Jacob was shocked when Edward asked him to stay at the mansion, " If you really want me Ed, I do have pack stuff to do, Sam gave up phasing ages ago to grow older with Emily. So there is only really one pack now, mine. But they know their orders. I just phase if I have to give them anymore. But I love to stay here, Thanks." Jacob wrapped his arms around Renesmee. "You want me to stay ? " He joked knowing the answer.

Renesmee could hardly believe her ears, her father was going to let Jacob stay the night. In what alternate reality had she woke up in? She was sure a look of utter shock was written on her face, but she quickly wiped it off as Jacob asked her a question.
"Of course I want you to stay," she replied, putting her chin on his shoulder and looking into his eyes. "There is no where else I would want you to go."
Her father slowly was coming around to the idea that she was in love with Jacob and that he returned her love equally. More than anyone, her father understood what it meant to love someone who was your total opposite. After all, he had fallen in love with her mother while she was human.
She smiled and walked over to her father, who was standing next to her mother. "Thank you daddy. You don't know what this means to me."

"Oh nothing," Bella sighed into Edward's shoulder. "It's just ironic how much Jacob and Renesmee remind me of you and I; so young and so in love."
It was true. Bella and Edward had been that attached during the first few years of their relationship and to some extent, still were. And now their daughter was finding love for the first time. Life was coming full circle right in front of Bella's eyes. Her thoughts turned back to the first time she saw her daughter, three days after her birth. Renesmee had been the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Now she was all grown up. The tiny nudger she had fought so hard to keep safe and protected was the young woman standing before her now. It was hard to believe at times.
Bella turned her attention as her husband extended the invitation for Jacob to stay the night at the mansion. Edward was coming around to Jacob more and more, which pleased Bella immensely. He was her best friend and the love of their daughter's life, so there were many things working in his favor, but it was still nice to see Edward making an effort to make Jacob feel like part of the family. She watched as Renesmee came and hugged Edward, thanking him. Even though she was full grown, she would always be their baby.
When Renesmee returned to Jacob's side, she took Edward's hand and kissed his cheek softly.
"That was a very sweet gesture, my love."

Edward did not realize that everyone would be shocked by his offer to Jake. Edward had known since Nessie's birth that this day was coming. After all the Edward, Bella and Jacob had been through it only seemed natural. Edward had won Bella over Jacob, who thought that he was in love with Bella, when all along it was the part of Bella that was Nessie, that Jacob loved. Edward and Jacob had been through alot in those early years and the day that Jacob stood beside him and Bella to protect Nessie a bond had been formed. Edward would be eternally great full for Jake being in Nessie's life. Edward thought of Jacob as a brother already. "Jake if I didn't think that you should be in Nessie's life, I would not have asked you to go to London with us in the first place. You are as much a part of her life as the rest of us are. I understood when you said that your pack needed you then, but alot has changed in the last thirty years." Edward looked from Jake to his lovely wife. "We always knew the she would end up with Jake, after all you were willing to let him take her and run when you didn't know if we would survive the battle. So why the shock now. Yes I love Renesmee, she will always be our miracle, but she deserves a love as great as ours, my love." He bent and kisses Bella again.

Bella looked at Edward as he spoke, reminding her of the past when he first bonded with Jacob over Renesmee's safety. It had been a terrifying time, when Renesmee's life was threatened, yet both Jacob and Edward had showed maturity beyond their little differences to protect those that they loved.
"I guess it never really sunk in until now that our daughter would really be with Jacob like this. But I am very happy that it is turning out to be like this. As long as she's happy, so am I. Jake is the most trustworthy guy I know and the only one I would trust our only daughter with."
And it was true. There had been one or two suitors in London that Renesmee had caught the eye of, but she did not pay attention to any of them as her intentions and heart were set on Jacob. This was a long time coming, but Bella was joyful to see it.

The words that Edward spoke about Jacob's pack needing him felt like a Knife stabbing at his heart. I could have left kept someone else in charge of the whole pack and went with them. If my fault I suffered, but then there was Dad and Charlie, sure Charlie had Sue, Leah and Seth there for him but he was my dad best friend... Jacob rambled through his thoughts. "Yes Edward I know...Even If you did not think we belonged together I would have found a way" Jacob smirked "its not a lie Ed, the Imprinting makes me more determined."

Edward didn't want to hurt Jake, after everything that Jake had gone for them in the past. He still owed Jake so much. Edward would never forget that. "Jake, If you remember I am not the one that attacked you for imprinting on Nessie." Edward laughed as he spoke and wrapped his arms around Bella. "But that is enough talk of the past and we are home now. I am glad that Nessie has you. However, I don't think that you two should rush into anything." Edward knew that Nessie's happiness was important to him.

Esme was so happy that everyone in the family was finally together that she didn't hear the conversation. She was absentmindedly thinking Jake and Nessie look so happy together. I wonder when Jake is going to propose to her. I hope I get to do Nessie's wedding. I wonder if they will let alice help me. I hope I am invited. Esme forgot that Edward could hear her every thought. Edward. Did you just hear everything I thought?

Edward couldn't help but cringe as Esme's thoughts bombards him. They had just gotten home and already Esme was planning Nessie's wedding. Edward was not ready to think about that just yet. When he mom finally realized what she was doing, she asked him if he had heard it. Edward simply nodded at her. That was not anything he wanted to vocalize and bring attention to. He knew the day was coming, but not now. He wanted them to get to know each other again first. Edward was glad that they were home but he was getting ready to return to the cottage with Bella. He was ready for some alone time with her, and he knew that Nessie and Jake wanted time together. He knew that even if he tried to stop them from spending time together, they would find a way. Nessie was to much like her mother. He had tried once to keep Bella away from Jake and that had not worked out at all, as Jake was still a part of their live, which Edward didn't mind any more. "Okay guys, It is getting late. Bella, love are you ready to return to the cottage? He knew that she would not argue. She loved being alone with him in their cottage. Edward had actually missed the cottage while they were away. He could see the garden off of their bedroom now.

Everything was perfect in coming home. Bella was happy to be around her family and to see everyone so joyful. Jacob and Renesmee were slowly getting into their own world and Bella didn't mind. After all, Jacob was her best friend and the very best person for her daughter. In fact, there was no one she trusted more than Jacob with Renesmee, outside of the Cullen family, of course.
Bella noticed Edward cringe momentarily and wondered who thought of something unpleasant. It wasn't often that a thought bothered him like that. She noticed the looks passed between Esme and Edward after. She wondered what it was about, but decided to ask Edward later.
When she heard him ask if she was ready to go back to the cottage she replied, "Yes, love. I'm ready to go."

Noticing that her parents were getting ready to go back to their cottage, Renesmee decided to take advantage of the situation to ask if she and Jacob could have their alone time instead of sneaking off.
"Mom, Dad, would it be alright if Jake and I spent some time together before I come back home? We won't be out too late, I promise."
Knowing that her parents could rarely refuse her anything, she was sure her father would agree and if he didn't, her mother would persuade him. And it was just Jacob. It wasn't like she was wanting to stay out all night with some unknown boy. Her family knew and loved Jacob dearly. As she awaited their answer, she gave her father a pleading look, using her big chocolate eyes to her advantage.
Please? she thought.

Rose heard Ed ask Bella about leaving and knew that they wanted to be alone. She thought, It is almost funny how after thirty years there love has only gotten stronger. Rose was happy for her brother. She stood up and went to give them both a hug, before they left for the night. "I am so glad that you all are home. Bella, we must take time to go shopping. I made sure that Alice didn't mess with your closet, so you may want to go through it. After all, it hasn't been opened in thirty years. Rose said as she hugged Bella.

Edward heard Nessie ask to spend some time with Jake. He was about the tell her no just to mess with her, but then that thought, "please" and those eyes that where her mothers. He could never say no to that. He smiled his crooking smile and answered her. "Yeah my darling daughter you may spend some time with Jake. But don't stay out to late." Edward turned to take Bella's hand when he saw Rose coming and felt her give him a hug. He still couldn't get over the change in her.

Bella hugged Rosalie back. It was good to be home and to find that Rosalie had changed for the better. Somehow, Bella knew that this would be the beginning of a better relationship with her sister. Their family was going to be closer than ever and that was joyful for Bella. She loved her family dearly.
Even though she didn't particularly care for shopping, she knew that it would be something fun for Rosalie to do with her. "Ok, just let me know when you want to go. Maybe we could go to Seattle or Port Angeles."
If Rosalie could make changes, Bella figured she could at least try. She knew Alice would be pleased with her attempt to like shopping.
In addition, she also heard her daughter's request to spend some time with Jacob. Bella was glad Edward agreed as it would have been difficult to say no to their precious daughter. She watched as Jacob and Renesmee left the room and went outside.
She is becoming more and more like me everyday, she thought without putting out her shield.

Renesmee was so happy that her father said yes to her spending sometime with Jacob. She eagerly grabbed Jacob's hand and they were out the door in less than a minute. They were down the road from the Mansion, towards the forest. By the time they slowed down, she was laughing.
"I am so glad to have gotten out of there."
