Renesmee walked into the mansion, looking around and hoping to find Alice so that she could get some more shopping for the baby done. Since she revealed her pregnancy to the family, things had begun to progress quickly and steadily. She had reached her second month without any difficulties and looked to be about five months pregnant, instead of around two and a half. The baby fluttered across her stomach in rapid movements that made her laugh. Holding her belly, she looked around to see that Alice was not in the mansion, or at least anywhere visible.
Deciding that she would wait, Renesmee want over to the couch and sat down. The baby kicked a few more times, making her smile again and think about the little one growing inside of her. It would only be a few more weeks until she would meet the sweet baby that constantly kicked her and made her giggle.

Rosalie was the only one in the house when she heard Nessie come in. She knew that Nessie did not want to be around her, but she had things to do. Rose went downstairs to the living room to gather her things and go shopping. Edward had asked her to do something for him and she was going to. Rose was glad that at least Edward understood why she had taking Jasper's side.
Rose walked into the living room and went over to the table to get the keys to her convertable. Rose turned and was about the leave when she finally spoke in a very loving and tender tone. "Nessie, I know that you are mad at me, and I am sorry for that, but I did what I had to for my twin. I can not be sorry for that and it is hard to explain." Rose knew that if she could she would be crying. She loved Renesmee like her own daughter and hated this distance between them.

Renesmee had been in her own little world, thinking about her baby, when Rosalie walked into the room. There was still a no-speaking rule where Rose was concerned in Renesmee's mind. She thought about getting up to leave until Rosalie did the unexpected and spoke to her first. Keeping her hand on her stomach, she listened to Rose while she spoke. "I don't pretend to understand why you did the things you did," she replied, keeping her voice at a calm and even tone for the baby's sake. "But, where you chose Jasper, I chose Alice. In my eyes, she did nothing wrong and Jasper was the one who hurt her. It was not fair for him to expect Alice to just forgive him and go back like nothing ever happened."

Rose listened to Nessie speak and understood what Nessie was seeing. Rose had not taken Jasper's side on that point, she just did not care. "Nessie, I did not take his side on that. I don't think that he should have done that, but I will not judge him for it. I love him no matter what he does, just as I love all the family no matter what. I only took his side in that I did not want him to leave. I know that Alice left for her own reason's but she did leave and he was crushed. Whether on purpose or not that damage was done." Rose said almost in a whimper. Rose did not want to have this conversation with Nessie. Rose just wanted to love her like she loved all of her family.

"Alice left because Jasper took Crystal's side instead of her's," Renesmee hissed on Crystal's name, knowing what a traitor she had been. "She had known all along that the traitor was lying, but Jasper refused to see it and in doing so, alienated the one person who loved him the most." Renesmee sighed deeply to calm herself down, standing up from the couch and pressing her hand to her stomach protectively. The baby was upset and didn't like the seriousness of the conversation and frankly, neither did Renesmee.
The baby kicked a couple of times sharply into her side and she sucked in a gasp, pressing her fingers over the area to try and sooth her child. It was easy to see that the baby took after her in the dislike of drama.

Rose knew that she must control her temper, but it was extremely hard for her. Rose had never been one to thing before she spoke or acted. Rose took a deep breath and slowly exhauled to control her temper, she was not going to lash out at Nessie while she was pregnant. Rose sat down in a chair and put her head in her hands, this was one of those times that she needed Jasper to talk to. He was the one that she ran too. She was at a loss of how to handle things.
Rose looked up at Nessie from her hands and spoke in a very soft whisper. "Look Nessie, I know that you are mad at Jasper and I am okay with that. However, it is hurting me that you are taking that anger out on me. I love you and want to be close to you, but you are upset over something that has nothing to do with you or me." She knew that she was fighting to control her temper so she took another deep breath. "None of us can change what has already happened but the stress in the family is not good. We need to find forgiveness and save our family, not keep being anger and destroying it more." Rose said to Nessie as she sat back in the chair. Rose hated to see her family like this. Rose was actually getting ready to leave herself if things did not change soon. She could not keep going this way, she would talk to Emmett and convince him that it was best for them to leave for awhile.

Listening to Rosalie, Renesmee knew that she was somewhat right; she was taking her anger out on her when she really didn't mean to. Part of it she knew was her pregnancy hormones and the other part was her true anger toward Jasper that she could not voice directly to him. Seeing the pain in her aunt's eyes, she knew that it was time to stop being angry at something neither of them could control or be at fault for. Walking over to her aunt slowly, she reached out her hand cautiously and took Rosalie's cold, silk one. "I'm sorry Aunt Rose," she said apologetically, almost in tears. "I just feel like my whole world fell apart just as I got home from the best month of my life away with Jacob. And now I have a baby coming into this mess and I don't know how to handle it."
Tears started to fall from her eyes onto her blushed cheeks and she bit her lip anxiously to keep from sobbing. The baby started kicking rapidly and she put one hand to the side of her stomach to sooth the baby again. All of the stress was really getting to her and she knew that this was not good for the baby.

Rose heard Nessie's speak and felt Nessie's hand on hers. Rose was happy that Nessie was speaking to her again and that she had actually called her Aunt Rose again. Rose looked up at her and saw the tears in her eyes. Rose reach up her other hand to wipe them away. "Don't cry, my darling. Things will work out. I know that this is a stressful time in the family, but it is not the first that we have had and I doubt that it will be the last. That is just a fact with our family." Rose knew that stress was a part of the Cullen family life, but Nessie had never handled that well. "I know that you don't like the family fighting, but with any family that has been together as long as we have, things are going to change. We do have our disagreements, but we still love each other and we figure them out." Rose said to Nessie as she stood to hug her.

Renesmee knew that Rosalie was right; their family had been through their share of disagreements. Even her own birth had been a huge disagreement of whether her mother should keep the pregnancy or not. Thank her lucky stars that her mother had fought to keep her. Hugging Rosalie, she began to stop crying eventually and calm down, causing the baby to calm down as well. Laughing almost, she looked down at her stomach. "The baby doesn't like it when I'm upset," she explained softly. "It gets a lot more active, like it's trying to calm me down."
Taking Rosalie's hand, she pressed it to her side where the baby was still kicking. "I feel this all the time. This baby is a lot like Jake, never still and always moving," she giggled through her tears. "Jake says if the baby's anything like him, we're going to have our hands full."

Rose knew that Nessie was right about the issue's with her birth but that was something that they did not talk about with her. Rose knew that Edward would kill her for talking to Nessie about those dark days. Rose felt the baby kick when Nessie put her hand on her side. "Well, it is active, but at least it is not breaking bones." Rose said to Nessie, knowing that Nessie would understand. Rose looked at her watch and was startled. Edward was going to kill her if she did not get what he wanted done done. "Nessie darling I have to go to Seattle for a little while and I really most go soon." Rose said to her.

Renesmee sighed and nodded her head, "Alright, if you have to go then you probably should get going. I actually was supposed to go shopping today with Alice for the baby, but I have no clue where she is." Stepping back, she fixed her shirt so it went just right over her little bump. Jacob had told her that she made one of the most beautiful pregnant people in the world, which always made her blush. "Have you seen Alice today at all?" she asked.

Rose knew that she shouldn't but she could sneak away from Nessie long enough to do what Edward wanted. "I have not seen Alice but I am going into Seattle if you want to go shopping with me." Rose said to her. It had been a long time since Rose had been shopping with Nessie, and she wanted to take her shopping for things for the baby. Rose was always happy when it came to babies in the family. Rose had never dreamed that the Cullen family would have one child much less four and on that first was having a baby of her own.

Smiling, Renesmee looked back at her aunt and replied, "I would love to go! There is this little shop that has the cutest clothes and I wanted to look around to see what I could find for the little one. A giggle left her lips as she thought about all the clothes she would need for the baby as it would most likely grow a tad faster than a normal newborn. She and Jacob were still uncertain as to the sex of the baby and could not know until it was born, but she had a hunch as to what was growing inside of her. Although she would never tell anyone her suspiscion, just in case she was wrong. Her own mother thought she had been a boy, but she surprised everyone by being a little girl. "Oh and I wanted to look at a few bassinets too since I wanted the baby to sleep next to Jake and I's bed for the first few weeks."

Rose smiled as Nessie talked about stuff for the baby. When Nessie mentioned the bassinet, Rose almost laughed. That was part of what she was looking for. Rose knew that Edward would be upset if she let Nessie buy any furniture. "I am pretty sure that Bella still has your bassinet somewhere around here." Rose said to her, hoping that would change her mind. Rose knew exactly where Nessie's bassinet was.

"I can't believe that you guys kept that after all these years," she said, laughing. Her baby basinett had lasted her all of a week before they needed to move her into a regular crib because of her growth spurts. "Maybe it will last longer for my baby than it did for me since I grew way too fast to stay in it for long," she mused happily.
