Katelyn scoffed slightly. "Being a bad girl got me nowhere fast," she said, putting her Cosmo down on the bar. "It wasn't until after I lost one of my closest friends that I realized that being that way was doing nothing for me. That is why I only occasionally drink and go out." She hated having to explain herself that way, but Katelyn knew that her limits were drawn and that no one was going to ever tempt her back into the life she once lived. Everything was beginning to look up again for her for the first time in over a year and she was happy. Nothing was going to stop her from being happy.

Faith shrugged. "Sometimes it doesn't work out for people." Truth was, she was never a bad girl until after she'd come out of seclusion in England after all those years. She'd killed her parents as her first supernatural feed, then ran off fearing for her life. She had to really reevaluate herself and in order to do that, she had to go into exile. "And sorry about your friend," Faith continued.

Katelyn absentmindedly looked down at her glass, thinking about Josiah for a few moments. It had been a night a lot like this one when he died. "You know, I told him not to drive that night," she said softly. "Even if he was completely sober, I told him that I had a feeling...a really bad feeling that something was going to happen. And when I got that phone call that he was gone...I knew I had been right and I felt like I could have done something to stop him." Sitting still for a few moments, she remained silent to think about Josiah. Looking back at Faith, she realized that she was babbling on again. "I'm sorry...you're probably thinking I'm some nut job talking about my friend and whatnot."

Faith shook her head. "No, you're not a.....nut job?" She'd never heard that term before. I spent way too long in seclusion! she thought. "You're just expressing yourself." I hate when people express themselves. Only I can express myself. Having to listen to others is boring. Faith really thought the world revolved around her. It was an act of rebellion with Maria as her main Empress, or what have you.

Sitting there, Katelyn looked over at Faith. She could tell that the girl was not one lick interested in her life at all. If it was one thing that Katelyn could not stand, it was selfish people who only thought their world was important. It was not how Katelyn was brought up to be, nor how her personality was either. "Well, I think I have had it for one night," she said, pushing the half-drank Cosmo away from her. "I really should be getting home. I have an early start tomorrow morning. It was nice to see you again Faith." She hopped off her bar-stool and grabbed her purse to leave.

Faith smiled as kindly as she could. "Good night. Safe driving." Faith hopped off her barstool and walked into the crowd with her drink to begin dancing. It was going to be a long night for her and this was just the begining. Who knows what tomorrow would bring and if it would have anything to do with what would happen tonight?!
