She knew that they were both probably itching like crazy now to get away from this situation. However awkward they found it, she found it just as amusing, and decided to bow out graciously...for now anyways. Emery smiled a cocky smile and backed the rest of the way out of the room. She turned as she grabbed the doorknob and pulled it shut behind herself. She walked back to her room, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.
Once tucked safely back in her bed, she tried her best to go back to sleep, however her attempts to go back to sleep were an epic fail. So, instead, she settled on finishing the book that she had been working on lately. Then she picked up her guitar and plucked around on the strings for a while, sang a couple of songs that she had written a while back and then realized just how bored she really was. She needed a best friend, or a boyfriend. So she began to think of places that she could go today to find one or the other or both.

Cody breathed a sigh of relief as Emery left the room, leaving Aviary and himself to deal with the aftermath of what had just happened. It was awkward enough having your brand new girlfriend surprise attack you while you were in your boxers, dead asleep and not expecting it. But, to have your sister walk in on you while you were in said boxers with your girlfriend in the room was just plain embarrassing beyond compare. However, now that he was fully clothed and Emery was gone, he knew that he and Aviary could get on with the rest of their day uninterrupted...hopefully. Turning back to Aviary, he coughed uncomfortably and tried to get rid of the intense heat that surrounded his face from the humiliation of having Emery walk in at the exact wrong moment.
"Well...at least we've gotten the ever awkward 'sister catches you in your boxers with your girlfriend' moment out of the way," he chuckled as he grabbed his wallet and keys from the desk by his bed. Looking toward the door and back to the window, he tried to decide which would be the best route for an escape. "So, shall we try getting out the front door without getting caught again...or would the window be a better idea?" he asked jokingly as he walked over to her and pulled her waist in for a hug to let her know that things were fine.

“I think my window days are over for now any way.” Aviary said with a smile before facing him to give him a kiss. “Why don’t we try to be extra sneaky and maybe your sister will just let things slide. I would not recommend picking on Emery anytime soon, it seems like she has a few things to dangle over your head.” She said blushing a little bit. “Lets just go and forget about things, if I stay here any longer I might say or do something to make this moment even more awkward.” Aviary said with a laugh.
Aviary stayed close by Cody’s side, she was happy to be with him and was glad her little moment with Emery was over. She took a mental note that if she ever wanted to play a prank on Cody again, she would pick something that would not wake his sister up also.

Cody couldn't help but chuckle as Aviary declared her window days were done for the time being. In all honesty, Cody would have jumped out the window just to get out of that situation and away from what was hanging over his head now. However, for the moment, he forgot all of that when Aviary pulled him in for a kiss. She had a way of doing that whenever he was least expecting it, but he liked being surprised. As she mentioned not picking on Emery for a while, he mentally groaned, knowing how difficult it was going to be as she was his sister, so it was his perpetual job to pick on her. "Alright, no picking on Emery until she forgets this ever happened...gotcha," he jokingly teased. "Then again...she never forgets anything! I swear to you she has the memory of ten people instead of just one."
Shaking his head, he knew that this was going to be more difficult come times when he really wanted to say something snide or sarcastic to his sister, but he would swallow his pride for those moments. "Let's get out of here," he said, taking Aviary's hand and leading her down the stairs to the front door of his house, where he silently opened it and crept outside. He could only hope that the slightest noise that they were making would not wake up his parents because that is all he would need now since he had already been given the most embarrassing moment of his life from his sister...his parents would just make this day grand if they woke up now. Once they made it outside, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Off to Port Angeles now?" he asked, giving her a smile.
(ooc: we'll just keep posting in this thread as they go to port angeles)

“Why not, we should not keep Port Angeles waiting.” She said with a wink. “I’m sure if we can shake things up at your house we can have one hell of a time mixing these up there.” she said with a grin. She knew this all probably sounded cheesy and dorky but she did not mind , there was no other possible why she could embarrass herself more after what had just happend. As they got in the car, Aviary buckled her seatbelt and then looked out the window at the trees that were starting to turn an even darker red and yellow. She looked back at Cody as she waited for him to get in and start up the car.
“ So do you have any things we can do once we get there?” Aviary honestly did not care what they did as long as she was with Cody things did not really matter. She waited for Cody to reply as she tried to picture how the day would play out in her mind. She knew that this day would just keep getting better and better the more time she spend with Cody.

Cody couldn't help but smile as Aviary made the comment about mixing things up in Port Angeles. He knew that wherever he and Aviary went would be one hell of a time because of their explosive personalities, especially Aviary's because she was so energetic and fun. He walked around to the driver's side of his truck, climbing in and starting it up before buckling his own seatbelt. Looking out the window, he could tell that it was going to be one freezing day in Washington, so he was glad he brought a jacket in case it was needed later.
Taking his eyes away from the sky, he looked over at Aviary as he began to back out of his driveway. "Well I was thinking we could go grab lunch at this little Italian place I know of there," he began as he turned down the street to make his way toward the little highway between Forks and Port Angeles. "And after that...we could just walk around and do whatever strikes us as fun, which I'm sure we'll find something we can do to get ourselves into trouble." His grin grew a little wider as he pushed the gas petal and began to drive toward Port Angeles.

Aviary smiled once Cody told her of the plans he had in mind for that day. “That sounds like an amazing day to me.” she said with a smile. “I have no objections to any of that.” She thought for a moment. “Good choice on the food also, Italian is one of my favorites, next to Mexican food which you can imagine I got a lot of when I was living in Texas.” Aviary was super exciting to be with Cody at this time. she seemed to be alive each minute she spent with him. Cody was not like any other guy that Aviary had met before. To Aviary Cody was one in a million, and she was glad fate had smiled upon her and given her a gift like him.
“ I have a feeling today is going to be a wonderful day.” she said with a smile. “I can’t wait to see what trouble we will get ourselves into.” she said with a laugh.

Cody grinned as Aviary complimented his plan for the day, especially how they were going to find some trouble to get themselves into. It was inevitable that trouble would probably find them as it always did for him when he was just by himself, but so long as he was with Aviary, he didn't mind much of anything really. As he drove, the road seemed to pass below them without much notice. Driving was something that came naturally to Cody as he had technically started when he was fourteen. His father had let him drive the truck around all the time without a permit, so he was well-practiced in driving.
Looking over at Aviary, he let go of the wheel with his right hand and took her's to hold it in between the two seats. "I'm really glad you broke into my room and woke me up," he said jokingly, kissing the back of her hand once. "Otherwise I'd probably have slept the day away after last night's escapade with my dad and our friends." Cody knew he was going to be exhausted when he got home from Port Angeles, but he didn't care. Aviary made the exhaustion well worth it. He was the luckiest guy in the world as far as he was concerned.

As Cody kissed Aviary hand and admitted to her that he would have slept the day away if it was not for her creative wakeup call Aviary could not keep back the smile that was beginning to spread across her face. “I thought that's what girlfriends are supposed to do, keep their boyfriends from sleeping.” She said in a sarcastic tone. “Anyway, I’m glad you approve of my antics. It’s not every day that you find someone that is ok with you sneaking into their room and blowing an air horn.” She said laughing.
Aviary was so happy she was with Cody, each minute even second that was spent with Cody felt like an amazing dream. She would often find herself thinking about Cody when he was not with her, and she knew through her worries and thoughts that Cody was really near and dear to her heart. “ Don’t get too distracted by me killer, I would rather you were watching the road then me. But I understand if I’m too prefect for you to take your eyes off of.” She said with an even bigger smile.

Cody could not help but laugh as his beautiful girlfriend used her sarcasm so fluently. It was almost like she spoke it as a second language, which just made him love her all the more for that reason. "Well you're about the only one I'd allow to break into my room like that," he joked. "If it had been my sister...well, that would have been a much different story." Cody chuckled and knew how true that was because Emery was exactly the kind of sister that would do something like that to him just to piss him off. In fact, it had happened once before when they had still lived in Portland, back when her parents were still alive.
As Aviary jokingly chastised him for not watching the road, he couldn't keep from smiling. The grin on his face probably looked more ridiculous than anything else, but he didn't care. "You are perfect," he agreed, "but I would probably be better off watching the road so I don't get us killed before we even get to Port Angeles." Cody looked up to see a road sign that said twenty-five miles to Port Angeles. Pushing the gas petal down a little further, he pressed the speed just a little over the limit, just so that they could get there a bit faster. He was eager to start his day with his girlfriend.

“ I would prefer not to die before we got there too.” Aviary remarked with a smile. She looked up just in time to see the road sign for Port Angeles, which was only twenty-five miles away. “After all we are so close.” she said with a laugh. Looking out the window she watched as they pasted by more signs reminding them of the speed limit and so forth. Aviary knew that they were going a little bit over but she did not seem to mind. The faster they got there the better.
Aviary tried to picture how the day would go in her mind. She smiled as she though about how Cody might try to do various things to impress her or make her laugh. Aviary then began to wonder what awkward things she might end up saying considering she was so go at it.

Cody could only laugh at his girlfriend's sarcasm, knowing how much that he appreciated it as it brought a sense of humor to his life. Whereas he could only take so much of his sister's sarcasm, he could sit there and listen to Aviary all day long and never get tired of it. As he eased down his speed, he saw the city limits sign for Port Angeles. He was glad that they were finally there as he passed the city limits and found a parking space downtown. It was early enough in the day that there weren't many people out just yet, so he was happy to not have to hunt down a parking spot in the middle of Timbuktu, even if this was just Port Angeles.
Once they were parked, Cody hopped out of the car and walked around to Aviary's door, opening it up for her and holding out his hand. If it was one thing he learned early in life, it was how to be a proper gentleman. Civalry was not all dead with him, which was something he was fast learning to appreciate as girls seemed to like it. "So...where would you like to go first now that we've made it here alive?" he asked, throwing a grin back to her.

“Surprise me.” Aviary said with a smile before kissing Cody on the cheek. Aviary knew that Cody would probably pick a place that she would love no matter what because she was easy to please. Aviary pulled herself closer to Cody and allowed him to escort her to the place of his choice. “I have a feeling that today is going to be an amazing day.” she said smiling at him. Aviary knew that things would play out just fine as long as she was with Cody. She could spend the day in a cardboard box and be content with Cody.
As Aviary wanted for Cody to pounder his decision, she began to daydream about all the activities that they might be doing that day. She smiled content with life at the moment and looking forward to what things Cody would think of.
