Katelyn blushed when Faith mentioned that she had an admirer; Nathaniel was hardly that because he would never date a girl like herself. She had gone through too much in her past to be datable really. "I like to go to plays too," she said in a soft whisper so low he could not hear it over the music. Then she noticed that he had seen the girl sitting next to her and felt like a sudden idiot for just staring at him instead of introducing the two of them. "Nathaniel, this is Faith," she said a little louder so he could hear her over the music of the club.

Faith could sense that Nathaniel was very protective of Kate. She smiled. "Hello Nathaniel. Faith Madison. It's very nice to meet you." She offered her hand, letting him know that she meant no harm, for she sensed that Nathaniel knew she was immortal. It was no surprise and it did not bug her.

Nathaniel fought against the urge to respond to Kate’s comment about plays. She had spoken so quietly however that anyone that was a human could not have heard. Instead Nate placed a frown on his face and was about to ask her to repeat what she had said when Kate introduced him to the creature sitting on her other side. Nathaniel kept himself as calm as possible and he grinned. Faith had no idea what she was giving up by shaking his hand, and under normal circumstances he would not shake her hand before he warned her. This however was different and Nate justified that he could see Faith’s past and judge whether or not Kate would be safe in talking to Faith.
Nate leaned off of the bar and took a step behind Kate so that he would not have to reach across her. He took Faith’s hand in his to give her a polite shake, and as he shook her hand Nathaniel was able to see Faith’s history. He bit back a shocked gasp as he realized what Faith truly was and some of the things that she had done. He let go of Faith’s hand and went back to standing next to Kate slightly closer then before half expecting Faith to attack at a seconds notice. Nate pretended as if nothing had happened and continued with the conversation, “Are you ladies having a pleasant evening?” He casually glanced over his shoulder to suck in a deep breath of air to hold in as he continued to speak with Faith and Kate. He did not wish to take any chances around this hybrid vampire.

Suddenly, Kate became very relaxed that Nate was there with her. It almost made things better that he was near, so she felt a little less anxious about him being so close to her. It almost seemed like he was protecting her from something, but she brushed that off to answer his question. "It has been a wonderful evening so far," she said sweetly. "I've only just been here a few minutes though and just really met Faith before you walked in."
Looking back at Nate, Kate noticed his eyes again. They were golden, just as before. However, they weren't really frightening like she expected them to be as they were the first time. Instead, they were comforting, almost like they were a part of who he was.

Faith sensed that Nathaniel was using some sort of power on her. However, since she didn't feel any different when she released her hand from him, she didn't make a move. When Kate spoke, she nodded and said, "Yes we've just met, although we both go to Forks High School."

Nathaniel turned his attention Kate as she answered his question. He also noticed that she was watching his eyes and he tried to bite back a grin knowing that their golden hue would be far different then Kate had ever seen before. Kate’s own eyes as Nate noticed were a light blue. ‘My favorite.’ He sighed internally. Kate really was stunning she was beautiful in each way that he had ever seen her and Nate had a feeling that that beauty would not fade in any way.
Nate could feel some of the apprehension that Faith had towards him and it almost made him laugh aloud. He almost let a laugh escape at the idea of an immortal such as Faith attending high school. It really was laughable but Nate was able to keep himself in check. Deciding that it would be best to go along with the current conversation Nathaniel nodded at their comments of high school. “I have just signed up for some classes at the college.” ‘Okay so a little lie never hurt right?’ Nate thought to himself. The truth of the matter was it was a big lie because the last time Nate had gone to school was centuries ago.
The idea however that Faith was so close to humans, especially Kate had Nate feeling slightly on edge. He reflected for a moment on the other vampires that he had seen in Faith’s history and he realized that a coven had taken up residence in Forks. He also realized that it was essentially the royal vampire family that controlled the existence of vampires. Nate bit back a laugh as he remembered seeing Faith try to seduce the leader when her plan back fired horribly. Instead of starting something where Kate could get caught in the crossfire Nate placed a smile on his face and directed it mainly towards Kate.

Hearing that Nate had signed up for some classes at the college made Katelyn smile a little. So he's smart and witty, she laughed mentally. Now there's something I like. And then there was his smile. There was something about it that was just...comforting. Katelyn could not help but look at him; he was impossibly beautiful, charming, and intelligent. What was there not to like? "You'll have to tell me about the college classes sometime," she said. "I'm actually thinking about taking some during the summer when I'm not dancing. They had one Shakespeare class that really interested me." Thinking about Shakespeare, Katelyn suddenly realized who Nate really reminded her of. In a way, he sort of resembled who she had in her head for Orsino from the play Twelfth Night or even a more dashing version of Romeo from Romeo and Juliet. Katelyn was having a hard time deciding which was more prominent in her head.

Faith smiled. "Well, I'll let you two kitties play." She stood up, martini glass in hand. "It was very nice to meet both of you, Katelyn. Nathaniel." She finished off her martini and put it back on the counter. "You two have fun." Faith nodded and walked off into the crowd to dance. She knew there was some sort of attraction between Nathaniel and Katelyn. After all, pheremones were her specialty.

Addison was next in line to enter the club and she knew that she only appeared to be an underage teen. A smile graced her lips at that thought when in reality she had been in the world for almost forty years. Just as the bouncer asked for id Addison flexed her left hand and waved it slightly. By the time the bouncer and the patrons out side of the bar noticed something Addison had already slipped past and into the club. She smiled as she looked around at all of the humans dancing with one another her smile grew as she thought of how clueless they were. Instead of invading the packed dance floor Addison decided to wait out for a bit by the less crowded bar.
Addison stopped half way from the bar as she caught a scent that she knew belong to vampires. She also caught the smell of something that almost seemed to be vampire but it had a different scent added to it. ‘Well this should be interesting.’ Deciding it would be rude to invade their space Addison made a bee line for the other side of the bar. If they noticed her then Addison would allow them to come to her. She did not see the point in a potential fight in the middle of a club like this. Addison reached the bar and sat down on an empty stool shaking her head at the bartender that offered to get her a drink.

Nathaniel felt one of his eyebrows arch up in surprise as Katelyn mentioned Shakespeare. It took him back to his dim memories as a human. He had in fact met the legendary wordsmith once upon a time. Shakespeare had been a tremendous influence in Nate’s life and that was why Nathaniel could hold onto that memory for six hundred years. Just as he was going to question Kate about her opinions of Shakespeare’s work Faith gave her good-byes. Normally Nathaniel would have tried to keep Faith from leaving and apologize for his behavior but he was not sorry to see Faith give her distance of Kate. “It was nice to meet you as well Faith.”
At that point Nathaniel turned back to Katelyn to speak with her more about Shakespeare. He felt a smile rest on the edges of his lips as he spoke, “I would love to speak to you about the classes. Tell me you enjoy Shakespeare’s work? If so you have found a kindred spirit.” Nathaniel swallowed down the laugh he was probably the most knowledgeable creature on the planet when it came to Shakespeare’s work and it would be interesting to find out how much Kate knew.

"Bye Faith," she called out as the girl she just met decided to leave. In truth, she was somewhat happy that Faith had decided to give her some time alone with Nate. She wanted to get to know him better because she found him to be the single most fascinating person she had ever really met. When she turned around, she heard him continue their conversation on Shakespeare. It stunned her that a guy as beautiful as him admittedly liked Shakespeare. Most guys were closet readers of his works and never openly admitting of it, but Nate apparently was.
"Shakespeare is, in my opinion, one of the greatest playwrites and authors to have ever picked up the pen," she said. "The very first play I ever read by him totally wisked me into this whole other world that I could pretend I was someone else for a while. My mom gave me the book with the play in it for my thirteenth birthday and ever since then, I've been addicted." Katelyn let out a small laugh as she thought she sounded like an absolute lunatic to Nate, or at least...that's what she thought.

Nathaniel listened as Kate spoke of Shakespeare. Nathaniel smiled as Kate spoke he knew that it was by a failed design that Kate was not born into the same life that he had. He fought with his desire to tell Kate that thought and that she would have gotten along famously with the man she obviously admired. Shakespeare would also had appreciated meeting someone who was so obviously was enthralled by his plays, even if it had been a woman. Nate bit back a laugh at that thought. Kate would certainly been a storm to be reckoned with in his human life especially since she seemed to be one now in this time. In fact Nathaniel became wrapped up in the day dreams of Katelyn and he meeting back in his human life he almost forgot where he was at for the moment.
Nate mentally shook himself and he felt his smile remaining in place, “It is comforting to meet a kindred soul. You must tell me what is some of your favorite work by him?” There was an extreme likely hood that Nathaniel had been there when Shakespeare had written the works that Katelyn had read when she was younger. He grinned as Katelyn mentioned that she was addicted he nodded his head with a small laugh, “Take no shame in enjoying fine work when you see it. There are too few people in this world that cannot recognize it.”

Katelyn smiled again, blushing as she did so. It was so hard not to blush around Nate when he was so adorable and somewhat entrancing to her. There was something about him that she just could not quite put her finger on, but she knew that it was attracting her to him. Maybe it's that Shakespearean mannerism...that has to be it. Maybe... She shook off her thoughts to reply to his question, "Oh, I could no sooner pick a favorite star in the heavens than pick a favorite work by Shakespeare!" Another shy smile crossed her lips as she brushed back a whisp of her blonde hair behind her ear. It was her nervous tick.
Folding her hands back into her lap, she asked, "How about you? Do you have a favorite work by Shakespeare?" The curiousity bubbled within her at this newfound friend that she was becoming more and more interested in by the minute. Even if he was older than her, she still could not help but be attracted.

Nate swallowed back the fire that started to burn in his throat as Katelyn began blushing. In all the centuries that he had been in the world he had only drunk the blood of the men. The men of the world that death was a kind treatment. Four hundred years and Nathaniel Pierce would not take the life of a woman and he would not start now. He grinned as Katelyn said she could no longer choose a star from the heavens. ‘Most definitely born in the wrong era.’ Before he became lost in her smile again Katelyn asked what his favorite work had been.
Nate felt his smile tugging at his lips threatening to grow further. Faint memories from his human life began to float in and out of his head. He remembered the days of standing next to Shakespeare ready to run at a moment’s notice to do anything for the wordsmith. Nate remembered with a smile how Shakespeare had taken him under his wing. He grinned as his thoughts became slightly distracted, “As with you I do not believe I could find a favorite among his work.” Nathaniel grinned, “I think that all of his work speaks to a different part of him. Shakespeare must have been a great man to write so beautifully.” Nathaniel knew for a fact however that Shakespeare had been a great man and his work spoke to his personality more then anyone could imagine.

Katelyn could feel herself beginning to become more and more attractive to Nate as he spoke of Shakespeare. It was as if he knew him personally, which Katelyn knew was nonsense because this was 2039 and not the 1600s. However, it was an entertaining thought for a few moments to possibly consider what it would have been like to actually know Shakespeare during his youth and writing days. "I know that it would have been an honor to know such a man like him," she said shyly, running her finger around the edge of her martini glass nervously.
When she looked into Nate's eyes, she still saw the same golden color and knew that she was not going crazy. It was really there now that she had seen it more than once. Stepping off her barstool, she asked, "How about we go somewhere less crowded and more quiet?" This was the most forward she had ever been with anyone, much less a guy. If Kenzie or Lucy saw her now, they most certainly would have raised hell about what she was doing, but she didn't care.
