It had been a few days since Alicia was born and Bella still could not believe that her daughter had given birth to a child of her own. Bella felt like it was only yesterday that she and Edward brought Renesmee into the world and now, their beautiful daughter was married and a new mother herself. Her heart tugged as she sat on the end of her and Edward's bed, staring at a picture from when Renesmee was around a year old, though she looked closer to five. Even though she knew that this was how life was supposed to progress, she still could not help but feel like part of her was missing. But, this was the normal way a mother was supposed to feel after her daughter married and started a family of her own. Bella knew her own mother Renee' had felt just like this whenever she married Edward.
Thinking about Edward, Bella pulled out her phone to see where he was. It had been a few days since they spent any alone time together, with the new baby taking up so much of everyone's time as they helped Jacob and Renesmee move into their new house and adjust to having a newborn. She sent a quick text message:
Where are you? I'm at home.
Bella
She sent the text message and went back to looking at the picture of her precious little girl. Renesmee was a miracle; her miracle, created out of the love she and Edward shared for one another.

Edward had decided to take a walk in woods to think through every thing that had happened recently and figure out where to go next. So much had happened since their return to Forks. Edward knew that as the leader, he and Bella would always have to shoulder things, but it just seemed like everything was happening at once in their lives. He and Bella had been through so much in their life together. Edward was on his way back to the cottage when he got Bella's text. He took off a full run thing and jumped the wall into the private garden of there room.
He saw her sitting on the bed looking at a picture and he walked over to her. He wrapped his arm around her and looked down at the picture as he sat on the bed next to her. "What are you thinking about? He asked her as his kissed the top of her head.

Bella caught Edward's scent before he even entered the garden and knew he was home. She smiled as he came inside and wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. It was one of the things that she adored most that he did. He had even done so while she was human, so it helped revive some of her most cherished human memories. Memories of special times with him, including her Prom junior year of high school, though she would never admit out loud to him that she somewhat, half-way enjoyed herself that night. Her memories distracted her only for a moment before she returned to the present and her ever adoring husband.
Setting down the picture of their daughter, she looked at him and smiled. "Oh nothing," she replied, sighing lightly. "Just thinking about the past and when Nessie was little." She paused and brought one hand to the side of Edward's perfect face. "I still remember the first time I saw her after my transformation...she was so perfect. And now she is all grown up with a little one of her own. Life is so...funny sometimes because it happens so fast." In Bella's mind, she saw flashes of her little girl growing up. That precious child with bouncing bronze curls and big brown eyes that could melt your heart. Now that funny little girl was an adult and Bella remained unchanged. It was an interesting thought, but not one uncommon to an immortal...especially Bella and Edward.

Edward sat beside his beautiful wife and listened to her talk about the past. He knew that with Alicia being born there was bound to be some feelings of Bella's that were going to be hard for her to deal with. He just wanted to be there for her and comfort her all that he could. "Bella love, we knew from the beginning that she would grow up, and we found out later with Nahuel that she is more like us than humans with it comes to her life span. I don't think that we have to worry to much about her. She is going to be a great mother, just like you. I know that we never expected the gift that we were given with her, but we have loved her and still love her. We will always be there for her, and she will always be in our lives."
Edward missed his little girl but at the same time knew that she had to start her own life and that is was his and Bella's time to be alone and enjoy each other as a married couple without children around the cottage. He also knew that they had plenty of children in the family now to keep them all busy with taking care of them. "I know that Nessie was the first child in this family, and for the longest time she was the only child, but now that is not the case any more. We have other children that need us now. It is not only our jobs as their Aunt and Uncle to watch over them but also as the royal couple to protect our family. That means all of it." Edward knew that with Will gone now, Crystal would be looking for revenge and that had him worried more than anything. He pulled Bella into his lap and looked into her beautiful golden eyes. "We have forever, love. We will always be together." He leaned down and kissed her lips with the most tender and loving of kisses.

Listening to Edward, Bella knew that he was right. They had known from the minute Renesmee was born that she was special. While she was their daughter, a part of her had always belonged with Jacob. They had been able to keep her for thirty years and Bella felt fortunate to have had their daughter for that long. Most mortal parents only keep their children for eighteen years before they leave. However, they were far from mortals. Immortal families worked differently as Bella quickly learned when she first met the Cullens and when she became a part of their intricate family after marrying Edward and giving birth to their daughter.
As Edward pulled her into his lap, she knew that he was also right that Renesmee was no longer the only child in the family that required their attention. Bella knew in her heart that they would have to take Rosie and Eddie from Lexie. "Edward, I don't know what to do as far as Jasper's kids," she said, looking back into his liquid topaz eyes. Those same eyes that had captured her attention so early in their relationship and that she loved dearly. "There is a part of me that wants to take them because Lexie has no business raising half-vampire children when she has no idea what the hell she is doing, but another part of me hesitates because of Alice. I don't know what she would think bringing the object of her pain close to her." Bella knew her sister and did not wish to cause her any pain by reminding her of the past.

Edward knew that Bella would always worry about their daughter, just as he would but knew that it was time for her to live her own life. As he sat there with Bella in his lap, he knew that they would make it together as well. When Bella mentioned Rosie and Eddie, Edward knew that she was right about Lexie raising them. "I am not sure exactly what the right course of action is at this point with reguards to the children, but I know that if Jasper were here, he would not want his children treated the way that she treats them. I think that we are going to have to do something. As for Alice, I know that she was hurt, but I don't think that she would want the children punished for something that is not their fault." Edward knew his twin and knew that she was not a mean person. Alice would never want any member of their family to be mistreated. Edward sat there on the bed thinking about what to do. He needed his brother here to make decision regarding the children, but as that was not an option, there was only one other thing to do. "I know that we are the royal couple and it is our decision to intervene to protect the secret. I think that we should put the decision up to a family vote and decide as a family. This is not only a decision to protect our way of life, but also to protect our family." Edward said to Bella as he leaned back on the bed, pulling her with him, so that she was laying on his chest.

Bella lay back onto Edward's chest and sighed deeply, thinking about all he had said. In her heart of hearts, she knew that Alice would never turn away a member of their family that was as innocent as Rosie and Eddie were. They were only children after all. It was difficult for her to even fathom Alice hating even one person. Her sister was incapable of hating anyone. Bella also knew that Rosie and Eddie did not need to be raised by their mother. They needed proper guidance from a loving vampire family, such as the Cullens. "Edward," she murmured softly, laying her hands on his chest. "I know that it needs to be a family decision, but I think that Rosie and Eddie need to be taken from Lexie regardless of what the family decides. They need a family that can love and guide them." Bella stopped talking momentarily and breathed deeply.
"And as much as I hate to admit this," she sighed deeply and laid her head on his chest. "I think that we need Jasper...now more than ever." Looking back into her husband's eyes, she continued to explain. "Things have just gone to hell since he left and I can't believe I'm saying this...but I miss our brother. I miss the Jasper that would keep things from going out of control emotionally and I miss the Jasper that made my best friend and sister smile for no reason other than he was there." Bella knew that Alice still loved Jasper to some degree and that there were feelings Alice was not facing. It was one thing heavily weighing on Bella's already heavy heart.

Edward laid with Bella on his chest and listened as she talked. He knew that she was right about taking the kids from Lexie and that they needed Jasper there. It was hard from any of them to admit but Jasper was an important part of their family. Edward knew that no matter what had happened Jasper would always be a part of the family and they needed him. Edward was strongly thinking about going after Jasper, but he didn't know where his brother was. "You are right about Rosie and Eddie needing to be with the family and raised right. I have already considered that myself. I know that we will have to act soon and deal with Lexie." Edward was not one to go looking for a conflict but it seemed like conflict always managed to find them.
Edward thought about his brother more and then looked at his beautiful wife. "I miss Jasper just as much as you do, love. I am not sure what the right thing is to do there. I know that Rose would be happy for him to come home, but I am not sure that she will ever forgive him. As for the kids, well I think that he would want us to do what was best for them." Edward paused again and closed his eyes. He knew that Jasper leaving was the worst thing that had ever happened to his family. "I want to go and find Jasper, but I know that if he wanted us to find him, he would not have ran like he did." Edward said as he pulled Bella closer and kissed the top of her head.

Bella sighed again, trying to decide what was the best course of actions for the entire family. Her heart told her that they needed to get Rosie and Eddie away from Lexie as soon as possible, but it was going to be a delicate situation with the kids still being young. And then the issue of Jasper was an entirely different thing she was dealing with. Resting her chin on Edward's chest, she listened intently as he spoke about their predicament and Jasper. While she agreed with him that they would do what was best for the kids, she didn't think it was a good idea to go find Jasper. "I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for Jasper," she said softly. "And I think that Evan might know something that the rest of us doesn't. He's been acting strange ever since he got back from some little trip he went on." In her mind, Bella was thinking about asking Evan where he went exactly. She also knew that he had told Alice, just by the way she was acting as of late. "Edward, what if something is wrong with Jasper and he doesn't know how to get a message out for help?" It was a haunting thought and one she did not wish to think about, but it needed to be explored.

Edward heard Bella mention Evan and knew instantly that she was on to something. Edward had wondered why Evan had been avoiding him lately and now it made sense. Evan knew that Edward could hear his thought's. If you wanted to hide something from Edward, you had to either always be thinking about something else or to avoid him. When Bella mentioned that Alice knew to, it all made perfect sense. "I think you are right about this and I think that they know where Jasper is. However, I think that if it was really bad Alice would not keep it from us. Alice would never risk something truly terrible happening to Jasper. We have to trust that if she felt like things were that bad, she would tell us." Edward said to Bella. Edward had perfect faith in his twin and would always trust her judgement. Edward knew that when Alice felt that the time was right she could tell the family what she knew. "I think the kids are the first concern for right now." Edward said to her and thought of a subject change.
He pulled her up to where he was looking into her eyes again. With a quick movement of his hips, he rolled them to where his was on top of her. He smiled that crooked smile that he knew would melt her heart and make her forget about everything else. "I think that the most important thing at this very moment is that we are all alone in our cottage." He leaned down and kissed her, full on the mouth. He then moved to kissing up and down her chin to her neck and back. Edward knew that this was the first time in a really long time that they had been alone and his was tired of talking about the family and what needed to be done. For the rest of the night, he was only going to think about her and making her happy.

Bella's thoughts dwelled on Jasper, the kids, and Lexie for a few moments longer. She knew that Edward was right in saying that Alice would not keep anything from them that would put Jasper in danger. Even if they were divorced, she still cared about Jasper on some level that she kept to herself. Bella knew her sister all too well. In her mind, she agreed that their priority right then was the kids. Rosie and Eddie needed to be taken from their mother. That was a simple fact of life that no one could ignore. Half-vampire children needed to be raised by vampire families, not humans pretending to know what was going on.
However, her attention was almost immediately averted when Edward flipped her over and gave her that crooked smile of his. "We are all alone...for the first time in a long time," she agreed seductively. "No kids, no family members, and no crazy ex-family members." She smiled as Edward kissed her lips, neck, and back. It had been ages since they were alone and she had missed her husband. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulled him closer to her. "I've missed you," she murmured, looking into his beautiful golden eyes.

Edward smiled as he heard Bella respond to him. He knew that he could still melt her heart with his smile and take her mind off anything. Edward had missed their time alone together and he was not going to waste anymore time talking about the family. It could wait for the morning. He knew that they had lost their balance lately, and he was determined to find it again. The day time was their time to worry about the family and the tasks of the Royal Couple and the night was their time to just be a married couple that loved each other more than life. "I' ve missed you too." He said to her, as he felt her arm wrap around him.
Edward pulled her closer and moved back to kissing her lips. He had missed this more than he thought. As he kissed her, his mind returned the their early years and the nights that they had spend together just making love. He knew that these feeling would never fade for them. Though they were not like Rose and Emmett, and did not destroy things, their passion was still just as strong. Edward would never get tired of his nights with Bella. "We had all night to remember each other and renew that balance that we need more than ever now." He said as he slip out of his shirt. He knew from the few time that Bella had allowed him to hear her thoughts that she loved to he him shirtless. He never had to worry that she did not love him. Time and immortality had proven that long ago. He also knew that she knew how much he loved and adored her. "Bella love, I think that we should take a vacation and return to Isle Esme and the white room with the feather pillows." He said smiling as he bent to kiss down her neck and unbutton her shirt.

Sighing deeply, Bella knew that Edward could make all the problems of the world disappear for a short while, especially since he was her husband and love of her existence. Even the worst problems or situations did not seem that bad when he was around her. A mischievious smile spread across her lips as Edward took off his shirt. Seeing his perfectly sculpted chest and abdomen made her want him even more. Thirty years of marriage had done nothing to squish that passion that they felt for one another. She still loved him as much as, if not more, than when they first fell in love all those years ago at Forks High School when she moved from Phoenix to Forks.
Another smirk crossed her lips as Edward mentioned going back to Isle Esme, which was their honeymoon destination right after their wedding. Bella's dim human memories still remained of that place and particularly the white room where she and Edward consummated their marriage for the first time and where their daughter was conceived. As he kissed her neck and began to unbutton her shirt, she whispered seductively in his ear, "I would love to go back there. Perhaps we can find a few pillows to destroy...just for old time's sake."

Edward smiled to himself as Bella mentioned the pillows. He would never forget that first night and how nervious he was. Edward had been so afraid that he would hurt her or even kill her that he had almost called it off. Edward still was not sure as to why he had bit the pillow's in the first place, but he was glad that it was not Bella that he had bitten. "I am sure that we could find a few pillows, but it would not be quite the same now. We are equal and well practiced. Then we were far from equal and neither of us knew what we were doing." Edward whispered into her ear as he nibbled as her ear lobe before moving back down her neck.

Bella smirked as Edward commented on their equality as compared to when they were first married. A happy sigh left her lips as he nibbled on her ear and returned to kissing her neck. Her heart would have been racing if she were still human, but the fact that her heart no longer beat was the only thing separating it from doing so. Her smirk drew across her lips as she raised her eyebrow mischieviously. Less than a second later, she flipped him over to where she was on top. She finished unbuttoning her shirt and discarded it on the floor next to their bed. Her lips repossessed his less than a second later in a fiery passion.
Her hands found the sides of his perfect face as she pressed her body closer to his. When she broke their kiss, she looked deeply into his butterscotch eyes and felt his breath against her lips. "Well, if not the pillows...I'm sure we could find something that would be entertaining," she said, raising her eyebrows up and down. "Maybe even go swimming in the moonlight since I won't ever get cold anymore." That was an idea that Bella liked the sound of the more she thought about it. Remembering the faint vision of their honeymoon, she knew it was the first time they had ever seen one another completely nude. That was a special memory for her. Deflecting her shield, she decided to allow Edward to see the dim human memory to remind him as well of how special that moment had been.
