Sadie walked downtown Forks in her new outfit from Dolce and Gabbanna. She'd spent the last day in Seattle shopping, taking a break from the reporters scene. The previous day, she'd had a meeting with the people from The Seattle Times. She was so excited. She'd gotten her intership!
Walking into the diner, she walked over to the bar and sat down. Frankie was on duty today. She smiled, "Hey Frank."
Frankie, a middle aged man, smiled. "Hey Sadie, what can I get for you sweetie?"
"Can I get a tuna sandwhich and a diet Coke?"
"Sure thing sweetie." Frankie walked away.
Sadie just sat there, smiling to herself and started texting her dad. She hadn't told him about her internship yet and he was sure she would be so proud. Hopefully he'd come to his senses and forget that tramp of a wife he had.

Being new in town, Caden was walking down the street of downtown mostly the whole day. It's been hours, since his ex didn't call him or he has heard his daughter's voice. He was dying to hear her angelic voice, well her laugh that is and couple of words. But his favorite word was Daddy. He was there when she called him dad, and since then he's been having great day whenever he's with her. Caden was thousand miles away from his daughter, roaming the streets while thinking about to call her or not. Sometimes, he just doesn't have the nerves to call her for so many reasons. Seeing diner, he went inside, looking around for a spot to sit. He couldn't find empty table so he walked to the bar and sat down at one of the empty chair next to brunette girl who was couple of years younger than he was. Caden took his sunglasses off and placed it on his head as he ordered Iced Tea with french fries. As he waited he took his phone out and texted his twin sister hoping that she'll find out what her niece is doing. outfit

As Sadie waited for her dad to text back and to get her food, she noticed a handsome brunette male come in the diner and sit down next to her. She just smiled faintly as he also texted.
Then, her phone buzzed.
Congrulations Sad! That's fantastic! I'm so proud of you!!!---Daddy
Sadie smiled and texted back.
Thanks Daddy. I love you!
Just then, Frankie came back with her food. "Here you go sunshine," he said smiling as he sat it infront of her. "And it's on the house."
"Why's that Frank?" she asked, smiling brightly.
"Because I heard you got yourself an intership with Seattle Times. That kind of royalty should be served."
Sadie giggled. "Well thanks Frank." She pulled a 20 dollar bill out of her purse and handed it to him. "Go buy yourself something pretty."
Frankie made a silly girl face and walked away as Sadie laughed at him. She bit into her sandwhich.

As soon as Caden finished texting his sister, he took a sip from his Iced Tea and waited for a reply back. Then again, if his sister was busy unpacking then she won’t see the text so he gave up on it and started eating his French fries. He couldn’t help it but to hear what the girl next to him was talking about. He was impressed on how a girl got an internship then again, the world is changing so might as well get over it. Caden turned to face look at the girl, smiling. "Congrats." Just then his phone went off and was glad that his sister finally texted him back. Reading the response, he relaxed a bit as he texted her back, thanking her.

Sadie was shocked to hear the boy next to her congratulate her. A complete stranger had just congratulated her on her intership! She smiled and with a little food in her mouth she said, "Thanks." She covered her mouth, swallowed, then put her hand out to him. "I'm Sadie."

Caden could careless on what people thought about him; it's just how he is. Sometimes, he loves being random. Who doesn't? When she talked, he laughed when she had food in her mouth. "I'm Caden." He shook her hand, smiling. Caden was being friendly to her without a doubt. He's nice with anyone, basically. Though not with people who are stuck up and snobs. "So you live around here?" Of course she does. What the hell is wrong with me?

Sadie nodded. "Yeah. For the last few months?" She nodded again, sollowing some of the food that had gotten stuck inbetween her gums. "What about you? I don't think I've seen you around before." She was sure she'd remember if she did. He was too handsome to forget.

Just talking to Sadie, Caden was little happy that he decided to move with his parents. At the same time, he knew that he could just stay with his daughter and attend the college over there. But he didn't want to leave his family....not just yet. Til then, he just staying at Forks, for while and enjoy his life that he has that doesn't count his daughter or his ex. Maybe...just maybe get over his ex.
When Sadie asked if he lived in Forks, he nodded. "I just moved here from Trenton, actually." Caden took a sip from his iced tea then looked at Sadie. "You're in high school. Am I right?" She looked like she was in high school but then again he could be wrong with that too.

Sadie nodded. "You are correct. I'm a senior. I can't wait to get the hell outta here! I'd much rather be in Seattle right now, or in San Diego with my father." She wouldn't get into her lifestory with a complete stranger. That would be totally weird.

Caden let out a small chuckle on what Sadie had said. Every senior wants to get out of high school as soon as possible. Though senior year isn't that bad either. They're just too busy with things that they forget when it's time for Prom or Graduation day. "That's great. I'm guessing you don't like it here." Who could love this kind of weather anyway? I'm sure that I don't but then again who knows I just moved here.

Sadie shrugged. "I'd rather be in San Diego with my dad. He and my mom are divorced and he got custody of me when my mom ran off with some guy and couldn't find her. But then my dad remarried and the tramp doesn't like me so instead of sticking up for his daughter, he sent me away to my mom."

Caden was eating his fries when Sadie told him what happened in her life. He didn't know what kind of father would do that, he knew that he would never to that to his child. "I'm so sorry. Just be glad that you're away from that lady and basically enjoying your life. Like they say, 'Life is short so enjoy it.'" Caden said as he looked at Sadie just to make sure that she isn't crying or anything. He just hates to see people in pain and can't fight the tears at all.

Sadie chuckled softly. "Yeah that's definately true." She took another bite of her sandwhich and he phone buzzed. It was her mom wanting to know if she wanted Thai for dinner. She texted her back telling her no, and that she wasn't going to be home until late.

Caden smiled and went back eating his food. Before he knew it, he full and had couple of fries in the plate. "Your parents are proud of no matter what you decide to do." As he was growing up, his parents always taught him to respect other people, never give up on anything, and always try to achieve your goals no matter how many they are in life. Caden paid for his food but instead of leaving the diner he sat there feeling like was back at the diner in his hometown.

Sadie looked back a Caden and smiled lightly. "Yeah," she said. She was almost looking at him in a whole new light. He was full of wisdom. It was off for someone she'd just met. Maybe he was what her life needed. A little wisdom. Especially under these circumstances.
