Elizabeth kept her distance from the house. she smiled as she became more a more sure that This was indeed the Cullen’s house. Every once in a while she could see various people passing by the windows, she began to keep count of how many happened to be in the house. When Elizabeth was satisfied with things she began to make her way back into the forest. Tonight was supposed to be another full moon; she hoped that she would come in contact with another victim. When she got further into the forest she began to make out some voices a few miles away from the Cullen’s house. She could over hear one of them who appeared to be the oldest talking. “I bet your too scared to stay out here. You could not even last five minutes.” “Yes I can.” the other boy objected.
The others boys began to call out names as they left this boy alone. Elizabeth’s eyes lit up with excitement. She was not certain when the full moon would indeed come up but she could feel that it would be very soon. Elizabeth pressed her lips together and waited as she carefully watched the boy who sat on a nearby log. Elizabeth stood motionless behind a tree waiting for her transformation. She was growing rather bored with how long it was taking other people of forks to notice her presence.
When the moon lit up the nights sky, Elizabeth feel to the floor watching her hand form into huge paws. She looked up to the sky and gave a howl. Within seconds she was ready for the attack. She saw the boy running as fast as he could towards the opening of the woods. Elizabeth was faster though, and before she knew it she was hovering over the boy who now was lying motionless on the forest floor. Elizabeth darted off into the woods, killing a few animals that happened to jump out in front of her. When morning came Elizabeth was long gone from the damage she had done the night before.

Elena had been taking her morning walk when she came across a few dead animals in the grass. A different scent caught her attention from the distance though and Elena could tell it was human blood and wondered if someone happened to be hurt. Elena took a deep breath trying to control her urges as she got closer to where the smell was coming from. Looking down at the dead boy, she covered her mouth. The smell was a lot stronger than she thought it would be. Her body shock as she tried to keep herself under control. It did not take long for Elena to realize that she needed to get away from the body.
Elena got far enough away from the body to be able to collect her thoughts. From the looks of things finding a dead boy in the woods seemed to be something rather abnormal to her. she wondered who she should go too. The Cullen’s mansion was a few miles off, and as she thought more and more about the situation, Elena was more and more willing to report this to the Cullen’s. Elena wondered what kind of thing could have done something like this. immediately her mind went to the la push wolves, but she had a feeling it was something a lot different.

Alice had been busily cleaning up the last of the decorations from the Halloween party, which had been a huge success in turnout of humans, vampires, and wolves alike. However, the humans remained blissfully unaware of any supernatural beings, which was exactly how it should be. One human getting too curious would send the Cullens packing for Alaska for a century so everyone would forget the nonsense of vampires and such. But, no one had even suspected yet, so Alice knew her family was safe for the time being. As she finished the last of the cleaning, she decided to take a walk in the forest near the mansion, just to get out and maybe do some light hunting while she was at it. As she walked, she caught the foul scent of something dead in the woods. She came across a few dead animals, but not the work of a vampire. And then she saw it.
The lifeless body of a young boy, lying in the middle of the forest. His small body was mutilated by something...something she had never seen before in her entire immortal life. Kneeling near the body, she picked up the scent of something unfamiliar. It was like the La Push wolves, but different. Alice knew the wolves of La Push would never do something like this. The poor boy had not stood a chance against whatever attacked him. "Oh god," she murmured, covering her mouth in disgust. Pulling herself together, she stood up from the scene and took off as fast as she could. However, another scent drew her attention and she saw Elena standing in the middle of the forest, absolutely mortified. Halting, she walked over to Elena. "Elena...did you..." she tried to get the words out of her mouth. Alice had never seen something so horrific and she was certain neither had Elena if she had seen the boy's body. "Did you see the body that's nearby?"

Elena was somewhat relieved once Alice approached her. “ Elena…did you….Did you see the body that’s nearby.” Elena nodded, her hands still covering her mouth. She was rather shocked at the whole scene. Elena had seen many dead bodies in her life time, but none had really horrified her as much as the boy’s. “I was about to go over to warn you guys about it. I’m kind of glad you found me. I’m not sure what it is, it seems a lot different than any of the la push wolves.” Elena looked up at Alice. “I think we need to stop whatever it is before things get worse, whose know if this is the first time it has killed someone here.” Elena filled with dread as her heart began to brake for the innocent people whose lives might be in danger.
“I imagine we might want to meet with the wolves, I think we need all the help we can get on this one.” Elena said shaking her head in disbelief. “I have had my fair share of dead bodies, being the kind of vampire I am, but I have never been so shaken by one before. I almost feel embarrassed for the way I’m acting.”

Alice was surprised to see Elena so shaken by what she had seen, but at the same time could understand because she felt just as shaken by the image of the poor innocent boy in the forest. "Don't apologize for being a little shaken," she said comfortingly. "Things like this are horrific and it's only natural to be shocked by seeing something like that." Alice held her little hands in front of her, wringing them back and forth in anxiety. She knew that whatever had done this was not a shape-shifter or a vampire. It was far too malicious to be something either of those groups would normally do in this area, especially with the entire Cullen family just right there. Everyone in the vampire world knew the Cullen's diet and preference of living among humans and the La Push wolves would never kill a human.
Sighing and pressing her fingers to her temples, she tried to see if there was any immediate danger to the family. Her visions were of one woman. She was a red-head and very beautiful, but Alice could get no more than that. Whoever it was had not made any decisions as to her plans yet, which was frustrating. Looking at Elena, she breathed deeply. "Whatever it is, she is definitely trying to send a message," she said quickly. "We need to meet with my family and the La Push pack as soon as possible, but for now we need to run through the area to make sure nothing is out there." Alice knew that scanning the perimeter was the best idea at the moment. It was something she had learned from Jasper years ago. Pushing aside the thought of him, she looked back to Elena.

Elena listened to what things Alice had to say about the situation, slowly she let the words begin to soak in. “What kind of message do you suppose it’s…I mean she is trying to send?” Elena’s eyes narrowed and a flare of anger began to rise up within her, a low growl escaped her lips. “I won’t have any problem making sure whatever it is will never kill again, this is one thing I won’t be sad about destroying.” As her anger died down, she looked back at Alice with soft eyes. “Is there anyone that might be in danger, is there a person you know of that might be a target? Or do you think this thing is just killing as she pleases?”
Elena waited for Alice to reply but knew that maybe all her questions could not be answered right then. “I will do whatever I can to help you patrol.” She offered. “We can’t let any more deaths happen. The more we let her kill, the more unsafe this town is going to get.”

Candice laughed as her brother chased her through the forest. She knew she was not nearly as fast as him, but she could tell that her brother was going easy on her. “I thought you were supposed to be an amazing baseball player.” She teased yelling back at him. “Aren’t baseball players supposed to be able to run Ashlan?” she jumped over a stump and a rock before coming to an abrupt halt. Ashlan over estimating his speed ran into her sending them both the ground. “Um, it defeats the purpose of chasing you when you just stop Candice.” He said with a grin. Quickly she brought her hand up to his mouth and covered it. “Shut up for a second.” Candice rose to her feet and watched as two women in the distance seemed to be discussing something. “They are vampires too, don’t worry.” Ashlan said very empathic tone. “You don’t have to freak out over every vampire you see in forks because chances are they are not the--.”
“That’s Alice Cullen.” She said interrupting her brother. “Well I suppose it might be wise to introduce ourselves after acting like kids for the past several hours.” Ashlan joked. Candice had not been too fond on moving to forks, but Ashlan had insisted that they really get to know their vampire roots a little bit better. Candice was pretty sure Ashlan was just bored of having no excitement in New Mexico where they had formally been staying the past few months.

Ashlan watched as his sister motioned for him to come with her. Ashlan rolled his eyes because it seemed like that she could never do things without them. “You think she might enjoy playing baseball?” Candice punched him in the arm. “What I was only asking missy. You know it’s been a while since I have been able to play.” Ashlan knew that he annoyed his sister when he did not take things seriously especially when he joked around about the royal family. “Maybe we should find a place to stay or something before we go introducing ourselves to the whole town.”
It was then that Ashlan caught sight of the body’s body. “I knew I smelt blood” he said grabbing his sister’s arms and stopping her to make sure she caught sight of the mangled boy’s body. “Something is not right. Are you sure it’s ok that we go over there, I have a feeling they might be taking about this sorry thing.” She said trying to resist the blood. “Maybe we can help Ashlan.” Candice begged. Ashlan nodded and allowed her sister to go over to the women. “My name is Candice and this is my brother, we are new here in town and we could not help but notice that body lying on the floor. Is everything ok?” She said trying to figure out what was going on. “Sorry to interrupt you too, my sister does not seem to really be able to tell the difference between important and unimportant conversations.” he said with a smile, apologizing for butting into business that was not obviously there concern, but like always Candice always made it that way. Candice slightly glared at Ashlan with some distaste for his last statement.

Elena turned to face the two new visitors that had approached them. She raised an eyebrow and smiled as the two seemed to be fighting slightly. Elena was somewhat impressed by the fact she was starting to feel a little more comfortable despite everything that had happened. “We are not too sure as to what is going on. You two did not happen to be out in the woods last night and heard anything strange.” Elena was starting to sound slightly like a detective as she tried to pry for whatever answers she could. “We would have been in the forest, but my sister prefers beds to leaves.” Ashlan said with a grin.
“We stayed in a hotel to too far from town.” he continued. Candice bit her lip and was starting to turn a little red, Elena noticed how her eyes seemed to be screaming “stop it.” and her face was becoming red with embarrassment. Elena nodded and then turned back to Alice. “What do you think it might be?” just then Candice spoke up. “Is there anything we can do to help?” Elena looked back at Candice who seemed a little too frighten at this point as if the imagine of the boy was just not starting to get to her. Ashlan being able to immediately read his sister expression began to rub her back as a way to comfort her.

Alice went over the violent images in her mind a few more times, trying to decipher any defining features of the woman in her vision. She saw that the woman was definitely a red-head, standing about five foot four or so, and was alluringly beautiful. But, Alice's vision faded again as she paced a few steps. Alice couldn't respond to any of the questions Elena was asking at the moment because her visions were so scattered about this woman who was apparently on a killing spree in the area of Forks. And before she could reply to Elena, she saw two unfamiliar vampires walk in their direction, introducing themselves as Candice and Ashlan. Alice was still wrapped in her vision for a few moments before she could properly introduce herself as she saw a flicker of a wolf she had never seen.
"I'm Alice Cullen," she said, stepping in their direction after they had replied to Elena's question about being in the woods the previous night. Looking back at Elena, she sighed and shook her head. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might be a real werewolf...not like the shape-shifters in La Push, but one that changes on full moons and kills people for sport," she said in a hushed tone. Pressing her finger to her lip, she went deeper into thought. Werewolves were the only real thing the Volturi had been afraid of because they were so volitile and now they were facing one in the Forks area. Turning to the two newcomers, she smiled appreciatively. "Thank you for offering your help, but I must speak with my family before we decide any course of action. If you want to stick around, we'd be glad to have all the help we can get if this is going to become a bigger problem in the future."

“Thank you Candice.” Ashlan said in a low voice of sarcasm. He was not the least bit pleased which how his sister always seemed to butt into other people business, but this was how she was. Even as a human she had an unremarkable way of getting herself caught up into bad situations. Ashlan did admit that at one point they were both involved in some of the most violent crimes in Chicago’s history, but Ashlan never liked to think of himself as a murder, only a thief. Since the 1920’s they had given up their hobby of robbing banks and bootlegging beer considering it was no longer illegal. “Oh yes, I am sure we can help in some way. He have some history with crimes.” His sister announced. Ashlan eyes lit up with annoyance. “I can’t believe she just actually said that.” he thought to himself. “Oh and I have history with playing minor league baseball but I don’t go around announcing I can bet werewolves to death with my batting skills.” Ashlan hissed. Candice shot an evil glance back at Ashlan. “ Candice, I love you to death, I think your acting skills are amazing and you were probably one of the best dancers back in the 1920’s but our days of crimes and creating unneeded drama are over.” he said whispering in her ear.
“You said you wanted excitement, so I’m giving it to you.” she smiled at him and then turned back to Elena who seemed to be watching them carefully. “just let us know in whatever way we can help.” Ashlan rolled his eyes and began to silently pout to himself. He thought this was no needed to start a new life in a new town. he felt like he was being dragged into a situation by his sister that neither of them needed to be in.

Elena smiled as she could see that Candice and Ashlan were facing some disagreements. “I’m sure there is some way and which you too can help, and don’t worry about it. I’m kind of new here as well your really not interrupting anything. With something like this, I am sure we need all the help we can get, bats and all.” she said glancing at Ashlan with a smile. She thought the two siblings were rather nice and was willing to get to know them more once things settled down in forks.
Elena turned back to Alice and a grim look. “Well who ever she is, I am sure she is not too far away. It might be best to try to let the others know, and to keep an eye out for any new faces in forks.” She looked back to Ashlan who was now beginning to loosen up. “If you two would be so kind to stick around for a bit, we can let you know how you two can help, that is if you still want too.” the two of them nodded together. “Good .” Elena turned back to Alice. “Should be go ahead and call a meeting? Vampires and....well Wolves I suppose.” She said making a slightly disgusted face once she mentioned the word wolves. She still knew she was not used to the smell, and hoped that a few more encounters with them might make things easier.

Candice smiled as Elena reassured her brother that the two of them being there was not a problem. “You worry too much Ashlan.” She said with a grin. “See everything is fine.” Candice had a feeling that she would have no problem getting along with Elena. It was good to meet other people to talk to besides her brother, as much as she loved him, it just did not replace the girl time she longed for. Ashlan seemed a little annoyed with Candice, but she knew he would eventually get over it. He always did. “Relax Ashlan; things are going to be fine.” She said rubbing his shoulders seeing the frustrated look on his face. He smiled at her.
Candice adored her brother, and often felt sorry for the way she almost always made him freak out. When Candice looked back up at her brother, he was wearing a stern but relaxed face. Candice wondered if she was taking the whole situation a lot more lightly than him. It was often a trait of Candice to not think to deeply into things, or she would just lose it. Joking around with her brother was one of those ways. A sick feeling began to bubble in her stomach as she thought of what they were up against. Reality slowly began to sink into Candice’s mind.

Raine decided to get some air and went for a walk around the Cullen Mansion when a smell hit her nose like fire. She knew it was blood, and she knew she should stay away from it but she had to see what had happened. She allmost screamed when she saw the body of a kid laying on the ground. She ran away into she stumpled directly into Alice. "Alice, did you see that poor boy, its outrageous, we need to do something, and its on Cullen land, what are we gonna do, the people will think we did it. Seriously this is bad, its more than bad its terrible." Raine quickly said to Alice in vampire speed. Raine was getting histyrical. She had never thought something this bad would overcome the Cullens, her family. If the humans found out they would hunt the Cullens, and they would all have to move away, and Raine had only just settled down. Raine was thinking hard so she didnt even notice that there were others around her.

Alice paced back and forth for a few moments, trying to figure out exactly what the next move should be. Ashlan and Candice argued for a few more minutes, but she blocked that out as another vision took her captive. The red-headed woman was lurking around Forks, looking for her next kill. It was certain that she wasn't killing anyone in particular, but just anyone she could pick off. When Alice came out of her vision, she heard Elena's questions. Shaking her head, she turned and paced for a moment. "I need to tell my family first," she said decidedly. "If this woman is really what I think she is, there is no way anyone who has any humanity can come in contact with her, even the Quileute Pack."
Children of the moon were violent and killed for pleasure and no real reason other than that. In some aspects, they were sicker than vampires in Alice's opinion. As she thought of this, Raine ran to where they had been standing, ranting about the little boy's body. Turning to Raine, she breathed deeply. "No one is going to think we did it," she said indefinitely. "If you examine the body, there are no vampire bite marks. The boy was mauled to death by a monster. I will speak with my family about this and we will decide what the course of action will be." Turning to Ashlan, Candice, and Elena, she nodded once to bid them farewell. "I will be in touch once my family has decided what to do. For now, fan out in the forest and keep a close eye for a red-headed woman." With those words, she took off for the mansion to inform the family of what was happening.
