[Alice] Hooked By a Glare.....

[Alice Cullen]

Jasper had left a note for Alice at the house by giving it to Alexandra who took it up to her room.

Alice,

If you would be so kind as to meet me in the forest, I would like to speak to you. Please come alone. It won't take long.

Jasper

Maria waited in the forest. Jasper hated being babysat, but Maria's words still rung in his mind. What did Maria mean by he'll be the way he used to be?

After returning to the forest, Jasper found Maria standing on the ground. He shook his head at her. "I can't believe you're making me do this."

"You'll thank me later, Jasper. All you need if time."

Jasper rolled his eyes and waited, arms crossed.

Alice had gotten Jaspers note and ran to the forest where she smelled him. He was the last person she wanted to see at the moment. "How can I help you." She said as she stopped running and crossed her arms. "I have a wedding to plan. Oh yeah you haven't heard, I'm marrying Evan" She said holding out her hand for him to see the ring. "Well what is it?"

Jasper looked at Maria who gave him a stern look. Although Maria didn't like Alice's tone either, she would just as much have Jasper do the right thing.

After closing his eyes, Jasper took in a deep breath. "I wanted to say I'm sorry and that I regret everything I've ever put you through. Whether good or bad because everything led to where we are now. I'm taking Alexandra and the kids to Seattle and I'm taking responsibility for my incontrollable actions. I'm not in love with her and I never have been. Know that I will always love you. No one else. But you're not happy with me and I'm moving out of your life for good." He opened his eyes and looked at Maria.

Maria nodded approvingly. "Good. Now get started."

Jasper turned around and started walking back into the forest. Maria walked towards the house, planning on going back to Houston.

After 10 steps Jasper just stopped and looked at the sky. What Maria had told him was true. He did feel a lot differently. Almost like he couldn't remember anything anymore. He only knew what had used to be.

Alice stood and watched has Jasper walked a way and stopped to look at the sky. "I'm glad your doing what's right. But I am done with you Jasper. You have done too many bad things to me, and the first was sleeping with that slut." Alice said to him. She just stood there and waited for his next move.

Jasper turned around. Calmly, he said, "First, I didn't intentionally. Obviously you don't know how my powers are affected by her because your power doesn't affect anyone's body. I'm sorry you think of her that way, and I accept what you think." Then, he weird looked crossed his face. He shook it off. "I'm happy for you and Evan. And I accept everything that will happen in the future." What am I saying? This was what Maria was talking about? Self guilt.

Alice walked closer to Jasper. "Cut the bullshit and say what you really want to say. Or are you still a coward?" Alice asked him as she got right up in his face. "You are a cheater, and you now have two little home wrecking babies. I never want to see you again, and if you ever come around my new husband will rip your head off, because he loves me more than you ever did or ever will." Alice then spit on the ground next to Jasper and turned away. "Oh and one more thing Jasper, I don't love you." She said standing there crossing her arms.

[Alice Cullen]

"Well I'm sorry you feel that way," Jasper said. He was really starting to feel like his old self again. He looked up in the trees and saw Maria wink at him, then disappear. "Now, if you'll please excuse me, I have some things to tend to." He nodded his head and said, "Goodbye Alice." With that, he looked up, jumped into the tree and took off.

Alice watched as Jasper left. She knew she didn't really think anything she said, but she needed to move on. She hoped that one day her and Jasper would be friends again, but as of now she needed to plan her wedding to Evan and move on.
