Maddie stood at the top of the beach, looking down towards the waves that were crashing against the shore. She started school in two days and if she was being honest with herself, she was dreading it. She'd had the whole summer to make friends; but she hadn't. Instead, she'd sat in her house, by herself, when her sister and mum had been out meeting new people. She hadn't even tried.
So now here she was. Her mum had practically kicked her out of the house, ordering her to at least meet someone who she'd be going to school with. Maddie had agreed, but she wasn't happy about it. As much as she missed her old life, a life where she was known by almost everyone, and she was as good as the center of attention. But as much as she did miss it, she wasn't completely sure if she wanted to try and get that life back here. It had taken her most of middle school to reach the status that she achieved, and it wasn't easy. Surely it'd be better if she just stuck to herself, and got through the last two years of school as quickly as possible?
With a sigh, she walked down onto the beach, pulling her green hoodie - that was too big for her - closer as the wind hit the back of her neck. Her mum wouldn't see it her way, and Maddie knew that there was no point trying to tell her.
Finding a large rock on the beach, she sat down and pulled up her hood. The wind was getting stronger now and her hair was flying everywhere. She wondered idly how long it would take for her to get used to this type of weather. The answer that came into her head almost made her cringe.

It had been a long day of school, dance, and not seeing Jon for Kenzie. Lately he had been so busy with the reservation stuff, she had begun to wonder if her boyfriend was being taken over by aliens or something. Pushing that thought aside, she decided to go to First Beach, somewhere she hadn't been in a while. She grabbed her brown and white down jacket, a blue scarf and hat, and drove out to the beach.
With the wind whipping at her back, she walked down the shore just watching the waves roll in and out. Funny how this place brought love to me, she mused, remembering the first time she had met Jon right on that very beach. As she walked, she thought of all the reasons why he made her happy and they kept coming like water down an eternal stream.
When she reached her normal spot, there was someone there...someone Kenzie had never seen before. She slowly approached the newcomer in a green sweatshirt. "Hi, I don't think we've met before. I'm Kenzie," she introduced herself.

The twins are asleep in their room, Noah is passed out in the bed, and I'm here downstairs cleaning. As soon as she changed the twins diapers, watched them as they went to sleep, Delilah was downstairs cleaning. Ever since the twins arrived, she didn't have time to get fresh air nor she had time to be herself. After finishing up the kitchen, she went upstairs to take a shower. While the twins were asleep that's when she has time to be herself til they start crying when they're either hungry or time for diaper change. Her life was becoming more and more hectic, lately. Soon enough, she turned off the shower, dried her body with a towel and wore a robe around her as she made her wait to the closet. Delilah didn't want to wake up Noah, grabbing a pair of shorts and t-shirt and wore it.
She made her way downstairs, where she called up Megara and told her if she would come down to her house and stay for couple of hours so that she can go to the beach and well be herself. Megara agreed to come over, making Delilah in relief. It wasn't too long that Megara arrived at the house. She told Megara everything where it was, not that she needed to know--in case though. Thanks Heaven that mom agreed about staying and looking after the twins and Noah. Delilah was out the door and was heading towards the beach. To Megara, Noah was still her baby, which Delilah didn't mind at all. It was peaceful outside, especially when she's walking letting the wind blow her hair. Once in while she would meet people that she knew and stop by to talk to them. She didn't want to be rude or anything. It was how Delilah was.
Just as she arrived, hearing waves crash along the shore, smelling two human scent, unfamiliar, and of course the smell of the water. Delilah walked closer when she saw one blond girl sitting on rock another brunette girl talking to her. Both of them looked like they were new in town...it wasn't hard for anyone to figure out if people are new because La Push is small town along with Forks where everyone knows everything about each other. Especially for the fact that some of them are shape-shifters and know what's going on their head when they phase. Other than that, someone of them shouldn't know that they're shape-shifters.
From the brunette girl, Delilah smelled wood smell as in she was hanging out with one of the member from the pack. Who could it be? Jake is on his honeymoon. Embry and Seth are being themselves, Leah was hanging out with a guy name, Jay. Who then? She smiled at both of the girls as she stopped in front of them. "You two are new, right?" Delilah said to both of the girls who looked nice and friendly. "I'm Delilah by the way." She introduced herself to both of the girls.

Maddie's head turned as she heard footsteps coming towards her. She saw a girl who was wearing a brown and white jacket, with a blue scarf and hat. Maybe mum was right... Maddie thought to herself as the girl introduced herself to Maddie. She ran her right hand through her hair as she spoke. "Hi," She replied, "I'm Maddie." She introduced, smiling warmly at Kenzie, who seemed nice enough to her. Maddie found herself secretly hoping that she might attend La Push High. That way, she'd know at least one person when she started school. The day that had been looming for so long now suddenly felt oh so present. It scared Maddie, and she started to wish that she hadn't put of this "getting to know kids her age" - as her mum had called it - for so long.
"So do you go to La Push High?" Maddie asked, as casually as possible, whilst sitting on her hand, on which her fingers were crossed. The wind picked up once more and Maddie clutched her hoodie as tight as she could in a almost useless attempt to warm up.
Madeline's head turned once more as a dark haired girl joined both Kenzie and herself. "You two are new, right?" Maddie almost scoffed. She was new to everyone here, but there was no need to explain that she'd actually been here for a while now, she'd just never left her house. Deciding that a simple 'yes' would be easier than explaining her whole situation to what were at this moment still strangers to her, she nodded. "Yeah, I moved here with my mum and sister." She answered, telling as much of the truth as she thought necessary. "I'm Delilah by the way." Maddie smiled once more, but this time at Delilah. "I'm Maddie," She repeated for the benefit of newcomer to the somewhat small group that had formed on the cloudy beach.

Kenzie smiled at the newcomer named Maddie. The girl seemed really nice, but kind of shy. Remembering her first few days in Forks, Kenzie totally understood where Maddie was coming from as far as the shyness went. She heard the question that Maddie asked, but before she could answer it another girl walked up and introduced herself as Delilah. "It's nice to meet you Delilah," she said before turning back to Maddie to answer her question. "Actually, I go to Forks High. But my boyfriend Jon lives out in La Push. He graduated last year from high school."
Thinking about Jon made her smile. He was her other half and she could not go a day without thinking of him. Turning back so that she was facing both Delilah and Maddie, she smiled and answered Delilah's question next, "I'm not new to the area. My dad is the Chief of Police in Forks, so we moved down here two years ago." Kenzie was glad to meet some new people in La Push.
