Background/History: Born to Catherine and Lawrence Dayton in May of 1877. Elena lived a very happy childhood in London. The Dayton’s were a respected and well known family in London. Elena’s dad was a lawyer and often was regarded as one of the best. Elena was a dancer from age 7, she often was sent to schools to prefect her skill, and rarely saw her parents.
Lawrence Dayton died at age 34 from unknown cases, and Elena 17 at the time was forced to give up her dreams to take care of her highly depressed mother. Eventually Catherine died three years later. Elena spent most of her time teaching dance since she never was able to continue on with her dream. When Elena was not teaching dance she was speeding her time giving advice to performers for local theaters.
One night after a production Elena was walking home when she heard the horrific screams of a child. Being the caring person she was Elena went running in the direction it was coming from to investigate. She spotted a boy pinned against two trees, but he was not alone. A figure was hovering over him and eventually his screams died as the life was drained out of him. Elena gathering some courage tried to fight the unknown visitor off, but was knocked to the ground unconscious waking up four days later discovering her hunger for blood and what life she was just flung into.
Personality: Elena is very sweet and caring; she is always looking out for the others and willing to give advice at anytime. She loves children and helping those that are in need. Elena is not easy crossed but if she feels that forces are threatened those that she loves, she is willing to stand up for them. Elena can be stubborn at times without actually knowing it, but when she makes a mistake she is not afraid to admit it.
