Evan was elated that Alice had accepted his proposal. He was going to be a married man soon and that was something that excited him. Alice was all he had ever wanted in a woman and more. She was kind, sweet, loving, and just everything perfect and good in the world. Evan could not wait to marry her. On that note, he knew that he was so excited that he had forgotten to hunt in a while, so he decided to take a solo hunting trip into the forest.
He left a note for Alice explaining he was hunting and would be home soon before darting into the forest. Within minutes, he had caught a doe and was onto bigger prey to sate his thirst, which was bothersome because of his lack of hunting over the past few weeks. He caught scent of a mountain lion about five miles away and began to track it.

Faith had been watching Evan for a few days and conversing with Maria about Jasper. The situation had gotten out of hand. If Jasper was not in a proper position soon, they would have to kill him--Maria's words. It would break Maria's heart indefinately, but it would have to be done.
Watching Evan in the woods hunt, Faith envied him in a way. He probably would not care that Jasper's life was in jeapordy. After all, he was the one that Maria blamed for all of this. Not Alice. Not Jasper. Not Alexandra. Evan. The blood was on his hands and it was getting harder to wash off everyday.
Evan was approaching her, but he probably could not see her for she was up in a tree, crouching down. She held on with one hand and rested her other arm on her knee. Her gaze was not kind.

While tracking the mountain lion, another scent hit Evan's nostrils; one that was not easily recognizable. It smelled like a vampire in a way, but also like wet dog...kind of similar to how Jacob smelled. It was weird to have both scents so close together, unless it were Jacob and Renesmee, but he knew it was not them by how it smelled. This was different, like it was one person instead of two. He immediately halted his hunt and looked around, trying to find the source of the scent.
Looking around, he saw nothing on the ground, so he looked to the trees. At first there was nothing until he saw it...a girl. She was someone he had never seen before in Forks. She was in a crouched position and glaring at him, signaling to Evan that there was a possible threat there.

"It's about time you noticed me," Faith said when Evan finally spotted her. She stood up and jumped out of the tree, landing on her feet infront of him. "I've been following you for days on end. I'm not that hard to recognize." She crossed her arms and continued to glare at him. Her business was serious.

Evan watched as the girl jumped from the tree to in front of him, still glaring at him with a unrelenting gaze. "I apologize for I was not aware that I should know you," he replied. "I'm Evan Williams. And you are?" He was trying to maintain politeness as it was not in his nature to be rude to someone he just met, even if they were being rude to him

"I know who you are, Evan Williams," Faith said coldly. "I'm Faith Madison. I'm the messenger to the queen of the southern vampires, Maria. You won't know her. Not many in the North do." She put her arms down and started circling Evan. "You've been interfering with my queen's best warrior. Although, he doesn't know he's being watched. You must know him. You're marrying his ex-wife." She stopped and crossed her arms again, now standing on Evan's right.

Evan felt his jaw tense. Anyone who ever mentioned Alice in that tone of voice was not a person he was going to be polite with. And what was the deal with the whole 'queen of the southern vampires' bit...why would he care? His only concern was Alice, keeping her happy, and her family. "What is your concern with Alice? She is divorced from Jasper and we are getting married, that is the end of it. Jasper made his decisions and no longer lives here. Maybe you should go look him up, he lives in Seattle."
Evan tried to remain calm, but anyone who spoke in a threatening tone of voice when it came to Alice, well that person was toast. However, he brought his anger down enough to stay put.

"I've spoken with Jasper already and he is vaguely aware of his future. However, the actions you have portrayed over these last few weeks have been disappointing to us Southerners. Maria sent me to watch Jasper, and his divorce was not of her intentions." Faith began to circle Evan again, her movements sly. "Maria is not happy with anyone up here. And has considered ending what she started. This means killing Jasper. Now while you won't care, Alice certainly will because I saw them together in Seattle. And it's not the way ex's should be behaving. She admitted that she still loves him. And I don't lie about things, so if you're going to call my bluff, you'd better talk to your fiance." She continued to circle him, arms still crossed and head turned towards him.

Evan began to circle with Faith as well. His anger level, rising steadily again. "Why would it be any concern to the Southerners what I do up here in the North?" he asked, his British accent coming out more heavily on each syllable. "I am not even American, much less a member of any coven outside of the Cullen family." Then Faith had mentioned Alice once more and that really got him going. He launched himself at Faith, nailing her against a nearby tree with his hand around her throat. "How dare you speak of Alice in such away," he hissed. "Unlike some people, my fiancee is honest with me and has already told me about that indiscretion, which was before I even proposed to her. So, unless you would like for me to tear you to pieces right here for speaking of her in such a way, I suggest you leave."

Faith laughed like a witch from a good horror movie. She kicked Evan off of her, cracking her neck back in place for he had dislocated it a little when he shoved her up against the tree. "Well, let's see how your wife feels about the damage to her heart." Faith jumped up into the tree and took off running. She was glad. This was exactly what she wanted, though she wasn't sure how Maria would react.
Once Faith reached Seattle, there were vampires and werewolves from the south waiting for her outside of Jasper's condo. They already had Jasper knocked out and tied together with sharp bands that, if he moved, would cut him open like another vampire tearing at their own kind.
"Okay boys," she said to her minions. "Time to make a delivery."
They obeyed and Faith followed them to Texas.
