Pop culture has defined a sub-genre of horror. Vampires are widely known to dwell in places like Transylvania, Romania, Denali, Forks, Dallas, and even a fictional town in Louisiana called Bon Temps. Vampires can't go out in sunlight because they either burn up or sparkle. A vampire can live on animal blood. To become a vampire, one must be drained and fed with vampire blood, or injected with venom. Or maybe they don't have fangs. All of those stereotypes are completelyfalse.Welcome to Carmel-By-The-Sea, California. This is a place where true Vampires dwell, much to the complete knowledge of the Human residence. Of course, these aren't your Hollywood-ized versions. These are the real thing. Of course, if you're coming to visit Carmel, don't expect to see Fangs and Veins. If anything, you should expect quite the opposite. The Vampires of Carmel can do anything a normal human can, essentially. Their fangs are hidden when they go about normal life, only to be exposed when hunting, angry, showing off, or... when the Vampire is 'turned on.' Real Vampires don't burn up or sparkle when they go out in sunlight, but they are a little more photosensitive than the Human race. An SPF is highly recommended. Vampires must drink Human blood, and a lot of them hide it in McDonald's cups, just so they feel they fit in better.Change is Happening in Carmel. There are sides, a war between two powerful races. But there are allies as well. Love blossoms and hate brews, and everything is added together to make one hell of a powerful potion. Get ready for a wild ride. You know what they say...Once Bitten, Twice Shy
