Edward had not seen Bella much since the party and the trip to the meadow. He was missing her and knew that they needed to start spending more time together again. It seemed like since they returned to Forks that they never had any time together. He entered the house through the garden off of their bedroom. They were hardly ever at the cottage together anymore.
He looked around the room and did not see her there. "Bella love, are you here?" He called to her. He could tell that her scent was fresh in the room, but that did not mean that she was still in the cottage. He was always at a disadvantage with her since he could not hear her thoughts. Edward wanted more than anything to have his beautiful wife in his arms. He wanted her at his side, like they used to be. Edward craved the old days when he would sneak into her room at night after Charlie was asleep. He missed the times when she was a teenager and they were in class together and going out doing things together.

Bella stood in her closet with a small crease between her eyebrows as the feeling of defeat came over her. She had struggled to start rearranging her closet ever since what appeared to be a sickened Alice had last stepped foot in it. Hoping to avoid a complete and utter wardrobe makeover, she had promised herself that she would instead go through the closet and rearrange it so that it was up to the standards of her sister. A smile came across her lips as she could take in Edward's scent before she even heard him speak.
Bella left the closet quickly, running to be by Edward as quickly as she could. The moment she saw him she could feel herself already jumping onto his back as she wrapped her arms and legs around him. She kissed the side of his neck playfully as she couldn't help but grin, " Hello Mr.Cullen," She spoke quietly as she kissed his cheek again before she jumped down, putting her hands in her back pockets. "Where have you been?" She smiled, wondering not only where he had been earlier in the morning, but also knowing that they both had not done a very good job at maintaining their private life with one another.

Edward heard Bella when she started moving in the closest. He knew that she was there but he did not turn around to face her. He felt her spring onto his back and kiss him. "Hello to you, Mrs. Cullen." He responded to her with a grin on his lips. He had missed her intensely. When she jumped down from his back, he turned around to face her. When she asked where he had been, he knew that was going to be hard to explain. "Mostly I have been at the meadow, thinking." He said to her.
Edward could not control himself anymore and pulled his wife in for a proper kiss. He locked his lips on hers and took his time kissing her. When he finally pulled away, he smiled that crooked smile that she loved. Edward knew that they needed more time together and now that things were settling down, they should get that time. Edward had also been thinking about returning to school with the rest of the family. It was time that they started acting like human teenagers again. "I have been thinking about things and I think that we need to start playing our human parts again. We left school when Lexie and Ronnie came, but they are gone now. We should return to our normal way of life. It is not right that Carlisle is working at the hospital and we are not upholding our parts." Edward said thinking of his father again.

Bella smiled as Edward pulled her in for a kiss and rested her hands against his chest, allowing herself to melt against his frame. The way he kissed, held her in his arms, it was all addicting. Each time it happened, she craved for the next touch. She stood on her toes to kiss the tip of his nose after he had pulled away and did nothing to stop the foolish grin that had come over her lips. She narrowed her eyebrows slightly as he mentioned that he had been at the meadow thinking. She wondered for a small moment if there was some reason he had been to the meadow, without her, to think. She scratched the side of her arm as she realized that the likelihood of him being upset with her at this moment was unlikely and calmed herself, though she did wish that she had been there for him when he had clearly so much on his mind.
Bella scrunched her nose as he mentioned the idea of them going back to school, and smiled softly as he spoke of Carlisle. "Yes well, Carlisle would never dream of not being a doctor. It's who he is, it sort of defines him. It's in his nature to want to help others," Bella tilted her head to the side, giving it a small thought as she sighed. She knew he was right, it was their turn to keep up appearances. She wasn't entirely worried about not attending school, but she did feel concern for having to force Carlisle to constantly cover their actions whenever a local would ask him what his family was up to. "Alright" She said as she narrowed her eyes slightly at him, "I think I can handle girls being dazzled by you on a daily basis again," She lifted the side of her lips into a smile as she looked at him, knowing that he did exactly that to her everyday.

Edward smiled as Bella talked about his father. Edward knew that Carlisle would never stop being a doctor, he was his purpose in immortality. When she talked about them going about to school, he almost laughed as the comment about the other girls. "Bella love, you know that you are the only woman that can dazzle me. I don't see girls like that. I have the perfect woman as my wife." He said as he kissed her. "Besides, Forks High School is where I saw you for the first time and fell in love with you." He said to her smiling that crooked smile again, knowing that it melted her heart.

Bella bit back the smile as Edward spoke. It seemed entirely impossible to her that after all this time, he was still so completely and unconditionally perfect in her eyes. " Well, it seems you have put a lot of thought into this," She smiled, quickly looking into his eyes as he smiled crookedly at her. Unfair advantage She thought to herself as she allowed herself to take in his moment of absolute dazzle. "Okay, I think it sounds like a great idea," She put her hands in her back pockets, knowing that if she was this serious about something as he seemed to be, that he would follow her blindly and that she should do the same, "As long as you walk to me class," She raised her eyebrow at him jokingly. It had been a while since they were able to be carefree and she knew that she was probably going overboard, but she was so happy that she couldn't even contain herself. " And I don't have to go to prom," She smirked as she shook her head at him, knowing that he could convince her to do just about anything in the world with simply lifting his lips into a crooked smile.

Edward smiled as Bella agreed to go back to school. He knew that they would have every class together. "I plan on being in every class with you, my love." He said as he smiled as her. He knew that her beauty was breathtaking. She was beautiful as a human and even more so as a vampire. "I don't plan on letting you out of my site, one of the other boys may try to steal you from me." He said to her. Edward was already planning on the classes that they would take and how much fun it would be to be with the family again.
When Bella mentioned prom, Edward smiled again. "Of course we will go to prom, love. You are a graceful dance, just like the rest of us. You are not a human anymore, love." He reminded her. He knew that Bella loved to dance with him, but he had to push her sometimes.

Bella grinned as Edward mentioned that he had planned on them being in every class together, “That’s good, I can just let you do all the work then,”. She scrunched her nose playfully before she smiled. She took a few steps closer to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and stood on her toes in order to rest her forehead against his. “Edward, wild horses couldn’t tear me away from you,” A small smirk came across her lips as two things entered her mine. One, it wouldn’t be completely ridiculous to her anymore to even consider the fact that wild horses may actually have an agenda. She had been exposed to so much, that it seemed like hardly anything was impossible. The next, wild horses seemed to sound pretty appealing at the moment. An internal groan entered her mind as Edward mentioned that they would be going to Prom. It wasn’t a secret that she would do whatever it took to make him happy, but it still wasn’t something that she was entirely comfortable with. She bit the bottom of her lip as she quickly weighed out her options. Bella brought her arms so that they were around his neck as she decided that the best way to avoid that situation, would be to distract him from it. “Well, we have plenty of time to figure out the details of what might or might not happen,”. She said quietly before she kissed beneath the side of his jawbone, placing one of her hands against his chest.

Edward smiled when Bella said that she would leave everything to him. He knew that she was still thinking like a human. He wondered if she would ever start to think like a vampire. She was the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen and always would be. He knew that no one else could ever hold a candle to her in his eyes. "I am not letting you out of my sight. Some teenage boy may try to steal you from me." Edward said with a smile to her. He knew that there was no chance in that but it did not matter to him. He did not want to go back to school with out being with her.
When she changed the subject, he did not disagree. He knew that in the end he would get her to the Prom, so he let the subject drop in favor of a different one. When she kissed his neck, he picked her up into his arms and kissed her. Edward would never get tired of their alone time and he would make up for the time that they had been apart. He held her there in his arms and debated on whether or not to take her to the bed. Edward knew that he had never lost his passion for her and that it had not calmed down any either. He decided that the bed was to far away and he dropped to the floor with her in his arms. He laid her down and kissed down her neck.

Bella bit the inside of her lip as Edward smiled. It seemed unfair to her how incredibly beautiful he was at all times, no matter his level of effort. A small smirk came across her lips as he spoke, “ I am not letting you out of my sight. Some teenage boy may try to steal you from me,”. She giggled for a moment, thinking to herself how unlikely that very situation was. “Well I guess you would know of his plans before he could act on them,” She said teasingly as she laughed quietly. Bella licked the edge of her lips, surprised for a moment that when the sun had risen that day, she had no intention of going back to school. But now that she knew it was something had thought so much over, and seemed dead-set on doing, she couldn’t even consider any other option, and here they were joking about it. His power over her was legendary, something that she felt put upon others would be cruel, but when placed with him it was just natural.
Bella was slightly surprised when Edward picked her up and kissed her, but felt herself melt into his chest right away as she kissed him. A small smile came across her lips as she could tell that he seemed to be debating something and was just as instantly placed on the ground. A quiet giggle came from her lips as she went to say something but was instantly distracted by him kissing the side of her neck. Even though it was unnecessary, it was a certain reflex that came in as she took in a sharp breath of air and brought her hands to the back of Edwards neck so that she could kiss him.

When Edward finally stopped kissing her, he answered her last question. "You are right there, I will hear in their thoughts the minute they think your name." He said to her and he ran his hand down the front of her shirt to the waist and crumpled it in his hand as he kissed her lips again and worked his way down to her neck as he pulled her shirt over her head and off. Edward and Bella, were always having to steal moments away to be together laterly and he did not like that. Edward loved their nights together and knew that they needed more of those nights. They needed to get back into the routine that they had been in before they left for London, all those years ago. Edward knew that as the Royal couple it was difficult to maintain that balance but they needed to find it somehow.
Edward never liked being away from Bella and he wanted her at his side for all eternity. Edward knew that they could not spend every hour together, but he planned on spending as many together as possible. "I love you, Isabella Marie Swan-Cullen." He whispered in her ears as he traced it with his tongue. He knew that he was not going to let her up until she was completely happy.

If at all possible, Bella felt as though the wind had been knocked out of her as Edward ran his hands over her before clinching her shirt in his hand and taking it off. It was these moments that she knew that had she still been capable of having a heartbeat, it would’ve been pounding in her ears by now. The thirst that she held for him outweighed anything she had ever craved in her entire existence, and it still seemed insane to her that she was the one he had chosen to be with. The feeling of a shiver went down her spine as he said he loved her, and she bit into her bottom lip to keep from smiling like a fool.
In a swift movement she turned her face towards him, placing her hands around his cheeks as she kissed him before forcing him lay against his back and leaning against his chest. She smiled as she leaned forward to kiss beneath his ear and the side of his jaw, “And I love you,”. Bella leaned back, trailing her kisses down to his collar bone as her hands went under his shirt before ripping it off.

Edward smiled that crooked smile that Bella loved so much as she took his shirt of. He was glad that he did not have to be careful with her like he did when she was human. He pulled her face back to his as he lefted her into his arms to carry her to the bed. Edward thought back over their life together and knew that she was his true soulmate. They had been through so much together and were still in love as much now as they were then. He still could not stand to be away from her.
He sat her on the bed and pulled the rest of he clothes off. He continued to kiss her and moved his lips down her neck.

He lay with her in his arms and thought back to their first night together after she was turned. He remembered telling her that it usually took about a decade for them to get to a point were they could balance being away from each other. Now they had been together for almost four decades and still had not found that balance. He wondered if they ever would. He knew that their love was not like any other.
