Alexandra finally got some privacy in the livingroom at the Cullen's Mansion. She sat on the couch, half asleep, wondering if Bella and Edward would really "take a break" from this. She was probably 100% positive that they were sitting outside behind the glass door, but she couldn't get up to check.
It had only been about 5 days, but she looked like she was 7 months pregnant. That may have been because she was carrying twins, so she would look overdue in a few days. But it was all so weird. People were so against Jasper not having anything to do with the babies when it had been her idea. Why couldn't people just accept it and move on? |

Alice had promised Jasper that she would talk to Lexie, and Alice always kept a promise. She made sure she found a time when no one was around Lexie to talk to her. Alice entered the living room and found Lexie asleep on the couch, she was huge, Alice thought to herself. Then Alice went into the kitchen and grabbed a blood bag from the refrigerator and poured it into a cup ad stuck a straw down into it. She carried the cup back out to the living room and kneeled down next to Lexie. "Lexie." She whispered, trying to wake her up.
Alice looked at Lexies huge belly. She needed to get Lexie to understand that she could not go away and raise this children by herself. That she would need help, that someone would have to teach them to hunt, and live a veggie lifestyle like the rest of the Cullens. And Alice was ready to tell Lexie that if Jasper wasn't going to do it, she would.

Since Lexie was only half asleep, she stirred a little and opened her eyes easily. She had never seen the girl beside her before, but she knew right away that this was Jasper's wife, Alice. She sat up onto her elbows. "Oh. Alice. I didn't hear you come in." She sat all the way up, pulling the pillow behind her out to the front. |

Alice handed Lexie the cup of blood and smiled. "Here you should drink this." She said. Alice looked Lexie over, she was pretty and so far seemed sweet. "So I hear you're having twins. That's a big undertaking, twin vampires." Alice tried to get the vampire part across clear. "But you shouldn't worry this family has a past with vampire births, so you should be safe." Alice sat on the floor next to Lexie and crossed her legs.

Alexandra took the cup of blood casually. She probably posioned it. I'll drink it later, she thought. "Uh, thanks." She sat the cup down without drinking it. The babies weren't breaking anything yet, so she saw no reason to drink the blood. When Alice mentioned the twins, she smiled faintly. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm really excited. I have Veronica house hunting for us. We're gonna get somewhere cute to raise the kids and Jasper could visit them anytime he wanted, though I don't except anything out of him." |

Alice looked down at the floor. "Lexie I know you want Jasper to be with me and that you don't want him to help with the kids. But he really should. I mean these babies are going to be half vampire, they will need to know how to hunt and know how strong they are." Alice hoped she could get this through Lexie's head, she seemed like a smart girl. "I mean you can't take them out hunting, you wouldn't know the first thing about it." She said looking up to her hoping she would agree.

"Alice, I know you mean well, but I've already jedpordized Jasper's future enough. I can't make him responsible for something that was my fault." Alexandra sighed, looking at the wall next to her. "I just wish I hadn't been so stupid. Jasper took my breath away when I first saw him. Then all this happens and I find out that he's--not only a vampire--but a married man!" She shook her head and looked back at Alice. "It broke my heart, but giving him up was surprisingly easier than I thought. I don't know if it's from the pure delusion that I'm pregnant, or maybe it's his power of controlling emotions." She chuckled and looked down. |

Alice shook her head at Lexie. "I understand where you are coming from Lexie and it's okay. But please try to understand me. These babies will want to drink blood, if someone doesn't teach them how to drink and live off of animal blood they will kill you and your sister and drink your blood. They will also be amazingly strong and could throw you across the room at the age of 2, you are going to need a vampire to help you raise them. I want Jasper to be that vampire, and if not...I will be." Alice gave Lexie a stern look.

Alexandra narrowed her eyes at Alice. "Am I awake?" she asked looking around. "Did I just hear that the wife of the father of my children who is leaving him say that she would help raise my chilren?" She raised her eyebrows, not really buying into it. |

Alice nodded her head yes. "If you don't let him help you then I will. And I'm sure Evan will help me too. These are special children Lexie, they will need to be raised that way." Alice said to her. She then looked back to the ground and played with her hands and little pieces of carpet on the floor.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want Evan being a part of their lives. Jasper already spoke about this with me. He saw you two." She readjusted herself. "And I'm not going against Jasper's wishes. I'm sorry. But Jasper won't want his ex-wife's boyfriend, or whatever he is, around his children, whether he's taking care of them or not."
"Sis!" Veronica called from the kitchen. "Do you need something to eat? I'm ordering pizza!"
"No!" Alexandra called back. |

Alice looked at Lexie. "That's fine Lexie, Evan doesn't have to help, but I will." Alice said to her. "Did Jasper ever tell you why I left?" She asked Lexie wondering if she knew the whole story of her and Jasper.

"After you came back and I found out you were his wife he did. He said that you didn't agree with him about Crystal and you got pissed off and left. My words, not his." She didn't know who Crystal was, though she met everyone else in the family. |

Alice looked up and smiled at Lexie. "Yeah thats part of it. Now I don't know about you but I believe that if you love someone, I mean really love them you side with them in everything." Alice tried to explain to Lexie. "Also he never came after me, if he would have then none of this would have happened." Alice said to Lexie. She knew she wouldn't understand but Alice had to try. "But I know that you are too hard headed to understand that."

Alexandra smiled cheekily. "I may be hard headed but you obviously haven't met Ronnie yet." She laughed. "And as for the true love thing.....I feel that everyone has the right to have their own opinion and take whatever side they choose, even if it jeapodrizes their relationships. Because if the other person truely loves them, they'll respect their decisions." |
