Rosalie was in her room wondering what was going on with her family. Since Jasper and Alice got remarried and Nessie was due anytime with her second child, the family was a mess. She never saw any of her siblings any more and she hadn't seen her husband in forever. She sat at her desk and thought back to the way that things used to be. She knew that they could not go back and that things in their family were different now, but she had never expected the distance in the family. She was not sure that she even had a family anymore. They used to be a very close family and they always relied on each other, even if they did not always see eye to eye on things.
Now they hardly spoke and when they did it was always about what needed to be done to maintain the Royal family and defend against others. Rose wished for the simpler times when they had just been the Cullen family. She missed the days that they used to all spent together in high school pretending to be human. She missed having lunch with her family and being close to all of them. Though she had a perfect memory, she could not remember the last time that the girls had gone on a shopping trip or when her and Jasper had spent any quality twin time together. She felt like she had not only lost her best friend but her twin and that was not good for Rosalie. She needed Emmett and Jasper to ground her. She needed them to tell her when she was being a bitch. She knew that with out them she would not be happy.
Rosalie sat there and thought things over. She thought about leaving for a while just to see if any one would notice that she was gone and look for her. She was not sure what was going on but she was sure that she was going to figure it out and save her family one way or the other.

Thing had been crazy for the family lately. this of course did not make Jasper feel any better about the current situations that were going on. He was now remarried to Alice who was pretty busy helping Nessie with the baby that was due any day. The rest of his family seemed kind of distant to him but he did not seem to be helping this at all. He had been trying to figure out how to go about the new threat, the children of the moon. He knew a battle was unavoidable, he could not exactly ask a real werewolf to leave and stop killing people. Although he kind of wished he could for the sake of things. Every once in a while he could feel the uneasiness of his family. He knew a lot of them were feeling the same way about things. They wished they could have their old lives back. The responsibilities that seemed to be mounting up on all of them were overwhelming.
When he reached the steps of the mansion his sister's scent caught his nose. He smiled as he made his way inside and up the stairs. This was just want he need. As he stepped into her room he tilted his head trying to calm her feelings that seemed to be rushing at him like bullets. "Is there anything I can do?" he asked softly. Jasper walked over to her and smiled, he wished he could read minds like Edward instead of just feel things. He could only guess what was getting her so worked up. He had a pretty good idea it was because the family seemed a little out of balance lately. "It's been a while. I apologize "

Rose did not need any special powers to know that her twin was near. Though they may not have been true twins in the since of biology, they were connected and next to Emmett, Jasper was the one that she was closest to in the family. When he walked into her room and ask if he could help that was enough to make she smile. She loved her twin and even though they were often apart lately, she knew that he would always be there when she needed him. "Just being here is helping, Jazz." She said as she turned to see him. She wanted to talk to him so much. She had not had time to talk to him since his return and she was feeling the strain of it. Jasper was the one that she always ran to when she needed comfort from her best friend. He was that and more the her. "It is okay that it has been a while. I know that you have been busy." She said as she smiled at him.
"I am just a little depressed right now. I miss our family. I never thought I would say that, but I do." Rose said as she moved to the sitting area in her room. She hoped that he would sit down and spend some quality brother/sister time with her. Rose always felt better after talking to Jasper and not just because he could control her emotions. Rose knew that Jasper would actually listen to her and understand her in a way that the rest of the family didn't. "I know that I am supposed to be the one that things she is better than everyone else, but that is not how I feel at all. I love all of our family and I hate that we are all separated. I miss the days when all we had to do was pretend to be high school students and spend our time together hunting and being a family." She said as she thought back to those days. She realized just how happy they had been back then. She thought about the family hunting trips that they all used to take and how they were always there for each other. She wished that things could be that way again.

Jasper walked over to the sitting area of his sister's room and took a seat by Rose. He listened to her with full attention and was not surprised to hear her concern for the family and how much she missed how things once were. Jasper had been feeling the same way. Despite his remarriage to Alice, he did not feel any closer to the family even after all that time he had spent away from them. "I'm sure a lot of us feel the same way. I think the only thing we can do is call a family meeting. We all need to get reorganized and focused. Things are only going to get worse if we don't." he said with a little concern in his voice as his southern accent flared up slightly.
Jasper had been in an army mindset for the longest time. More than anything he wanted his family all in one room so he could lay out the plan of not only how to get the family closer, but how they all could fight the new threat. Life did not always work like that though, and Jasper could not help but think getting everyone in the same room again would be a little like herding cats."But I'm here, if that even helps a little." He said looking at Rose with a smile. "And I'll be here as long as you want me to." Even though Jasper could not get everyone in the same room at that moment, he knew that being with Rose would be the next alternative.

Rosalie listened as her twin talked and she felt better. She knew that Jasper was always one that could make her better, but she also knew that Jasper did not control her mood, he just gave her the peace of mind that she needed. They had been twins for over a century now. She knew that he loved her and she loved him even if they did not always show it to the others. She was glad to have her brother home. When he mentioned calling a family meeting, she thought about it for a minute and knew how hard that would be. "I think that you are right, we need to have a family meeting, but I don't think that we would be able to get the family together right now. Not with Nessie about to have the baby and Emmett off on a hunting trip." Rosalie said as she thought about her husband.
She knew that Jasper was thinking about the other things that the family was going to have to face soon and she knew that they needed to be ready for it. She agreed with him that the family need to stick together. She smiled when he told her that he was there for her. "You being here always helps Jasper. You are my twin and next to Emmett, you are the one that I am closest to in the family. I love you as my twin. As for wanting you here, I will always want you in my life. Remember when you left I went crazy and tried to take out the forest." She said smiling at him. She was still trying to make that up to Esme.
She moved closer to her brother and did something that she normally would not do because of his powers, but right now she needed to be close to her brother. She laid her head on his shoudler and wrapped her arm through his. "Thank you for alway being there for me. I know that I don't say that enough but you always help when I need cheering up." She said in a soft sisterly voice that she did not use often. She knew that Jasper would understand her better than anyone else, even Emmett at times.

Jasper gave a smile. "I understand the family is all busy with other things but as soon as we all get the chance to breath it might be best to have a meeting and regroup." Jasper watched his twin speak and it warmed him up so much inside to be with her. He had missed her more than he had realized and felt guilty for not being there for her sooner. He gave a chuckle as Rose mentioned the forest had almost gotten taken out. "Well luckily that forest is still there." he grinned. "I hate wasting trees." he teased with another smile. Jasper gave a nod as Rose thanked him.
"Anytime. I try to do my best to be there for you. I know I am not always the best when it comes to stopping by but lately I really want to focus on fixing those broken ties with the family since it has seemed like forever since I have actually been apart of it. You make me feel better about everything though. You understand me in a way no one else can understand me, other than Alice of course but she is on a different level." he smiled.

Rose smiled as her brother teased her about her temper. She knew that she had a tendency to over react but she was very protective over him. Rose loved her twin and would to anything to protect him even from their family. She had going crazy when he left the family and she was extremely hurt when she did not hear from him. When she found out what happen to him she when after the ones that caused her brother pain. She would not stand for anyone to hurt him. She had been mad at Alice for a long time after Jasper left. Rose was happy to have this time with her twin. She knew that he could feel that she was happy. "I am glad to be spending time with you. We need more time to be twins and not have to worry about everything else. We dont get that brother - sister time that we used to get. We need a hunting trip for something to just relax and not worry about everything that we have to take care of."
Rose thought back over everything that had happen to the family since they became the "Royal Family" she understood the role that the Volturi had to play now. "I have a new respect for the Volturi now and everything that they went through ruling over our world. I know that they were not a family like we are but it is still hard be have to govern our race. I see what having to rule is doing to our family and I hate it." She said as she looked out the window of her room.
