It had been a couple of days since Rosalie's return to forks. She had spent most of that week with Jasper, trying to help him through everything. She knew that she was neglecting Emmett, but she hoped that he understood. She knew that Jasper was in a very fragile state of mind at the moment and needed his twin with him. Rosalie knew that she needed time with Emmett but she was not even sure of where he was. She had not seen Emmett for a while.
Rosalie had talked Jasper into going hunting so he was gone for a while. Rosalie went to their room and laid across the bed. She closed her eyes and pretended to sleep, of course vampires can not sleep, but it was relaxing to pretend. She knew that when Jasper returned she would be there for him to help him deal with this difficult time.
Rosalie was thinking back over what she had done in Baja. She had not told anyone the details of what happened. Rosalie had not really seen the family yet either. She knew that they would be wondering about her eyes. Rosalie had never spilled human blood and she was not about the start. She figured that the family should have known that about her. Rosalie started replaying the scene of Lexie's final hours in her head. She could not get that confession out of her mind.

It's been forever since Emmett had seen Rosalie. He knew where she was and for what thanks to Edward for telling him when he returned from after, trying, to hunt down Lexie--but it wasn't successful like he thought he would. Only Edward knows where he has been since he saw it in his head and what he was thinking. If only he could call Rosalie and find out where she is so that he doesn't have to worry about her. Emmett knows that Rosalie can handle herself but he can't help it by being protective over her, it's something that he can't help it since he's married to her and loves her dearly--even the family.
Emmett was in the garage, adding new speakers in his jeep just for the hell of it when he smelled Rosalie's scent in the house. A smile formed on his face and left the garage in a hurry, forgetting the fact that the speakers weren't installed right in his jeep. He was just to egar to see her after days. Emmett went to his and her bedroom and opened the door, seeing Rosalie on their bed, laying down with closed eyes. He felt like he could stare at her whole day without getting tired of it. Rosalie's blonde curls were perfectly laid next to her, like it was done by someone else, and her make-up just glowed on her face, and her lips were peachy and just natural where he could just kiss her--her outfit was something that she would wear but he didn't care about what she was because she looks great in everything.
He crossed the room and was next to Rosalie less than one second and had her in his arms the next. He held her like she was precious and like a child. Emmett kissed her tenderly and looked at her. "Did I bother you?" He whispered as he laid on their bed with Rosalie on top of him and looked at her. "I missed you, promise me that you won't leave like that ever again." He didn't want her to leave like that ever again and scare him.

Rosalie was laying on the bed relaxing when she caught Emmett's smile. She knew that he would be in the room in just a few seconds, but she did not move. She waited for him and when she felt him lift her up, she smiled. She felt his lips touch hers and it was perfect in that moment. She heard him whisper to her as he laid down and pulled her on top of him. "No, you did not bother me." She kissed him again as he continued to talk. "I have missed you too, but I can not promise that I will not leave again. I will promise to let you know next time though." Rosalie said to him as she looked into his eyes.
Rosalie laid her head on his chest and breathed in his scent deeply. She had missed him and wanted to be here with him. She was surprised that he had not asked her about what happened yet. She knew Emmett and knew that he would want all the details.

Despite the fact that he's making Rosalie make a promise to him, he should be the one that should make a promise to her. He's always leaving for something, which he knows that Rosalie gets worried about him. Though what really worried him was his own son that he hadn't seen for long time and doesn't know what he's up to. After he's done with his time with Rosalie he's going to go and spend some time with Maden. In the mean time, he's only going to keep his focus in his wife and just concentrate on her and no one else--no one is in the house only two of them which is great for both of them.
To him, Rosalie comes first when they're alone then anything else that isn't important. If he isn't with Rosalie, spending time alone, his family comes first then anything else. He has a duty that is to protect his family from any kind of danger. Crystal was still out there, planning something against them and the wolves, but he knows that he's ready to kill his sister off, even though it would be hard for him to do it. Emmett had already broke the relationship with her when she chose Will over him and the family and since then he hasn't talked to her in friendly voice at all and doesn't want her to come close to him or anyone in his family--she only leaves the family in pain.
Hearing Rosalie talk how he didn't bother her, it made him smile as he placed his hands on either side of her face. Emmett looked at Rosalie into her eyes, seeing nothing but love for him and something that was there--hidden--that doesn't want to talked about. He needs to know what happened when she and Jasper went to find Lexie but the main question was--are the kids safe? The twins were great part of Cullens' life and everyone loved them dearly. "You're hiding something from me. I can't tell what you're hiding but from looking at your eyes..." Emmett looked deeper into her eyes trying to find something but he didn't. "Something happened. Want to tell me?" He whispered to her not wanting to say anything loud or in his normal voice.

Rose looked into Emmett's eyes when he put his hands on her face and looked into hers. She knew that he would see that she was hiding something from him. He knew her to well and could look into she soul. Rose knew that she was going to have to tell him what happened in Baja. She was not sure how he was going to take it. "I am hiding something from you, love. I was not going to say anything until Jasper was ready to tell the whole family. However, I can not keep it from you." Rose said to him as she looked down at him.
Rose thought about how to tell him what Lexie said before she killed her. Rose took a deep breath and started. "Lexie told me right before I killed her that Jasper was not the father of the twins." Rose said to him in a rushed voice. She knew that he would want the whole story after that, but she was going to let that statement sink in first.

Emmett waited for Rosalie tell him what's on her mind--his mind was going crazy with thoughts that he shouldn't be thinking in the first place. Though his thoughts weren't that crazy as some other husbands when their wives tries to hid something from them that is bad for their relation. He had opened his mouth to talk but nothing came out and closed it once Rosalie started talking. Listening to her talk what happen and what she was hiding from him--his anger was rising in bad way. He never had felt like that with Rosalie before and hearing that Lexie told everyone that Jasper was the father of the twins made twice as bad. Emmett really wished he would be the person that killed Lexie off but at the same time he would rather be there to support Rosalie and watch her being old Rosalie once again. He really misses that but this, new, Rosalie was more better than the last and cared about everyone.
He tried to calm down as much as possile before he talked to her but there was still anger in hsi voice. "How could you not tell me once you finished her off? Rosalie, this is huge for the family to handle, what is everyone going to say and react?" Emmett cupped his left hand under Rosalie's chin, while the other one wrapped around Rosalie to keep him calm.

Rosalie watched as Emmett's anger to hold of his. She knew that he was going to be upset, first about her not telling and second about Lexie lying to the family. When Emmett asked her why she had not told him already, she looked into his eyes. "Emmett, I told Jasper first, because it was about him. As for telling the rest of the family, Jasper will do that in his time. Jasper is still struggling to deal with the news, himself. I did not feel like this was news that should be shared over the phone. We both know that you have not been around a lot lately, but then neither have I." She said as she continued to stare into him eyes.
Rosalie knew that with Jasper being home now things would fall back into place like they should be. "We have a lot of decisions to make, but Jasper has the hardest one to make. He needs my help and support. He is my twin after all." Rosalie said as she leaned down to kiss Emmett with enough passion that she could have set the house on fire.
