Her golden-blonde curls fall just below her shoulder blades and her eyes are a beautiful shade of baby blue. She has a sweet angelic face that has actually seen more sorrow than it lets on.

Background/History: During her childhood, Emery lived in her own world, which was perfect for her. She had the most loving and caring parents anyone could ask for, the cutest dog, and the best friend ever. She had known Cody Reynolds since she was born. He was a few months older than her, but other than that they had many things in common. Their mothers were best friends, and each were the god parents to the other's child; and the two moms had thrown their kids together in the same activities as they grew up. Emery and Cody became inseparable and fought like siblings.
Nick and Amber, her parents were the outdoorsy type and often drug her along on some of their outings. Personally, she didn't mind going, although sometimes she would have rather stayed in civilization. Exactly two years ago, her parents had left on their second honeymoon, while Emery stayed with the Reynolds family. They had gone on a short Alaskan cruise, and on their way home, decided to take a mini trip through the mountains to go snow skiing. What seemed like a fun and spontaneous idea turned out to be a horrific tragedy, especially for their daughter. As the two love birds exited the ski lift at the top of the mountain, they heard a terrible tremble in the mountain side, and watched in horror as the avalanche engulfed them. They knew there was no escape.
Two days and three worrisome nights later, the Reynolds's house phone rang, passing on the news of what had happened; and right then and there Emery's world came crashing down around her. She went into a depression for about the next year and only kept her head up for the Reynolds's sake. She loved them all dearly, and was very grateful that they had taken her in as their own child, but couldn't help but grieve over the loss of her own parents. Even though time may not completely heal all wounds, time did help loosen the vice grip that grief had on her heart enough to begin to enjoy life once more. And she owed that all to the Reynolds family, their support and love meant the world to Emery, and couldn't thank them enough. Plus, they just approached her with the prospect of adopting her as their own child, while she is not opposed to the idea, Emery hasn't given them an answer on it yet.
Emery is not the only one taking the loss of her parents hard. Jenny, Cody's mom, was having troubles of her own, and the whole family decided that it would be easier on everyone if they moved to escape the painful memories and places of Portland. So, off to Forks they went...
Personality: Emery is very reserved, until you get to know her. She is perfectly content being a homebody, but doesn't pass up the chance to be with the people she loves, and have a good time. She is very laid back, but sometimes finds herself worrying a bit too much. She does her best to stay focused on the present and look forward to her future with out worrying about the "what-ifs." She voices her opinion when it's needed, otherwise she goes with the flow.

Likes: Getting lost in her music - any music at all, playing the guitar, Cherry Coke, and making funny faces.
