Evan paced back and forth in the Cullen mansion, trying to decide what to do; or rather, what would be the right thing to do. He had returned from Florida with a lot on his mind about Jasper and most of all, about Alice. From the way the doctors acted about Jasper and then Jasper's own reactions when Evan had spoke with him, Evan knew that something was not right down there. There was a reason that those psycho doctors, if they were even really doctors, were keeping Jasper sedated and running hundreds of tests on him. Jasper had remembered something from that night with Alexandra. He remembered who he was and he was being held captive in Florida as far as Evan was concerned. That was not sitting well in his mind. He needed to tell Alice as soon as possible because she deserved to know what was going on. He pulled out his cell phone and slid it open, clicking on his contact list and finding Alice's number. He hit it and opened a new text message before tapping out:
Alice, I need you to meet me at the mansion in the living room. It's important and we need to talk about something. See you there. Love you!

Once that was done, he closed his phone and continued to pace around the living room of the mansion. He had no idea how he was going to tell Alice what he had seen down in Florida, but he knew that this conversation was not one that he was wanting to have with his fiancee, especially because it involved her ex-husband. That was always an awkward conversation to have with someone, no matter who they were to you.

Alice was out hunting when she got a text from Evan. Alice and Evan hadn't seen much of each other as much as she would have liked to, but she was busy with wedding plans and Nessies' baby and Evan had gone on a trip. Once Alice had read the text from Even she quickly put down the small rabbit she was drinking from in her other hand and started to run home. While she was running home she tried to rack her brain about what was so important that Even needed to see and talk to her in that moment. Once she arrived to the back door of the mansion, she pulled on her shirt to make herself look like she was not just out hunting, Alice let out a small sigh and opened the back door.
Alice skipped in to the living room and saw Evan, a huge smile coming across her face. She skipped up to him and wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, however Alice pulled away soon after, she could tell that something was wrong with Evan. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong my love?" She asked him in a loving tone as she slid her hands from around his neck, down his arms and into his hands. "You look worried. Tell me what's bothering you." She asked looking up into his golden eyes.

Evan smiled a bit when Alice came into the room. Her scent hit him and he knew that she had just been hunting or had recently. When she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, he found home. These moments were the ones he had missed most while he was away. When she pulled away and asked what was bothering him, he knew he could never hide anything from Alice...she knew him too well. He took her hands in his and kissed both of them before leading her over to the nearby couch to sit down. Neither of them needed it, but he figured it would make things easier if they were sitting down. "Alice," he began softly, still holding her hands. "You know how I was gone for a while on a trip, well I was actually down in Florida. I had some friends that located Jasper and I went to see him."
Evan ran his thumb across the top of her hand gently. "I apologize for not telling you beforehand, but I needed to speak with him alone. He has been in a medical facility there with two doctors for quite some time," he explained. "And while I was there...something did not seem right to me." He paused to let Alice give some feedback. Honestly, he was expecting her to be angry with him. He had gone to see her ex-husband without telling her. That was just asking for it.

Alice sat and listened to Evan. As he told her his story the smile on her face started to fade away, he had gone to visit Jasper without telling her. "Why did you want to find him?" She asked him, she didn't understand that part at all. "He was gone, not bothering us at all." She said looking at Evans' hand in hers. She then listened as Evan told her about the type of place that Jasper was in and how he felt like something was wrong down there. "Wait, two doctors? For what? Is Jasper sick or something?" Alices' asked Evan, her mind was going all over the place with why Jasper would have needed to go to Florida to see two doctors, Jasper had always hated doctors from what she remembered. "Evan, please tell me what is going on and what is wrong down there." She asked him, even tho Alice was no longer married to Jasper she still cared about him and wanted the best for him.

Evan knew and understood to expect this kind of reaction from Alice. After all, he had gone down to Florida to see her ex without telling her in the first place. For that, he did feel guilty and knew that he should take some of the blame there. Looking into her eyes, he searched for the words to tell her what he believed was wrong in Florida. "I'm sorry I went there without telling you," he apologized again. "But, while I was there I noticed that they were doing tons of tests on Jasper, keeping him sedated through most of them. They explained to me that it was so he would not hurt himself or anyone else because of the retrieved memories, but I think that there is another reason." Evan reached up and caressed the side of Alice's face gently. "My love, as much as you do not want to think about him, I think that Jasper may be in real trouble. I think he is being held hostage."
