Description: Jasper stands around 6’2”. His weight is a healthy one hundred and twenty pounds. Jasper’s hair is a dark blond with a natural curl to it. His eyes are a beautiful gold color due to his “vegetarian” diet; however his eyes grow darker the longer that he goes without eating. Jasper’s skin is pale and smooth and he has a young look because of the time of his change.

Background/History: Jasper Hale was born Jasper Whitlock in Texas in 1843. Around the age of seventeen, he joined the Confederate Army in 1861 to serve in the Civil War, lying about his age to his recruitor. During that time, he came across a vampire named Maria who turned him in 1863 when he was just twenty years old. She turned him because of his charismatic leadership so that she could use him to her advantage in the Southern Vampire wars to control the other newborns that she was using to build an army of her own. His power of controlling emotions came in handy when dealing with their newborn army. After living a century in this lifestyle, Jasper grew tired of it. He, along with his friend Peter and Peter's mate Charlotte, left Maria's coven when she grew suspicious of him. And after a while, he separated from even Peter and Charlotte because he no longer wished to feed on humans because he felt their emotions when he killed them.
After separating from Peter and Charlotte, Jasper spent a lot of time alone, wandering from place to place. Eventually, he came to a half-empty diner in Philadelphia where he met his future wife, Alice. Together, they set off to find the Cullen family as Alice saw in a vision that they would be a part of their family. Once they found them, Jasper and Alice were married and Jasper took on the last name "Hale" so that he and Rosalie could portray themselves as twins to the human population. Around sixty or so years after they came to live with the Cullens, Bella Swan came into his brother Edward's life. While her presence complicated things for the family, especially Jasper with his weak self-control, he was finally able to overcome that enough to where Bella could transition into the Cullen family as a member and vampire. (Not without complications outside his control, such as the birth of his niece and the Volturi descending on the family because of said birth.)
Thirty years later, things were going well for Jasper and the Cullen family as Edward, Bella, and Renesmee were returning from an extended stay in London. Around this time, a new sister named Crystal appeared that had long been gone from their family. This arrival caused tension between Jasper and his beloved wife, Alice, because there were some descrepencies in Crystal's story that they did not agree on. Alice decided to take an extended holiday to clear her head. While Alice was away, Bella had two distant cousins that came to live with the Cullen family. There was one night where some things happened that no one intended for, leading to Jasper becoming a father of two half-vampire children with Bella's cousin Lexie as the mother. Since then, Alice has returned and subsequently divorced Jasper, leaving him devastated. Jasper took his own sabatical to Florida to find the answers for the questions he had about that one night that changed his life...
Personality: Jasper is the definition cool as a cucumber. He is a calm and relaxed personality that has grown from a life time of controlling emotions. While controlling the emotions of others keeps Jasper on his toes regarding his focus, Jasper can handle it with the greatest of ease. He takes great pride in his self control and when there are things that shake that it bothers Jasper to the core. While Jazz seems to have few emotions concerning others he always has and always will have a great love for Alice Cullen. He is also a man who cares about his family, even if it does hurt him.
