Maden was on the branch of a big tree in the mountains. He was little tried of going to the forest, so he thought that he should to go to the mountains. It was boring at the mansion, Renesmee was in Italy having great time on her honeymoon, Emmett was off talking to Aubri or something, Rosalie was just about anywhere, his aunts and uncles well—they were little busy with their personal things and didn’t want to bother them, Esme and Carlisle were no where near him or anyone, for that matter. Practically no one was around the mansion like they used when he first arrived at the mansion. So what he has to do when no one is around?
Sighing, he watched couple of deers running from where he was. The view was just amazing; Maden could see mostly everything from where he was sitting at. Of course, it meant that not a human can climb that high where he was but he could careless about it. After all, he’s half-vampire. Sometimes, it was little hard for him to talk to everyone in the family, well because for once, no one is hardly around and he just doesn’t like repeating things again and again. Maden knows that he has nothing to hide from anyone, because of Edward’s mind reading and what not.
At the moment, he was thinking about his real mom. He was missing her, and not hearing her voice makes him little conscious on what happened to her. Maden had promised her that he’s not going to contact her or even try looking for her even on how much he misses her. It was just little sad that he couldn’t talk to his real mom about the problems and have little fun with her. He had grown up fast, he stands tall about four feet two inches, which is good for him. Maden just sat there and watched the empty ground.

Evan needed some time to himself. It had been a rough few days since he and Alice had returned from London. The move had been one huge step for him. He had never left London in his entire life, human or immortal, so coming all the way around the world was different for him. Then there was Alice and Jasper's marital dissolve. Jasper had truly hurt Alice by sleeping with Bella's cousin, even if it wasn't intentional. Then she declared that she was in love with Evan...it was all too much for him to take in at once, so he needed to find some peace of mind. He escaped to the mountains while Alice was busy with a conversation of her own with someone else.
That's when he caught it, a scent he wasn't familiar with. He followed it until he reached the bottom of a tree and looked up to find a boy sitting in the branches. Quickly, he scaled the tree in less than five seconds. "I don't believe we've met, I'm Evan. What's your name?" The boy in the tree looked to be about ten-years-old and frankly, a lot like Alice's brother Emmett.

Maden was all distracted by thinking about his mom and sweet memories that he had with her while he was under her roof. Who knows where she might be at? Probably thousands miles away from where he is right now. He loves his new family, but sometimes it’s hard for him to talk to anyone in the family because everyone is so caught up in either in trouble or just drama in general. Maden just hates drama and couldn’t take it anymore; it was like evil step-mother is after killing her sweet step-daughter. He was the kid who shouldn’t know anything about the troubles, dramas at the mansion but in the truth he does.
When he heard a voice, he nearly jumped out of the branch he was sitting at. Maden looked at the guy, remembering where he saw him. After a moment of silence it hit him. Evan. He smiled at Evan before answering him his question. "We met, before. At my cousin, Renesmee and Jacob's wedding reception; you were with Aunt Alice. The reason you don't recognize me is because I'm grew. Anyway I'm Maden. Emmett and Rosalie's son." Most people won't recognize him because he changed...alot.

"Oh, well it's nice to meet you again Maden," he replied, suddenly remembering the little boy he had met a week or so before. He sat on the branch next to him and looked out over the spectacular view of the entire valley before them. It was peaceful up there; Evan could think and see everything so clearly. He could see why Maden had chose this get away from everything at the house. All of that stress on a child was too much; it was too much for even an adult to bear sometimes.
"So, you come up here often just to get away and think?" he asked, trying to pose a friendly conversation between him and the boy. Maden did bear a very uncanny resemblance to his father, but Evan could see Rosalie's softness in Maden's blonde hair. However, he also knew that Maden was not Rosalie's biological son, but since when did it matter if a child was your's biologically if you raised it?

Maden wanted to be there for his family but sometimes he couldn’t take it anymore. It was like everywhere he goes there is always drama and fights. He doesn’t like it when something or someone finds out what’s going on in his family. What better to get away from those things than just sitting on branch and watch the nature that was in front of him? Especially when he’s alone, he could just be himself without worrying about anything else. Other than just enjoying his little his time alone. For some odd reasons, he’s happy that his dad or his mom isn’t with him that moment. He’s not shy or anything, it’s just that he needed space from everyone, once in while that is.
He looked at Evan, who was watching what was in front of them and shrugged. Now that he knows everything about vampires, shape-shifters, he doesn’t need to be in the dark like he used to be nor did he had to stay under his parents’ supervision. Okay so now and then he needs to be supervised by them but the point is he’s not a kid anymore. "Now I do. Since dad is letting me have me time. How about you? Like The States?" Maden knew that Evan was from London and it was probably different from there.

Evan smiled at Maden. "Life here is definitely different," he replied. "The scenery is different for one." He nodded out to the multitude of trees that surrounded them from their mountain top view. Even in the winter, everything seemed so beautiful here, unlike the dreary streets of London. However, the countryside tended to be quite beautiful during the springtime. Evan missed his childhoods there. "And there aren't vampire families in London either. You're pretty lucky to have such a wonderful family like you do."
He knew that his comment was the understatement of the year. The Cullens were the best family he had ever had since his real human family. Thinking about them, he knew his little sisters and brother would be grown soon and having families of their own. Yet, he was still eternally nineteen and they would never know what happened to him. That part was the hardest to swallow for Evan, but he fought it back to keep his attention on Maden.

Maden listened to Evan as he talked. It was little different for him too. He wasn't used living in big family but little by little he's getting used to it. Before he came to the mansion, it was only him and his mom in three bedroom house. Most of all after moving in with the Cullens, he's been loved by many people and getting more and more information on things. He was having fun that's what matter to him the most and the whole family.
The cool breeze was good against his skin. Maden smiled on what Evan said about the family. And he couldn't agree more to it. "You're lucky to be part of the family, Evan. Especially having Aunt Alice back in the family there's joy all over again." Ever since Alice came back in the family, everyone is just happy for her return. Yeah Jasper isn't too happy that she brought Evan along with her but, Maden is sure that everything will work out fine in the end.

Ryssa dropped her lone backpack at the base of a massive tree in the mountains. She grinned to herself at the thought of the alone time. She was too far from anywhere that the humans could come and part of Ryssa hoped that she was far enough from the rest of the Cullens that she would not run into Bella again. There was nothing against the female vampire but Ryssa had wanted to have time to collect her thoughts over everything that happened, and not just everything that had happened with Bella. Running along the tops of the trees would be just the ticket for clearing her head.
Balancing on the branches of the trees as the wind flew through her hair and threatened to send her down to the ground below. Not that it would do Ryssa any lasting damage but it would seriously kill the joy of dancing along the tree tops. Ryssa pulled herself into the tree and began to jump to the highest branches that could support her weight. She curled her left arm around the tree branches as she looked around at the amazing view. Perhaps coming to Washington had not been such a bad idea in the first place. She would not have to worry about running into the others from her past and life seemed peaceful enough that she could remain for a few decades and see no trouble.
Ryssa laughed as the wind pulled the hair she had tucked behind her ears; the wind was challenging her. She uncurled her arm from the tree and took a graceful leap to a tree that was a short distance away. Her smile grew as Ryssa began to dance and run around at the tops of the trees. Ryssa easily lost track of how long she was dancing in the tree tops. The wind suddenly was filled with a sent that was becoming increasingly common in the area. She growled under her breath at the idea of running into even more vampires. As Ryssa decided what she was going to do she could feel the wind shift and blow back towards the general direction that the two vampires were.
