[Bella] If You Ask Her You Might Get a Chance.....

Alexandra had put Rosie and Eddie down for a nap. They wrestled with her, against it of course, but they needed it no matter how old they seemed. To her they were only a few months old, even if they looked like they were about 5 or 6 years.

The kids were so beautiful and she was actually quite thanful she'd changed her mind to have Jasper help out. It came in handy a lot of the time. He was out shopping for the kids at the moment; since they weren't too fond of blood they needed food.

With a moment or two to rest, Alexandra sat on the couch and grabbed her cell phone. She decided to call Bella. They hadn't talked in a while if Bella was even talking to her. Most weren't. Rosalie and Veronica were the only ones.

She pushed TALK on the contact BELLA CULLEN and waited. She waited for three rings.

It had been a long few months since the birth of Jasper's twins, his departure with Alexandra for Seattle, and Renesmee's return home from her honeymoon with Jacob. Everything was still currently up in the air. Now that Renesmee was having her own child, everyone was going crazy. The thought was still settling into Bella's mind that her only child was having a baby, yet looked no older than herself. Bella had been busying herself with helping Renesmee get ready for the baby, along with Alice for her wedding.

When she had finally found a quiet moment for herself in her and Edward's bedroom, her phone began to ring on her dresser. Sighing, she went over to see who it was, seeing 'Alexandra Swan' come up on the screen. It had been a while since her cousin had talked to her. Picking up the phone, she said, "Hey Lexie. It's been a while since we talked. How are you?"

Alexandra was relieved when Bella answered. "Hey Bella. Yeah it's been a while. I'm good. It's crazy here with the twins. But that's to be excepted, right?" She laughed, then sighed. "How about you? How is everyone? I haven't heard from Renesmee in a while, although she'd not speaking to me or Jasper, so that's to be excepted." She waited for Bella's response. She knew she was rambling.

Listening to Alexandra's chatter about the twins and whatnot, Bella knew that they were doing well. It made Bella happy that everyone was doing well. And then Alexandra asked about Renesmee. Of course they wouldn't know what was going on at the mansion or on Forks for that matter. "Well, Nessie's had her hands full lately...what with being a newlywed and all that." It wasn't entirely a lie, just not the whole truth. Bella didn't know if Renesmee would want Alexandra and Jasper to know she was pregnant or not and she would leave that decision up to her daughter.

Alexandra listened to Bella. She was happy that Nessie was happy. "Well that's good. She and Jake are happy as pie then, I assume?" She waited and reflected on the past. What she had done with Jasper, she really regretted. It had done everyone in for a wild ride and divided everyone real good.

Bella sat down on her and Edward's bed as she continued her conversation with Alexandra. It was weird to talk to her since there had been so much that happened. Bella did not condone nor condemn what Alexandra and Jasper had done; she was just caught in the middle of the family feud, trying to keep the peace among everyone. In fact, she had delivered the twins herself. "Her and Jake are actually very happy," she said with a soft tone in her voice. "So, tell me about Seattle...how are things going?"

Alexandra sighed overdramatically. "Well, Rosie and Eddie are good. Jasper's been teaching them how to control their powers. He's a surprisingly good teacher. They're well mannered children, but I feel as though maybe it's because they're technically only a few months old. I mean, they don't even act like half-vampire children. They eat regular human food, all the time. Jasper finds it quite difficult actually."

Bella listened as Alexandra went on about the twins and was happy for them. It seemed that life on their end of things was going well and for that, Bella could be thankful for. Everything was settling down for the first time in a while. "Well, it sounds like everything is going great for you," she said. "Things are settling down here for the first time in a while. We have a lot going on with Nessie coming home and whatnot."

Alexandra felt like Bella was intentionally leaving Alice and Evan's wedding out for her sake. She was not too keen on Alice who called her a slut and a whore on a regular basis. She did not appreciate it. However, she was happy that Bella updated her on Renesmee, even if Nessie didn't like her anymore. "Well that's good. I'm happy for y'all. Do you ever think Renesmee will be able to forgive me?"

Bella paused for a moment at Lexie's question. It was one she honestly didn't know because her daughter was so temperamental with her pregnancy and whatnot. Renesmee had been so emotional lately that it was hard to tell how her mood swings were going to go from one day to the next. "I'm not really sure, you'll have to talk to Nessie about all of that," she said, twirling a piece of her hair. "I would say you could talk to her, but I don't know what her plans are for today. She was supposed to go shopping for some...stuff later on." Bella knew that Renesmee was going shopping for the baby with Alice at some point during the day, but she had no idea when.

"That's okay," Alexandra said. "I guess I can just never take back my incompetable actions." She sighed as Jasper walked into the house with grocery bags in hand. "Oh Jazz just got home with the food." She gave him a wave as he headed towards the kitchen. "Anyways I'm thinking about dating. But I don't know of anyone who would really want a girl who was knocked up by a married vampire and the kids are half vampire."

[Bella Cullen]

Bella sighed lightly. "You'd be surprised who would date a vampire these days," she laughed. "I was human when I dated Edward, so you could find someone who could be able to handle the fact that your kids are hal-vampire. Trust me, that person would be worth it." Bella looked on the wall where there were tons of pictures of her and Edward with Renesmee as a baby. Thinking about her daughter, she decided that making amends in the family was for the betterment of everyone's happiness. "Lexie, how would you like to come visit and possibly see Nessie?" she asked sincerely.

Alexandra sat up. "Seriously? I wouldn't want her to bite my head off. I mean, I've apologized a hundred million billion times already. Do you seriously think she would wanna see me?" She sounded unsure because she was unsure. Renesmee and her had had a great time shopping on her first day, but after that it all went downhill.

Bella nodded, knowing that Lexie couldn't see her anyway...but she did so out of habit. "I'm sure that it would be tense at first, but I know my daughter well enough to know that she can be a very forgiving person," she said, getting up and beginning to walk around the room softly. "Maybe I could bring her up to Seattle to go on a mother/daughter trip and you could meet us somewhere?"

Alexandra bit her lip, unsure still. "Okay, but I'm bringing Rosabella with me. She's just down for a nap, but I know it won't last very long. Unless you were thinking another day?" If Renesmee would be willing, she would definately go, but it was complicated.
