Alice almost melted when Evan spoke the last words out of his mouth. She let out a small giggle. "You sure do know how to charm a girl, Mr. Williams." She said smiling at him. Alice was so smitten with Evan in every way there was to be. Back in London Alice had only ever thought of Evan as a friend, but on there trip back to Forks Alice had started to look at him different. However she never would of dared do anything because of Jasper. But now that Alice had found out what Jasper had done she was free to feel however she wanted towards Evan. Alice let out a smile giggle and smiled to herself, thinking about how everything had worked out.

Evan smiled back at Alice. Her smile could melt even the hardest of hearts and had certainly captured his own. Slowly, he reached up and put his hand on the side of her face, running his thumb along her cheek softly. Everything she was feeling was surging through him; all of the happiness, joy, and love for him, all of it was running through his veins. This was the most he had felt in a single person since his creation six years previously. Her laugh was like music to his ears. "It's so easy to be myself when I'm around you," he replied to her comment on his charm.
"Come with me," he whispered before standing up and extending his hand for her to take. "There is something I wish to show you."

Alice looked at Evan. "I'm glad you feel that way, because I wouldn't want you any other way." She giggled and smiled at him. Alice watched Evan stand up and she took his hand when he offered it to her. "Of course I will come with you. Can I have a hint at what it is?" She asked him as she stood up to her feet, her hand still in his. "But before you show or tell me anything, I must do one thing." She said as she moved closer into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She stood on her tip-toes and kissed him.

Feeling her lips pressed against his and her arms around his neck, Evan knew that he was happy for the first time in a long time. Alice was perfect for him in every way. Compared to him, she was tiny but that didn't matter as he wrapped his arms around her waist and held her. Her personality was fiery and full of passion for those she cared about most. That, among many other things, is what attracted Evan to her. When he broke their kiss a few moments later, he looked into her eyes and smirked. "If I told you where we were going, then it would cease to be a surprise," he joked softly.
Gently, he took her hands and pulled her onto his back, looking toward the back door of the house. "Do you trust me?" he asked, looking back to Alice.

Alice was thrown onto Evan's back and she giggled. "Of course I trust you. I would trust you with my life." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. "I mean you're not going to kill me or anything?" She asked him playfully. She then leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. "Alright off to the surprise." She said in a lower voice and throwing one are up, like she was on a horse going into battle.

Evan smiled at the knowledge that Alice trusted him. Of course, he had known this already or she would have never given him her heart like she had just done a few minutes prior. On her command, he ran out the back door into the forest. The trees and snow whizzing by him in a flurry of green, brown, and white. Everything inside of him was coming alive for the first time since his transformation and he felt so invigorated, like he was on top of the world and could do anything his heart desired. Alice made him feel that way. She was his sun after living in a very dark world for a long time. Every star in his night sky shined for her and her alone. He had never been in love before, not even as a human. Between his sports and study, there had never been any time for it. Now, all a vampire had was time, and he had Alice.
The longer he ran, the closer to his destination he got and the more excitement was building inside of him. Had his heart still been beating, it would have been racing by now. Finally, after running for nearly twenty minutes and a complete scenery change, Evan knew that they were there. He stopped and gently put Alice back on her feet, before turning to face her. They had stopped on a small, private beach that was near the Canadian border just as the white waves were rolling in and out with the tide. Off the coast a ways was a blue and white lighthouse that he loved. "I found this place one of my first days here in America," he murmured, taking her hands. "It reminded me of you because, even though it is small, it is beautiful in every way." He reached up with his right hand and stroked her cheek lovingly.

Alice hopped down off of Evans back. "This is amazing Evan!" she said as she walked towards the water. ALice looked out at the white waves and then down at the sand around her feet. She then got an idea. Alice turned to Evan. "You know this was once a twenty minute run from the house, we should build a house here for us." Alice smiled hoping that Evan would like her idea.

Evan watched as Alice walked toward the waves and then turned back to him. She was so beautiful to him in every way. And being in this place with her just made him that much happier to have come to America. When she suggested building a house there, he could think of no better place to spend eternity with her than that very beach. He closed the space between the two of them and smiled. "I would go anywhere so long as I get to stay with you," he said tenderly. "And I think that this is just far enough away from your family and the situation that you would be happier here."

Alice smiled at what Evan said about her family and everything that was going on right now. She ran up to him and hugged him. "Thank you." She said as she squeezed his neck. She then let go and looked up at him. "I'm sure you are thinking that my family is pretty crazy, but I promise you that everything is not always this out of hand." Alice said giggling. She then started to think back around the time Bella had moved to Forks and how for at least 2 to 3 years had been crazy. She then looked back up at Evan. "Well not all the time." Alice smiled and bit her bottom lip at the same time.

Evan smiled as Alice wrapped her arms around his neck and laughed. "I think every family goes through its crazy times and if they didn't, they wouldn't be a real family," he said. He knew that Alice loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. That was another part of her that he adored. Everything about Alice was perfect and he could not see how Jasper would hurt such a loving and irreplacable woman such as her. He leaned down and kissed her again. Never had he loved someone so much as he loved her. All he wanted now was to keep her safe and happy.

Alice laughed. "Oh Evan, I have a lot to tell you about my family and crazy times. It all started when Bella was human and came to live in Forks with her father. It's like once she moved here, the crazy just started to pour like rain." Alice giggled to herself. However it was true, there really had never been a normal time in the Cullen/Hale family since Bella came. And in a weird way Alice didn't mind that because she had always had Jasper by her side through all of it. But things where different now, she was different and Jasper was different. Alice looked back up at Evan. She had him now, and that was all she could ask for. "But I can tell you all about that another time. Right now I just want to be here with you." Alice smiled at him and let out a girlish giggle.

Another smile spread across Evan's face as Alice talked about her family and her sister, Bella. He noticed how her face lit up when she talked about them. Alice truly loved and cared for her family. He chuckled lightly when she said that she would tell him all about them another time and that she only wanted to be with him right then. "There is nowhere else I would rather be right now than with you," he whispered into her ear, his heavy accent lingering in the air.
Without warning, he picked her up and spun her around in a circle. Spending this time with Alice, in this place, was the most precious thing to Evan. If he could pick anywhere in the world to be, it would be wherever Alice was. It didn't matter if she was in Antarctica or Finland for all he cared, so long as he was there with her.
