

A small sigh escaped Bella's lips as she felt Edward's lips on her own. Even after thirty years of marriage, it still was indescribable to her how he kissed her, especially now that they were both vampires and on even ground physically. As a human, it had a dizzying effect on her that would make her head spin and her heart race every time. It was almost predictable how it would make her feel, but Edward had kept it very controlled then. Now...there was no holding back because there was no fear of hurting her. Listening to him, she moved her body so that she was lying on top of her husband and her chin was on his chest. "As frustrating as it is for you to not be able to hear my thoughts," she smirked, "I rather enjoy it. I'm the only one in this family that can keep any secrets, so if ever we wanted to spring something on you...I would be the only one to know." A tiny laugh errupted from her chest.
Deciding to take pity on him, Bella pushed her shield out from herself and allowed him into her thoughts. It was a memory mostly and a fuzzy one at that, but it was the first time Edward showed her the meadow. Bella remembered vaguely the details of that day, but what she remembered most was the feeling she had when she was there with him; complete and utter adoration of him, even as he showed her what he truly was. She had not feared him that day at all. In fact, it was the total opposite. When the memory was finished, she smiled at him. "You see...I've loved you a very long time Mr. Cullen and even if you can't hear my thoughts all the time, I want you to know."

Edward smiled at her as she commented on keeping secrets from him. Though is was true that he could not hear her thoughts, he could read her easily enough. "You may be able to hide your thoughts from me, but I can still read your face and eyes." He said smiling at her, knowing that she knew that he could read her and tell when she was hiding something from him.
When she lowered her shield and thought about the first time that he took her to the meadow, he smiled at her. When she spoke he kissed her lips. "I have loved you since the moment I first laid eyes on you in the cafeteria during lunch on your first day of school, Mrs. Cullen." He said to her, smiling. "I think that the battle was lost before we ever started fighting it. We are meant to be together, Bella. We both know that. We can not live without each other. We were made for each other." He said to her as his kissed her and knew that he would never let her go.

A sly smirk crossed Bella's lips when Edward said he could read her eyes and face. "As true as that might be," she retorted, "You don't know what I'm up to all the time..." Bella knew that he was also correct in saying that they were meant for each other. There was no one else in the entire world that she could have loved more than she loved Edward. From the minute she knew him, she had loved him despite what he was. In fact, his vampirism and willingness to put humanity first were some of the things that attracted her to him most. As he pulled her close for another kiss, she lowered her shield to give him another memory.
It was of their first few days together after her transformation, so her memories were strong and vivid. Among them were the first time they held their daughter together, their first night in the cottage, and her first hunt as well. They were miraged into one cohesive image in her mind that flowed from one thing to the next. Once they were done, she closed her shield and smiled at him. "We've had some interesting moments together," she murmured, pressing her forehead against his and feeling his breath against hers. It was sweet and laced with the scent of fresh blood, so she knew he had been hunting recently. "And many more to come. With a grandchild to spoil and our family growing, things are even more beautiful than I imagined them to be."

Edward smiled as Bella mentioned that he did not always know what she was up to. He knew that her ability to block him was the one thing that he hated and loved about her at the same time. Though he wished that he could hear her like he did everyone else. He also knew that her silence was what drew him to her in the first place. She never failed to surprise him in her reactions to things. "I know that you and hide things from me and it drives me crazy at times. However, I know that at times it is called for." Edward said to her.
When her memories started to play in his head again, he had to fight himself. He always wanted to attack her when she let him into her mind. He love and emotions that he felt from her thoughts were overpowering to him. When the memories stopped and she smiled at he, Edward smiled back trying to calm himself. "We have had more than our share of interesting moments, that neither of us expected." Edward said in responce to her. He knew he had been given a great gift in her. Edward listened to her talk about their family and his mind drifted to Nessie and Alicia. The two most wonderful gifts that Bella could have ever given him. She had blessed him with their child, and now that child had given them a grandchild. He had never thought the first was possible, much less the second.

Bella averted her eyes for a moment, thinking about how much she and Edward had been blessed with over the last thirty years. Through their marriage, she had joined her beloved Cullen family and sealed that with her transformation a month later. Their daughter brought about the change and gave them all joy that none of them could describe. Watching her little one grow up so fast right in front of her eyes made Bella appreciate the small things, like reading to her at night and brushing her stunning bronze curls. They had thirty years with their daughter and now, it was Jacob's turn. And now they had a beautiful granddaughter that they adored with all of their hearts.
"Edward," she said, rolling off of him and to her side before propping her head up. "Do you ever think about what would have happened had I not moved to Forks all those years ago?" It was an honest question that she had considered a few times throughout their years together. What she had learned was both her destiny and future happiness had been sealed by her decision to move in with Charlie during her junior year of high school. Had she not, she would have never met Edward or become intwined in this mystical world of vampires and werewolves. She would have lived out her human life, wondering if something better was out there. With Edward...there was nothing else. He was everything.

Edward watched as Bella moved to her side and ask him if he had ever thought about what would have happened if she had not come to Forks. Edward thought back to that long ago day when she walked into his life and he ran to Alaska. "I did think about it once a long time ago." He said looking at her as he pushed him self up in the bed. "In those early days when I was trying to stay away from you. I thought about why you had come to Forks. Where you my own personal demon, come to torture me?" He laughed lightly as he smiled at her. Those first few weeks were the hardest of his life. "After I admitted to myself that I loved you, nothing else matter. I know that we were meant to be together. I think that fate had a plan for us all along. Though I tried to fight it." Edward said thinking back over the months that he spend away from her when he left her. He knew that was the wrong decision and the worst mistake he had ever made. Edward was still trying to make up for that mistake all those years ago. "To answer you question though, I don't think that it would have mattered. We were meant to be together and fate would have found away for us to meet. After were the most unlucky human around." Edward said with that crooked smile that she loved so much. He knew that she was his life. "Why are you wondering about that anyway? Are you regretting your decisions?" Edward asked with a hint of fear in his tone. He knew that she was his life, but also knew that he would let her go if that was what she wanted. Edward would always care more about her than himself.

Bella sat up on their bed and wrapped a white sheet around her body as she listened to Edward, nodding every once in a while as she agreed with him. Fate had brought them together to become the most starcrossed lovers since Romeo and Juliet. In fact, she was certain that their love story was far more complicated than Romeo and Juliet because of the simple fact that she had been a human falling in love with a vampire. It defied anything ever put into words by the great Shakespeare. Not even he had thought of something so complicated as two different species trying to love one another without one killing the other. Edward's self-control and love for her had been two of the most pertinent reasons he did not kill her as a human.
Gazing into the eyes of her husband, she smiled when he gave her one of his famous half-crooked smiles. Inching closer to him, she pulled his lips into a kiss and smiled back at him. "I would never regret my decisions," she said gently, but firmly. "I only wondered because I could not imagine my life without you, Nessie, Esme, Carlisle, Emmett, Rose, Jacob, or Alice." She smirked at the mention of her beloved, bubbly sister. Bella remembered when she was human and Alice would spend hours trying to give her makeovers, subjecting her to what Bella knew as "torture". Pulling his lips into another soft kiss, she looked into his eyes. "I love you too much to ever regret my decisions. I get to spend forever with you and that is what matters to me."

Edward smiled as Bella talked and kissed him. He kissed her back and pulled her closer to him. Edward could spend the rest of their lives in their bedroom with her and be perfectly happy. "I am glad that you don't regret your decision. I love you to much to let you go." He said kissing her again. He knew that the sun would be coming up soon and then they would have to return to the family for the meeting that was needed. Edward knew that things were going to be different soon. Edward knew that once things with Crystal and Lexie were taking care of, they could spend the time with their beloved daughter and granddaughter. "It will be dawn soon and we have so much to do during the daylight hours. I think that we have enough time for a little more balancing." He said to her smiling and pulling the sheet away from her. He grabbed her and pulled her to him completely. "I am so glad that you are not breakable anymore, and that I don't have to controll myself like I did when you were human." He whispered as he kissed down her neck.

A devilish smile spread across Bella's lips as the sheet around her disappeared and Edward suggested some more "balancing" before dawn. If either of them had their way, they would never leave their bedroom at all, but they knew their family would start to miss them if they were away for too long. A small gasp escaped her lips as he pulled her to him and began to kiss down her neck. She loved when he did that and lost all control with her. It was something she had desired more than any other physical thing while she was human. "I'm glad I'm not breakable too," she whispered, nuzzling against his neck. "Otherwise, I could not do this..." She pushed him against their bed and kissed his lips with all the pent up energy that she had been keeping inside. Breaking their kiss, she momentarily peered into his eyes and smiled. "I love you...with all that I am or have ever been."

Edward heard Bella's whispers as she leaned into him. He knew that they were made for each other and that their love would never die and never calm down. "I love you too, Mrs. Cullen." He said to her as he laid back in the bed with her in his arms. He knew that soon they would have to deal with the family but for now it was just them.
As the sun started to lighten the room, he looked down into her eyes. "Shall we go the the mansion an call the family meeting that we need to have?" He asked as he gently kissed her lips again. He knew that today was going to be a long day for them.

Seeing the sun rising into their room, she watched as the light cast a ray across Edward's perfect skin, making it glitter. Bella smiled happily at the sight of her husband in the sunlight, remembering some distant human memory of times when she saw him in the sunlight. However, there were stronger memories of just after her transformation when she saw how truly beautiful he was in the sunlight. Those were precious memories in Bella's mind, ones she would not forget for as long as she existed. Lying against his chest, she looked up into his eyes and sighed. "I really don't want to go right now," she said, pushing her head up onto her hands. "Besides, it's only just now sunrise. Nessie will not be awake for a little while longer and Jacob needs his sleep...patrols on top of being a new father are really draining him."
Bella sat up and drew her knees to her chest, resting her chin on top of one of them. "I think we forget how hard it is for them to be new parents because we never needed sleep when we had Renesmee," she reminded her husband. Thinking back on the time when Renesmee was a newborn, Bella remembered the sweet, curly-haired angel that would sleep all through the night before she was even a week old. "We had it so easy compared to Jake and Nessie," she mused. "Nessie was an easy baby, even if she did grow amazingly fast."

Edward was laying on the bed watching and listening to Bella. He knew that the others at the mansion would be awake as they never slept, but he knew that she was right about Nessie and Jacob. It was easy for him to forget that they needed sleep. "We can wait to go to the mansion and I know that your right about Nessie and Jacob." He said to her.
The mention of Nessie made Edward think back over their daughters life. He knew that Nessie was almost as strong as the rest of them and that she was just as indestructible as them. He also knew that even with all of that, she was never one to fight. Nessie was the calm one that would always try to find a way out of a fight. She did not like confrontation at all. "I am not sure that Nessie will want to know about what we are thinking about planning. Nessie has never like confrontation. I thought that having Alicia would have brought out the protective side of her, but I am not sure if she will ever be a fighter." Edward said to his wife as he thought about the first year of Nessie's life. He could understand her aversion to fighting, she was only a few month's old, though she looked and acted much older, when they stood against the Volturi to protect her life. "I think that having to deal with so much when she was younger affected her more than we can imagine." He said as he sat up and looked at Bella. "We will let them sleep and then we will see if they want to come to the meeting with the family. I am sure that Jake will want to be there, but I am not sure about our daughter." Edward said to her as he moved off the bed to go to the closet from some fresh clothes.
