Renesmee sat in the peace of her home as Alicia was down for her nap. It had been a few days since the Halloween bash, so she was somewhat recovering from that party. It was fun and she was certain that Alicia had enjoyed herself. She could sense deep down that her daughter was a lot like Alice in her love of parties...even at the age of five months, though she looked like a toddler now. Renesmee thought about the moment she and Jacob had brought Alicia home those few months ago. It was a precious moment because she held her sweet baby girl in her arms as they came into the house. They put her into her bassinet for the first time and watched her sleep peacefully. Renesmee loved that feeling of being a new mother and adored her daughter as she was the center of she and Jacob's life now.
Thinking about that, she got up and snuck down to Alicia's bedroom to check on her. Opening the door, she saw that her little one was still fast asleep on her bed. Renesmee opened the door and crept in, kneeling beside her daughter. Gently, she brushed back a few of Alicia's curls from her face and kissed her forehead, breathing in the scent of her child. Alicia looked so peaceful when she was sleeping, very much like her father in that sense. It was unreal how one little girl could captivate so many people's hearts, but Renesmee knew she had done the same thing when she was a child no older than her own. Guess that runs in the family... she thought amusingly to herself, knowing that half of Alicia's sweet nature came from Jacob.

Alicia was fast asleep; she had no knowledge that her mother was only a few feet away watching her. Alicia was dreaming she was running around in the forest with her father. She turned around to look at her father, but he was gone and all that was there was a wolf. She smiled because she did not fear this wolf at all she felt very comfortable around it. she went up to pet it and laughed as it licked her across her tiny little face, it was then that another wolf approached from behind the wolf she was petting but this time a sense of utter dread filled her. The wolf sprang out her and she awoke in a panic. It only seemed to startle her more not noticing her mother at first.
When she realized that it was only her mother, she smiled and jumped up to greet her with a hug. Alicia could not seem to shake the dream from her thoughts though. Her mind focused on the wolves in her dream and the vast difference between the two. It did not take long to forget about things and just live in the moment. Alicia did not say much as she was still trying to wake up, even though most words spoken by her was around her parents. this often did not happen when she was still waking up.

Renesmee stayed kneeled beside Alicia's bed for a few moments, watching her daughter's sweet little face contort with fear just seconds before she awoke with a start. For a moment, Renesmee wondered what startled her daughter in her dreams to wake her up, but pushed that thought aside for a moment as she was greeted with a very eager hug. She took her daughter into her arms and lovingly kissed the top of her head. Alicia was very quiet, but Renesmee knew that it was only because she was a little lethargic after first waking up...a trait she definitely picked up from her father.
Picking up her daughter in her arms, Renesmee moved over to the rocking chair in the corner of Alicia's bedroom. It was something she and Jacob had bought when they first found out she was pregnant with Alicia as they were so excited to have a baby on the way. After her birth, Jacob had lovingly carved Alicia's initials into the back of the chair, which made it even more special. As she held her daughter in her lap, she looked down into Alicia's perfect chocolate orbs and smiled. "Hey sleepyhead," she said softly. "Did you have a good nap?"

Alicia rubbed her eyes before looking back up at her mother and nodding. “There were wolves in my dream, a bad one and a good one.” She said yawning. Alicia tried to dismiss the thought from her mind because she did not want to scare herself anymore but it was useless as if these thoughts were just coming to her. She turned pale as she saw a vision of beautiful red-haired women who seemed to remind her of the wolf in the dream. Alicia still being young was unaware of her abilities, and the visions seemed at lot more random and fuzzy compared to those of Alice.
Alicia closed her eyes and tried to once again dismiss these thoughts, this time she was successful. She looked up at her mother and smiled. “ I made the bad thoughts go away.” She clung to her mother, her tiny head against her chest and listened to her heart beat which was very soothing.

Peering into the pure eyes of her daughter, Renesmee listened as Alicia told her about the dream she had while napping. It wasn't unusual for her to dream about Jacob in his wolf form as that was her father and she felt safe with him near, but it was unusual for her to dream about a bad wolf. This alarmed Renesmee further as she watched her daughter's face turn stark white. It was the exact same look Alice had when she was having a vision. They had known from the time she was born that she shared the same gift with Alice, but never knew when her visions would become as frequent because of her age. Of course, Alicia was unaware that she even had a gift as they had not yet explained to her the full extent of her powers.
As Alicia looked back up at her and smiled, noting that she had made her "bad thoughts" go away, Renesmee's alarm did not go down. She simply put it aside to worry about when Jacob was home and she could speak with him about their daughter's visions, perhaps even bringing over her father so he could see the thoughts inside of Alicia's mind. For now, she put those things aside and ran her fingers gently through her daughter's curls. "Well, Mommy is here now," she murmured to the top of Alicia's head, reassuring her daughter that nothing would ever happen to her. "Why don't we do something fun today, just you and me?"

Alicia smiled and nodded. “What kind of things can we do?” she asked with excitement. She looked back up with a smile at her mother and waited for a reply. Alicia really enjoyed spending time with her mother, it was something she treasured now, and figured she always would. Alicia tried to guess what kind of suggestions her mother would offer to her, she smiled as she remembered how much fun she had with her parents in the past.
Alicia knew this time would be special because it would just be mommy and her. Alicia often enjoyed being the certain of attention, which of course was not a hard thing for Alicia to be. No matter where she went, she always had a big group of people surrounding her.

It was always a treasured moment when Renesmee could steal away with her daughter to just spend time together. Alicia was getting older and she knew that moments like this were going to become fewer and farther between. The thought had occurred to her that someday, a member of the wolf pack might imprint on her daughter, but she had pushed that thought to the furthest boundries of her mind. Her own mother had endured that, knowing from the moment she was born that she had always belonged with Jacob. It had been one of the hardest things in the world for her mother to come to accept, but she had done so once Bella saw that Jacob would be whatever she needed him to be, whether that was a brother figure, a best friend, playmate, and now a husband and father to their child. Her mother had accepted Jacob and she knew that if some wolf were to imprint on her daughter, she would accept that in time as well.
Smiling at Alicia, she rocked the chair back and forth while she thought of some options to give for them to spend their time together. "Well, we can go to First Beach or we can go shopping. Or we can stay here and I'll make cookies so we can surprise Daddy." She paused for a moment to let those options sink into Alicia's mind before continuing. "We can even go for a drive to see a lighthouse if you wanted to." Renesmee knew that it didn't matter to her what they did, so long as they were doing it together. Time was precious to her now that she was a mother.

Alicia’s eyes lit up once she decided on what she wanted to do. “We can go to a lighthouse, and then come home and make cookies to surprise daddy.” She said with a grin. To her it was a win-win situation. Just as soon as she said this another vision flashed before her eyes. The red-haired women was waiting at the lighthouse, watching people walk by, and studying them as if to decide her next move. She was not in wolf-form but Alicia knew it was the same wolf. “Maybe we should go shopping.” She added as she came out of her trace. “She won’t be there.” she said softly.
Alicia did not know that her visions were linked to a few deaths that had happened in forks. She was totally unaware that Alice was working on warning the rest of the Cullen family and The La Push wolves. To Alicia her visions of this woman were nothing more than just a bad feeling related to the violent wolf of her dreams. She was unaware that there was some truth to her fear. “We can buy some things for Daddy too.” she said pushing the thoughts away. “We can still make cookies afterwards, but we will make some for me too, because Daddy needs to share.” She said with a grin.

Renesmee waited a few moments before Alicia declared she wanted to go see the lighthouse and make some cookies, which was perfect for a mother/daughter afternoon in her mind. However, no sooner had she said that, Renesmee watched her daughter slip into another vision. It was the same entranced look each time she was so accustomed to seeing Alice with during one of her own visions, but seeing them on her daughter just alarmed her because she didn't know what her little one was seeing nor could she really ask about it at that moment. She knew that she definitely had to talk to Jacob now if they were going to become more frequent. When the trance was broken and Alicia replied quietly that they should go shopping instead because she wouldn't be there, Renesmee was instantly curious as to who was in her daughter's visions that was so threatening.
Putting a smile on her face to reassure her daughter, she stood up from the rocking chair and placed her daughter on her hip before walking over to the dresser to pull out a clean outfit to put on Alicia. "Alright, let's go shopping for Daddy," she agreed enthusiastically. "And for us too." She laughed a little and set Alicia on her feet so that she could put the new set of clothes on her. "Do you think Daddy will want chocolate chip cookies or maybe we should make him some peanut butter ones?" Renesmee knew that by distracting her daughter, it would make things go smoother than to let her dwell on her vision, whatever that was.

Alicia thought for a moment. “Maybe we should make both. He might like them just about the same.” she brought her eyebrows together and put her hands on her hips. “Men are hard to figure out.” she said in a deep voice, mimicking something she had seen a teenager say once. She looked back up at her mother and grinned a while before bursting out in fits of giggles. Alicia was not always sure what older kids meant when they said that, but she always thought that adults worried way too much about things, and often enjoyed poking fun at them.
Alicia skipped around the room before looking through some of her clothes. She looked back at her mother. “What should I wear?” She always seemed to have a hard time deciding on clothes to place on her body, if it was up to her some days she would not mind walking around without anything on, as kids often feel at that age.

Renesmee nodded as Alicia suggested making both kinds of cookies for Jacob. In the back of her mind, she knew that her husband was not picky when it came to cookies so long as they were sugar. In fact, none of the Quileute pack was all that picky when it came to food because it all went to the same place anyway. That had always amused her slightly. Alicia's next sentence completely caught her off-guard, but she knew that it was probably something she had picked up from someone else. She laughed it off, knowing that it was so very true...even if it was coming from a toddler's mouth. Renesmee sometimes forgot that her daughter was both physically and mentally accelerated beyond her actual age. She watched as Alicia looked around in her clothing for an outfit, suddenly remembering that Alice had recently bought Alicia a new outfit on her last shopping excursion. She pulled out the brown dress and white tights before going over to the closet and grabbing the matching boots. Turning around to her daughter, she smiled. "What about this one sweetheart?" she asked, holding it out for her to see. "You godmommy Alice bought these for you when she went shopping in Seattle last week." Renesmee never ceased to be amazed at how many sets of clothing her daughter went through during her growth spurts. It was surreal to her that she was buying toddler clothing for her five-month-old. Now she knew exactly how her parents felt. Outfit (minus the jacket part): www.polyvore.com/alicia_winter/set?id=13167394

Alicia jumped exciting as she nodded. She ran up to the clothes her mother held and grabbed them in one big bear hug. Alicia inspected the clothes with awe; she was always excited to receive gifts like every child. Before putting anything else on she slid into her boots and began stomping around the room, laughing at the sound the boots made against the floor. She kicked them off and then went to her mother with the rest of the outfit. “Can you help me?” she said. Alicia knew she probably could put the clothes on herself, but she always liked it when her mother dressed her. “My hair needs to look beautiful too.” she added.
“Can you tell Alice thank you?” she said with a grin. She was not too sure on who Alice really was other than the few moments she got to see her at the party, but something told her that her bond with Alice would be a nice one considering that she got lots of pretty gifts from her.

Renesmee's heart swelled with joy as Alicia ran forward and immediately tried on the boots, running around the room happily. It was like watching her daughter's first Christmas, which she was certain would be even more entertaining and sweet. A child's first Christmas, regardless of age, always is the sweetest one. Renesmee even remembered her first Christmas. It was after the Volturi had left, so everyone was so happy and delighted. Everyone in the house was over the moon to have a child to spoil for Christmas, so she knew there would be no exception when it came to Alicia. As she came back over and kicked off the boots, asking for help to put on the rest of the outfit, Renesmee smiled and happily obliged her daughter.
She discarded Alicia's nap clothes before slipping on her white tights and then the dress. Smiling, she slid on each one of the boots to her daughter's feet. "You look absolutely beautiful," she gushed before grabbing a brush. Very gently and carefully, she pulled Alicia's ringlet curls into a cute ponytail, tying a pink ribbon around the elastic band. "There. All done." Renesmee stood up and put away the brush before depositing the dirty clothes in the hamper to be washed later. Turning around to face her daughter, she smiled and held out her hands to pick her up. "Alice would definitely love to see you in this sometime. She did a good job picking it out." Renesmee thanked her lucky stars each and every day to have Alice there to help keep Alicia's closet going with the right sized clothing. Alice was her life-saver in that department especially, but in other ways too.

When Alicia was ready to go she run up to a mirror and inspected herself. She smiled with approval and then turned back to her mother. “I’m ready to go.” She said with a huge grin. “I like it very much, I look so pretty.” She ran up to her mother and locked her small hands between hers, dragging her to the living room and out the door. She could hardly keep her excitement back. She was ready and nothing was going to stop her from enjoying her day with her mother.
Alicia was beginning to get another vision, but she tried with all her might to distract herself. “Tell me a story on our way to the store.” She said quickly. She tried to focus all her attention on her mother and only her mother. This time the vision was not strong enough to break through her focus and She was thankful for this. she was able to qucikly wipe the dazed expression off her face.

Watching her daughter prance up to the mirror, Renesmee couldn't help but laugh. She was exactly like Alice, but about two and a half feet shorter. She had known all along that there was more than one reason why Alice was her daughter's godmother and now...she knew for certain. It would only be a matter of time before Alicia discovered the fine art of shopping with Alice. Once that happened, she was certain that it would never end. Alicia would become exactly like Alice, at least in the fashion department. Not that Renesmee minded. So long as her daughter was happy. That was the most important thing of all.
A second later, they were dashing out the door in Alicia's excitement to get going. Impatient just like her father... she mused to herself, knowing exactly how true that was. However, it was adorable. When they reached the car, Renesmee opened the door and placed Alicia in her booster seat before climbing in the driver's seat. Once they were buckled in and ready to go, Renesmee fulfilled her daughter's request for a story. "Once, not too long ago, there was a little girl...just like you," she began as she drove down the road toward the highway. "And this little girl was special. She had magical powers. No one in the world had seen anything like her before, but everyone loved her. She even had a best friend, who was a wolf." Renesmee knew that this story would capture Alicia's attention, particularly because it had a wolf in it. She continued it as they began to drive on the highway. "And this wolf protected her all the time from all the bad guys who came after her. The little girl loved her wolf so very much. They went on all sorts of adventures together as she grew up and he kept her safe the whole time. And when she was finally a grown up, he turned into a Prince." She paused, allowing the story to sink into her daughter's mind.
