Lucy laughed as she and her two best friends left the high school gymnasium. They had been there for a couple of hours working on a new dance that they were going to try and fit into the upcoming spring show. It was getting close to night time not that with the constant over cast you could tell. Lucy sighed because the breeze felt amazingly cool after the time in the gym. Needless to say Lucy was ecstatic though the trio was back together and they were getting to perform together again. It really did feel like the good ol’ days and Lucy laughed as she remembered the spring show they had when they were young. As the girls walked across the school campus to were their cars were parked Lucy grinned, “Hey do you guys remember that spring show we did when were ten? The one where we had to dress up like butterflies.”

Kate walked outside into the cool night air after an exhausting practice with her two best friends. It felt good to dance with them again as they had not all danced together in two years. As they were walking to their cars, Lucy mentioned their Spring Show from seven years previous...the one with the butterflies. "Oh my god, I do remember that! Wasn't that the one where I fell flat on my butt because that Rochelle girl could not dance to save her life and she knocked me over?" she asked, giggling as she reached into her bag for her car keys.

Kenzie loved a good dance practice with the girls and this one had gone incredibly well. They were all laughing and reminiscing about times past as they walked into the parking lot. Hearing Lucy and Kate talk about their Spring Show at ten-years-old made Kenzie laugh a little harder. "If I remember correctly Kate, she tripped you because she was insanely jealous of our amazing trio," Kenzie corrected. "That girl could not hold a candle to the awesomeness of the three Musketeers!" Kenzie began to dance around the parking lot before she fell into a fit of the giggles, leaning against her car for support.

“Yeah I think Kenzie is right on that Kate. Rochelle was just upset by the awesomeness of the trio!” She put a fist on her hip and extended her arm into the air in a super hero pose. Lucy laughed as Kenzie danced before falling against her car for support. Lucy started trying to dance a Texas Two Step but as usual she actually tripped herself up. “Oh who am I kidding? I can dance everything except for two stepping, and I will just have to live with it.” Lucy laughed it all off as she stopped to dig her car keys from the bottomless pit known as her purse. It really was amazing to her to have the entire gang back again. Just as she thought that she had dropped her keys Lucy was able to find them under her checkbook. She pulled them out of her purse with a triumphant, “Ta-da!” She giggled at herself and began bouncing side to side to a song playing in her head.

Nathaniel stopped in his running as he reached the edge of the woods. He could feel and smell that he was close to a town. He had fed two days ago so he knew that he could wait longer until his next meal. It did no harm in stopping for a few days vacation. He chuckled to himself whispering, “I have been on vacation for over four hundred years.” Nate ran his hands through his hair a few times to straighten it out before he walked through the edges of the woods. As he looked around he could already tell that he was not going to be staying long. It would be lucky if this small town had something as simple as a movie theater, much less a performance hall with shows. He sighed knowing that it was probably a mistake when he passed the sign that dubbed the city ‘Forks’, and he had never heard of such a town. With a sigh Nate resigned himself to at least try and make it work for a few days to see how it went. If worst came to worst he could go to Seattle and find something there. Just as he was about to walk back into the forest tree line he heard voices. He tilted his head to the side and listened again, three females to be exact. ‘This could be interesting.’ Nathaniel thought to himself.
He found it interesting that three women would be walking alone at this hour. He laughed softly to himself as he remembered the days of his time had long passed, and it was not uncommon for women to walk around unescorted. Besides the worst that these girls thought probably lurked in the dark was a bad run in with the wind destroying their hair. He smiled at that thought; such innocence that he was probably about to ruin at that moment by simply asking them for directions. Nathaniel shook his head at himself and calmly crossed through what appeared to be a high school to the parking lot that held the voices of three women. He grinned as he approached them they were all beautiful in their own right, and it was clear that they were close friends. Not wanting to startle them too much Nate purposefully took a few heavy steps down the stairs and watched his feet as he did so. Luckily he had found a couple of deer in the forest so he knew that his eyes would be a semi-normal golden color. After he stepped down from the last step he took an unnecessary breath and looked up at the three young women.

Katelyn watched as Lucy made some idiotic dance moves while trying to get her keys out of her bag. Rolling her eyes, she knew that they always acted this goofy...so nothing was out of the ordinary there. Katelyn even began to bounch to her own beat out of happiness and too much energy running through her system. Her parents always did say she had way too much energy for her own good and that's why they put her in dance in the first place. Lots of giggles escaped from Katelyn as she ran around. However, she ground to a halt when she saw someone heard someone coming down the stairs that lead to the parking lot.
Her attention snapped to the stairs where she saw a man. Katelyn froze and could not move. The man coming toward them was undeniably attractive, but it did little to quiet Katelyn's fears for herself and her two best friends. Immediately, she went over to Kenzie's side and grabbed her hand, scared.

Lucy knew that she and her friends were acting like fools. It was alright though they were having fun and things were getting back to the way that they used to be. As she was doing a shuffle to the side she looked over at her friends to see Kenzie leaning on her car. Kate however was standing close to Kenzie and had all but a death grip on her friend’s hand. Lucy stopped dancing and frowned to see Kate looking past her back at the school. She could feel her heart rate go up just to see Kate looking panicked. Part of her judgment told her to run to her friend’s side but she turned around to see a gorgeous guy coming down the stairs. Lucy immediately understood what had Kate panicking.
Lucy knew why they were at the school, but is was unnerving to see this guy approaching them. This stranger looked like he had a couple of years on them and was probably in college. While he still had his head down Lucy took two steps towards her friends just to be on the safe side if they needed to run. Lucy glanced back at her two friends to see how they were going to react to the stranger. She turned back to the young man walking towards them with a genuine smile on his face. ‘He has a sweet smile at least.’ Lucy thought to herself. She tried to remain relaxed as the stranger stopped a few feet leaving the trio their own space.

Nathaniel watched as the three young women noticed him. One of them did not seem to notice him at first, and the second young woman noticed him and seemed to watch him with a curiosity. The third young woman Nate saved to watch for last. He was able to only catch a glance of her before, but now that we was able to see her; she was stunning. The only problem that Nathaniel saw was that she look absolutely terrified just to seem him approaching her and her friends. Nathaniel almost laughed allowed that the young woman’s fear was in place concerning a stranger approaching her. He knew that he was more of a danger then anyone that would come up to them.
Nathaniel stopped with a few feet away from the young woman closest to him so that they would not run away before he could ask his questions. He knew from past experiences that a decent smile went a long way in smoothing out peoples fear and Nate placed the friendliest one he could get together. He spoke with his smile still in place and bowed his head to the three young women. “Hello ladies I apologize for bothering you at this hour, but I was hoping that you could help me with some directions.” That was not entirely a lie because he did not know the correct direction to go in but he also knew that he could just as easily find a theater on his own, “I am new in town and I was wondering if there was a movie theater in town, or perhaps a theater hall?”

Kenzie was just as terrified of the new stranger as Katelyn was, immediately squeezing her hand back as he walked closer to him, but staying far enough away before he began to speak. He seemed nice enough, with a smile on his face as he asked for directions. This was a time when Kenzie wished her boyfriend were nearby so they would at least have a huge guy there to intimidate this guy away. However, they did not, so Kenzie decided to be the brave one. Plus, she was the least newest to Forks and knew the area well enough. Mustering all the courage she could, she replied, "Actually, the nearest movie theatre is in the next town over. It's called Port Angeles. Forks is too small for a movie theatre or anything like that."
Great work there Kenz, she beat herself mentally for giving out too much information to a total stranger. Then the curiousity kicked in. She had to know who this guy was. "Excuse me, but can we get your name?" she asked politely.

Nathaniel saw that the other woman seemed to notice him and she wore the same panic stricken look on her face that the angel had. Nate sighed inside his head instead of showing his disappointment that two out of the three women were frightened of him. The third one just seemed to watch him with a strong sense of curiosity if he was not centuries old. Nate sighed allowed an nodded his head as the third young woman confirmed what he believed. After a moment of silence the third woman seemed to become taken over by her own curiosity, ‘Excuse me, but can we get your name?’
Oh if anyone of his tutors growing up had watched this play out. Nate could almost hear the voices yelling at him that he should have introduced himself first. Nate would have found himself in a pile of trouble back in his original time. As it was he tried to put on the most apologetic smile that he could and he felt the unyielding urge to bow his head again; which he did, “My apologizes, it was rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Nathaniel Pierce.” Trying to smooth things over he continued, “Forks is a far cry from what I have grown up with.” Knowing that if he were to try and speak to informally with the three young women it would only increase their fear of him. This time he wore a smaller smile and glanced at the young woman that he could easily define as an angel before he looked to the young woman who had asked his name. “I appreciate the help you have offered. I thank you and wish all of you a happy night.” Nathaniel stopped himself from bowing to the three women before he turned away. He began to walk away from the women and towards the faint sounds of the town of Forks.

Katelyn was totally enamored with the total stranger that identified himself as Nathaniel Pierce. He was far from the guys she had known in the past and seemed to be almost...polite in a way. Then there was the fact that he was attractive in a more suave and devonair manner, unlike many of the guys she had come across in her life. He was impeccably beautiful, almost painfully so with his pale skin and defined cheek bones. As he walked away, she pulled herself out of her stupor, like an alcholic coming to with a hangover. Her ears were ringing with the sound of his perfect voice still there. What the hell? she thought irritably to herself. Snap out of it stupid!
Shaking her head, she looked around to see Kenzie and Lucy still standing there and she hoped they hadn't noticed her idiotic behavior enough to say anything about it otherwise she might just drop dead of embarrassment. It was not something she wanted her two best friends to notice as it was sort of 'creeper-esque' to be infatuated with someone that they only just met two minutes prior. "So, that was definitely weird," she said out loud to cover herself, hoping Kenzie and Lucy would just agree and not ask questions.

Lucy felt as though she was in a bit of shock watching the stranger. He was absolutely stunning. Lucy knew that her friends were behind her and probably more afraid of his sudden appearance then surprised by his look. ‘And his manners. Who talks like that anymore?’ Lucy wondered to herself. A few moments later as Nathaniel was walking away Lucy was brought back to reality when Kate made the comment, ‘So, that was definitely weird.’ Lucy shook her head to clear her thoughts and turned to her friends whispering, “Kinda but the guy was gorgeous!” Lucy grinned at her friends knowing that they were probably going to get onto her for the danger of the situation and the fact she did not really see any. And oh well if she was going to get snapped at, Lucy decided to go all the way and wiggled her eyebrows saying, “And hey Kate he totally talks like he walk out of one of those books you love to read.”

Katelyn had been in her own little world that involved Nathaniel being there with her and without a shirt. However, her mind snapped right out of that fantasy the minute Lucy said something to her. Subconsciously, she had heard her comment on the guy being gorgeous and she could not agree more. But Lucy's second comment was one specifically aimed at her. Turning toward her friend, she put her hands on her hips sarcastically and smirked, "Well, I can't help it if I like something cultured in my life. You know I like Shakespeare for one reason and one reason only...he has class."
Out of her best friends, Katelyn had always thought of herself as the most classical, being that she loved old timey things like the literature, art, and culture of the old world. She truly believed she was born into the wrong time period, but was fortunate to find her two best friends anyways.

Lucy rolled her eyes at Katelyn. She realized that Katelyn had been lost off in her own little world. More likely then not she had been day dreaming about the gorgeous guy that had just asked for directions. Kate’s current attitude was one that seemed distracted but she was able to comment about liking classy and cultured guys. Lucy gave an over the top exasperated sigh, “I still prefer the dancers and the cowboys of the world.” Lucy knew that Kate loved that world from centuries past as she had said a few times she thought she had been born in the wrong century. Lucy sauntered towards her car and called over her shoulder knowing that Nate was well out of hearing by now, “You should offer him a tour of Forks sometime Kate.”

Katelyn rolled her eyes sarcastically as Lucy mentioned that she preferred the dancers and cowboys of the world. Obviously that Kaleb fellow at their school made quite an impression on her, but she decided to let that slide for the time being and save that for blackmail on a later day. As Lucy turned and sauntered toward her car, Katelyn caught what she said and quickly retorted, "Yeah, well maybe I will! Who knows, maybe he could turn out to be an absolute gentleman and my next boyfriend!"
Turning around and crossing her arms, she gave a loud huff and popped her hip out in defiance. This was typical Katelyn behavior though and she knew Kenzie and Lucy would brush it off as fast as she had given it.
