Carlisle had some time to recover from the bite, as he also had the help and support of his family. His wife Esme especially, he decided it was time to go on a small vacation, but to keep close to home in case there were any kinds of incidents involving Will showing up. Carlisle laid in his couch in their room, as he was waiting for Esme, as he didn't want to interupt anything she might be doing.

Esme was making sure everything around the house was taken care of before they left, Raine , Edward and tthe other would have to make sure Arkan did not run off and begin biting people they had to get him to a place after he was fully turned were he could not hurt anyone.
After She let the others know abut their plans about being away she headed back to Carlisle and her room. He was resting on the couch so she walked over and kissed him on the forehead, "Carlisle is bag finished being packed?" she asked sweetly stoking his hair. She smiled at him for a second before trying ot remember if she packed all of her things, which she did the evening before.."If you all packed Darling I am ready to go."

Carlisle smiled up at his wife and sat up and stood up and gently wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close and then gently leaned in for a kiss, with one hand he reaced up and gently cupped her face and then pulled back after a few seconds, "Yes we are all packed, the bags are all in the car, we are good to go, we will go back to our spot in the mountains", as Carlisle had built a log cabin outside, a place where he and Esme could go to get away from everything and hunt as well. He smiled at Esme again as he then lead the way of their room with his hand and fingers interlocked with hers as they headed downstairs and for the car.

Esme loved her husband so much, and she found that for some reason he was having a difficult time living with biting the boy, maybe it was because of what will had become but Esme wanted him to be ok again. "I talked to the others, told them if they needed anything to call and we will be back here fast. But i think Edward will have it under control, you did teach him well." Esme leaned her head on Carlisle shoulder and wrapped her arm around his. "Goodbye everyone "she said loudly enough to her and existed the house and headed to the garage.

Carlisle helped his wife into the car and then went into the drivers seat and started the car and slowly pulled out drove away as he waved at the rest of his family. As he drove, he reached over and took Esme hand in his and contiued to drive. "Esme, love, thank you for always sticking by my side, you and I and our family have been through so much and in spite of it all, I could always look at my side and there you were, hand in hand, and I can neveer stop loving you for that, not ever", he then took her hand to his lips and kissed it and then turned his attention back to the road.

Esme took her husband's thank yous and smiled, he kissed her and every time he did it was like the first time over again. "Your my husband, the man I love, and who I will continue to love forever there is no way I would not be by your side,"She said taking hold of his hand. She looked out the window and watched as the trees flew by. She thought abut the first time she met all those years ago, when he treated her broken leg. "You make me feel lucky everyday for changing me loving me for who I am and giving me the family I have always wanted. I love you"

Carlisle continued to fly down the road, as a vampire never had to worry about getting pulled over, as a vampire could detect a police officer a ways away and have plenty of time to react. He smiled as he saw the log cabin up ahead and pulled in and place the car in park, "you go ahead and get comfortable my love, I will get the bags", Carlisle would go and open the trunk, and would grab the bags and head to the inside of the log cabin, a personal get away for Esme and him.

Esme got in the care and headed inside the places all ready neat and tidy, but every place the went was always taken care of by someone if not by Carlisle himself. walking inside Esme saw some white and red roses on the mantel. She walked over and smelt them, before looking if everything else in the cabin was in order and of corse it was.Even in is time of pain he tried to make everything for their time way perfect. "Carlisle!" she said as he entered the door. "Have I ever told you, that I feel like you treat me like I am too special?" She giggled

Carlisle smiled over at his wife, he always wanted everything just to be right for his adoring wife, he loved her so much. He walked over to his wife, placing his hands around her waist, pulling her closely until their foreheads were almost touching. "I love you so much Esme, and I don't know if there is a moment when I am not thinking of ways to make you feel special, because you mean so much to me", with that he leaned and kissed her gently, taking in her scent as he did, happy that he and Esme would get some time alone together, as being with her always got him through the toughest of times.

"Carlisle Every day you make me feel special, you don't have treat me any special then usual ." Esme placed her head against Carlisle's and kiss his his nose then smiled. "So Darling " she placed her arm on his shoulders. "What would you like to do first? Go hunting, watch a movie, dance......? " she asked she really did not care this vacation, time to help him feel better about biting Arkan .
She wanted Carlisle to once again forget the taste of human blood upon his lips and the burning in his throat. Esme knew how difficult it was to fight the urge she had killed a few human in a past and it still made her upset that she did. She found Carlisle, Her husband to be the most loving, caring vampire she ever met. She loved his self control how he could work day in and day out at the hospital and resist the taste of human blood.He was such wonderful husband and she was glad she belonged to him. "Whatever you want to do love I am up for it."

Carlisle smiled that and gently leaned and kissed her softly and gently pulled back, as he felt worn out some from the bite, and decided he wanted to sit down and watch a movie with the love of his wife Esme. "I was thinking we could watch a movie first, I bought a couple hundred more, tell you what love, you pick the movie and we can cozy up on the couch together and go hunting afterwards", It was times like this that Carlisle felt truly blessed to have come across Esme and that he knew it was true love meant to be when Esme allowed him to bite and turn her.
He knew he could never nor would he ever trade her for anything else in this world, her love was so pure and unconditional to him, he wondered how he went so many decades without her. Carlisle went over to the couch and grabbed a spot and smiled at he was curious as to which movie she would pick for both of them to watch.

Esme looked thought the stack of movies trying to pick one she like to watch she pondered a bit before she pulled pulled out a movie choice she was even in the stack, Titanic . She walked over to Carlisle and showed him the dvd case. "Hey is this one ok Darling I know it is very old but I still sort of like watching it?" She ask with a smile. talking his hand in hers, Already knowing the answer she put it in the dvd player and climbed on the couch with Carlisle and placed her head on his Shoulder were she sat quietly for a few moment before looking up at him." I still remember the year the Titanic sank... Do you love?"

Carlisle smiled, and loved the movie choice, as it was a beautiful story even more so that he could have and hold Esme in his arms and love her the way she deserved to be loved. He smiled at her some and pondered her question, and sighed some "yeah how can I forget, it was a dark time for this country, so many lives lost and tragedy at it's worst, but inspiring as well, at how strong people love for one another could help them face whatever the outcome was, life or death", he gently leaned and kissed his wife and held the kiss some, gently cupping her face with one hand, "You always knew which movies to pick, and there is no where else I would rather be than here with you in my arms"

"Is there any other place to be then in your arms?"Esme touched his face like he was holding hers, she could still see some pain when she looked into his eyes. "Please don't let biting that boy eat you up inside you know I am here to talk to you right, I am your wife here to help you with all your problems" she kissed him again she wanted him to talk to her about his feeling like he use to but now that all these problems with Will cam up he seems to be locking thing up inside. "Please Carlisle talk to me"

Carlisle could only look away some, but then lean into in his wife some, resting his face against hers. He shook his head some, not knowing what to say to her, as he still felt guilt about Will, for turning him and having hope he would adopt the Cullen's way of life. He sighed some and looked up at his wife. "I guess that is why I hesitated the way I did, because I was worried that Arkon could turn out like Will and it had been so long since I turned someone, I was scared of what I might do or the level of my control"
